The Bullies

Baji and Mikey are both hard headed Alphas that are extremely protective over their Omegas. Lingering looks from others get met with death stares, and any other challenge is a fight. You cant count how many times you would have to pull Keisuke away so he didn't go feral on someone.

Baji holds you for hours.

He's smart enough not to take you home right away, instead dragging you to his house and letting you burrow into his bed. Drowning in his scent calmed you down enough to be somewhat reasonable as he presses soft kisses to the top of your head. Your face is pressed into his collarbone, panting softly into the silence of his room.

"Hurts."

"I know."

Baji sighs softly into your hair as you whimper, squirming around for a beat before relaxing again. It was cruel of Kazutora to do this to you. He'd been upset about your distance, too, but this— this was something he'd never expected his friend to do.

Obviously, you hadn't either. What reasonable person would? It makes him wish he’d kept the other boy on a tighter leash, and thats a rare feeling these days.

His gaze flickers down to the mark embedded in your skin with a mixture of longing and regret. If he'd been there, this wouldn't have happened. Fuck, if he'd been a better alpha none of this would have happened. Maybe you’d have softened after a few more months; Chifuyu had been working on you religiously. He knew if he’d just had a little more time that you would have eventually welcomed them back.

The idea that Kazutora had completely fucked things up again has his eyes closing to block out the sting in them.

"Keisuke." His name leaving your lips gives him goosebumps and he lets out a soft hum of acknowledgement. It comes out a little rough but you don't seem to mind, pressing closer to him.

"... don't leave me again." The words seem to ask so much more of him. He knows it’s just the hormones– knows you’ll change your mind. Of course you will. All he’s good for right now is offering you a comforting presence that you’re biologically designed to crave.

"I'm not going anywhere, baby." You finally got lax in his hold, breathing him in with an intensity that rivaled Kazutoras earlier. It's endearing despite the circumstances, and he prays you don't go back to hating him when you come out of the high.

Kazutora is sick.

His skin is burning and his dick is aching and he's never hated his biology more. It doesn't help that Chifuyu is laughing at him. The younger boy snickers with every whimper the other omega let's out, smug that karma had finally come for him.

"Help— 'fuyu, please—"

"Fuck no, you crazy bastard." It's unfortunate that omega whines don't work on other omegas, because Kazutora let's out one so needy that Baji would have hit his knees. Hell, you'd have flinched, at least.

But Chifuyu? Chifuyu just gives him a grin that gives the older boy chills.

"Remember this, Kazutora. Remember how much this hurts— how alone you feel. Because the next time you get our pack into some shit that risks us losing our beta, I'll make sure this is all you fucking know."

The mark doesn't fade, but the hormones do. 

It takes a day before you're ready to be parted from your alpha— but even then Baji finds himself reluctant to let go. You're pulling back, looking anywhere but directly at him, and he can't say he blames you for your hesitancy. Things have been weird between the two of you even before this... mishap.

"You sure you're okay?" You nod absently, fingers fluttering over the mark on your neck again. It's a thin line of silver against your skin, now; a little pink around the edges but otherwise almost healed.

It's the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen.

"Yeah." He can tell you don't mean to be short with him, offering a small smile to ease the snippy tone before starting over with a sigh and visibly wilting.

"Yeah, I'm okay. My parents are probably worried sick." Baji gets that.

His mother had spent the better part of her afternoon and the following morning fretting over the little beta he'd had locked up in his room. Mate marks were usually bestowed on one's pack in their early twenties, after the confirmation that they really were going to stay together. Kazutora had skipped that step— chaining their little beta to his side without concern for how she felt about it.

The larger part of Baji was grateful – and then feeling guilty for that – but he tries to squash it under the anxiety. Will you leave again? Go back to ignoring him and belittling them? He wouldn’t blame you. If it had been him, he would probably start going to those AO Centers to handle his ruts just to be a dick. Dodging your pack isn't impossible these days; as long as all parties are still breathing you don't have to interact directly with anyone unless you want to.

You could disappear and there would be nothing they could do about it.

Baji stiffens when your hand grasps his loosely, but it brings his focus back to you. You look anxious, and it takes another second before he realizes you're not sure either; this whole situation is just as awkward for you as it is him. He laces his fingers with yours, squeezing and you relax.

"Let's go grab breakfast." You grin, head ducking in an attempt to hide it as he tugs you towards his bike and he realizes that just because your relationship isn't perfect doesn't mean it's not salvageable.

Chifuyu is happy for the first time in months. Watching you smile at Baji again was something he didn't even realize he needed until he stumbled upon the pair of you getting lunch together three weeks after Kazutoras most recent fuck up.

You're laughing, and he fights the urge to join you two.

He could — he's your omega first, and always has been — but you need this. Whether you know it or not, you desperately need to bond with your alpha more deeply than simply recognizing that he's part of your pack. If your version of that is sneaking off to get lunch when nobody's looking, then he's happy for you.

"Wanna go grab something else?" Kazutora asks, apparently thinking the same thing, and Chifuyu nods without hesitation. He's trying to do his own bonding, after all. Being the bigger person has never been his strong suit, but you'll never forgive Kazutora at this rate. If he can't accept the other omega, you never will; the pack will never be whole.

So when the older boy grins and latches onto his arm, he lets himself be dragged off with nothing more than a roll of his eyes.

Sanzu, not willing to back down from a fight, started barking right back at your dog who eventually stopped barking and hid behind you. Rumors said that inside that cottage there was a kind and gentle witch, who would grant you every wish you had. She was also an expert doctor and knew every little secret that herbs, and flowers had.

Everyone loved her, she was so kind with everyone and always ready to help every single helpless soul.

Said witch, (y/n) (l/n), was trying new potions with a few herbs she found in the woods, with the help of her fellow wizard Matsuno Chifuyu.

“(y/n) are you sure that the potions should look...like this?” asked a worried Chifuyu, eyeing the suspicious violet liquid, not only its appearance wasn’t comforting, even its smell was terrible.

“Fuyu, you don’t have to worry, I know what I’m doing” the (h/c)-haired witch assured him.

“Ohh yes, now I can sleep peacefully, knowing that miss witchy has everything under control” sarcastically said Hanemiya Kazutora, a demon friend of (y/n), receiving from said witch a glare.

“That thing looks like shit, it’s like that time Takemicchi cooked for us” exclaimed Baji Keisuke, a werewolf also friend of the witch, pointing disgustedly at the cauldron.

“Kei watch your mouth, or I will transform you into a dog.” calmly said the girl.

Keisuke ignored her “threat” and began to wander around his friend’s cottage, glacing all the books laying on the floor. Most of them were old and the language used was from at least from two or three centuries before.

“(y/n) why are you preparing this?” asked Kazutora while he was playing with (y/n)’s familiar, a black cat named Salem.

“Senju-chan asked me.” responded the witch while adding herbs in the cauldron, the liquid was changing color from violet to a dark green.

Hearing the girl’s name, all three males exchanged a glare and Kazutora smirked playfully.

“Your dear friend, Akashi Senju, right?” said the demon with a taunting tone.

(y/n) stopped her tracks and she could feel her embarrassment all over her face, what Kazutora was implying?

“W-Why you said that!” she shouted embarrassed.

“Kazu said nothing, (y/n) why are you so worked up?” Keisuke answered without hiding his smirk.

“Akashi Senju? Isn’t she that vampire that won against Terano South, the alpha of the pack Rokuhara Tandai?” questioned Chifuyu, he can’t believe that (y/n) a pacifist could be friends with someone known for their strength.

The man was surprised, this was his first time seeing Senju so open about her feelings towards a stranger, he smiled and hugged her.
