When you realize that with Pure Vanilla using his staff to see things; it gives him a small advantage of seeing things that are higher up and even see above the walls. As well as being able to see behind him if he turns his staff around.
Only issue is that he needs to remember the position of his staff as well making sure he can easily reach his staff due to his really poor eyesight AND making sure he doesn't get distorted.
