graduation-gate ~ Monaco 2018

You’re content. 

For the first time since you joined F4, you’re content. You have rebuilt your relationship with you family (to an extent), you’re having a stellar Rookie season (best since Hamilton, who just so happens to be your teammate), your team is great, you’re racing next to your idols and your best friends (Charles is only a little jealous you’re on a top team), and you’re about to graduate high school, valedictorian and with about a million honors. 

However, right now, you’re halfway across the world from your school, in a presser that’s going at a ghastly slow pace, a day out from racing in the Monaco GP. You sit sandwiched between Seb and Kimi, on your left, and Nando and Lewis, on your right. All of them your idols. 

A few months ago, you would be totally freaking out and fidgeting because this is like, the big four. 

Well, the big three. Seb doesn’t really count.

Now, you lean your head back against the couch and sigh, just wanting the conversation to lull enough for the officers to call it good. When Lewis is asked an in-depth question about Qualifying, though, you know you’re in for a spiel.

You nudge Seb with your knee. He leans over to you, eyes still fixed on Lewis, but lending you an ear. 

“I’m graduating next Friday,” You whisper in his ear. “Can you make it?”

He turns to look at you, eyebrows furrowing. 

“I’ll see my schedule. Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”

You shrug. 

“Forgot.”

“And you decided to ask me in the middle of a -“

“Anything you two would like to share?” The moderator asks good-naturedly. You and Seb throw out identical annoyed glares, then put on poker faces. 

“Yes,” Seb says. Oh boy. “Y/n just invited me to her graduation.” He sounds very proud. You flash a gratuitous smile at the team of reporters covering this particular star-studded presser. 

Lewis leans over.

“Am I not invited?”

“¿Y yo?” Nando asks softly. “¿Porque no lo mencionaste?”

Kimi makes a soft noise. 

“You are graduating.. university?”

“No,” You roll your eyes. “high school.”

He raises his eyebrows, surprised, once again, at how young you actually are.

“And you guys,” you cast a look at Lewis and Fernando, before narrowing your eyes at a smug Seb. “can come if you’d like. I wouldn’t want to make Seb think he’s special or something.”

They all ooohh at that. Seb clutches his chest. 

“Right to the heart, Spitfire!”

The presser comes to a close quickly after that, but it’s imprint echoes in every single corner of social media for the rest of raceweek.

People trying to poke their noses into your business ask you where you go to school, when you’re graduating, if Seb, Nando, Lewis and Kimi are actually going. You just shrug and try to keep a straight face. 

After all, the Iceman has been giving you lessons.

Y/n, Seb and Kimi are in a presser together post-quali. She’s seated between them, as she qualified in pole, despite slightly slippery conditions.

“Y/n, this question’s for you,” Says a reporter. She leans forward, acknowledging the question. “We saw Lewis sitting with the team during the red flag, but we didn’t see you. Where were you spending the break?”

She smiles sheepishly and rubs the back of her neck, glancing over at Seb.

“I have an essay due tomorrow, so i was doing a final review on it.”

“What class?” That’s Seb. 

“it’s like a writing class? the whole point of the class is to write this specific research paper, which I have to write for my diploma.”

“How many words?” The interviewer asks. “And what’s your topic?”

Her face lights up. You can tell she absolutely loves to talk about this type of thing. 

“Mines about five thousand,” She says. “But it just has to be upwards of four. You can write about literally anything, so it’s pretty easy.”

“What’s your topic?” Kimi asks, not unkindly. 

She pulls a face. 

“Not a happy one. Fetishization of female innocence in literature and popular culture.” She seems to see the surprised faces the reporters are making and lets out a nervous laugh. “It’s not a fun topic, but I find it extremely interesting, and it somewhat applies to my life, too, so…”

She trails off. Seb picks up his mic.

“What do you mean by that?”

It’s genuine, curious. Not patronizing in the way that all the reporters ask her questions.

“I mean, there’s an expectation placed on women in the spotlight that we be.. innocent and good and pure, you know? And like, if you’re not, you’re a slut or a witch or something. And then we see this fetishization and fixation on innocence in things like movies and books. One of the books I’ve read for this essay is called Lolita?” She pauses. “It’s a very drastic depiction of hebephilia, and to me, it’s a bit satirical. While it’s about Freud and his theories, it also criticized ..”

And she talks and talks and talks. You can tell through the screen, her hand gestures, how she can’t seem to slow down, that she’s very invested. Seb has this look on his face, like he couldn’t be prouder, while Kimi listens, enraptured. Eventually, she rolls to a stop and puts both of her hands on her cheeks.

“Sorry,” she says into the mic. “I didn’t mean to talk that much.”

The interviewer assures her it’s fine, and they move on, and that’s when the video fades to black.

Evolution of Gyaru

Hello everyone the long awaited post is here!! Sorry for the delay I has gone back to my he country to celebrate Lunar New Year.

As we all know Gyaru was and still is one of the most important fashion movement in the history because it's roots of opposing the "good girl" and "submissive" societal views of women that Japan had imposed into them.

During 90's with Namie Amuro being the first idol ever to popularize the Gyaru culture created a huge wave of community in all over Japan which eventually created many subcultures under it, over the years gyarus blossomed for 2 decades heavily but around early-mid 2010's the culture slowly died because people were now really trying to shun them out of the society, gyarus was losing it's popularity and old gyarus were getting to age of finding jobs or trying to get married yet the culture is still alive. There have been multiple support and love coming from international fans too.

Egg magazine, which is holy grail for us gyarus followers is still up and running to this day <3

Today i'll show you just a little glimpse of modern gyaru. Hopefully this will help new followers too.

Gyaru of the past:-

So let's start with how gyarus are usually seen, pictures below are gyarus from their peak eras so definitely from 90's to 2000's. They are all different subcultures but they all have one thing in common the eye makeup, gyarus were and are still known for their beautiful luscious eye makeup. They are what you call

They were our guide, our mothers and everything! Gyaru has always been the most supportive community to ever exist, over here women were allowed to cuss, they were allowed to be brash, they were allowed to have male friends without the judgement of two goody shoes with insecurities, they were allowed to wear clothes that liberated them doesn't matter short or modest.

People often forget that gyaru exists more than manba, agejo and kogal, few of the modest and lesser knows subcultures are amekaji and roma gyaru, although amekaji is is blue eyed perfect grass is greener on the other side take of American inspired fashion. Either way it is one of the most fun subculture to exist.

We as gyaru followers ow everything to these past mother figures, without them and without brands like alba rosa, D.I.A and MA*RS we and egg Magazine teaching us what? How? And why? We would never thrive in this era. We owe it to them all even after decades and decades the magazines, scans and tutorials on YouTube by the OG gyarus have done it all <3

Modern Gyaru:-

The pictures below are the present models of Egg magazine. The last OG gyaru issue was stopped in 2014 which was Egg last physical print of magazine but in 2018 Egg came back as online magazine.

A lot has changed in gyaru world. Long gone are the days of owning specific clothing brand or even wearing clothes that resemble even the least of typical gyaru fashion. The only key point which hasn't changed is eye makeup because that is utmost necessary thing for a gyal to have.

Over the years of almost dying to again alive fashion culture the meaning of gyaru has changed a lot, from dressing like the OG gyarus we have now evolved to the whole "gal is mind" mindset, now in this era dressing up as gyal doesn't mean that much because you can still have pointy acrylic nails, iconic eye makeup, wear casual clothes and still be a gyaru.

These days even the gyaru slangs have changed so much like instead of poyo, atonsu, pachikoku now we use yarirafi, kyun-desu, daijuobu-so?, tobu-zo and so on.

Although there are egg models that still somewhat follow OG gyaru fashion like @ / mahiroisme (left) and @ / kae. 06256 (right) on IG.

Conclusion:-

By this post I just wanted to show that as time passes it is inevitable that everything changes and fashion changing is a no brainer. What is hate is companies capitalizing and making their own rules for lure in newbies gyals who would do anything to "fit in" and ring the nostalgia bell for old gyarus and all I have to say is that no, you don't have to spend 100-500$ on eBay trying to find the OG gyaru brands because you can definitely wear your own casual clothes and still be a gyaru because if egg magazine who raised whole generation of x gen, millennials and Gen Z of gyarus then who are we to judge them?

Although if you still wish to dress up like OG then I definitely recommend finding clothes that match the subculture that you want to follow for example I follow agejo, Tsuyome and kogal so I shop in Amazon, local stores, Instagram stores, I order clothes fr abroad the most helpful and fast way to do that finding a vendor and my vendors are all from Instagram. Nakamura Kazuha x Le Sserafim! 00' Liner! F reader: Your addition to Le Sserafim was unexpected and so sudden that even the other members weren't prepared. It took a while for you to feel comfortable, but Kazuha was able to help you open up.

In 2022, HYBE was preparing to debut its first girl group. This caused a massive uproar in the K-pop community as the company was already rising due to the many acquisitions. The former IZ*one members were signing, and now the bullying scandal.

As much as debuting under a massive company was terrific, it came with enormous backlash. The upper ends of HYBE entertainment were still trying to figure out what to do; they were getting publicity from the scandal, but the girl's images were also important.

The company's solution for this is adding a member a month before Le Sserafim's official debut. HYBE was aware these rumors would likely lead to the removal of the young girl, so they needed some backup. Even though HYBE and Somu had difficulty finding the perfect girl, HYBE reluctantly gave one of their top Japanese contenders to Source Music.

Nakashima Y/n, the Japanese-American trainee who had been in Big Hit trainee since September 2018. The agency took her in the right after her elimination from Produce 48 and made sure she became one of their best trainees.

With your experience in freestyle, underground dance competitions, and even personal vocal lessons since age 4, Bang PD didn't waste any time and contacted you. Once HYBE became a thing, the company needed help creating a team with a similar skill set to yours.

So to help cater to you, they moved you to HYBE Japan, and while mixing and matching girls, you were supposed to debut by the end of 2023. That unexpectedly changed when you were called back to Korea. You were clueless and weren't told why they wanted to speak to you at the main building, but without question, you went.

You were led through the large building and made your way to a meeting room. When opening the door, you were met with confused eyes. Everyone in the room wore masks, so you couldn't recognize anyone, well, everyone but one.

"Sakura-unnie?" Amongst the girls, her eyes were the most recognizable, making Sakura's head tilt in confusion.

"Please take a seat," The concept director gestures to the seat next to Sakura, who was a bit skeptical with you next to her, not recognizing anything about you.

"In recent events, everyone on the board has decided to add a new member last minute. Which is where she comes in," she points at you, and as confused as you were, you got the gist of everything and just accepted the new change that was about to occur. "Please introduce yourself to them."

"Ah, Hello," you bow, "My name is Nakashima Y/n; please take care of me." Some of the girl's eyes go wide, 

"Y/n-unnie?"

"Wha~ you recognized me with the mask on?" Sakura says, bringing you into a hug, "I'll always recognize Japan's most famous idol."

When you tease her, she playfully hits you, "Ah, Y/n, you remember Yunjin and Chaewon, right?"

"Of course, I'll always remember my produce girls," Yunjin and Chaewon laugh at the girl while giving a welcoming hug. "Y/n, these are the other girls on our team Hong Eunchae, Kim Garam, and Nakamura Kazuha."

Y/n greets the three, and when meeting Kazuha's gaze, you surprisedly say, "Another Japanese member? Cool." Kazuha was pleasantly shocked at the sudden Japanese, but it made her happy knowing there was another member that could make her feel more at home.

"Due to the changes, you guys will have to redo shoots, whether choreography parts in the music video, concept photos, or anything else. So prepare for the upcoming 3 weeks because everyone will be busy. We apologize for the inconvenience, girls; it must be done."

The next day, Y/n had to record her parts for multiple songs on the Fearless album, and nearing the end of the day, she had to do her concept photos and videos. At 5 am, she even had to go to the company to meet the choreographer and learn all the dances for only 4 hours.

You come back visibly tired. Your hair was disheveled, clothes were heavily wrinkled, and makeup was smudging off. You found Kazuha eating some yogurt while watching TV in the living room. "Um, unnie, there is food... in the fridge," Kazuha told her while switching from Korean to English as she struggled to find the words. "Hey, if you're having issues with Korean, you can talk to me in Japanese, and I can help you learn."

Kazuha's head snapped towards you and gave you a thankful smile, "Sure, do you want to join me, or are you too tired? I don't want to bother you."

"Sure, I'm not too tired. Let me just shower first," you tell her and head toward your room, showering, doing your face routine, and coming back to Kazuha looking refreshed.

You sit next to Kazuha with a bowl of salad and a simple turkey sandwich. "So, how was your day? I heard they make you learn Blue Flame and Fearless, then made you record for almost every song."

"Correction, it was all the songs AND photoshoots, but I managed," you joked with the girl, but she seemed a little worried. "Are you sure your okay, unnie? That's a lot?"

"I'll be okay, Zuha; I just need to get this over with so I can rest a little before the showcase," you reassured the younger. You two sat in silence for a bit, but then a thought came to mind, "Zuha, is it true you did ballet?"

"Oh, yeah, I did it for most of my life and went to ballet school in the Netherlands."

Your jaw dropped, "What made you switch professions then?"

Kazuha thought for a second, "a change of pace." You found the simple answer quite surprising, "and you've only trained for 3 months?" The ballerina nods, making your eyes go wide.

"Vocal training must be tiring for you. No?"

"Well..." Before the two girls knew it, they were talking for hours.

There was a week left before the debut showcase, and you found yourself becoming mentally exhausted slowly. On certain nights, you cried in silence, though not knowing why.

You were someone who trained in the industry for over 9 years, and now that the opportunity is knocking on your door, you decide to cry? After a sleepless night, you realize it was due to the staggering workload in a short period.

For you, joining this group was a blessing, but beginning to become a curse. You sat silently in the HYBE dance studio and just stared at the wall. The team was working on final practices before the big day. Even though you were extremely capable, the past few weeks were catching up to your body.

You were getting tired 10 times quicker than before, and your breathing was disturbingly intense, which caused the group to take multiple breaks so you won't pass out.

"Unnie, you need to stay home tomorrow," Kazuha tells her as she sits beside the worn-out girl. "I guess I do need a break," you smiled weakly, leaning your head on her shoulder. "I knew it was difficult, but it feels like... my body is slowly dying," you whisper in Japanese to Zuha.

The younger girl listens, resting her head on top of yours. Kazuha noticed how you ranted about your feelings, which helped you tremendously. "I mean, I've been doing this for years, Zuha, training for almost as long as Kura-unnie's idol career, yet once I'm here, I somehow get weaker."

"Unnie," the ballerina becomes stern due to her self-degrading words. "You aren't weak or getting weaker; you're just exhausted."

"I mean, who wouldn't be in your shoes," Zuha mumbles. She was correct; you were even doing it made Kazuha believe you were one of the strongest and most mentally driven people she knew.

It was a few hours after the comeback showcase, and it was clear that all of your hard work paid off. You felt the audience's love and were happy with the results you showed.

"Zuha, you did amazing out there today," you say as she comes into your room, cuddling into your warm body. The two of you began to become close together and felt safe as you guys were almost always together 95% of the time. "If I did good, you did insane, unnie. Can you teach me how to dance like that?" You laugh and tell her, 'Of course,' even though she was a fantastic dancer.

"I mean, I will, but you have cleaner angles than me when dancing, Zuha, so you have to teach me as well." You two pinky promised, and it warmed your heart.

"Zuha."

"Yes, unnie?"

"You ever think about falling in love with someone while being in an industry as strict as this one?" She tells you, "I mean, I do at times, but I don't usually overthink about it. Why?"

"I liked some people in the idol industry, and they all lead to the same things."

"And that is?"

"Heartbreak," you mumble, but she hears it. It made you think, should you even tell Zuha that she felt like home to you and that you loved her for it?

'That is probably the worst idea you ever came up with, Y/n,' you told yourself.

The promotions were going reasonably well until there was a stage with major sound issues, causing the stage to have almost little to no backing track. Some members did okay, including yourself, but the girls with weaker areas in vocals and less training were freaking out in the waiting room.

"Guys, no need to worry too much; it was our first live vocal performance." Yunjin tried to reassure them, but Eunchae, who was in tears, explained, "No matter the first, second, third, one-hundredth stage and no matter if they take our training periods into consideration, they will still hate it."

Sakura sat in the corner of the room. She's had her fair share of those comments in IZ*one, so she knew the maknae was correct. "Just because you weren't stable while dancing doesn't mean we can't sing. It means we must work harder to do better," you tell the girls.

"People progress at different paces; you can't beat yourselves up for it," as you kept talking, Zuha cuddled her sad self next to you, and you tried to rub her arm in the hug, doing your best to comfort the girl. "And you did well for someone who has only trained for 3 months. You should be proud of what you've accomplished today, Zuha."

You mumbled, and it caused the ballerina to hug you tighter than before, tears welling up in her eyes, "Thanks, unnie."

The group was leaving and going home, and during the car ride, Zuha asked her unnie, "Can I sleep over tonight?" You nodded, as the two of you often did this.

At the dorms, you, Sakura, and Kazuha disperse to your rooms feeling mentally drained.

Once Zuha changed, you two decided to sleep and rest rather than begin overthinking. As you feel that Zuha is asleep. You turn over to face her. "You did amazing, ZuhaI. I hope you know that. I'll always love and protect you no matter what happens," you whisper to yourself as you fall into a deep sleep.

But you didn't know that Kazuha was completely awake and smiled, facing her body towards you as well, "I love you too, unnie," leaving a slight peck on her cheek as she cuddled your body, drifting off to sleep.

cheri was initially a member of a group called GPOP alongside gfriend’s sinb and eunha. after the failure of the company’s girl groups, cheri was handpicked by RM to be a member of BTS. everyone has always had doubts about having a girl in the group, and this has caused many issues for cheri personally and as an artist. 

she was homeschooled until she moved to korea. she attended hanlim arts school in the applied music department and graduated in 2015. in 2016, she began online courses at USC and graduated in 2020 with a BA in music. she would like to work for a master’s degree. 

her younger sister had epilepsy and passed away in her sleep after a seizure. charlotte’s death was incredibly difficult for cheri to get over and she considered giving up training and moving back to california. she was talked out of quitting, and decided her stage name would be ‘cheri’ because that was charlotte’s nickname for her. 

cheri opened a youtube channel in late 2019 and was incredibly active in 2020 posting vlogs, covers, and unreleased songs. people started being weird online and she has posted rarely since then. 

she did not renew her contract with big hit in 2018: she was on hiatus and was unsure if she’d go back to idol life after the year she’d had. she stuck with it until 2020, and after negotiating for months, she did not renew. she officially left big hit in january of 2021 and signed with CHROMATIC CREATIVE. although she remains a member of BTS, cheri has not been active with the group since 2020. 

since her private instagram account was leaked, cheri has spoken about her privacy and has made it very clear that she’s not afraid to take legal action. she loves her fans, but at the end of the day she just wants to make music and wants to keep what little privacy she has private.

in 2019, big hit music and pledis entertainment confirmed cheri and seventeen’s joshua were in a relationship after speculation of cheri being in a relationship with exo’s baekhyun. in 2024, cheri seemingly confirmed her engagement to joshua on instagram.

♡ Kirara has one of the best voices, and is very expressive. Gesturing and dancing to the rhythm of the music. ♥ Hakari isn't exactly the type who likes these types of games, but Kirara always convinces him to sing a duet. ♡ Yuta tries to sing a song at least on karaoke nights, but he stutters the lyrics and gets the timing wrong several times. ♥ Toge, for obvious reasons, cannot sing at karaoke nights, but he is happy to bang his instruments as loud as possible to disturb his friends. Except when it's Yuta who's singing. Then he acts like a supportive friend/boyfriend and plays the instruments calmly as a sign of support. ♡ Maki doesn't like singing, even though she has a good voice. She will at least sing a rock'n roll song and a duet with Nobara. ♥ Yuji always chooses some American pop music, the kind that appears on Instagram or Tik tok. The problem is that he rarely looks for a translation of the lyrics and (to Megumi's embarrassment and Nobara's amusement) he ends up singing something like "Mary on a Cross" or equally with a double meaning. ♡ Nobara always sings some girl power song. She feels powerful singing this. ♥ + She sang I Kissed a Girl once and didn't stop looking at Maki for a minute. Toge smiled evilly at her for two weeks. ♡ It's very rare for Megumi to sing karaoke (in fact, he'd rather die than do that), but whenever he does, he chooses something basic and well-known. ♥ + Once Yuji dragged him to a duet of Rewrite the Stars and Megumi almost died of embarrassment. Neither of them knew the words exactly, but they both had fun. Of course, until Gojo shows that he recorded everything and Megumi tries to beat him up.

Her score is never high. ♡ Kokichi sings like a robot. No jokes. The guy has no emotions. ♥ Noritoshi doesn't know how to sing and prefers not to try, although he shows support for his colleagues with the instruments (which he also doesn't know how to play) ♡ Momo sings American classics that no one knows, but Mai and Miwa still congratulate her. ♥ Mai has similar taste to Nobara, only she is less blatantly gay.

♡ At karaoke nights, Nanako is the only one who actually sings, all the songs she knows or tries to sing the ones she doesn't know. ♥ Mimiko doesn't like karaoke nights and always falls asleep on Suguru's shoulder. ♡ Ino sings anime songs and tells his juniors that singing is not a talent, but rather practice and study (he has one of the worst scores). ♥ Hana likes romantic and slow songs, but she always blushes when she sings them. ♡ Tsumiki likes Disney classics, so it's obvious that she's going to sing a song like that on the night. Sometimes she pulls Megumi to be her partner, other times Gojo accompanies her. ♥ Tsukumo sings the hardest and hardest rock songs to sing. His score is very good. ♡ Junpei is the same as Yuta, except that he makes a point of always choosing the soundtrack for a movie. Yuji and Nobara sometimes sing as a trio, with Megumi playing the instruments in the background. ♥ Choso doesn't sing nor does he know the songs being played, but he applauds to the rhythm of the music and always shows his support for Yuji and Tsukumo.

The company was more interested in his ability to dance, however, and was accepted as a trainee. He trained for a year before debuting as Zombie Pop's maknae.

ENGIRLS, also known as ENHYPEN GIRLS (엔하이픈 소녀들), is a fictional sub-unit of the ten-member co-ed group, ENHYPEN, which was formed through the survival show, I-LAND. The unit consists of the three female members of the group: Aiko, Blake, and Ruruka. They debuted on November 30th, 2020, with the song, 'Really Bad Boy,' as a part of ENHYPEN's debut EP, 'BORDER: DAY ONE.'

Despite their victory on I-LAND, ENGIRLS had a challenging debut because they were the only three girls out of the twenty-four female contestants to make it to the debuting team. Many fans, international and domestic, accused MNET of voting manipulation or stated that they should have debuted an all-boy group by choosing three other male contestants to take their place. This only increased when their debut EP was released, and they were introduced as a sub-unit, with both the girls and the boys having their own unit songs.

Regardless, ENHYPEN went on to have a successful debut and remain one of the top artists of their generation.

Kobayashi Aiko was born on January 17, 2002, in New York City, New York, to a businessman father and a stay-at-home mother. She is the second eldest of four children and the only one of her siblings pursing a music career. From a young age, she has loved music and can play different instruments, including the piano, violin, guitar, and drums.

Later, when she was five, Aiko and her family moved to Osaka, Japan, due to her father’s job relocation. While in Osaka, Aiko continued to pursue music, picking up vocal lessons and later being scouted by SM Entertainment in 2014. Despite her parent’s disapproval, she went on to train under SM for four years, becoming an SMROOKIE and later participating in the survival show Produce 48. She was eliminated in episode 5 of the show and continued to train at SM until leaving at the end of 2018 to join BigHit Music.

Blake Akiyama was born on December 18, 2002, in Houston, Texas, to a surgeon father and model mother. She is an only child because her mother had complications after Blake was born, which led to her being doted on by her family as the only female granddaughter. Despite this, Blake is a very humble girl because her grandmother, her father’s mother, taught her the importance of hard work and appreciation for those around her.

Blake has taken dance classes since she was four and excels in many different genres. She has a deep passion for dancing and has won many awards for local competitions. Her dance teacher at the time had nothing but praise for her and has stated that Blake is one of the best pupils she’s had the honor to teach.

Blake’s parents later divorced when she was eight, and her father received full custody of her because her mother wished to pursue her modeling career. Since then, her mother has been in and out of her life. At fourteen, Blake was scouted as a model and took on some gigs despite her father not wanting her to. Nishimura Ruruka was born on December 9, 2005, in Okayama, Japan. She is the twin sister of Nishimura Riki, also known as Ni-ki, and has two other sisters. Like her family, Ruruka has a passion for dancing and has been dancing alongside her siblings for as long as she can remember. 

Ruruka has taken gymnastics classes since she was four, alongside dance classes, and originally wanted to pursue an athletic career. Sena Moon was born in North Bend, South Carolina on August 2, 1999 to office worker parents. She has an older brother, but not much is known about him. From a young age, Sena had always been in love with music and would always sing, dance, and even do small performances in her bedroom. She had taken a liking to artist like Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and Girls Generation especially as her reason for wanting to be a performer. However, her parents were very against her being a singer as they didn't see it as a "real career" as they would tell her.

In 2012, Sena would get the chance to go to South Korea for the summer to stay with her aunt who was a musical actress. Sena would go with her aunt to her practices and performances and would fall even deeper in love with music. By the end of summer, Sena would beg her aunt to let her stay with her and go to school in Korea. Sena's aunt would actual gain custody of Sena during this time which allowed her to stay with her aunt in Korea. Sena would struggle with adapting to living in a new country and culture for the first few months, before she was able to begin to fit in. Through her middle school years, Sena would begin to perform at school festivals and talent shows whether by herself or with other girls and this quickly helped become scouted by different companies.

In 2013, Sena would be scouted by Sour Grapes Media and would become a trainee with her aunt's approval. During this time at Sour Grapes, Sena would seen as one of their most popular trainees mainly due to her singing and dancing. This would eventually help Sena make the lineup of the company's newest girl group Cupid's Rejects, and would debut as their Main Vocalist and Face of the Group in 2014. Sena would remain with the group until 2016 when she was removed from the group due to having used "violent language and misuse of power towards staff." this statement would eventually be proven false by her group members and staff that have worked with Sena. This would lead into a legal battle with Sena and her aunt suing the company and winning.

After this scandal, Sena would become an independent idol for several months, appearing on several popular variety shows and even releasing a few solo projects. This would last until she is approached by someone from KQ Entertainment who wanted to recruit her to their company. Sena would agree and become a trainee under the company around mid-2016. Sena would become a trainee again and rumors would spread about her debuting a soloist. Nothing officially ever came from these rumors. KQ would later announced in 2017 that Sena along with her fellow trainees would all be auditioning for MixNine and while she passed the audition she would end up ranking 14th.

After this in 2018, Sena would announced to joining the company's trainee project KQ Fellaz. Sena would finish her training and in October of 2018, she would debut in the idol group ATEEZ as a Vocalist and Performer of the group.

ELIZABETH HWANG was born in Berkeley, California; her father is a music producer working in the United States and her mother is an artist. Elizabeth grew up alternating between dreaming of following in either parent's dream, and at fourteen years old was the only trainee to make it through OHJANG ENTERTAINMENT's LA auditions, whisking her away from her life to Seoul, where she'd train for two years.

Under the stage name LIZZY, Elizabeth first made her debut in 2018, when she was added to the lineup of established girl-group BOUQUET, in which her representative flower was daisies. Although the group enjoyed a middling level of success, Elizabeth's status as a new addition earned her scorn amongst fans, who much preferred the member she replaced. As a result, Elizabeth was subject to hate and scrutiny for the three years she was active as a member of BOUQUET, particularly in thanks to her inexpressive nature; her flat speaking tone and blank resting expression all too easy to project sarcasm or disdain upon.

1890s America and Red Dead Redemption

Part One: Violent Delights and Violent Ends

The latter half of the 1800s was a time characterized by struggle. Off the back of the Civil War, a country divided in not two but four by the rising industry to the east and the stubborn pastoralism of the west. The southern portion of the country beaten down, burned and disgraced, and the northern portion rolling in gold and prosperity. Whether they knew it or not, the common American had their life ultimately shaped by these divisions.

As the opening lines of Red Dead Redemption 2 state: "The age of outlaws and gunslingers was at its end" (Rockstar, 2018). Yet contrary to the following text, America was far from becoming a "land of laws". Laws for the poor, perhaps, but the wealthy still thrived and skirted just beyond the boundaries of human decency.

From the 1870s to the 1920s, miners and railroad workers unionized and carried out often violent protests in the hopes of gaining better working conditions. The poor had little but their fists, and they had no qualms about using them. It is in this turmoil we find Dutch Van Der Linde with his Robin Hood-esque visions of a crumbling elite and prospering poor. The struggle between workers and their iron-fisted overseers was bloody, and Dutch would not have it any other way. Those he took under his wing were the beaten down lowest tiers of society. How could they not see him as a shining idol of American idealism? What he wants, what he fights for, it is for them. Outcasts with nowhere else to turn, given a cause and a home and something that perhaps felt real to them for the first time in a long time.

Race is a topic not wholly explored, but touched on certainly within the game. Tensions rose as racial divisions were made even clearer, black Americans fighting for their own foothold in a world that has just opened up to them and their children. Lenny Summers is the first in generations to be born free of slavery. Javier comes from a country that has been terrorized by colonialism and corruption, yet he still dreams of returning. 1890s Mexico (and what we see in RDR1) is a topic of its own, though the spirit of people downtrodden by colonialism is echoed throughout both games. Sean, who was chased from the country his father fought for. Whose father was killed in his own bed, likely in the same room as his son. Violence in this world is inescapable, a swirling vortex that consumes everything in its path.

Dutch embraced this, as many leaders of the past and future have. If you cannot fight with peace, then sticks and stones make for much better conversation. I can't say I disagree with him, in all honesty, and that is what makes him so fascinating. He's right. He has a point, a cause. What went so wrong? Do heroes not get a happy ending?

In 1892, railroad employees of Carnegie Steel in Pennsylvania's Homestead plant went on strike when chairman Henry Frick cut their pay dramatically. 300 agents of the Pinkerton detective agency arrived, escalating tensions. Violence erupted, the Pennsylvania national guard was called. Sixteen men were killed.

Leviticus Cornwall is Andrew Carnegie, Andrew Carnegie is Leviticus Cornwall. The Pinkertons are rightful villains in our narrative, the gang is a thorn in their side which must be cut free. Law and order, right? Dutch was right, his killing of Cornwall was arguably deserved. Yet what makes it so wrong?

Dutch's actions are selfish, in the end. Not because he doesn't care for the people around him, as I believe he truly does. He sees things getting worse and worse and only digs in his heels. Dutch is the American Dream. The bloody messiah to the poor and disadvantaged. He guts them the same as any railroad magnate. Power corrupts, this is what we learn. Power and vitriol and paranoia. The people left struggling in his wake are the common folk who get caught in the crossfire, used and abused only to prove a point. They know nothing but violence, and who is to tell them otherwise? Even Arthur in his end of life maturation cannot pry himself free. He kills and kills and in the end he dies for it. Even John, who tried to leave it behind. Even Sadie, who was ruined by it, embraced it in the end.

The American dream is indecipherable from the American nightmare. They are lovers and companions. There is nothing to do but fight, and even then you have no hope of winning. It's a beautiful tragedy, is it not? All these people who never had a chance, yet who tried anyway. Workers who gained little and lost everything still took their signs and marched for what was right. Black Americans who were beaten down again and again still got up each and every day and did whatever it was they had to do. Native Americans, who were nearly erased. Who still cling to their heritage and claw back what has been stolen. Red Dead Redemption is about the small people. The forgotten in the annals of American history.

Sato Yuuri was born on September 28, 2002 in Takamatsu, Japan to criminals Sato Michiya and Hiroka. She was fostered and later adopted by an American couple, Daisy and Logan Hughes and is one of six children. As she came from a family full of (albeit unknown) musicians, she showed interest in singing as early as five. She remained connected to her roots as she listened to J-pop and later K-pop as well.

After a video of her singing while playing Just Dance 2016 went viral, a Delphi Entertainment staff member saw and scouted her. She came to South Korea to audition properly, as well as auditioning at other companies in person and auditioning online at companies in Japan. She got accepted into multiple companies, and was going to choose Avex but was too nervous to go through with it. She ultimately chose Delphi Entertainment in the end.

In 2017, she was announced as a trainee in Delphi Entertainment’s pre-debut girl group project; GIRLISH, with nine other girls. She was well received by the public and was the third member to be revealed for GIRL TALK. She debuted in 2018 in the girl group GIRL TALK as their maknae, lead vocalist, and lead dancer.

LUCIA MICELI better known by her stage name "LULU" is a Scilian-American K-pop idol and producer based in South Korea. She made her initial debut in the rotational girl group ALLUME in 2015 as the group's main vocalist until the lineup's graduation in 2020.

Lulu would make her solo debut in 2021 with the chart-smashing hit POP! becoming an instant hit amongst the general public and international audiences alike. Despite this instant success, Lulu's solo career would be very slow-moving with only one album to her name and two mini albums. during a fan sign, a fancam of lulu talking to a male fan would go viral for how stoic she looked while dawning white fluffy cat ears and a bubble gun in one hand while the allume song "heart attack" blared in the background. it's still used as a reaction video to this day.

lulu and minji clapping almost robotically in sync while the remixed version of red flavor at the 2017 mama awards. though they were clapping along, the girls looked visibly unhappy with the remix, disgusted even, before lulu just slowly stopped clapping and put her hands in her lap. this is also still a popular reaction video in the fandom.
