In my AU, Alastor absolutely believes his thoughts about Vox are, like, objective fact and not opinions because CLEARLY anyone can SEE that Vox is the prettiest, best, most charming and beautiful mate in all of hell which means he HAS to be on the lookout for anyone trying to steal Vox from him because obviously everyone wants him

(I mean, is he wrong, tho? Exactly)

Alastor will just say the most unexpected romantic compliments to Vox without even thinking about it because he doesn't even register them AS compliments or flirting or anything, he's just stating objective facts - meanwhile Vox is overheating and needs to reboot his system
