Alfa Romeo Giulia Super 1600 « Familiare » Giorgetti Polizia
* To chase bank robbers through the streets of Naples or surf with the family in Portopalo (whichever comes first).
The Giulia Familiare, also called "Promiscua", was produced by several coachbuilders, mainly the workshops of Colli, Grazia and Giorgetti, built in very limited numbers. The "Polizia Stradale" used it and there was also an ambulance version. There are various subtleties between the different versions, the most visible ones being the tailgate.
According to Alfa Romeo records, this example left the factory on October 18, 1972 and was sold to "Societa Autostrade" in Rome, Italy. It is understood that it was used by the "Polizia Stradale" as evidenced by the additional police equipment mounted in the original dashboard (kept with the car) and the police siren that remains mounted! The original engine was removed and retained to make room for a brand new Alfaholics block, a piece of goldsmithery largely derived from the technical heritage of the GTA. The power is then increased to 185 horsepower and remains perfectly usable in all conditions. The latter allows to drive in the city as well as on a circuit. Such a car is admirable.
In this package, Alfaholics provided a GTA short-ratio gearbox kit with new internal components, an Alfaholics racing differential, a GTA-R brake kit with aviation-style brake hoses, a GTA-R suspension kit with adjustable front threaded combination springs mounted on 7×15 GTA lightweight wheels.
