✨Mama Nick Valentine✨
WELP- as it turns out, the random orphaned kitten girl that Nick brought home decided to imprint on the old detective like a baby chick and now he’s stuck with her for the rest of his life.
But Jasmine/Rosalinda only has her prewar adoptive mother as a reference to parental love, so Nick ends up reminding Jazzy purely of her dear sweet madrecita, and she voices that fact quite often.
So I have gathered some of the “Mama Nick Valentine” moments from my main fic that’s about how Nick actually came to stumble on Jas, and I’ve laid them out here for y’all to see.

He can’t correct the kid at this point in time, she’s severely injured and delusional, and Ellie is already laughing at the idea of Jasmine toddling around referring to Nick as her Mother.
But also Ellie is very worried about her boss bitting off more than he can chew by taking in this unknown and shattered child.

This is not the first time Nick has brought home a stray inside to shelter them from the rain, but Ellie can tell that Jasmine is a special case.
Ellie also thinks that Nick should wield the power his new title of Mama gives him, but Nick is having doubts about having any sort of maternal magic.
One day he’ll come to accept the terms of the new role he was given. For now he’s just the unsure (and a bit scared) guardian of Jasmine. Unfortunately, the orphaned kitten came plagued with chronic nightmares and the only thing that calms her down is the reluctant Mama Nick.

Just wait until the others hear about “Mama Nick Valentine”, Nick will never hear the end of it. Ellie already has her own plans to tease him at the office.
Also, Jasmine panics every time Nick leaves her, because she fears she’ll loose the one pillar of safety that she has in this life. Valentine is just too warmhearted and gentle for her to let go. 🥺🥺🥺🥺 But unfortunately, he’s a detective with a busy schedule.

His (metaphorical) gut is always right on these types of things. Because not too long after this scene, Ellie has to come running to find him because Jasmine had a terrible panic attack. Nick does NOT have much confidence in himself as a newfound parent, but that’s why he has an Ellie to encourage him.

I bet Nick has been told a million times over that he reminds folks of their dad/grandpa. Even Ellie tells him so.
And now he gets the most sweetest reward for helping this kid. He’s stuck under his new daughter’s spell of cuteness.

The protective part that awakened in Nick is his Papa Bear instincts, something he is gonna need for the long road ahead.
There’s gonna REALLY long road ahead of them both, I have a lot planned for their story.
But just look at how sweet and cuddly the father and daughter duo are right now!!! So precious, they ought to just be sat down by the fireplace where it’s warm and cozy and be left alone for all eternity so nothing bad can ever get to them again.
#I love Ellie’s and Nick’s dynamic and banter here. The author did a good job on that. I should thank her for it.#Oh wait- I am the author.#I forgot honestly lmao. Sometimes I read some of my old writings and I astonish myself with how good it is.#Or I make myself vomit with how bad it is.#It’s like a 50/50 I’ll do either one.#I don’t make the rules I just live by them.#Also somebody plz help Nick. He’s a first time father and his daughter is tremendously traumatized and he doesn’t know what to do.#He’s trying us best though. Give him a round of applause.#Actually Jas isn’t even technically his daughter yet. She’s just some girl he brought back because she is injured.#But everything is already falling into place and anyone with half a brain can see that this girl will be Nick’s new kid.#Rosie is baby. And she’s Nick’s baby to be more specific.#Although everyone else might fight over her. She’s just too cute.#fallout 4#fallout#fo4#nick valentine#fallout original character#fallout oc#fallout 4 original character#fo4 oc#ellie perkins
