viper is not the one to show her emotions but breach has a quick way of reading ppl (criminal surviving skills, slay) so he just talks and talks abt stuff until her mood changes and it either pisses her off n makes her forget the problem in the first place, or just confuses her too much she just calms down while trying to understand the fuck he's talking about ijbol

Are you reading the Blue Period manga? What are your thoughts about the last couple of arcs?

Apologies for the late answer, as I didn't see this message until just now. I am a fan of the Blue Period Manga, though I was behind until I saw this message and decided to catch up (to chapter 57).

Blue Period's messages are always kind of heavy and cerebral, and these last couple of arcs are no exception. In the No Marks arc Yatora waffling between the commune-style of art and the art-school style of art was interesting and perfectly illustrates different ways of viewing art and the cultures that surround it. Obviously there's more cultures than the two that were present during that arc, but Yatora has been making his way through various types of art communities through the manga and it gives us a lot of different perspectives in which to view both art and hard work.

I thought it was very interesting and fitting that Fuji made Yatora feel like he was an observed bug, and ultimately his final art piece was an installation that focused on eyes and how people perceive him. As I type this, it makes me realize that kind of subject matter is one that would always have resonated with Yatora, as he has been concerned about how other people perceive him from the beginning of the series. It's a piece that speaks to his core, and makes sense for his theme about guilt. (Also it was great to see Maki again!)

As for the road trip arc, it seems like it's the start of another interesting conversation: the relationship between art when an artist is alive and after an artist has passed. It's nice that we get to have this heavy conversations in the moments of levity for the main characters. I don't have many thoughts on this arc so far, because it has only really just begun.

I finally got to read the extra fashion chapter with Yuka, and boy I'm glad it was finally translated! It definitely watered my crops seeing Yuka again, and Yuka and Yatora hanging out like actual friends going out to see things together. It makes me feel a little less like Yuka just disappeared from the narrative.

in case anyone’s interested in a lil me update: my latest ct scan is all good, no major changes. the biggest nodule is 1.3 cm but my oncologist said it isn't necessarily cancer, could be scar tissue, bc it's exactly the same size as it was on my last scan. my tumor marker is going up again so she ordered a special blood test where it tests the literal cancer cell for something (idk what exactly i can’t remember what it is called 😭) and that should let us know if we're missing something or if the tumor marker is up for some other reason (tumor marker tests a specific protein that CAN indicate cancer but can also indicate other things like any type of infection or inflammation or whatever). i also told her i've been more nauseous lately and she said the only thing to do is lower my chemo dosage and i said no i can live with it soooo here's to being nauseous forever 🫠. she did however sign my letter to keep me from having to pay my student debt off so woohooo for that! $28k and they aren’t getting a single cent of it!!!!

what's wolf quest?

Okokokokokok, so it’s a game my sister and I have been playing since we were kids! They upload frequent devlogs to YouTube, and you can see their development history here!

Also, I was talking abt it in the tags of another post, they try to keep this game as optimized as they can for low-end pcs. They keep the poly count low on the maps to keep performance maintained, and I’ve seen them mention it on hellroaring mountain devlogs. I’ve also played in servers with people with laptops that aren’t super expensive, and they ran it fine other than the occasional jitters (and I think running a server is a little more intensive, but it was honestly fine, though they did transfer the server to me and someone else to let their laptop cool off a bit :]).

But it’s basically an accurate-as-they-can wolf game (while still making it fun)! It starts as a lone wolf, you find a mate, start a litter! You can also play multiplayer with I believe up to 8 people? They have their own servers and the servers are well maintained!

The devs also rebuilt the game literally from scratch since the game launched when I was a kid (I’m in my 20s for reference) and they’re building on this new game to eventually update it so your pups grow with you, and year after year, your pack updates! So you can raise the next litter, some wolves will stay, some will go off to make families of their own, etc. in its current state, you can raise a litter and then skip a year and raise another, and it’s still super fun!

It’s one of those games I buy for people and buy DLC for solely to support the devs. The DLC isn’t necessary either, it’s a couple optional maps and a few more wolf customization options. I’ve literally said even if X new map sucks I’ll still buy it LOL. (It never sucks though!!)

But the main guy seems really genuine. He visits yellowstone with his family frequently, and really tries to keep it as accurate as he can without straying too far, but still making it a fun game. And, honestly, I think it is!

Anniversary addition is the new version, and whatever classic version they have is the one I played as a kid. New one rules. Old one is still great though :]
