a service dog is not made up by its gear, and is not legally required to wear a vest

a service dog is not defined by its breed, size, or appearance

emotional support is not a recognized service dog task

service dogs can help with a range of disabilities, both invisible and visible. A service dog handler does not owe anyone an explanation on their body.

service dogs assist both young people and older people.

taking pictures of a service dog without permission is rude

letting young children run up to service dogs without permission is both dangerous and rude

employees are allowed to ask a service dog handler two questions; “is that a service dog?” and “what tasks is it trained to preform?”.

service dogs are not robots and do make mistakes. However, a real service dog will be quickly brought back under control!

labeling a pet “service dog”, and bringing it into a non pet friendly establishment is not only rude, gross, and stressful for your dog, but it can destroy a disabled persons entire life.
