The new initiative you have heard rumours of has been approved, and the same vessel carrying this letter should have aboard it a young Licence-Prospector by the name of Regana tsi Ovnen. This initiative is of her design, and she is to be extended all reasonable assistance in establishing her practice here. The Finance Board and the Eastern Office have placed great hope as well as significant resources in the success of this venture.

I do not believe you have been previously introduced, and her reputation may well not precede her, so allow me to give her a brief introduction that you may understand your new associate's work. She is a native of Vilv, and of a respectable if not exemplary family. She has experienced considerable success working in the Anshess and Ebwar, dealing primarily with the potentates and established wealth of those lands, and has by this work elevated her own position . Her recommendation from the Anshess Office could not be higher; they were loath to have her return to the Spires and lose one of their most capable and profitable agents.

As to the new initiative; Regana is being sent to Lansk to assist in the renewal of the district damaged by the insurrection. Her experience as a Licence-Prospector abroad is being turned towards the raising of capital, the streamlining of existing industries, and the establishment of new business in Lansk itself. The principle of applying these business practices to Abheksi affairs has long been suggested and decried in turn; Regana's proposal represents the first complete and well-reasoned attempt to specifically applying these ideas in actual domestic usage. This undertaking was not without some initial resistance in the Finance Board. However, it has been seen that the good of the Company and the good of Lansk are one and the same, more often than otherwise. Further integrating ourselves in the mercantile and industrial makeup of the city can only be to our mutual benefit – a strong tailwind carries all vessels, as is said.

Your role in working with Regana is to assist her in liaising with the Municipal Hall and the new Chief Bailiff – I assume one has finally been selected, though the news has not yet reached me. She is to be considered your subordinate, but you are expected to give her great liberty in how she conducts her business. As this is a new and untested venture, there may be unprecedented complications of rank and etiquette; we ask you both to approach your working relationship in honest faith and with the good of the Company – and thus, the city! – always as your shared goal.

We have but two restrictions to place on her, owing to the differing circumstances of working in Abheski cities instead of the Anshess. Having become used to cheap labour, she must not be allowed to expect access to the work of those citizens housed in the Depot; this would be poor for the population's morale, and could easily be misrepresented by agitating elements still lurking within the City. Similarly, the use of Company arms will not be permitted as liberally as she may have grown accustomed to. I hardly expect that you need to be instructed in these matters, and do not take this caution for a lack of belief in your judgement, but I have been directed to make these caveats explicit.

I have had no time nor energy to draw as of late so pls enjoy some HCs of Nessa working at a burger joint! Featuring Oli, Danny, Florah, Alette, and many more of my favorites!!

first off, it's definitely Burger Mart- invincible style- oh and she fucking hates it.

this also takes place in a more normal life AU I suppose?

the coworkers are fine n shit but it's the customers that come in. She's definitely constantly reminded to hold her tongue

I'm basing the scheduling off of my work so most nights it's only 4 of them. Nessa more often than not is on close with Oli, Danny, and then Alette is only there 6-10 but I HC she works more days than others

they trade with other stores. There's a millennial food place next door with vegetarian options as well (for Oli and Alette if I'm not incorrect). Nessa has major beef with one of the employees there but besides that they trade regularly

I imagine either Danny or Oli would be shift leads or mangers. Nessa is well... Yeah.. and I imagine Alette to be a part timer while attending school (college or whatever) or something of the sort

Florah and Muse visit often. Muse isn't a huge fan of the food but at the very least the kids seem to enjoy it, and though she'd never admit it; Nessa enjoys having friends and family visit her at work. It's a reprieve from all the shitty customers

Speaking of which, Oli had to once talk Nessa down from jumping over the counter and arguing with a customer

"do you still fry your fries in the hamburger meat?" / "...what?" / "I'm a vegetarian and I remember there being a FDA thing passed about you not being able to go that anymore." / "You can't be serious- this isn't even real fucking meat-" / "...no ma'am, the fry are fried in peanut oil as to meet the new regulations."

i think working wise Nessa actually enjoys the group she is scheduled which, they're more efficient when working and she just feels like she could have more fun

When the other place does wanna trade, Nessa will buy food for Alette, she's a big fan of the girl and only hopes to stay in her food graces- also because even Nessa is absolutely disgusted with the "food" they serve

I think Danny was definitely the hardest one for Nessa to get close too. I can see Danny having a sad resting face for a rlly bad RBF, depending on the day. So it definitely took a while for her to get more comfortable

Until one day, one of the guys from the vegetarian place came over to trade food and Nessa immediately took notice of the shift in Denny's mood. Nessa can't remember the name- uh- Woods something?

alette was actually fairly easy for Nessa to get comfortable around. It started with small random questions that Nessa would nervously ask. "If you orange your cat blue, how many feet does your piano?", "what would your starter pokemon be?", etc.

Eventually Nessa got over that initial nervousness of talking to that pretty sad-looking coworker and she just kinda naturally feel into conversation with them all

Tbh Nessa thinks all three of them are attractive in their own right- But Alette was that sad kind of pretty you'd find in Hamlet, oil paintings, etc.

It's all good tho!

Nessa has a few favorite regulars. Her Moms quite obviously being some of them. I'll expand more on this later

Sometimes her little siblings would come into work and just chill with everyone on days where Nessa can't take them home in time after school. Everyone loves having them

some mostly gruesome facts abt my creepypasta oc alette because shes always on my mind

she is a vegetarian but after slenderman made her a cannibal she can only stomach a bit of non human food before she throws up

think like tokyo ghoul how the dude vomits trying to eat normal food,, its like that but she can eat normal food, just not much

shes rlly skinny bc she tries to avoid eating humans as much as possible and only lives on small portions of vegetarian meals,, but slenderman always forces her to eat someone eventually so she doesnt die

her cannibalism works sorta like vampires, she is always fighting the urge to eat people,, sometimes she loses and goes into a sort of meat frenzy where she sinks her teeth into ANYONE. she is also aware when it happens,, she just loses control of her body and helplessly watches in the backseat of her own head

shes always rlly ashamed after so she carries a muzzle everywhere just in case she snaps around people

her closest friends have at least one scar from her trying to eat them,, she starts crying whenever she sees it bc her brain goes “remember when you tried to eat someone you love”

she ate her parents so she is lwk traumatised. but also… relieved..?

she never hates ppl bc shes too nice, except slenderman bc he made her a monster

she was raised on a farm in a tiny Louisiana village and everyone thought she was rlly creepy since she didnt talk much

her parents were rlly religious and pretty awful people (murderers) but they rlly loved their daughter and were actually good parents!

which is why she is so conflicted abt the fact the ate them,, they protected her and adored her but they killed people

like one of the villagers thought it would be funny to teach her to use a shotgun when she was 7,, she accidentally shot an animal and had a meltdown abt it so her parents chopped him up and fed him to their pigs

and shes pretty sure they then sold the pork from that pig to his family

you can see why shes vegetarian

now for some normal ones hehe

her fave colour is dusty pink and parchment (dusty, yellowish white)

her aesthetic is very southern religious trauma meets gloomy coquette,, think like allison harvard

she has selective/situational mutism teehee

she also has social anxiety which makes her stutter when she does speak,, nd she has pretty severe panic attacks abt everything

and i mean everything like if she accidentally steps on a snail she will have a panic attack

she puts pink ribbons on her shoes and bags,, if she has a friend she will shyly tie a pink ribbon somewhere on their person (wrist, ankle, shoe, clothes etcetera)

she likes a lot of music but she loves lana del ray, crystal castles, bôa, grimes, pastel ghost and cigarettes after sex the most

You may not have heard the most recent news from the eastern quarters. Following a failed attempt to prevent the Valdjini company from succumbing to the pressures of agitation, an insurrection has seized control of an industrial district of Otvev. The blame for this has been placed solely on the Temar Company; though traitors within our ranks contributed to our mission's failure, Valdjini cowardice allowed the cancer of agitation to grow and fester.

In the aftermath of this debacle, Otvev and Vilv have cancelled their municipal contracts with us. Our routes to the East have been dogged by attacks, seemingly from free traders. I suspect the Valdjini and Eltjini may be the originators of these aggressions, either through employing proxies or disguising their own vessels. As well as these cowardly acts unbecoming of civilized trade, many believe the Valdjini and Eltjini Commissions are close to declaring outright open war upon the Company, with the backing of Vilv, Otvev, and many of the smaller companies. Public opinion among the groundsfolk has turned against us in these cities, though our support in Mirsvr and Zhikav remains steadier.

These events have caused significant disruptions to our TransOlyen and Hoitani offices – as well being unable to supply our Depots adequately, investors are beginning to doubt the security of the enterprises carried out in those regions, and their wavering confidence compounds our difficulties in addressing the material causes of their concerns.

Upon your arrival at my estate, I request that you begin to outfit the Fasaathi with whatever you may require for an extended cruise in the TransOlyen region. Supplies have been procured and my staff have been instructed to assist you to their greatest extent. I have arranged a line of credit to purchase any further necessary material from the city. The day started out as peaceful as peaceful could be. It was mid April and the sun was bright and warm. The wind was blowing causing the bells outside of your house to jingle. The birds chirped lightly in the background, almost as if it were a movie.It was a beautiful Saturday morning. The only thing you felt was odd was the fact that you had remembered nothing from the previous night. Like nothing. Not a single piece. But who were you to complain. You were a below average Gotham civilian. Sure you had friends and all, but you missed your parents. Leaving your dad at the age 10 after your mother passed away and he had beaten you wasn’t the best idea. But you were young and dumb. Who could’ve blamed you when your father treated you terrible. But the odd feeling in your chest began to rise as you herd the door bell ring. Who the hell would be ringing your doorbell right now. Then the thought came into your head, the landlord. You lived with a roommate Alyssa, who helped you best she could. You guys were around the same age and she was in the near same situation as you were. Alyssa worked as a waitress and you worked in an office. Pretty high for a 15 year old girls. But your office had been slipping with sales and you were making less and less money every second. You and Alyssa did agree to split the rent though, and this month you hadn’t payed your side. You rushed to the sound of the doorbell and gingerly opened the door.

“I have a letter for….., Y/n L/n” the brunette mailman said in a slight hurry.

“That me” you spoke slightly confused. You weren’t suppose to receive mail this week. Who ever had written the letter was clearly in a rush to get it to you.

The note wrote,

Dear Y/n L/n,

We sincerely recommend that you accompany us in Gotham Academy. I know it sounds a little bold, as the school season is almost over, but we deeply wish for you to consider staying here with us. We have ravishing dorms, food, classroom, peers, teachers, and more! All of your expenses have been paid for. With all of your expenses paid for, we already have a dorm set up for you and we have found you a perfect roommate. Gotham Academy has been ranked the best school for century’s. Everyone at Gotham Academy have been informed of you and your potential move in already. We wish for you to at least tour the school before you say “no.” We will have only the best of the best show you Gotham Academy. If you do wish to at least see our school it would mean the world to me and your fellow peers. We look forward to potently see you tomorrow. Sleep well.

Today was the big day. Gotham Academy waited ahead of you. You were indeed slightly nervous of what waited ahead of you. You were just normal. Sure you had excellent grades but nothing was out of the normal about you.

You could only begin to change your mind as you pulled up to the daring dark figure of this breathing taking school. This was gonna be one hell of an experience.
