But let me also give a quick explanation of insect pest control: There are different ways of handling pest control but both biological (using another living organism, often a parasitoid wasp) and chemical pest controls work better at certain times in the pest's life cycle. Several of those invasive pests? BEETLES. So yes, you want to know their sex lives to know how and when they have sex and when that means their eggs will be laid or larva will hatch so you know WHEN to attack. Otherwise, you're throwing away millions of dollars and it probably won't even work.
