Oceanfalls and Antino go extremely hard, I'm impressed with your work on it.

What would you do if you met characters like everybody in Oceanfalls, (Counting multiple iterations of Nino's behavior as separate or the same depending on what you want). People extremely similar to them, but not actually them in real life, but similar to the point of you questioning everything's sense of humor.

Uhmm, I guess it could be fun to befriend such people? Some of the Oceanfalls characters have personalities I would get along with really well IRL. For example I would probably go out of my way to get to know someone like Aria or Reed better, despite normally being a pretty reserved person myself.

please take your time answering this! but i was curious, do you have any personal voice ideas / headcanons for any of the oceanfalls characters???

Thanks for the question! Yes, I do have different internal voices for the characters, especially when I'm coming up with dialog and reviewing how the lines are delivered (in writing).

In my head, I think most of them sound just as you'd expect, honestly. There are a few distinctive points for each, so I separated the characters by gender and wrote some down. Heads up, I probably don't know how to describe voices well... so sorry in advance!

I imagine Ruit has the deepest voice out of the guys, it'd go very well with his vocabulary and status.

Solis & Reed's are probably pretty low too, but not as much as Ruit's. Reed definitely sounds the least energetic out of everyone, which I think makes his insults 10 times funnier. Also, it'd be fitting if Solis' normally serious-sounding voice cracked out whenever he's exceptionally annoyed/flustered by Suvillan & co.'s antics. He's too honest that even his voice gives him away...

Kaji's voice would sound rather high-pitched, but it deepens just enough for a noticeable difference whenever he drops the accent. He probably has a good vocal range, second to none other than Selene, who's at the top for obvious sing-y actor-y reasons.

Nino probably sounds the youngest & most energetic out of the guys (and he is the youngest, actually).

Compared to the rest, I think Suvillan's regular voice would lie somewhere in between Solis' and Kaji's. His tone is normally rather pleasant, but it makes a terrifying switch to a low extreme whenever he goes spooky mode. Intimidating.

Meimona's the loudest girl, probably has a pretty high pitched voice, and speaks with a slight British accent. Don't ask why lol, it just fits her in my head I swear... also, she feels like she’d have the most infectious laughs ever.

I imagine Lune sounds a bit deep, coupled with a pretty monotone & deadpan delivery in whatever she says, but it is not intentionally so. It probably makes it hard to tell what she's really feeling, doubles the punch of her snarky sarcastic jabs, but it also means it's immediately noticeable when she really is shaken up by something to the point of it affecting her voice. Probably takes quite a lot for that to happen.

Aria's voice would be super soft and soothing, literally made for reading bed-time stories. It's gotta be very surprising to hear someone with that kind of voice get angry and shout! It's also the kind of voice whose owner probably struggles with not always being taken seriously, just because of how they sound.

For some reason, I feel like Kotori's would be a bit squeaky/nasally, and not very low at all. Kotori feels like she'd try to sound serious at all times, despite how young her voice sounds. It's something close to Meimona's, but without the positive energy to go with it. She simply always sounds a little ball of concentrated anger.

Finally, I feel Selene and Corona's voice sound the most mature in the girls, although in different ways. Corona's voice would be rather gritty & the lowest sounding, goes well with her frequently harsh choice of words... I bet her laugh sounds so boisterous.

Selene again has the best vocal range of all, so she'd sound more trained when speaking than Corona does. By that I mean, regardless of how Selene is feeling, she’s always in control of how she sounds, unlike how the others’ emotions might affect their voices. Selene very naturally sounds confident and consistent in tone, and is probably the best public-speaker for this. I imagine that she changes her voice fittingly for dramatic effect during conversations.

Aaand... yeah, that's all I've got for now. This feels like a mess to read, so I'm sorry! I've genuinely never tried to describe voices before, and a lot of these have me messily describing personalities and stuff since that’s my reasoning behind my voice choices. 😅
