So beautiful it appears unreal, but this is what Chae Son National Park in Lampang actually looks like in optimum lights. The main basin makes up small pools of 73 degrees Celsius and higher. These are perfect for poaching eggs - which after 15 minutes will be cooked with the yolk in a perfect consistency. Delicious beyond all words. In the area are bathing houses and camping grounds. Fresh eggs are available for sale on site.

Outlandish and pink, and wrapped around with a gigantic dragon for good measure is the iconic building of Wat Sampran in Nakhon Pathom. Constituting a great shot as seen here by @kanghwasong, this bizarre building has always been a magnet for those wishing to change sceneries from the usual golden-and-gilded temples that riddle across town.

Respect is the name of the game. When you are in the animal kingdom of Phu Khiao Wildlife Sanctuary in Chaiyaphum, remember to be extra careful and respectful to all the living creatures and the wild.

Exotic name aside, Mount Mokochu in Kamphaeng Phet is one of the highest summits of the Thai West. Elevation here is 1,950 metres, with its tops perennially covered with mists and clouds. Perfect for day-dreaming any day. Mokochu is a Karen word, suitably meaning ‘rainy spot.’ Needless to say, the weathers are cool to chill all year round, and the area is great for natural exploration.

Inland and high up, Doi Ta Pang viewpoint is in Sawi District, about two hours drive further south of Chumphon province. A challenge, or some might say an attraction, suiting those with particular preferences for ruggedness, this hilltop viewpoint is perched high and accessible through a single, narrow dirt path. But then, this is where the pureness permeates. The thicket of the surroundings provides year-round misty vibes at dawn.

The steep - almost absolute vertical - drop at Haew Narok Waterfalls in Khao Yai National Park in Nakhon Nayok is roaring. The park’s and central Thailand’s largest waterfalls, this is a stunning multi-tiered cascade that requires a serious uptrek. A guided walk is highly recommended. Also, always check the weathers prior to your visit.
