Typeface: Pitch/Pitch Sans??

So I've downloaded all of klim's test fonts, because I think it's really cool that a local type foundry lets you try them out for free! I was scrolling through to see if I thought any would suit Imperfect; most of them are extremely perfect - it appears klim doesn't really dabble in an imperfect ethos.

I am looking for a monospaced type for my publication; I thought about sans serif and serif, but I noticed when I was doing my 100 images project that the arbitrarily chosen monospaced type (anandale) worked quite well in juxtaposition with the imperfect, irregular imagery. I think juxtaposing perfect with imperfect emphasises imperfect more than just imperfect; otherwise it's just hidden in the mess of imperfection. It looks more purposeful to have a grid system/clean type and then disrupt it. So I was on the hunt for a typeface that was monospaced, and also featured some kind of imperfection - I noticed that there are tiny little disruptions to the form of 'Pitch', that almost look like ink that's bled through the corners of a stencil when you see a word all together.; very analogue!!! I also really like the italic form!

I've noticed it looks really good printed (particularly on matte paper); more so than digital applications. I also noticed that it is used as captions quite a lot with a serif type.... Intersting.

Plus: font review journal uses it for their captions, so you know it's not a bad font lol.

lmao EXACTLY what I want to do with it.... I like the tall orientation, but to be honest it looks cute but is not really practical for how I would want someone to use my books!

Leaders of a church in Northern Virginia walked into the sanctuary on Tuesday and discovered racist graffiti on the walls, the cushion in every pew slashed open and the cords in the sound system clipped.

The vandalism marked the seventh time since May 11 that Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Anandale, Virginia, has been defaced — and this time was the most vile.

Vandals wreaked havoc on the main worship hall of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

The sanctuary walls were graffitied with racial slurs, a swastika and a message, "Youre (sic) all going to hell."

An alter of candles was shattered. The cords to the sound system were clipped. The cushions of every pew were cut from end to end. The kneeling cushions were slashed.

During the previous six break-ins, church leaders tell News4 that vandals seemed to focus on the basement, including by breaking windows. They have escalated since.

The string of crimes began on Friday, May 11, when police say the church was burglarized. Police say the vandals destroyed property on Wednesday May 16 and burglarized and destroyed property on Monday, May 18.

During a burglary on Monday, May 21, Brennan Hutchinson, a member of the church, confronted the intruder. A single masked suspect hit Hutchinson in the head with a fire extinguisher.

Cyclist on the dam I tend to take photographs with composition in mind, maybe except when I’m trying Street Photography, but other than that, its usually about how the scene shapes up, where the lines go, how much foreground versus background to use, and sometimes, even where the main subject should fall, although that is not always the case.
