I took some time to read and analyze your reply, and I must say, I do apologize for bringing up such a sore topic for you. I can relate to your previous situation. Don't worry about the use of language, or if you think if you might have rambled on for too long. I don't mind! Oh! I forgot to introduce myself, how rude of me! You can call me Mantis or Plush. (To the Muse: I saw your little tags, and you're welcome! I always like seeing a character's lore! I like what you've done for Christopher!).
“It’s quite alright. You were only curious.” Christopher gives a nonchalant wave of his hand. “I haven’t spoken about my family very much, so you wouldn’t have known it was a sore subject.” “And it is a pleasure to properly meet you, Mantis,” he says with a slight bow. “I must say, you seem to be quite a considerate person. That is a great deal more than I can say for many other people who have sent in asks, so I feel like we’re already off to a good start.” He smiles.
#that-artistic-mantis#ic#{I'm the mun actually; Christopher's the muse lmao#Mun stands for ''mundane''#And thank you! I'm always very excited to share the lore I've come up with for Christopher#and I'm glad you like it! :D}

I wanna keep this brief (graphic design is my passion level effort but also it kinda works in a really funny way) !!! I wanna let you all know I appreciate the love you've given Zagreus and I'm so so happy to be here. You're all great and wonderful and I could say so many good things to say about each and every one of my mutuals. So fuck it, that's what I'mma do. Because you all truly deserve it. I'm super happy with Zagreus and being able to share my portrayal and have it be well received means so much !!! It's easy to say 'thank you all so much' but I want to acknowledge that I truly do appreciate and care about each and every one of my mutuals, even if my time / availability makes it tough at times. PART 1/4
@withinchains / @hercarnality : Elle you already know how much ily so I'm gonna keep this short. You're such an amazing friend and writer and you already have the screenshot about me gushing pinned so eat my shorts and play arams with me. Your Morgana is to die for and you write every character to a fucking T because of how you just interpret all their personalities and put them into words SO effortlessly.
@lasraichean : NEMO U SMELL LIKE BEEF and I think you're fantastic. You pour so much effort into all your OCs and that passion does you so much credit. You absolutely shower Annie with love in such a way that I shower everyone else with unrequested amounts of fromsoft lore so MWAH.
@blackrosesmatron : Lucy your LB is fantastic and you're so easy to talk to and communicate with. Genuinely every time we sit down and plot I find myself getting so enthralled in her antics and character. You do her so much justice
@avernusfuries : HAN You single handedly made me like Karlach and that isn't even a joke. Before we met and started writing I always thought her story was one of the weaker ones and you somehow managed to turn her into one of the more realized characters in the game. HATS OFF TO YOU and every day I beg for more of this big doofus.
@feuerwizard : Crys I know I need to get back to you for plotting things, I've just been so busy but I want to say: You and some of the other CR writers you write with are so talented and I adore reading your posts. Were it not for you guys I still probably wouldn't have any interest in CR and I'm so so excited to get started with more stuff and actually get threads going!
@soulcluster : Lilah I think all your portrayals are excellent. Your MM deserves all the attention it gets and I honestly couldn't pick a favorite muse if gave me truth serum. Plotting with you is a blast and I'm so thankful for all the ideas we pass between eachother!
@pitgritted : Your Sett, Taric, and Mutli are all so well done Jojo. I can tell you really care about all the people you write and it shines so brightly, right down the amount of detail you place into every reply and how you format things. Passion shows in the end and this is no exception!!
@palespawn : This sassy motherfucker. We've only just started writing and I still need to get to replies but you've showed interest since almost day one and I cant say how much I appreciate that. Courtney you do such a beautiful job with the twink, I almost dont wanna stab him. Almost~
@infinitysagas : I first of all wanna say thank you for writing such underappreciated characters. To see Damon get love brings me so much joy, I always take a second to read his posts when I see them come up. I know we haven't done a ton but please know that I see your writing and totally wanna do stuff, I'm just very busy skdjhf.
@deathdxnces : Irelia was a character I never cared about too much, but how you humanize her so much and have expanded on her character beyond what Riot's given us does SO much for me. I actually adore how you portray her, Mel, and I wish to get writing at some point soon!! I know you liked a starter a bit ago and I do plan to get to that, but please do not hesitate to hit me up for plotting in the meantime. It really does help and I promise I don't bite!!
@tealbeats : I know you're not super active on Ez (and I still owe you a lot of stuff actually) but I wanna say I love the amount of his personality you're able to paint into every interaction. You have such a way of making him the perfect amount of insufferable (in the best way) while still twisting it in SUCH an endearing light. I love that annoying little bug and I'm so glad you do too, because it really shows.
@agonizedembrace : Han it's been really nice to reach out and get into contact again. You're genuinely a really funny, interesting, and thoughtful person who cares about Evelynn in such a way that brings out every aspect of her character. The agony, the sex appeal, the sass, the confidence, you just nail all of it and I'm really hoping we can get stuff going soon!
@bendwill : Elder scrolls blogs are few and far between, but Miraak is absolutely one of those characters that deserves to be more written out. We haven't gotten to do a ton but please don't hesitate to hit me up and scream ideas at me, the idea of Tamrielic Zagreus is very fascinating to me. (And also I need somebody to ramble about my Oblivion D&D Campaign ideas with skdfjh)
@ofweave : First of all, trans gale is based as fuck and you have a vision. Second of all, I know you're on hiatus but once you come back I'd be so happy to get the ball rolling with this stinky wizard man!!
@kismetwilled : I'm not gonna lie, seeing how you pour effort into your headcanons and thoughtful replies kind of inspired me to do similar with my own. I also want to say that I'd love to plot more and yell ideas all day with you, your style is gorgeous and I find myself appreciating characters on your blog I've never even heard of or are barely familiar with. Seriously Dani, it's top tier and I'm so happy to be mutuals.
@enrogued : We haven't gotten anything started with but I'm so hyped. Rogue as a character has such fascinating potential with her powers, and that's not to mention her attitude towards others in general. Once stuff gets started I'm probably never gonna shut up in your DMs but like that's a constant sdfjkh STILL!!
@lunarrepel : Shadowheart my beloved. The aesthetics, writing, dialog, everything you do with her is SO on point and I can't get over it. I was already biased and liked her after Larian adjusted her a bit during the beta phase of BG3 but still. Man you just nail her and I'm so excited to develop these two out. They give wine aunt energy and THAT alone gives me so much life.
@dreadgloom / @cinderschild : I wont lie to you I was GIDDY when I found out you wrote a WoTR character. I honestly expected that fandom to have more of a presence on tumblr but I'll take what small fanclub we can get right?? And also can I comment on the takes you have from Salvatore are absolutely genius and play really well into WoTC's drow?? Genuinely fantastic worldbuilding and it's always a pleasure to see you crop up on the dash.
@nightsbloom : Your headcanons and replies have been gorgeus and I just want to say despite me being really busy and not getting around to approaching yet, I'm so excited??? Also a while back you reblogged a Qimir gifset and it's still living rent free in my head so thank you for the food chef--- Please though, if you have any thoughts or even just dynamic ideas - toss them at me at mach 5 and I will run with them because I'm HYPE.
@spiderwarden : I think you officially win the title of Minthara's #1 fan. Her performance (as I've mentioned) is absolutely captivating, as is your writing. I'm very excited to see where her interactions with Zagreus go and writing with you (or even just seeing your random hc posts and comments) is such a blast. I will always sit down and listen to you ramble about her, I think she's so fascinating and that's in no small part to how you manage to inject so much life and love into her despite all the cut content.
#| mun. |#I LOVE Y'ALL SM#I wasnt sure how to thank you all in the right way so I just#thanked you all#KJFHDKJFDHKDF#IT MEANS THE WORLD TO ME AND TO THOSE WHO I HAVENT INTERACTED WITH?? Please#Please send me stuff bc I see you and I want to do things!!

Thank you for all your answers! I can't explain how excited I am about this story of yours. I want to gnaw on your brain. 😅 Hope that doesn't sound too weird.
Marc is one fucked up guy. They need to arrest him because that's so damn bad. Seriously, how did Quinn get away from him? Why do I get the feeling that Quinn didn't fully get away from him?? Is he going to make a surprise villain appearance? D=
I think Danny and Vincent should team up and stab Marc. <3
Please tell me Quinn doesn't pull the same choking RACK stuff with Vincent. I can't imagine Vincent would be happy with Quinn pushing himself like that, even if he's feeling low.
I know a psych eval would bench Quinn forever, and that wouldn't be good for him, but boy does that boy need some better coping mechanisms. A couple of therapists. A lot of hugs. Just, all the love.
I'm glad Vincent cares about Quinn so much, but I'm also excited for the potential drama as he tries to get Quinn realise he cares about him. It sounds like Quinn is going to make it as difficult as possible for Vincent before melting into his arms.
I'd love to know more about Vincent's complicated feelings, especially about the evil vampires, and Quinn's visions. I just love hearing all your speculations and lore domes, no matter how drama or trauma filled they may be. <3
Please by all means continue munching my brain, it's very motivating !!!!
Marc is the worst for sure. And his ass needs to be incarcerated stat, but unfortunately he's rich and powerful, sooooo... dot dot dot Quinn had 'broken up' with him a few times, but there was always a something pulling him back, so maybe he's still feeling that tether.... (don't worry, Marc will have his comeuppance eventually, I am just building sweet sweet tension)
I would not be opposed to Vince and Danny giving him a stab or two 🤔..
(And he will make an appearance btw; his company is funding the task force, hehehe.....)
As for Quinn and his, uhh. not great habits in the bedroom, that's also something that may come up as a point of drama. I can see him trying to push Vincent into being rough with him, even taking it too far when he's feeling particularly..not great. Predictably, Vincent will not be a fan of this, hence the ✨drama✨ I do think they can eventually develop some healthier bdsm-type stuff for Quinn, but for now--he's not got the best history with sexual risk-taking, and he's probably going to steer towards something that's not very safe or sane 😬
asdfgh honestly at this point, I'm not even sure if there's therapy strong enough to help him 😭 Which is why it's crucial that he has Vincent now, and more importantly--FIG, who is perhaps the best thing he has for feeling good and happy in his life 🥺🙏 hugs are also appreciated
There will definitely be a lot of future drama, in fact, I keep chewing over potential scenes and rubbing my hands together like a totally normal not-insane villain...
Vincent is *very* concerned about Quinn's visions, moreso than Quinn himself. He's got sooo many questions and very little answers. And his ties to certain evil vampires in the past might start becoming relevant again, so that's always fun to revisit....
I have a loooot more stuff I've been contemplating, so I will share accordingly, or perhaps get off my ass and actually write this damn thing 😤 Please standby <3

I'm really excited about everything tbh! Buuuut mostly Hullaballoo bc that's the lore I've been most invested in aside from Luca, Frederick and Naib's (Ofc I'm not biased can't you tell? XD) Long ramble incoming ;u;
I'm OBSESSED with the Violetta face reveal I love her sm she's so cute and precious and deserves all the hugs in the world. If they're actually giving her a surv form I will be a pure violetta main till the day I die. I already main SW XD
and H U N T E R M I K E
oh my GOSH HE LOOKS GOOD. While I think the tall skinny hunter trend is kinda meh overall, this works for him. I love the twisted rusty springs and his torn bombs and wild hair and pasty face it all looks so unhinged and I'm here for it!! And his S-tier for the essence is GORGEOUS! I can't wait to see his gameplay!!
Also his name is Hullaballoo which is Perfect as someone else mentioned somewhere that after Bernard's death Mike was the one who would have taken over the circus. I also like it bc it seems out of all the involved characters, Mike's really the one who saw the circus as his family and his everything. It would make sense he would take that as his name in his hunter identity, which he gained while trying to find the one who destroyed Hullaballoo circus, since the name is all that's really left of it anymore.
The temporary roguelike mode and Scribbled ideas are interesting! I see all kinds of good chaos coming from that XDDD While I don't think I'll use scribbled ideas much myself, I'd love to see what other people come up with. I think it's great the devs are pushing the boundaries of what they can do with the game now.
I already predict the Hullaballoo map is going to make me laugh and cry bc it's what used to be and should have been but for the Massacre. I hope to see Jeffery in his prime taking care of his animals ;u;
back to the Hullaballoo event I'm PSYCHED for the new music coming out!!! I always love new songs to learn and the vibe of hullaballoo in particular has always been a weakness of mine.
I'm really happy to see some characters, like explorer, finally getting some love as well! I know some explorer mains and it's so so nice to see them finally have content for their favorite characters after being ignored for years ;u;
And also...ALL OF THIS RIGHT BEFORE COA
There's just sooo much going on!!
-💀
I’m so glad you’re happy with everything! And you’re right there’s so much going on it’s very exciting. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!!

So exited for the next part of your BotBW review! I’m really enjoying reading them with your insight and knowledge of the og series.
Thank you; I'm glad I get to share my knowledge and that people are enjoying it. I thankfully haven't had anyone tell me it's annoying or that I'm being unfair and need to let New Wish stand for itself. I don't mind letting it be its own thing, but I like doing what I do with it.
I actually just looked through my Riddle watches TUFF tag tonight and realized I was also comparing it to FOP and 'fics-
Ex: Debut episode gives us an ancient artifact that can control rats, which was ridiculously perfect for my existing lore of Anti-Cosmo being descended from a rat deity, which... does not make sense when I say that out of context, but he is LSKDJF... he's descended from both Ratoncito Pérez and Cadmea the Teumessian Fox and this is actually on his Cloudlands AU family tree. Anti-Wanda's descended from Laelaps! Also - of all things - "T.U.F.F. Puppy" confirmed my "if you jump universes, you destroy the original" headcanon that I'd set up for Evil Jimmy Neutron so ?? that wasn't something I thought was gonna come up Yes Foop has extraordinary amounts of trauma about his post-"Playdate of Doom" experience why do you ask
- and anyway, seeing that I've always been doing it like this made me feel a lot less nervous. I just like getting excited about things.
So... thank you very much for telling me you like my liveblogs. I DO get nervous about how I blend my New Wish liveblogs with OG series commentary, and I really appreciate hearing that people enjoy them.
For funsies, here are some doodles that didn't make the cut for my next liveblog post, which is mostly doodles of Younger Dale:

Happy #AudioDramaSunday wanderers! It's once again time for a weekly round up of listens! Starting things off with the @tellnotalespod minisode which was wonderful as always. I love getting to hear Riley and Julia's little adventures they're an excellent duo
New @camlannpod was the perfect mix of heartbreaking and terrifying. I adore the little bits of world lore that are peppered in every episode. People like Arthur and Gwen being able to manipulate? 10/10. Gwen using that power how she did? 10000/10. I'm absolutely adoring Camlann
New @woebegonepod was. Wow. I don't have anything to say other than wow. I'm still so concerned and will remained concerned until Nobody is dealt with. Dylan's detached Mike voice that he used for Nobody haunts me (affectionate)
@innbetween was wonderful as always. Max is one of those characters where I'm like "well they kinda deserved this" but Rukes makes me go "okay but maybe they don't deserve *all* this". I'm still wondering why they stay with the group and cant wait for them to get found family-d
The Technomancy Project season finale did irreparable emotional damage to me and I do mean that as a compliment. This has been and will remain one of my favorite shows and if you're looking for something to listen to I highly recommend it. It will hurt you! And you with thank it!
@souloperatorpod early access also did irreparable things to me. I regret saying that Tot can do whatever she wants forever because she *is* using that power to hurt me. Yall are in for a treat tomorrow, every episode of this show is better than the last!
I'm still very far behind but a massive welcome back to @hellofromthehallowoods who kicked off their new season this week! I look forward to getting caught up!
Surprising no one, I did a full @thegrottopod relisten this week. I also got a Grotto themed tattoo. If my words of endorsement have not worked so far, please consider the fact that i have a quote from this show tattooed on me. Thats how good the show is. Listen to The Grotto PLEASE
Here on the Fringes we released episode 22 to the public and have released our penultimate episode of the season over at patreon.com/PineTreePods! The upcoming episode is one of my favorites, I can't wait to scream about it some more after its properly released. Our lovely cast has also received the scripts for season 3 which means the final season is officially underway! I'm still writing the finale but the other 11 episodes are written and in the hands of this wonderful cast. I can't wait for y'all to see what's to come!
Thats all for this week! I've got some fun things in the works both for the Fringes and for Forged Bonds that I'm excited to share when the time comes. Until then I'll be listening to so many podcasts and probably also the grotto again because i got a tattoo and already wanna relisten
*Edited because I got Ruke's pronouns wrong the first time! They're they/them and they're gonna get found family-d so hard I'm so excited

Okay now EYE must ask you - how are you liking BG3??? How far are you?? Tell me about your Tav!!!! (Please and thank you <3)
hi!! 💖 i only started the game a few days ago and it was an impulse decision i made after having previously told a friend of mine that i definitely wanted to play it but that it'd probably take me a while to get around to it (and, because i thought i wouldn't play anytime soon i hadn't really been trying to avoid spoilers). but, i have the PC version and while it generally runs just fine, my computer is kind of slow and the game is so big that it took hours to download and install. so i kind of went ahead and started to come up with a whole character idea during that time LOL. sorry if my explanations of things get a bit too rambly/disorganized. i'm actually not very far in the game at all yet, i've been spending a ton of time doing stuff in the druids grove and i'm supposed to go find halsin but i haven't even gotten karlach in my party yet! i've recruited all the main companions except for her but i am excited to meet her. gonna put the rest of this under a cut for length.
my only background with DND is that i listened to the first campaign of the adventure zone and i've watched the legends of vox machina show. i also have a friend who's super into her own DND campaign and another friend who's told me a lot about dimension 20, specifically fantasy high--and i've considered trying it out for her but haven't gotten around to it yet! i think she actually told me the same thing about the episode lengths making it easier to get into than critical role, because i had tried critical role and it was just so long that i couldn't stick with it. but, yeah, i've also looked at the forgotten realms wiki a bit but i've never actually played DND. i have played skyrim and final fantasy 14 and some other similar RPGs with customizable blank-slate protagonists, and in those types of games i always have to make OCs to roleplay as--usually i'll think up a basic idea to start with and then flesh the character out as i get into the game. they're never really self-inserts but i do often project onto them a little.
so, in games like these my first character is usually an elf that specializes in elemental/destructive magic. idk why, that's just what i've always liked. in ff14 i started out as a black mage without knowing it was the hardest class to play LMAO. soooo i went into this planning to create a high elf sorcerer, but as i started writing out ideas and thinking about what to do, i ended up creating a half-high elf bard. they're transmasc/nonbinary and in my head they use he/they pronouns, but i picked the nb option in the character creator and that causes npcs to actually use they/them in dialogue which i think is so cool. i love that the character creator is so inclusive in regards to gender.
anyway, i named them elenion, which is something i took from the lord of the rings universe because i'm a huge nerd. in LOTR it's an elvish word that basically means "of the stars". here's a couple screenshots i took when i first started. let's just ignore the fact that this hairstyle clips into elf ears (and also that the face preset is from a mod i downloaded).
i didn't really give him a tragic backstory or even the most interesting story haha--i'm wanting to do something bigger and angstier with another character on a second playthrough when i'm more familiar with the lore and world of the game. and i'll probably also end up changing or expanding on some things about this character later, but for now i just kind of made a normal guy with normal problems. i had this idea that his father, a human who attracted the attention of a beautiful elf woman, was also a bard and was a very successful musician in his youth. so elenion has always shared his father's passion and dreamed of being like him, being able to effortlessly tell incredible tales and inspire crowds of people through song, but no matter how much he studies and practices he never feels good enough. if he seems confident it's usually just because he's gotten really good at faking it. he's also pretty reserved and often avoids having to talk about himself by asking a lot of questions. see, i kind of wanted to specifically find a way to not roleplay the usual sort of loud, flirty, goofy bard, lol. not that i dislike those kinds of characters or anything though!
however, bards are meant to be super charismatic, witty, and persuasive and of course the game strongly encourages that with the dialogue options and skill bonuses you get. so my way of explaining this is to have elenion be a bit like raine from the owl house, in that they may be shy, but they're very firm in their ideals and are no pushover when it comes to protecting themself or their allies. they're clever and have a snarky side to them, and they're genuinely friendly and caring in a way that gives them a sense of quiet charisma. which reminds me that one of the spells i gave them at the start was sleep, and it's made me imagine that when they were a kid they tried calming a crying baby by playing a lullaby on their lute and accidentally ended up casting their first spell.
oh, and, i also wasn't really sure at first where in the world i wanted elenion to come from but i decided on something pretty quickly after getting multiple of those dialogue options suggesting that the protagonist is baldurian! i pictured them growing up in a somewhat small town with their family but moving to baldur's gate as an adult, hoping that if they left the comfort of their home and started to journey out into the world a little they'd eventually find their spark and become the bard they wanted to be. unfortunately they've had little luck so far because even after all this time they can't see that maybe their whole fixation on trying to be just like their father and achieve the exact same kind of success that he had is holding them back. the fact that their father died the year after they moved away hasn't helped either. and now, in the middle of traveling to a historical site that they'd wanted to see in person and use as inspiration for a song, they've been abducted by mindflayers and are struggling with the massive upheaval that this has brought into their relatively mundane life.
so. yeah. my tav for this first playthrough may not be the most unique or exciting character but i like him! i like figuring out what kind of choices he'll make and thinking up new ideas for what he likes and how he sees the world. also, i find it funny how in your reply to my ask you said you thought you'd be into gale but then you fell for astarion--because i thought that i'd be all over the edgy, brooding, snarky vampire man, but it turns out gale is so charming and funny that i'm probably going to romance him first. i'm also pretty intrigued by shadowheart and wyll but i'm so early in the game that i can't even say who i think my overall favorite companion will be because they all seem so interesting!! even karlach despite the fact that i haven't actually met her yet, i've seen a bunch of cool gifsets of her and my brother told me he's been romancing her on his playthrough. i really need to go find her soon.
i'm sure you can tell from everything i wrote here that i am definitely enjoying the game LOL. i can already tell that there's just so many different things to do and see, that i will both need and want to do a lot of different playthroughs and that it's going to be something that sticks with me. nothing wrong with using guides and walkthroughs btw! i do it too because i'm worried about missing too many things and have the world's worst sense of direction even with a minimap. honestly i probably need to look up some guides for certain mechanics that i don't feel like i've really figured out yet. there's a sarcophagus trap in the ruins early in the game that got me SO stuck and got my whole party wiped and then i looked up a video and found out you could turn off the whole trap system by pushing a switch... i felt so stupid askjdfgf.
anyway, i think this got to be way too long of a reply so i will stop here! but if you ever wanna tell me more about your tav or anything definitely feel free to and i hope you're having an awesome day!
#asks#nerdalmighty#i hope all of this actually makes some kind of sense lol#i'm really not a great writer but i just think coming up with OCs with fleshed out personalities#and trying to get into their heads makes games like this more fun#and also ty for the ask!! 💖#baldur's gate 3

i have to ramble about gw2 tumblr and why i like it and how much i appreciate you guys hold on. long + a minor vent maybe below the cut.
I was in the community like 8 and 9 years back, pretty active in... 2014-2016 maybe? and *I* had a lot of fun just sharing stuff and reblogging and gushing about things and how much I liked other peoples' characters, but always felt a wall of separation with other bloggers who Did Not seem to appreciate it or want to be near me so it was like. simultaneously a lot of fun and also very isolating at times. anyway didn't play for a bit then couldn't play for a long while... coming back to the game, and then later the community early this year, I feel like I found all the right people to follow and lurk around and talk to. like for the most part it feels like people are as excited to be here as i was and am, it feels like everyone's having a similar amount of fun as opposed to just like, tolerating me silently. and I really like being able to share stuff that I make here sometimes.
I have a complex about being too much/ too annoying to others, and with being ignored, and my friends are aware that I have this kind of issue and that being ignored hurts me a lot. And several of them have similar complexes resulting from being ignored and mocked as children so I know they get how painful it is to have those feelings set off. But I've been told that it's selfish and unrealistic that I want my friends to care about things I say and do so it's. I dunno it doesn't make sense to me but I'm viewing it from my own perspective so maybe they see something else... but it's frustrating and hurts to talk about my stuff and post things especially art I'm really proud of and it'll be dead silent for like 3 days, and then someone else will post art and the chat will blow up with everyone discussing their art instead. 🧍♂️ I don't know. feels selfish just to say. I can get friends not reading my writing or what I say on chats or not wanting to come to my streams, or a cold shoulder to a certain point... I just don't really share stuff with friends anymore, because knowing that they don't care about my stuff and that it's wrong to want them to care about it doesn't make it hurt less for me. I'm working on that to try to change that about myself but it's slow.
Anyway all this to say I really appreciate having the gw2 community u_u I live a pretty isolating existence and I don't get to go crazy and talk about my stuff often or show people what I've made. And I love seeing everyone else get to do the same. It's a lot of fun even like. Holding myself back to not be too ? weird about everything in the world. I'm having a lot of fun and I enjoy seeing peoples' characters and reading their lore and reading AU stuff, and just looking at your posts with my big eyes. I'd love to play with more of you in game too. Um but that's basically it, thanks for being cool and letting me hang out and blorbo post among you. it means a lot that so many people get excited about Alba for me. like at the April art party when I showed up and people came running at me to see me it was startling and I clammed up out of nerves but also it was? reaffirming that people actually like him and wanted to come see him! 😊 OK wrapping it up cool community, having a good time. meow. alba image for whoever reads this.

hey curator!
I was wondering how you keep things organized in large stories (such as Deja Vu). I am having TWST au ideas, and I'm getting a little overwhelmed trying to figure out how everything would tie together and how to keep it organized.
seeing how well fleshed out Deja Vu is inspired me a bit to try my hand at writing. even if I never share it, I'd like to make an attempt.
Ah! That sounds really exciting! To all my followers looking for some TWST content, definitely keep an eye out on this person's stuff. As for organization, I have a few systems in place. First, to organize information, I have an entire document labeled "Stuff you want to touch on and don't want to forget" - And it's FILLED with information that's quickly and easily accessible to me. The series didn't start off with that though, so my disorganization might actually be easier to see in earlier chapters if you look closely enough! I did try to fix my major inconsistencies when I went through and re-formatted everything though. It really helps with organizing my thoughts and details so I don't have to re-read old chapters, which is what I was doing originally. It also makes sure to keep me from making major inconsistencies, because as I'm writing, I can go "Now wait a second, MC experiences time at a different rate than the demons in devildom. They wouldn't normally be awake at noon-" and I can make adjustments to the chapters I'm writing so they stay aligned with all the stuff I've already formulated. Things will still slip through the cracks with this method though, especially as your stories get bigger! I highly recommend organizing within your document, so you have areas appropriately dedicated to different segments of story details. Some good organization sections I recommend: - World Lore (Important details about the world and how it works, that aren't established in cannon) - Loose Ends (Things you've left hanging that you plan to pick up later, but don't want to make your chapters too long, or you want to do this in the background.) - Key Relationship Moments (Any moments that benefit or damage the relationships between characters, so you can make sure you're writing more consistent relationship dynamics and not forgetting any weird things you left hanging, or any important segments that need to be addressed.) (I would HIGHLY recommend organizing this one by characters, so you can skip over to "Has Riddle had any weird or notable moments with anyone that would be a fun callback in this chapter?" without having to re-read every character interaction you've ever written for that series, lmfaooo) You can definitely add more or less segments to fit your writing style, but these ones have helped me a TON. Secondly, the other organization system I have in place is how I write chapters. I save them all as separate chapters instead of writing into one massive document. This helps me organize my thoughts by the chapter instead of getting lost in all the other stuff I've written. This also allows me to reframe a chapter I've written as "First draft", "Second draft", ect.. and completely re-write the chapters without getting rid of anything I've written in case I want to use it. In a similar vein, I have a master document that holds ALL of my cut content from my Deja Vu series, which allows me to edit very strictly so that the flow for each chapter is a lot better than when I started writing, and I don't lose any of those things. There's so much that gets dropped on the cutting room floor for my Deja Vu series, which can be really hard for me, so I tuck it all away so I can always come back to it later. The last two are more of an "Organization for an easily-scrambled brain" kinda advice, but I do hope that helps you on your writing journey! Thank you for reaching out!

So 14 months ago I decided I would bite the bullet and watch all of Rizzoli and Isles. LTY died and I stopped when it was airing, so I'd seen seasons 1 and 2 because we're behind when it comes to tv. And I was pretty sick so I wanted something to always be on when I woke up, and seven seasons was long enough.
And 13 months ago I was struck by the idea of Maura, haloed in light, and Jane looking at her and just being like 'fuck, I love her' so I wrote a silly little thing about how they share their beds that's probably been done a thousand times before. I don't know; I've read maybe 3 fanfic for the show? So I don't have what most people would have - a fandom lore, or a commonly accepted headcanon (or even a set hair/eye colour!) for any of my work, and the reason for that is that I don't want to be mirroring or shadowing anyone else's work - I don't want to accidentally copy someone who put in days or months of effort a decade ago and... diminish it somehow? I don't know, this is something I often feel with Fandoms. And I know I'm missing out - I would love to sit down and read some Rizzles, a nice longfic full of longing and cuddles and misunderstandings and accidental kisses and murder and love and affection and antics but until I'm done I don't feel like I can? So I wrote a completely unhinged longfic (yes I know it's unfinished and thank you for not nagging me about it, I need to get all the new ideas out of my brain first before I can go back to a single dedicated fic like that) and then 179 other fics of varying hingedness and here we are.
13 months on and today my dash was just chockas of Rizzles and I love it and I love all of you reblogging and posting and creating art and gifs and fics (that it's painful not to read!) and fanedits and thesis and headcanons and I guess I'd like to thank you for indulging what turned into something very important. I've been writing my own books and they're nowhere near ready so this is not a promo or anything, I've just never stuck to writing long enough to get to this point and it's exciting.
So, onto the important part. I'm... not good with people, even digitally. I'm shy and nervous and I avoid interacting for the most part. Or I interact and regret it and disappear. I don't know what to do with people. Give me technology, give me a bird, I know what to do. Put a person near me and I turn into a bumbling buffoon.
So I'd really like to just thank you quietly for all the Rizzles on my dash and all the comments on my fics and then just slip away into the night like a shadow.
I didn't intend for any of this to happen, but I'm so glad it has. Thank you, and goodnight.

Jace, can I just say that the very first post that you make every day always lifts my mood and puts a smile on my face? It's so evident that you have so much fun on that dear boy, and it's so very contagious. I end up reading almost everything you write, no matter if it's ooc posts, gameplay things, threads, meta, the whole shebang. I just had to leave this here as a little note, in hope it also brightens your day. But thank you. You remain an absolute delight!
The way I frickin screamed due to your ask timing. Considering how much you've made this heartfelt post.
And the peach agenda just happened to be what I posted just mere moments before. FSDAFNDUSINGFs
But okay! Lemme go and get form fitting and appreciative boots on!
Let ME be the one to give some good honest thanks in kind for your loving words here Sae. I'm glad that acclimating into the Star Rail side of things have been more solid than I first imagined. It's not too often I join fandoms at the 'starting' mark so to speak, so I expected it to be an uphill battle!
Yet here Caelus was hitting my personal favorite character archetype of golden hearted (and passion strong) delinquents. It was just a framework I personally felt very excited to get into again. As much as I've experimented with characters, character types and giving a wide branch a genuine shot, in many ways it feels like leaning into this vein of character just feels like home irregardless of the RPC I'm in.
Often times whenever you see me hop around here, the first thing I prioritize is having some good fun, in expected or outright unexpected ways. It makes me pretty excited to just interact in general, to make personal character stories through my shared threads alongside of the game's content itself. Being one of the personifications of the Trailblaze, which often means being a guiding force for adventure just-- it hits so many things for me too? I love the as a general premise for rps.
Much as I love my character connections and depths, a world and it's lore, how it mirrors and bounces off the core concept and characters is just part of the formula for me. As it stands, the varied range that Star Rail introduces to me has gradually reignited my vigor to just go and mold some of my own works out here, and hope everyone who come and chills wit hem can have a genuinely good time themselves.
I'm also glad that at some point of the day, it just gives you a fun read. Whether for a laugh or just to ponder something about the series in question, and urge you to also maneuver you own craft of character study into the mix as well!
Genuinely? That's what the hobby is all about for me at the end of the day. I just want to come on and goof off with people, and to curate this particular space so people get the idea they're just hanging out at a table where they can screw around in kind.
Fite me for putting a smile on my face.
@orchideae out here getting a guy in the feels!

Hi! If it's alright, may I have some writing advice?
I have a long term wildcard wip I've been writing, like going through the journey that is wildcard, watching Kunigami's spiral. It's been slow going because that's life and it's the longest work I've ever gotten this far with.
With the latest chapter, I'm realizing I'm writing it with a VERY different flavor of darkness. I'm writing something with much lower budget, more hands off, madness than what seems like canonically went down.
I've still got probably 2/3 of my wip to write so I'm starting to wonder what to do. I started writing it knowing that what I came up with would be divergent from the actual plot, but since more is being revealed, it feels a little different now. Should I revamp the direction it goes, keep going with my original loose plan, or something else? Thank you SO much!
Hey anon! Thanks for the ask. This got rambly, so the latter half is under a cut.
So, the beauty of writing is that there is no correct answer to this question. I can't tell you to "do this!" or "do that!", because it's not my story. In short, my advice would be to go with the approach you feel most excited about and which brings you the most satisfaction overall. To that end, I'll talk a little about the writing process.
Firstly though, in respect of fanfiction, no rules apply when it comes to canon. You can write a gritty canon-compliant Wild Card fic based on what's been revealed in the manga, if working within the bounds of canon is a constraint you enjoy. But it's just as valid to write your own take on Wild Card. This can often be more satisfying, as you get to choose what tropes and themes are in focus.
But from your ask, your fic seem to be caught in the middle: canon compliant or at least plausible, up until this latest chapter.
Honestly? There's no issues with continuing to write your planned Wild Card outcome. If you enjoy developing and writing about Kunigami's psyche the way you have done, then keep going! Don't worry about how canon says he's doing. Your unique take is valid, regardless of what turns the manga eventually takes. Furthermore, if this is a project you plan to share, there's always interest in fics that branch away from canon in interesting ways.
That said, sometimes it's the act of filling in canon's gaps that motivates fanworks. You may feel put out or disinterested in continuing your fic based on what you now know from the latest chapter. That's a valid feeling, and I sympathise if that's the case. If this is where you're at (and only then), retconning to incorporate the difference may assist in rejuvenating your interest. I am hesitant suggesting this, because we're going to get further info on Wild Card as the PXG match progresses. I'd hate for you to end up rewriting every time we get a new lore dump! That would kill anyone's motivation and drive.
Ultimately, I suggest that you identify what motivates you to write this fic. What are you most excited by? What kind of scenes do you enjoy writing the most? What ones do you find the most difficult?
Here are a couple examples. (A) Are you driven to explore your vision of Kunigami's emotional state, his downfall from idealistic hero to emotionless cyborg? Does your writing tend to favour his thoughts on his predicament and actions? Are the events of Wild Card less important to you than the impact they have on Kunigami?
(B) Are you more interested in the structure of Wild Card, the how, what and why? Is your primary driver the world building of this elimination game, with a focus on how Kunigami overcomes these challenges to emerge on top? Are your scenes more action driven?
A disclaimer: you can be both, at different stages. But what I'd suggest you figure out which one you identify most strongly with. That should guide you as you work through this project, particularly if you feel you're at risk of losing steam.
(A) writers tend to be gardeners, as G.R.R. Martin described himself. They may have strong concepts for a character, a story or a theme, but are fuzzy on the details (the what and how). Writers like this write on vibes, but risk hitting a wall when they get stuck on plot details. These types can benefit from figuring out what the final outcome of their story is (for both plot + characters), then working backwards to figure out the steps of getting there.
If this sounds like you, my suggestion is to distill the journey you want to bring Kunigami on. How does he start off? What changes will he undergo? What causes those changes? How different is he by the end? Keep this simple.
Jot your answers down in bullet points. Then, write one or two sentence summaries of particular scenes you have envisioned. It doesn't have to be everything—just the parts you know you want to write. Put these together in order. Tada: it's an outline! The point of this is to create a sense of direction if that's something you're struggling with. You can always fall back on your outline if you're running out of steam. But you don't have to stick to it. You might find when writing that you (or the characters!) are resistant to your plans. If so, follow your gut. See where it takes you.
(B) writers tend to be serial planners or "architects" per GRR Martin's definition. An early mistake can be creating wonderful outlines for their stories, with lore and backgrounds for each character and event... without doing any actual writing. Architects derive a lot of pleasure from figuring out the how and when of a project. However, they need to take care to ensure the actual writing part remains novel and fun.
If this is you, try to pull back from the planning and just write. You don't have to start with your planned beginning. Write a scene of Kunigami eating his curry alone in the cafeteria, just before the second selection. Write about his views on feminism. Write about him going on a journey to the moon. Make it as ridiculous as possible. Afterwards, hide the draft and forget about it. The idea here is to unglue you from planner mode so you can successfully enter writing mode.
Overall, the best tip I ever got about writing is to make it a habit. Find five minutes in your day, every day, and make that writing time. Use your phone or pen on paper if you can't find time on a PC. Writing time can take place during your commute. It can be first thing in the morning. Right after dinner is a good one, or during your lunch break if you have time. Often those five minutes become fifteen, or fifty without you realising it. Sometimes it's more like one minute with four minutes of facepalming. That's also fine and completely normal. Just maintain the habit, however well or badly it goes.
On top of that—your writing doesn't have to be good first try. Something written is always going to beat the perfect (but unwritten) idea in your head. Those five minutes aren't enough to create a masterpiece. But you can always go back and edit, or rewrite. Get the bones of your fic out first. Then you can worry about quality.
Anyway, I'll wrap this up, as I've gone off tangent altogether. But I hope this helps you with your current project anon!

Just wanted to say thanks for your thoughts on the fandom for Astarion ❤️ It's really enlightening to get another perspective as someone really new(I'm not yet out of Act 1, and this is my first time playing a DnD game). I noticed this weird thing where people in his fandom specifically are bashing people for Ascending him. I don't know too much since I've been avoiding spoilers but I think *every* character is complicated. As excited as I am to be focused on romancing Astarion this route- I'm just as curious and excited about the other companions. Just makes me sad to see how divided the fandom seems to be.
Again, I'm not focusing on the other quest lines yet cause I'm so early, but I do wonder if there's a divisive moment in any of their storylines like Astarion's, and if there's just as much outrage about it. Ultimately I don't think there's a wrong or right way to play the game- part of the joy is seeing the way different choices change these characters we've come to know and love, and how they react to the circumstances and adapt.
...Also, unrelated, but you've singlehandedly gotten me into human kink and male drow specifically. Didn't think that was possible but your scenarios are...absolutely peak. Thank you for the food, and for dragging me more into DnD lore seperate from bg3! You're a gem! ❤️
Welcome to the game anon! It's so fun so please don't feel any need to rush through the game, take your time and enjoy it at your own pace. The fandom will always be here at the end of the day.
Feel free to share anything interesting you find, even if it's something you think people who finished the game saw already, it'd still be good to be reminded of it.
And yes I remember the ascended bashing incidents- those twitter threads were so long my god. The other companions do have something similar! I won't spoil anything but you will start noticing the patterns and shared themes in their storylines with each other.
But no, there isn't really any outrage around the other companions ultimatum moments, just Astarion. He is the star of the show in the fandom.
And it makes me really happy knowing i successfully infected someone with my human kink and drow propaganda <333 they live in my brain rent free, the world needs to hear about my theories on how the humans are clearly the most fuckable speices in dnd, in this essay I will-
It really boils down to humans being the most adaptable honestly, at their core every other speices is in some way or form, exclusive and closed off. Being friendly by nature and seeking out others, having strong bond with non-human creatures has always a huge part of humanity.
And I think that's lovely, also how we are the weakest in dnd, it's hilarious since we are fucking up every genepool we charm our way into.
Thank you so much for this sweet message it made me smile, and I re-read it a lot. Words mean a lot to me than i can describe, and hearing from someone else about how they like something i made is better than a million likes and reblogs. You did give me a time of your day to write this and send it, for that I am very grateful.

How do you approach writing? Do you have one process you use for every work, or does it differ for each project?
What's your favorite work you've written/are working on?
Got any fic ideas/project ideas stuck in your brain that you're excited about, but haven't put out there yet? If yes, would you want to share them?
Congrats on reaching 100!
1. How do you approach writing? Do you have one process you use for every work, or does it differ for each project?
I am a pantser through and through, and let me tell you—it is very hard for me to be any kind of plotter. (For those not in the know, a pantser is a writer who writes "by the seat of their pants," meaning they just start writing without a set plan in place.)
Generally speaking, my writing process is: get an idea that usually comes in the form of a single scene or event, write that scene or event, mull over whether that could turn into a full story, come up with more scenarios/conflicts and write those too, try to put those scenes in an order that makes sense. This is how I've been writing Don't Commit and it's... kind of a struggle tbh. I did try plotting for Gan Doesn't Die At the End, and that has certainly helped, though my outline is still pretty vague. @waterho-writes and I have completely plotted out Anger is but Passion together, but she honestly did most of the heavy lifting there, which I'm very grateful for. Having that outline to write from is hugely helpful.
Once I finish Don't Commit, I'm going to do my best to plot everything else I write because I know I'll be less stressed for it. Filling in the gaps between what I have posted and the ending (which is pretty much fully written) has been quite the struggle for me, and I'd rather not do that for any other long fics in the future tbh.
2. What's your favorite work you've written/are working on?
I think I have to say Don't Commit is my current favorite. Though it isn't the first fic idea I had, it's the first one I really started writing seriously, and I've put my entire soul into it. Sheik is a self-insert in a lot of ways, and including the world building I've put into this fic, there's a lot for me to be proud of.
3. Got any fic ideas/project ideas stuck in your brain that you're excited about, but haven't put out there yet? If yes, would you want to share them?
Oh I have SO MANY ideas for fics. I have a lot of docs that are just like, one scene or one chapter that are waiting for me to get started on. Of course, there's only so much I can work on at once lol.
One idea that really gets me going is my Fierce Deity/Ghirahim concept. I posted My Hero, My God, which is my Fierce Deity origin headcanon and the very beginning of this fic idea, but I intend to fully flesh it out at some point. I've always been interested in what the Surface is like pre- and post-Skyward Sword, especially what happens between the Demon War and our beloved Link going on an adventure to save his best friend. I haven't yet decided whether I want the fic to be short and spicy or long and slow burn-y. Whatever the case, it's going to involve a hefty amount of world building and lore exploring, which is something I especially love doing in the Zelda universe.
Thanks for the congrats and the Qs!

I wanted to ask Every Question but I narrowed it down to 5!! :D
🪄 what is your post-writing/sharing aftercare? How do you take care of yourself or celebrate yourself when you've finished a fic?
what is a fic that got a different response than you were expecting?
✨ What's a fic you've posted you wish you could breathe life into again and have people talking about it? (or simply a fic you wish got more credit)
🎀 give yourself a compliment about your own writing
💌 share something with us about an up-and-coming work (WIP) that has you excited!
🪄 what is your post-writing/sharing aftercare? How do you take care of yourself or celebrate yourself when you've finished a fic?
💝 what is a fic that got a different response than you were expecting?
One of the first fics I posted here! Returning the Favor was originally just something simple I wrote up on a lighthearted bet from @doofnoof yet is somehow my most shared fic to this day. I've been meaning to write a follow-up chapter with Sun (it's already started) but I'm not sure when it'll get finished. Ironically, Sun is a much harder character to crack when it comes to comfort.
✨ What's a fic you've posted you wish you could breathe life into again and have people talking about it? (or simply a fic you wish got more credit)
Definitely It's Curtains for You! It's a little rough around the edges and was left to gather dust because it's my only fic (currently) involving the Glamrocks, and I'm worried about getting their characterization right.
I feel like this story always slips between the cracks compared to my other fics because it's not an out-of-the-ordinary au in the same way Dead Mall Dare is, and maybe it's not as interesting because of that...idk. I'm more upset with myself over losing faith in it than the actual lack of fans for the story. I was its very first fan, after all, I ought to be putting in the work to show it!
It still holds a dear place in my heart and I do plan to complete it one day, but it may go through some revisions before that happens.
🎀 give yourself a compliment about your own writing
Ooooh. errrrr. 😬 mm. I think I'm decent at writing emotions? - at least when it comes to angst or comfort, which is what I consider my specialty. I used to really struggle with descriptions, especially scenery, but I think I'm getting the hang of it now.
💌 share something with us about an up-and-coming work (WIP) that has you excited!
The next Lost in Transmission (VHS au) chapter gives you a better look at Eclipse - that is, how they appear when put under stress, a harsh comparison to the small and subdued appearance they have now. It's a reveal that's happening sooner than I'd originally planned, but I'm pretty excited to show it off.
Then in the next chapter of Dead Mall Dare you get to learn more about Moon's situation, some lore involving the mall itself (and some hints about what happened on that Fateful Day so many years ago), and even a scene involving a high-stakes chase and some mall parkour. I'm plenty excited about that, too!
Thank you for the questions!! :D

FAMMMMMM?!?!?!?!
Chapter seven was literally everything?! Like, we finally have answers and now the ball is sort of in OC's court. Honestly when you said there were reasons why HJ was so... Lenient with half-daemons, I had an inkling it would be this, but to actually hear it from him gave me goosebumps. That apart, omg more context as to why the humans have treated her the way they have oof— also I knew there was something sus about them. I mean of course we don't have all the answers about the war, but I wonder why humans don't just... Stop? Considering only very few cities remain where they can live safely. But then again, what little we've seen of the humans does align with them not wanting to work things out.
I low-key feel bad for oc. I mean... She just wanted a normal life but fate really had no plans for that whatsoever. I totally empathise with her. But at the same time I also feel sorry for HJ, the first time he truly talks to her... She says that to him. Like ouch, that must have hurt.
(Random, but I've been working on this whole idea of fate vs free will in one of my papers. And... It honestly makes me wonder how much of an effect both have on the daemons, half-daemons, and humans in the world of ILAL. Like I understand that daemons have free will, but at the same time certain things have been laid out for them by destiny (or maetha). Then half-daemons are probably somewhere in the middle, but like I think they have more agency unless they're in a situation like OC lol. Then come the humans. So, even if daemons aren't angels (figuratively speaking), the fact that humans choose to do things the way they're doing just makes humans crueler I guess. Idk if I'm making sense?)
Can't wait to see where this goes from this point ahead. 🥺❤️ Thank you for sharing this beautiful story with us.
Aaawwweeee, thank you so much!! I’m glad you enjoyed it!! I was struggling so hard, but when I came back with a fresh head after a few days, things really just started flowing.
And, ahhhh, there’s like so much more I want to say and explain then what I put in this chapter, but I have to hold back because it really isn’t the right time or place to say it. I think this is one of the first works I’ve wrote where things aren’t always what they seem and there’s more going on then you know and it’s so hard for me to not just spit everything out. I’m absolutely terrible at keeping secrets, especially with things that I know other people are excited for (like it’s been a pain ordering Christmas presents and having to wait to give them. I just wanna give now.) so Im like, excited for you all to know things but really have to hold back and be like, no, you have to wait.
And fate vs free will is such an interesting topic, but honestly a hard one too. Major props to you to writing a paper on it! I think when it comes to In Love and Lore, i feel very similar to you! daemons do lean much more into fate, based on their magic. And I see this as a major factor on why things went so horribly for them in the end, because hj doesn’t see what he did was wrong because mc is his mate, and like, of course he’s going to do what he did. But mc isn’t from that world, doesn’t comprehend the weight of it, so she sees as his choice led to her not having one. And let me tell you, this won’t be the only time this difference in worlds/traditions is going to be causing problems.
And then I’d say the half-daemons probably lean the way they’ve grown up. They’re not as into fate as daemons, but as we’ve kind of seen with mc, she knows she has less free will than humans because of her status. There’s just certain things she can and can’t do because she’s not human. And I really like what you said about humans. you’re right, it does seem to make them crueler! Knowing there was a choice and yet still deciding to do it anyways.
Thanks for your kind words!! I always enjoy having these long asks/conversations with you!! :)
