Pink is NOT a good character, and I'm tired of saying she is: An Essay

Pink is a character in the Dick Figures series.

But the thing is, she doesn't feel like her own person without Blue. Almost all her lines always root back to him specifically in some way, and that doesn't allow for her to grow as a character, which, inevitably, she never does. Many people say they like Pink because of her dynamic/relationship with Blue, but I'm gonna say about her as an individual person.

Pink is often described as "the only normal stick figure" in the Dick Figures series, and also a "self-confident girl" when she is far from that. Whenever she hates on Red, it just feels like she's trying so hard to be a wannabe Wendy Testaburger 😂 I think Amiugly is the most normal stick figure in the series, she seems really nice ^^

Pink's "affection" towards Blue however comes off as fake, pick-me, scripted and unnatural, like something out of one of the movies she's watched. It feels so fake as hell, and everytime I see that, I just wanna punch a brick wall, and that's what makes her all the more unlikeable and corny. Name me one thing there is to like about HER as a character and I'll buy you a whole candy store.

I'm gonna be real here. She has never done SHIT for her and Blue's relationship to progress further, all she does is whine about him, never ACTUALLY doing something about it, and never doing the SLIGHTEST thing for him, when he literally ALMOST DROWNED, HAD TO RUN AWAY FROM POLICE, ALMOST DIED AND WAS ON THE BRINK OF DEATH, SEVERAL TIMES JUST TO GET A GIFT FOR HER and he NEVER HAD TO DO ANY OF THIS, and she only cared about the fucking GIFT, that just makes me all the more pissed off. We never got to see in the series OR the movie, Pink's side of the story (relationship). Her crying because Blue isn't at her party doesn't say SHIT. Pink only cared if Blue was there, and never once took into consideration, even when Ocho Muerte showed up, that Blue was risking his life for her.

The fact that when Blue was about to fall into the mouth of Ocho Muerte and Pink was STANDING THERE, DOING NOTHING, WHILE RED WAS THE ONE RUNNING TO SAVE HIM, and yet Blue still went to hug PINK is just so fucking jarring.

I personally think that it's kinda Blue's fault as well, because he's so blinded by his love for her. (mainly the image of her he percieves in his head)

She's always attached to Blue's hip and yeah, it can be done right and in a different way which can also ALLOW Pink to be her own person, like a separate entity.

Character arc? NONE. She never develops as a character throughout the series. At least Stacy has an arc and a bit of a backstory, and she feels like her own person while still being Red's girlfriend, but Pink? She's just jarring. Pink is such a selfish, uptight, 1-dimensional bitch, a pick me and is NOT a good girlfriend, she's my least favourite female character in the series.

like at some point it does become genuinely sad that young boys who arent conventionally attractive find reddit pipeline from /amiugly to /redpill because they dont know what else to do and like to be told what to believe. like why are you letting other men tell you women think you're ugly. the ideology men co-opted doesnt even make sense. and in a way it's a self-fulfilling prophecy of thinking you're not good enough to talk to girls or women which leads you to not being able to talk to women normally or being able to talk to women without misogynistic preconceptions in your mind which are the real reason women dont feel safe around you or you dont feel fulfilled because you are using them as a means to an end. it's a skeleton of a relationship with no flesh

Blue & Lord Tourettes - 9.5/10 2nd favs I love em sm (but Blue pissed me off in the movie)
