BIOGRAPHY
Alex Karev was born and raised in Iowa. He grew up in a troubled household with a father who was an alcoholic and a mother who suffered from mental illness. He had to take on responsibilities beyond his years, often caring for his younger siblings and navigating the challenges of his family life.
He attended the University of Iowa for his undergraduate studies. He pursued a career in medicine, attending medical school at the University of Iowa College of Medicine.
Alex began his medical career as an intern at Seattle Grace Hospital, where he quickly gained a reputation for his brash and competitive demeanor. Throughout his residency and beyond, Alex advanced in his career, specializing in pediatric surgery. He demonstrated exceptional surgical skills and earned the respect of his colleagues, even if at times, he faced ethical dilemmas, which put him at odds with superiors.
Alex faced various personal struggles throughout his career, including insecurities stemming from his difficult upbringing and challenges in his relationships. He can be quick-tempered, cocky and harsh, but over time, Alex underwent significant character development, revealing a more compassionate and caring side. . He formed close bonds with his patients, particularly children, and showed a willingness to go above and beyond for their well-being.
He also formed close relationships with fellow interns Meredith Grey, Cristina Yang, George O'Malley, and Izzie Stevens. Over time, he turned into less of 'evil spawn' and more Alex to them. He and Meredith were especially close, once they were the only two left.
He was a womanizer for a long time, but had some long-term relationships too, with people, such as Izzie Stephens, who he had a tumultous relationship and marriage with, before she left, Lexie Grey, and Jo Wilson. There are many others (which can be found at the bio linked below).
Later down the road, it was revealed that Alex reunited with Izzie Stevens, who had his children through IVF, using his sperm. He chose to make the hard decision to Seattle and his career behind, to be with Izzie and their children.
Despite his flaws, Alex was beloved by many for his loyalty, wit, and dedication to his patients and colleagues. He went from a cocky intern to a compassionate surgeon.
His actual canon bio: HERE, which has more details.
VERSES:
V: Just a smart-mouthed kid [Pre-Show Alex]
Alex had a troubled childhood. Foster homes. Mentally ill mother and alcoholic father. He went to University of Iowa for undergraduate and medical school.
V: Evil Spawn turned compassionate Pediatric Surgeon [Life in Seattle]
Alex Karev is brash, rude, knows how to get women and he knows how to keep people from getting too close. He knows that he's going to make a damn good surgeon, and the least he expected was bonding with his fellow interns. Over time, he becomes more compassionate, protective of those he cares about and a great surgeon.
V: I left and I'm with Izzie [Alex' live after Seattle, in a new hospital, back with the woman he loves and their children]
Alex left to be with Izzie and their children. He chose having a family over being in Seattle and it was the most important decision of his life.
V: The point is it doesn't matter what the rest of us think [Canon Divergency and AU]
Sometimes, canon can be changed a little and sometimes, AU's happen.

As a Padawan in the Jedi temple, Obi-Wan grows up, learning the Jedi way, eventually being chosen by Qui Gon Jinn. He becomes his apprentice, and they go on various journeys. This continues until Qui-Gon’s untimely death, at the hands of Darth Maul.
J E D I K N I G H T
As a promise to his dying master, the newly knighted Obi-Wan takes on training a young Anakin Skywalker. As he grows and gets used to being a Knight and handling his own missions, he’s handling being a master to his young, complex Padawan too. Obi-Wan tries to be the kind of Jedi Knight that is understanding, fair and doesn’t react emotionally.
J E D I M A S T E R
After Anakin is made a Jedi Knight and the Clone Wars begin, Obi-Wan is officially a Jedi Master. During the war, he is also a General, with his own Clone Army. As a Jedi Master, he has a seat on the Jedi Council and is often called the Negotiator. He tries to handle things the best he can, despite the fact that it is not always the easiest to do so.
I S O L A T I O N
The Clone Wars are over, and Anakin is dead. Obi-Wan had to kill his brother (or that’s what he thinks). He had to help hide his children from the new head of the Empire. The Jedi have mostly been killed and he himself is in isolation, hiding away, since Jedi are still being killed. He doesn’t use the force and works with his hands. He’s extremely broken, lonely and grief-stricken.
K E N O B I A N D B E Y O N D
10 years after his fight with Anakin on Mustafar, he discovers Anakin is alive, only he is now Darth Vader. After a run-in, he sees that he is basically a cyborg. He is trying to protect Anakin’s children, but it seems Darth Vader is extra obsessed with killing him. He just is trying to figure out how to get through life, now. After the events of Kenobi, he moves out of the cave and tries to get used to life as Ben Kenobi, while still watching over Luke, most to Owen Lars dismay.
A N E W H O P E
More time has passed and he’s settled into things, as an older man. He’s known to every one as Ben known, Obi-Wan not even a name that he recognizes, most of the time, anymore. But, he gets a message that Leia needs help and he knows he’ll have to help her. It’s also time to teach Luke about the force, all while being careful, how much to tell him about his father.
F O R C E G H O S T
After Obi-Wan’s death, he becomes a force ghost, providing counsel to Luke and others who can communicate with force ghosts.
I N T O T H E F U T U R E
Obi-Wan did not fall to Darth Vader, in A New Hope and continues his life. He is not sure if he would want the responsibility of training Luke. He is too old to have a Padawan and he knows that he is a risk, due to his connection to Vader. But, he teams up with the Rebellion and continues to help where he is needed. He can still fight and he can counsel when needed (Canon Divergent Verse)

BIOGRAPHY
George O'Malley was born and raised in a close-knit family. He grew up with two older brothers, Jerry and Ronny, who often teased him, contributing to his feelings of inadequacy and his drive to prove himself. His mother, Louise O'Malley, is very loving and supportive, while his father, Harold O'Malley, is a traditional man with health issues that later become significant in George's life.
George excelled academically and pursued his dream of becoming a doctor. He attended medical school, where he was known for his dedication and hard work, despite often struggling with self-confidence.
George began his medical career as a surgical intern at Seattle Grace Hospital, joining a group that included Meredith Grey, Cristina Yang, Izzie Stevens, and Alex Karev. His initial nerves and a botched appendectomy earned him the nickname "007," implying a "license to kill," which deeply affected his self-esteem.
Under the mentorship of Dr. Miranda Bailey, George worked hard to overcome his initial setbacks. Bailey's tough but caring guidance was instrumental in his development as a surgeon.
Throughout his time at Seattle Grace, George struggled with confidence and competence issues. Despite these challenges, he demonstrated growth and resilience, earning respect from his peers and superiors.
George's father, Harold, was diagnosed with cancer and underwent a complex surgery that was ultimately unsuccessful. Harold's death deeply affected George, causing him to reassess his life and career.
George's personal life was marked by complex relationships. His impulsive marriage to Callie Torres ended in divorce after his affair with Izzie Stevens. His romantic life was often turbulent, reflecting his internal struggles and desire for genuine connection.
He heroically saved a woman from being hit by a bus, sustaining severe injuries in the process. The extent of his injuries made him unrecognizable, and it was only through writing "007" in Meredith's hand that his colleagues realized his identity. George's death was a significant and emotional turning point in the series.
His character embodies the themes of compassion, resilience, and the importance of personal and professional integrity. George's legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the lessons he imparted, making him one of the most beloved and enduring characters.
His actual canon bio: HERE, which has more details.
VERSES:
V: Georgie O'Malley [Early Life]
George was the youngest brother of three brothers and not as tough as his other two brothers. But, he was smart and he eventually chose to go to medical school.
V: 007 [Intern Year(s) and Residence]
George is one of five interns at Seattle Grace, and he earns the title 007, after just a couple weeks. He struggles but perseveres. Even as he has to repeat his intern year until he gets to retake it and become a resident with his friends, he still tries his best.
V: I'm about to do something important [Canon Divergence]
Maybe George didn't leave to meet his mom or didn't join the army. Maybe he did. But this is all canon divergency and AU.

Mark ✖ (Starter Call)
BIOGRAPHY
Mark was born to upper-class, but emotionally distant parents in New York City. While working on a case involving a man's sleepwalking and his daughter's subsequent insomnia, Mark revealed that his own parents would often go out at night, leaving him to care for himself. As a result, he would turn on all the TVs and every light in the house, even those in the closets, but still couldn't sleep.
Later, he revealed that he and Derek Shepherd were childhood friends and when Derek's mother, Carolyn, saw how lonely he was, she encouraged Derek to bring him home. This led Mark to develop a family relationship with the Shepherds, and become like a brother to Derek. When Derek's mother visited, she revealed that a 10-year-old Mark once put Derek's favorite frog into the microwave, to which Mark replied that he never pressed start.
Professionally, Mark was regarded as a very successful and renowned surgeon and one of New York's finest plastic surgeons. Alex Karev referred to him as the "go-to-guy" for plastics on the East Coast, and Richard Webber proposed that the addition of Mark to Seattle Grace's plastics program would double the revenue of other departments. He is skilled at delicate and complex reconstructive procedures, but also performs cosmetic procedures. Of his personal philosophy, he says: "People don't come to me to fix what's on the outside. They come to me to fix what's on the inside."
Shortly before Derek's move to Seattle, Mark and Addison were caught having sex in Derek's bedroom. According to Mark, Derek merely walked out, packed his things, and left. Derek later learned that they continued to see each other after he left. Part of the reason Mark moved to Seattle was to try to continue his relationship with Addison. Addison gave him an ultimatum: If he could go sixty days without sleeping with anyone else, she would consider dating him. However, when Mark saw Addison and Alex Karev coming out of an on-call room together, he realized that they had had sex, and lied to Addison that he had slept with someone to break the 60-day contract. He never revealed to Addison that he caught her.
Shortly after arriving at Seattle Grace, Derek punched him, it is later revealed, while Meredith is cleaning his facial wound, that it was due to his even stronger feelings for Meredith rather than Addison. Meredith and Mark only spoke to each other and Mark got punched, Mark and Addison had sex and Derek simply walked away and did not look back. Mark slept with Addison again before he intended to leave, but he stayed and became the Head of Plastic Surgery.
Mark was in the running for Chief of Surgery, along with Derek, Burke, and Addison. He got a idea from Bailey mentioning the hospital needs a "right now" plan, not a ten-year plan. Richard Webber told the other 3 that the board was eating up the "right now" plan, and suggested that they should do the same.
Mark had a sexual relationship with Callie Torres. Mark started flirting with Erica Hahn, which she rejected. Mark suggested having a threesome between him, Callie, and Erica. Erica said he would be intimidated by her and Callie's relationship, and kissed Callie before stepping off the elevator.
Mark and Lexie Grey started their relationship off with Lexie going to his apartment, taking off her clothes and telling him to "teach her." They then had sex. After that, Mark wanted to resist Lexie because of his promise to Derek but it proved futile. He and Callie tried to make a pact to not sleep with the hot surgical interns, but it falls through. At the end of the day Callie and Mark are side by side at the bar at Joe's. Mark has reservations about Lexie's relative age and inexperience, but more so about breaking his promise to Derek. Especially when Derek is gearing up to propose to Meredith; Mark questions maybe breaking up with Lexie because he can't sleep with any more of Derek's sisters.
When Mark fractures his penis during sex, Lexie comforts him in the aftermath. Mark is initially humiliated and asks Lexie to leave, but after surgery they cuddle. Lexie confronts Mark about keeping their relationship a secret. She's tired of lying to the people close to her and says they need to go public.
During the hospital shooting, Mark and Lexie were at the nurses' station, where shots were fired by Gary Clark. Mark ran Lexie to the elevator, which had an unconscious and bloody Alex Karev in it. They brought Alex to a conference room, where they treated him until the SWAT team evacuated them.
Shortly after Arizona moved to Africa, Callie started sleeping with Mark. Callie got pregnant with Mark's baby and Mark decided he wanted to be part of this baby's life, because he didn't have the chance with his other daughter, Sloan. When Arizona came back to Seattle Grace Mercy West, she and Callie got into a car accident. Callie was badly injured. She had to have an emergency c-section at 23 weeks. She gave birth to a premature baby and named her Sofia. Sofia and Callie both survived. Mark helped raise Sofia with Callie and Arizona until his death.
In 2012, while traveling to Boise, Idaho to perform a separation surgery of conjoined twins, Mark was in a plane crash. He, along with Meredith, Lexie, Cristina, Arizona, and Derek became stranded in the woods. Mark seemed to have escaped with only minor injuries at first, though after the death of Lexie, he became unresponsive. Cristina examined his chest to find major bruising. Cristina realized that he had a cardiac tamponade, fluid surrounding his heart. Meredith used a tube from a bottle that Derek and Cristina found to drain the fluid. Cristina, Meredith, and Derek were able to get Mark to the front of the plane where Arizona and the pilot were. Mark woke up and told Arizona that Lexie was dead, and that she was waiting for him. Mark tried to tell Arizona he would be okay when he died, but she told him that she, Sofia, and Callie were waiting for him, too.
Mark was airlifted to Idaho, then sedated and moved to Seattle Grace Mercy West. He spent two months declining until he woke up briefly. After that day, he fell into a coma. After thirty days, they turned the life support machines off and Derek and Callie sat with him while he died.
His actual canon bio: HERE, which has more details.
VERSES:
V: Wealthy but broken [New York Years]
Mark was born wealthy, but neglected by his parents. He became an honorary Shepherd. He, Derek and Addison were best friends, until Mark slept with Addision and Derek left them all..
V: McSteamy: I'm Self Destructive And Self-Loathing To An Almost Pathological Degree [Life in Seattle]
Mark Sloan spent years at Seattle Grace, the best plastic surgeon out there. But, he didn't commit to women easily. That didn't mean he didn't sleep with them though, a lot. He can be hard to crack, but when he cares about people in his life, he lets them in. He's still arrogant though.
V: Sometimes we forget that all that matters is people [Canon Divergency and AU]
Canon isn't always what works best. Sometimes, AU can be good, as well as divergency from canon.
