Was there major role for the Romans in aruthrian legends(-ambrosius),can mc be a Roman, probably not as I think Camelot and the Romans were enemies.

In One Knight Stand, Arthur is descended from a Roman line of royalty/nobility (House Prydain -> House Pendragon) like he often is in the non-Welsh actual Arthurian lore.

Constantine III -> Constans II/Ambrosius/Uther -> Arthur

Constantine III and Constans being based on the actual Roman emperors of those names.

But at this point, just like in history, the Romans had already pulled out of the province of Britannia for over a century, which is why they're now getting overrun by the invading Germanic tribes (Angles, Saxons, Jutes, etc).

So most of the proper Romans present in One Knight Stand would generally be those attached to Emperor Lucius Tiberius' invasion (including Frollo and such).

There's actually a whole bunch of Emperors of Rome/Byzantine present in Arthurian lore, most of them terribly anachronistic, so I mostly tried to fit them into somewhat more historically accurate positions so there aren't half a dozen Roman emperors frolicking around Arthur's court (including time-traveling Julius Caesar, who became an emperor somehow!) while the Western Roman court was literally collapsing at the same time.
