Hey Monday I have grown to appreciate music from the early 1960's through present day. It’s a pleasure to hear a great tune that stays with you & brings a smile to your face when you hear it. Equally satisfying is finding a band you have a connection to. I could go on & on about all the songs I enjoy listening to & all the bands I have come to know & follow. It seems when you become a fan of a rock band you stay a fan forever. I have always enjoyed new bands & a new sound & find that music is always evolving & changing. When you find a new band to follow it brings a new & fresh perspective & a new found sense of excitement. When I hear a new tune I like or see a new video on youtube I like I will research the band & it’s members I have a son who loves music as much as I do so I’m also learning of music & new bands from his perspective which I find very interesting. I have always enjoyed spending time with my son & exposing him to music & talented artists. He has grown to like music from my generation & I’m starting to appreciate music from his generation. I find that although we have a fondness for & a connection to music of our generations we also appreciate the new sound & the up & coming music artists of today. One such band I have started to notice is a band based in Florida called Hey Monday who formed in March 2008. I happened to come across a video my son enjoyed of one of their popular songs & I really enjoyed watching & listening to it. The song & the performance was amazing. The members of the band were great together. The lead singer is a young woman. I’m in awe when I see such young performing artists playing with such talent & with such maturity & poise. I was instantly hooked with their song “How You Love Me Now”. I posted it to my facebook page so I could watch it anytime. I also favorited it on my Youtube channel. Cassadee Pope Confirms Hey Monday Reunion Set

Cassadee Pope has confirmed with Alt Press that Hey Monday will be playing a reunion set at her upcoming homecoming event: I definitely can say Mike [Gentile, guitar] and Alex [Lipshaw, rhythm guitar] from Hey Monday. So far, they’re the only ones I can say that I’m positive are coming. I know a few others have said they’re definitely coming, but I also don’t want to say that and then have it in writing and then you know… But definitely Mike and Alex, which I’m so excited about. That’s like the heart and soul of the band, you know? The three of us were the first members to come together in West Palm Beach. I went to high school with Alex, and Mike played in my band Blake before Hey Monday. So the three of us really were the ones that put the band together in the first place and formed first. So it’ll be really exciting.
