They don't do merchandising like they used to, which makes no sense and perfect sense.
You would think capitalism would want to make more money, therefore make more cool things. But also they want more money so they cheap out.
#I'm sorry but my thick Monster High blanket is literally so cool and so detailed.#And it is not lost on me that the detailing is in part because Monster High is a fashion brand.#But like Rainbow High and Shadow High are basically this generation's Monster High.#And the dolls themselves are AWESOME and I love the minisodes.#But they simply don't have the same amount of merchandising Monster High had.#Where are the movies? The comforters and pillows? The costumes? The alarm clocks and books?#The clothes sold in Walmart so you can dress in a similar fashion your faves would? Plushies?#Monster High lipbalm was sold it Walmart. Rainbow High lipbalm is sold in the dollar store. I think this sums up my point perfectly.#Sometimes I'm a capitalist sympathiser. I love commercials on DVDs and seeing billboards on road trips. I love buying merchandise.#It's hard to be a superfan of anything now.#Because there is either a lack of merchandising or the merchandising sucks ass so they can make more money I mean money I mean money I mean#more stuff that fans can enjoy. Yeah totally.#Grrrrrrr
