As much as I love Shuriki and as much as i both enjoy her being evil but also the idea of being broken to the point of becoming a monster in the past (not justifying her actions but i do wonder about her childhood/ngl)
I was looking trough my pics and remember a subtle moment of hers that i love
Its small but i do love the fact that she has a moment of self-doubt (and almost human like XD) in a moment when She's struggles with the scepter of night.
I do think she was certainly doubting herself (as She does have confidence and/or she never lets anyone see her vulnerable side) but does make me wonder if she wasn't written off so early what type of sides we would see
I do personally headcannon on this situation two things
1. Since the Northern Islands is very strict when it comes to magic, she has this underlying pressure to excell as She's a sorceress and She's supposed to succeed (although i still stand her magic clashed with the scepter in a sorta water and oil)
2. this isn't the first time she failed at mágic. Contrary to what some fandom believes, i do think Shuriki knows a lot of magic but most likely was the outcast turn wrong. She does recognize magic crystals and knows how to do spells, but since she never got to fully use magic we don't get to see much sorcery
#elena of avalor#eoa#shuriki#rambles#I do like that moment#Its not talked much about#But like#Its the first time she id doubting herself#And i do like her expression and how she quickly hides it#But does make me Thing of the strong parallels she has with Elena#Like their similar impulsivity#Their overconfidence at times#outside the parents and past trauma#I think what made them strongly connect as nemesis was the fact that they were so alike Sometimes#Both made the same mistake when starting out with the scepters#And both were betrayed by Esteban/j#No but in all seriousness#I do wonder about the posibility that Shuriki would be the mirror of Elena if she didn't have morals or let bitterness and anger rule her
