2024 Hyundai Alcazar Launched In India At ₹ 14.99 Lakh: Price, Specs, Features
Hyundai India has launched an updated avatar of its 7-seater SUV - Alcazar. The Creta-based 3-row SUV was long due for a mid-cycle refresh. The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift is launched at a special introductory starting price of ₹ 14.99 lakh for petrol variants and ₹ 15.99 lakh for diesel variants. It will continue to take on its existing set of rivals - Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector, Citroen C3 Aircross, Kia Carens and more. In the last few months, the Alcazar has been a dull seller. The update, however, is expected to add some more numbers to the SUV's monthly sales tally.
The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar isn't just a stretched-out Creta, in terms of its looks. It opts for a bold-looking design theme, comprising of a rather butch-looking front facet with H-shaped connected LED DRLs, a large radiator grille, and a wide scuff plate.
Around the sides, the big change is the addition of new 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, bigger rear quarter windows, black-painted cladding, and bridge-type roof rails. The rear face of the Alcazar is also heavily tweaked with the use of a new spoiler, a reworked bumper, and a fresh design for the skid plate. It also gets connected LED taillamps with sequential turn indicators.
As for the dimensions, the Alcazar is 4,560 mm in length, 1,800 mm wide, and 1,710 mm tall. In comparison to the outgoing model, the 2024 Alcazar is 60 mm longer, 10 mm wider, and 35 mm taller. The wheelbase remains unaltered at 2,760 mm.
On the inside, the big change on the 2024 Hyundai Alcazar is a new dashboard layout, which is borrowed from the facelifted Creta. The cabin is now upholstered in new shades - noble brown and haze navy. The dual-tone treatment gives a premium appeal to the overall cabin.
Besides, the 6-seater variant now features ventilated second-row seats with folding armrests, which improve the accessibility to the third-row. Unique thigh extenders are a key highlight of the Alcazar's interior.
The bold new Hyundai Alcazar will be offered in 9 colours with 8 mono-tone options including the new Robust Emerald Matte, Titan Grey Matte, Robust Emerald, Starry Night, Ranger Khakhi, Fiery Red, Abyss Black, Atlas White, and 1 dual-tone colour option available in Atlas White with Black Roof.

Comparison of Hyundai Alcazar vs Tata Safari 2023 is heating 7 seater SUV market once again with new upgarades by this year. Without a powerful Engine, the big size 7 seater SUVs are just a box. The engine plays a very crucial role on sizable SUVs especially for 7 seater segment which makes it possible to move an SUV with full capacity.

TITIAN’S POESIE
Around 1550, Titian conceived of a cycle of large paintings with mythological subjects chosen by himself from Ovid’s Metamorphoses. After Maximilian II declined the offer, he approached Prince (and after 1556, King) Felipe II of Spain, who agreed to finance the project. Over the 11 years, the 6 canvases were slowly painted and dispatched to the Alcazar palace in Spain.
In a letter to Felipe, Titian refers to the paintings as poesie, implying that the pictures, derived from a classical text, were comparable to literary productions, and. by extension, that painting was an intellectual pursuit. Titian’s art, of course, was renowned for its hedonistic sensuality, not its sober learning. Titian was well aware of this, and the Ovidian poesie do not disappoint: using Venetian prostitutes for models, the pictures all feature nude females in amorous contexts. How these bravura exercises in eroticism were received by the pious Felipe II (or what his queen, Mary Tudor, thought about the pictures) is unknown. The works were all accepted, but relocated from the more public Alcazar to the more private Buen Retiro palace. The group was gradually dispersed in the subsequent century.
Titian never saw the finished paintings together, but you can. They have now been reunited for the first time since the late 16th century in an exhibition entitled Titian: Love, Desire, Death. Organized by the National Gallery of Art, the Museo del Prado and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and curated by Matthias Wivel, the exhibition includes seven works:
— Danaë, 1551/53, London, The Wellington Collection, Apsley House. Long thought to be one of six copies of the picture, this version is now considered to be the one sent to Felipe.
— Venus and Adonis, 1554 and Danaë, 1560s, Madrid, Museo del Prado. The Wellington Danaë and the Venus and Adonis were among the early works delivered to Felipe around 1554. Superior in quality to the Wellington version, the Prado Danaë was assumed to have been Felipe’s picture until recently argued otherwise. It is included in the show in order to continue the debate based on the side-by-side comparison of the two paintings.
— Diana and Callisto and Diana and Actaeon, both 1556/59, both jointly owned by the National Gallery and the National Galleries of Scotland.
— The Rape of Europa, 1562, Boston, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. The Gardner Museum rarely loans its works and this recently-restored Titian is the pre-eminent picture in its collection and the centerpiece of the exhibition.
— Perseus and Andromeda, 1554/65, London, Wallace Collection. This is the Wallace Collection’s first loan in its 119-year history. The picture will only appear in the London exhibition.
— Death of Actaeon (1556/75) London, National Gallery. This picture was intended to be part of the group, but was left unfinished and never delivered.
Unfortunately, this focused, humanly-scaled exhibition, providing a unique opportunity to see a group of supreme masterworks of western painting in their original pictorial context, is going unseen in London, due to the museum's closure caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The exhibition dates at all four venues (London, Edinburgh, Madrid, and Boston), however, might be rescheduled—a huge logisitical challenge, but one seemingly worth the extra effort.
The opening date of the National Gallery's Artemisia Gentileschi exhibition has also been postponed.

30s AU: Estela and Gabriel’s First Meeting
Dressed in lace her hand liberated the champagne coupe from a passing serving tray. Estela gazed over the fizzing gold liquid at the crowed, colorful ballroom. Glittering crystals of the chandeliers diffused the electrical light into a warm sparkling glow. Almost the dream setting to celebrate her marriage announcement.
Her older brother had spared no expense. Considering the limited input Estela had over this arranged marriage, Ernesto had no reason to hold back. Champagne and hard liquor flowed freely as water. Exotic foods adorned the serving trays. Music filled the room. Even the very dress she wore was an effort to appease her for agreeing to the contract. Lace, sable, and sequins elegantly designed into a gown fit for a queen. Gold bangles and hair pieces finished the regal appearance. For if she became the bargaining chip binding two strong criminal families, then she made certain she took advantage of all the wealth and status the agreement afforded her. She was marrying a King of Havana.
The little Estela knew of the Reyes family came from her brother. They were business partners forced to work with each other during Prohibition. The Reyes had the connection to alcohol manufacturers and the Alcazars controlled the illegal trade in New York. Gabriel had simply been a name floating in the periphery of business talks. A man who could reach every level of society and create profit with a few words. That was far more appealing than the brute strength her brother employed. She would never think of leaving her family. They had given her access to the most glamorous clubs in the city. But a Reyes could reach the social elite.
Estela understood the power behind this marriage better than her gun-toting brother. Politics were everything. Knowing the right people, making them owe favors, and holding blackmail against them kept the law away from her brother. She had reached the limit with her current status. Loathed as she was to give up the life of a single woman, it was a necessary evil to reach new heights.
She kept searching for a male face she didn’t recognize, particularly who Ernesto spoke with. This was the setting for their first meeting and she had yet to know who this Gabriel Reyes was. One gentleman stood out among the thick stocky men of the Alcazar Gang. Slender only by comparison, the man with dark skin had his slicked back hair disturbed by a single curl on his forehead. Dapper and far too fancy for one of Ernesto’s thugs.
Estela made the decision to approach the small group with all the authority of owning this party. Discarding the champagne, she smiled thinly at her brother. “Well, aren’t you going to introduce our guest?” With her hand hovering in the air, the gentleman immediately accepted and delicately pressed his lips to her laced fingers.
Ernesto in his typical brutish fashion confirmed her suspicions. “Ah, Estela. This is Gabriel Reyes from the Kings of Havana.
“It is a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance, Señorita.” The manners of a prince matched his appearance. Deep amber eyes search hers for intention. She narrowed her gaze catching hesitation under the gentlemanly gestures. This international dandy was her fiancé thanks to this attempt to merge power. This marriage would not be for love, but Estela had practice manipulating men to get what she needed or wanted. Business was for her brother, she wanted the high life.
“So, Mr. Reyes, I trust your trip was uneventful.”
“A little rough seas, but nothing troublesome. Thank you for your concern. But perhaps we can take a walk and get to know each other.” Gabriel tucked her hand into the crook of his arm. Bold and surprising that he did not request a dance. “Before the announcement.” He arched an eyebrow seeking her opinion. All carefully orchestrated to give her an opportunity to back out of this deal. This Reyes was smart and considerate.
Beside them Ernesto didn’t say a word. He had already made it clear that if the Kings of Havana wanted to be part of the power the Alcazar Gang had within New York then they had to be part of the family. The easiest solution was this arranged marriage. She knew that before she agreed to the arranged marriage. However getting to know the man before the announcement would save face should either find a quirk making it impossible to live together.
“Of course,” This deal was important to her brother, but she sensed it was vital for the Reyes. “We’ll be in the garden,” she side eyed her brother.
Gabriel escorted her to the double doors leading to the highly manicured gardens, even opening the door for her. A sedate pace took them to the elegant water fountain. Cherubs poured eternal steams into the shallow pool. “Well then, who are you, Mr. Reyes?” Estela slipped her hand from his arm and smoothed her skirts.
The islander stepped back to give her space. “Shall I begin with my education? Or are you more interested in my family history?” Gabriel remained polite but he recognized an interrogation. How else were they to learn about each other?
Carefully Estela took the man’s measure. The son of the Reyes cartel allowed very little emotion to escape from his deep brow and thick goatee. In a world of clean shaven men, the facial hair peaked her curiosity. She wanted to know where his confidence originated for such a bold decision. “What are you most proud of?”
A soft chuckle answered her. “That is a curious question.” The gleam in his eye declared the man had a significant point of pride.
“You’re in business with my brother. Obviously you’re involved the trade. Guns, drugs… That doesn’t interest me. But that is the only conversation Ernesto has at the dinner table. What topics do you bring?”
“Ah. Seeking variety.” Gabriel smiled, genuine delight filtered through. “Well, to start I studied business and law at University of Havana. Speak Spanish, English, German and French. But since you asked what I am most proud of, that would be my supper club the Lavender Shade.” Honesty and pride from a mafia man was necessary. It was almost amusing to find it came from a legitimate business.
Estela arched a delicate eyebrow. “A dance hall? That is different. I take it you dance.”
“Do you not?” Gabriel sounded aghast.
“Occasionally. Depends on who is available. Now I love my brother, but he does not frequent the right circles.” Estela took a seat on one of the stone benches. Gabriel joined her and remained standing. He gained an introspective look.
“And you expect to join me with my high society clients?”
“Do you expect your wife to sit on the sidelines when you go out on the town?” She had goals. Getting in good with those at the top would expand access wealth. Gifts and favors fueled her taste for luxury. Either from the men she lured or her husband to be.
“Of course not.” Gabriel sighed. “Then there is nothing preventing this arrangement.”
Estela decided to push into the reasoning for the Reyes Cartel to negotiate for this marriage. “What do you get out of this?”
The son of the Kings of Havana locked eyes with her. The intensity within the amber irises scared her. She had seen that look in her brother when the intention to kill came up in conversation. At that moment Estela knew Gabriel Reyes was just as capable. Then his face softened to something akin to annoyance. “For me personally? Nothing significant. Just another business deal as directed in the prenuptial. The only thing I will promise you is that I will treat you right and with respect.” Considering the circumstances, Estela believed him and she could accept it. She knew how to manipulate circumstances with men to gain leverage. This Reyes was just a man.

Characters I want to see return:
Ethan: He wasn't on long enough 😡
Johnny: Let my boy out of jail!!!! If sonny and julian can avoid jail so can he.
Brenda: She's not even my fav but she at least always infuriates carly and that has me dying 😂 ( Y'all remember when she threw a roll at her head)
Shawn: They did him so dirty!
Jason Q: .....I said what I said.
Nelle: *says in drake voice* I'm upset! I'm going to pretend nina gave birth to twins and nelle found her twin killed her and that's who is buried in the ground. A outlandish tale but this is soap opera land so it can happen. 🤡 ( I know most of y'all are team fuck nelle and its understandable but I wasn't watching her when she first came on I only know what went down due to wiki and I believe that's the only reason I'm not too tired of her yet...well I could do without her mentioning over and over again that nobody gave her a chance and her and carly having arguments.)
Tracy: yo I would love to see her reaction to valentin/brooklyn sleeping together 😂
Spencer: Let spencer come home!!!
Emma: I want them to age her up but at the same time I like that they've kept the same actress for so long.
Characters that can go:
Sonny/carly: They've had yeeeeeeeears of sls. I respect that their vets on gh but damn I'm tired of seeing them. They need to at least have the actors do what finola does by leaving for maybe two months on vacation.
Jason: I don't hate Jason's character, but what I do hate is him having no growth. I just want him to say to sonny/carly " Take care of your own problems and your own damn kids. I got a family of my own" but its not going to happen so he can leave..again.
Julian: He's probably about to exit anyway but he legit has no purpose on the show. All he has is an endless cycle of blackmail
Peter: Bitch nobody likes you. Bye.
Maxie: Just because you been acting stupid you can go too!
Anna: You better get on the same plane as maxie. Buh-bye!
Dustin: Nothing against him. He is a decent guy but his only role is lulu's love interest. I mean brando is being more active than he is and he's been here longer.
Franco: I'm sick of liz propping him up and I wish the writers would stop saying he was a bad boy.
Molly/tj: I don't care about this secret ons sl. Brolly don't have chem anyway.
Jordan: Bye girl bye. She is the worst commissioner.
Cyrus: He's boring. Next villain please!!!
People who would go on the list but I'm on the fence about:
Michael: Get some flavor or get off the screen. Period. Like look at who his parents are and tell me why he can't just wild out.
Nina: I only want her here because I stan her and ava's friendship otherwise she and that damn necklace can go.
Molly/tj: I don't care about this secret ons sl that they've dragged out. Brolly don't have chem anyway. 💁
Dev: If they don't evolve him past his stalkerish behavior he can go.
Jax: I was glad when he returned but as months go by what exactly does jax bring to the show? He seems to be just there when him and nina aren't talking about that damn necklace and her child. He doesn't actively do anything.😂
Sam: At least have her doing some actual PI jobs. She doesn't have to be about jason 24/7.
Ned/olivia/brooklyn: I'm kind of tired of their endless repetitive drama. They've been fighting since last year 🙄
Brando: We'll see how his cyrus plan turns out but otherwise I don't really care about him. He's just basically being chem tested with everyone.
Characters they just need to come on here
lila rae alcazar: I've headcannoned her to be somewhat of a mix of faith and crazily enough brenda. She would be the new it girl.
Alec barrett: Some people want joss x cam together because they want to see how liz and carly are going to handle this but that fight would be way more tame in comparison if alec and joss started dating. Brenda would probably be somewhat amused but carly would definitely be fuming. 😂

Sevilla y el Día de la Mujer
Hey Everyone!
What a week it has been! Due to the coronavirus I began cancelling my spring break (to Italy and Greece) and decided not to book any other trips far in advance because many universities are pulling their students home from Europe and I don’t want to have to cancel more trips. Therefore, I did not start planning my trip to Sevilla this weekend until the Tuesday before, which made for a bit of a hectic week. However, my weekend was absolutely amazing!
Thursday night I took an overnight bus with a friend to Sevilla. It left at 1am (Friday morning technically) and got into Sevilla at 7:15 am. The bus was surprisingly comfortable and I actually slept a decent amount. We then went straight to our hostel Oasis, and even though it was too early to check in, they let us leave our luggage in a storage room, check out the rooftop terrace view
and gave us a suggestion for a cafe to get breakfast in that was very close. Then we walked around the neighborhood until the hostel’s free walking tour at 11:15. The guide for the tour was absolutely fantastic, and I learned a ton. We went to all the main tourist attractions in Sevilla and he explained many places I would not have otherwise known anything about. Of course we did not go inside the ones you have to pay for but he still told us some of the history. At the end it was clear we were expected to tip, which we were happy to do since the tour was so great, but it would have been nice if they had told us that at the hostel, just in case we didn’t have the right bills in cash. We then walked around Plaza de España, since the tour had ended there,
and our guide had given us some suggestions of where to take the best pictures based on the time of day and sun location.
Both of us were very excited about this plaza because Dorn in Game of Thrones was filmed here. Since our guide had given us a suggestion for a cheap lunch place, we went there and were very happy with the food and the prices.
After our lunch we went to the main cathedral. It was absolutely breathtaking and enormous.
Here’s a picture of me next to one of the pillars for a size comparison, we couldn’t even fit the ceiling in the shot so it’s still hard to tell just how massive this room is.
We also decided to walk up the tower, (which, according to our walking-tour guide, historically was rung five times a day, and so it was built with a spiralling ramp all the way up so the bell-ringer could ride a donkey up to the top) and the views were fantastic.
Apparently Christopher Colombus is buried in this church too, but there are many stories of him being buried elsewhere as well, however they do have a whole exhibit set up about it.
As our tour guide had recommended, it was much cheaper with a student ID and we also got entrance included to another big church in Sevilla which we went to the next day. After our very full day of walking we headed back to the hostel to check in and take a nap. The room was perfectly adequate and a great price, and had a little balcony as well. After our nap, we woke up and decided to go to the terrace on the roof of the hostel. We ended up making some friends with people we met having a guitar jam session up there, and hung out with them for the evening. The next morning we decided to go to the Alcazar early in the morning to maybe beat the line, and it really only took about half an hour of waiting for us to get inside. We walked around for a few hours inside (taking many pictures)
but what I enjoyed the most about the Alcazar were its surrounding gardens which were absolutely stunning.
And we also saw tons of ducklings running around in the gardens which was incredibly cute! And a peacock!
We walked around some more during the afternoon, and also went to the other smaller church, which was still huge and beautiful, and if I hadn’t just seen the main cathedral I would have been shellshocked again.
In the evening, we had dinner and went to a flamenco show at La Carbonería. We were not allowed to take photos or videos of the performers but it was absolutely fantastic. La Carbonería is not a traditional show where you buy a ticket and watch performers on a stage, but a group of performers in a pub. The entrance is free and it is incredibly amazing to watch. You can choose to buy drinks or tapas if you want, and the prices are very good but they only accept cash. Getting there early was essential so we were able to get good seats. After the show, we went to the bus station to catch the overnight bus back to Madrid. This was essential because we wanted to be back in time to participate in the 8M (March 8th) women’s march in Madrid.
This event is huge every year, even with the coronavirus concerns there were still around 120,000 people in attendance, blocking one of the main roads in Madrid. I met up with some friends in Retiro park first in order to make some signs together and walk to the event together.
Much like a football game in Ann Arbor, there are so many people in one area that cell service does not work well so it’s important to arrive with your group and not lose them. When we got to the march I was shocked by how many people were there, I’ve never been a part of something that huge before.
There were groups drumming, and people chanting, and tons of amazing signs everywhere.
Some of the buildings surrounding the march were lit up purple (the color symbolizing women’s rights in this march) in support of the march.
It was such an awesome experience to partake in a protest in a different language as well, and I had so much fun learning all the different chants.
Thanks for reading, have a great week!

DWAGONS
In order: Water, Fire, Earth, Air, Ice, Dark, Queen and King!
The Dark, Queen, and King are ones I’ve done this month, although I’m still figuring out exactly how the dark dragons will be coloured, but I’m happy with the base! The Queen and King Dragons are based on the winning designs from my 2015 design contest, with slight tweaks to better fit Alcazar. They might look like theropods, but they don’t follow the same anatomy, they’re also WAY bigger than shown here but this chart is more for anatomy comparisons rather than heights.
I still have a good dozen more to design but I’m please with how I’m doing! Might do the Emperor and Empress Dragons next, since I have a good grasp on their appearances.

ESC2019 Preshow #19
19. SWEDEN John Lundvik - “Too late for love?” SemiFinal 2, #08
youtube
As we speak journalists from all over the Euroverse are flocking around John Lundvik to ask very ancamfartable question to him: “Bigger Than Us really is your song or”? Poor man he probably doesn’t even remember that the demo was submitted to the BBC <3
ENTRY ANALYSIS
After the disaster that was last year’s Melfest, Christer VOWED to reinvent the competition and bring ~Quality~ this year. He... kept his promise I guess? He said it contained two songs which could WIN ESC and one of them won (after wiping the juries lmfao - Christer never rigs, ever). "Too late for love” nothing but an excellent showcase of Sweden’s musical expertise, but I’ll pass on dissecting it because a of all, I know very little of music theory and b of all, I don’t care what instruments are used in which order and in whether the clef is in C-minor or D-Moll or WHATEVER. The song isn’t nearly as important as what you do with it.
So I settle for an easy comparison and the netizens apparently loooooooove comparing “Too Late For Love” is “Nobody but you” for some reason (🌚). I can see why, but I disagree. They’re not that alike. “Too late for love” is better in every single way imaginable: It’s cheerful, it has a more consistent storyline, with a performer who isn’t dressed like your mom’s pilates instructor and doesn’t have awful tryhard arty-farty staging :-)
However, TLFL’s excellent use of musical theorems (I guess?) is also why I don’t love it. I like it, sure, why wouldn’t I? It’s a good song. However, that’s also *all* it is and Eurovision is so much more than a summation of perfectly executed technicalities. It’s about having *IT* and Lundvik doesn’t have *it* for me. TLFL lacks an identity beyond “This Is A Good Song”, which others in this category such as “Mercy” and “Running” had. BUT IS IT TOO LATE FOR LOOOOOOOVE? IS IT??
NF Corner
Mello was good this year!!! It’s nowhere near the level of 2012-2016 (definitely THE golden age of Melfest, at least for the years I’ve seen), but there was a lot of variation and it’s easy enough to find songs to root for.
(In a way I resent that John won because it’s *way* more rewarding to sink my teeth into any the other songs because they have more to offer in terms of camp and humour, but w/e that’s just me)
Starting off our batch for today’s NF corner is LINA HEDLUND of Alcazar fame:
youtube
A perfectly lightweight, timeless campy schlager anthem sung by a ~Glamourous Cougress~. We at BorisBubbles WORSHIP OUR COUGARS AND HAGS (Tamta <3 Tamta’s song </3) especially if adorned in a salmon-pink cape and a giant halo.
Even some of the NQ-fodder had merits: Meet Oscar En Lestat:
youtube
Lol he looks like he ran out of the set of “Interview of a Vampire: The Remake”. 😂 “I love it” has a pretty dope beat, and that’s without considering the plot twist that this song is about Oscar’s century old girlfriend. Like, seriously,
THAT’s where the styling ideas come from, right? He even uses her nail varnish lmfao stop I am DYING.😂 Anyway, is it any surprise to you this song finished LAST in its semifinal lmfao. Not even Sweden could get into it because they were too busy laughing their asses off <3 Hatrið mun sigra!!
But there was ONE entry I was absolutely smitten by. I don’t think any of you would disagree when I say that I absolutely ADORED Anna Bergendahl:
youtube
They say Anna was a broken arrow... well watch her as she shoots!!! There’s a fire on the horizon and this song is the spark: In three minutes it ERASES all of the festering dislike I had for “It’s my life” and makes me feel EXCITED whenever I hear the name ‘Bergendahl’. Like a top of the mountain, like a wishing well fountain, we were the luck of the draw to have witnessed the Anna Renaissance, fighting her way though Andra Chansen like a beacon before a fire, like a boxer before a fight, topping charts and coming out as her own here, only to be PAINFULLY jury snubbed. But she’s gonna live, she’s gonna die and she’s gonna BURN!!! ~Ashes to ashes and dust to dust and ashes to ashes again~
It would’ve been PERFECT had Anna been the bun of this decade’s Sweden Smörgås (preferably by qualifying and redeeming herself). There were several other entries I could potentially showcase here but this write-up is already getting way too long for my tastes, so let’s move on to:
Qualification Odds: Guaranteed Qualifier
Yes, obviously this qualifies? lol. I mean, it’s not even the name “Sweden”. TLFL would qualify for fucking Slovakia, that’s how good it is. It’s well-produced and well-performed [by a man], ergo it advances. Period.
Having said that, "Too late for love” lack of a concrete identity raises my concern. Most people, myself included, are lukewarm to it, which is nice not what wins Eurovision. You need to make people love you and well, I don’t think it’s too late for love (is it?), but Sweden need to something and they need to do it fast. I really want Sweden to do better than Robin and Frans now that they have an entry I actually LIKE but ugh how can I win when I lose? :sob: Notice that their odds haven’t shortened once since Lundvik won Melfest and that indicates to me they may not do as well as advertised...
Projected placement: 3rd-5th in the semfinal. After he qualifies, he’ll place between 5th and 10th in the Grand Final.

Synagogue of El Tránsito, Toledo, Spain. The synagogue was built in about 1356 by Samuel ha-Levi Abulafia, Treasurer to ruler Peter of Castile, and is famous for its rich, elaborate stucco decoration in the Mudéjar style, which bears comparison with the Alcazar of Seville, and the Alhambra in Granada.
In 1492, after the expulsion of the Jew from Spain by royal decree, the Synagogue came under the Order of Calatrava, who converted the building into a church serving a priory dedicated to Saint Benedict. In the 17th century the church's name was changed to Nuestra Señora del Tránsito, derived from the painting “Transit of the Virgin” by Juan Correa de Vivar, which is housed there. During the Napoleonic Wars it was also used as a military headquarters.
In 1877 the building became a national monument, and in 1910 the building was made into a museum, and now operates as the Sephardi Museum of Toledo, and is open to the public.
