James is way over hated in the fandom (i didnt find this out till like yesterday guys why am i chronically like a decade late to fandom this happened with hetalia too note that i no longer am in the hetalia fandom i fucking hate hetalia) so ive taken it upon myself to contextualize his actions to make him more understandable and more of an actual character lol

Also small rant… ppl wishing he got killed off bcs of a few comments he made when he was like 14 years old at most? Bffr 😭 wishing for the death of a character for things they said as an angsty 14 year old vs claiming a literal geneva convention violator’s “redemption arc” was “ruined” is kind of insane lmfao (sorry lotor likers i dont fw him 😞) like come on guys. Also its very clear how much he’s changed like of all the characters in the show i would argue his redemption arc was the most effective. He was shown to be golden boy, super respectful of chain of command and a stickler for rules. So for him to go out of his way to disobey direct orders, break the rules, and not only put his life on the line but the lives of 3 others and possibly more to sneak Hunk to see his family, is actually like insane. Even if you disregard my jaith headcanons, the fact he would do that for hunk (and by extension, keith) is more than enough of a redemption arc imo.

I put as many of my maintenance doctor appointments in the winter time as I can, due to garden season being a busy time I don't want to interrupt for my chauffeur (read: my mom) and I also don't do well traveling in the heat. So winter is also when I Learn Things. Recently I had my six month followup with New Rheumy, whom I like a great deal more than Old Rheumy (the one that didn't think a score of 20% on a QoL survey was a bad thing). We discussed some things, adjusted some meds, all pretty standard. Then at the end she said "Your alkaline phosphatase was low on your last test. I only have this one test to look at but that's not normal..." and I interrupted with "Oh yeah, it's been like that for years. It's always low." And she gave me this side eye like

The thing with alkaline phosphatase (ALP on a blood test, or alk phos depending on who did it) is that for years doctors didn't pay attention to low numbers, only high ones. Doctors know the body uses it to build bones and process vitamin B6, but otherwise they don't really know much about it. High levels indicate liver problems, but unless you're a baby with soft bones low numbers don't raise alarms. My doctor said though that in just the last ten years or so, scientists have realized that even moderately low ALP causes weakness, headaches, brain fog, and extreme fatigue. You know, all the things I've struggled with for years. The condition is called hypophosphatasia, and the more extreme forms cause bones to not mineralize properly, but less severe ones may only cause weak teeth, or no bone involvement at all. To my knowledge I've never broken a bone (though people with HPP sometimes get microfractures that they're not aware of) but all the other symptoms check out.

I can get the genetic testing needed for diagnosis, but if it does turn out to be HPP I'm not sure about getting the treatment. In the US, the one medication available is only approved for use in people with the childhood forms of the disease (insert rant about how the US views illness in adulthood as a personal moral failing). I have to hope that the fact that I had these problems as a kid too will be enough. I'm currently waiting on the endocrinologist referral, my rheumy said he specializes in HPP so he should be able to put the pieces together and determine if that's what this is.

As strange as it is to say, I hope it is HPP. Treatment involves replacing the missing enzyme with multiple subcu injections every week, but nothing else works for me. Every condition we've checked for, every treatment I've tried, nothing works for long. It's like a bandaid. Eventually the bandaid falls off and the problem is still there.

These are my short and sweet rant about some of the characters I absolutely simp over.

So yall I have been reading one punch man manga lately and let me tell you-that shit is straight fire. Total recommend , 10/10 good shit right there.

Anyway we came here to talk about the character who has become my personal favorite this last arc. Zombieman

They did my man so dirty in the anime🥲😢.He looks so young yet so old but whatever , we came to alk about the manga not anime.

I simply love his interactions with everyone in the manga. From him and child emperor and those cute interactions they have(Seriously everytime those two interact I swear I get a new tooth cavity). To him trolling sweet mask after he called him a monster multiple times and sweet mask not being able to do a darn thing about it. He's calm , cool , and collected when the time calls for it but he's underline sweet to in his own way.

But seriously read the manga it's worth it , you don't even have to read the whole thing just start off where the anime ends if you want to.

Another thing I love about him is his appearance. He's got this grudge Gothic style that hits in all the right places and he's not bad on the eyes (in the manga atleast). And them muscles-boy have you seen them muscles (he literally bends a piece of metal to trap him and some monsters in the same room as him in chapter 101 it's crazy.)

hnnnnn it’s 2am and i already made a huge twitter thread abt this but I’m so obsessed with the dynamic between the royals and the marauders. because as much as the royals have every right to be as upset as they are and all of their reactions are so real and raw and make a lot of sense, i love seeing the marauders there to counter that. they’ve been suffering for their entire lives, while the royals sat in a castle, maybe not always happy, but comfortable. and then they lost everything, and yes that’s tragic, but that’s just how it is. to the marauders, that loss would be nothing new, because it’s the real fucking world out there and people die and the world is cruel and there is no justice except what you make yourself.

so why would they have any pity in their hearts for these ignorant royals who no nothing of their reality?
