Champions (2016) is actually a really sweet series being a team-up of most of the popular solo teen heroes of the 2010s, and it really delves into the friendships between them. All of the dynamics are so fun. Okay no one is paying attention anymore, it's time to talk about Cyclops getting a support system! That was so cute. (Scott and Amadeus dynamic is best dynamic).

The thing about Scott and the champions is that they have Scott the chance to really be a kid for the first time in his life. He didn’t have to be a leader, that is Kamala’s job. He was working problems with the team instead of feeling like the burden lay larger on himself than anyone else. We got to see him be vulnerable in a different way than we usually see him, especially with Kamala, and that is why I loved the champions for him and why their relationships mean so much to me.

One of the funniest parts of Champions to me is seeing the various ways that the other team members carry Scott when they need to make a quick get-away. It's adorable.

I cannot stop listening to The Neighbourhood song. This song reminds me of my beloved Champions. 😭
