rewatching the 11th doctor and gaining a lot more respect for my childhood hero. as a little kid I would daydream about going off on adventures with him, out in space, with the ponds, and I think that speaks thousands of words about the kind of hero he was. the kind of hero that kids dream of leaving home for. sometimes I still hope that a blue box will appear in my living room and take me off on adventures

Amelia vibing in her dorm, wearing a Maleficent spa headband, an Alice in Wonderland shirt, and a pair of Disney Villains shorts while doing her skincare and having one of the VHS Disney movies playing in the background because she found an old TV and somehow managed to get her hands on some tapes of the original Disney movies-

And then the Adeuce duo walks in with Riddle, who’s only there to make sure that Amelia knows that they broke three of Ramshackle’s windows, and all of them freeze at what she’s wearing. She’s literally wearing clothing depicting the Great Seven and watching Hercules on that shitty TV she found. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE!?!!?!!?

But Amelia couldn’t find a fuck to give because she was tired and deserved some self care. She just whacked Ace and Deuce with a rolled up magazine Vil gave her, sent them away to fix the windows they broke, and asked Riddle if he wanted in on the spa night she was having since babie boy needs to learn how to chill the fuck out for his own health-

Riddle is still frozen in shock though…

I feel like I could take Sam's s8 domestic life more seriously if Sam and Amelia had any sort of chemistry together but instead every scene with them is so cringey and hard to watch. Which is weird!!! Considering how well Sam's dynamic with all his other love interests have been (Jess, Sarah, Madison, Ruby, Eileen, and Rowena). They're all incredibly different and interesting people and Amelia was like wet cardboard in comparison

i don’t know what it is about Twisters but the little clichés and classic movie tropes they added were done perfectly. each one felt like the first time i’d ever seen it. she calls something gorgeous and he looks at her with love in his eyes, thinking how gorgeous she is???! incredible!! he runs through an airport to get to her before she leaves for good?? i’ve never seen anything like it!!

Fun amy pond fact: the short story "The Girl Who Tore Through The Universe" establishes that amy pond has the knowledge and ability to quite literally tear open portals to other dimensions and cross over at will. She just. Knows how to do this as of age 16. Rory knows she can do this. There's rules for universe stability, but she can just! Do that!
