"My Nightmare" is a short cartoon based on my dreams and unpleasant experiences, which I decided to realize here.

The main character is celebrating her birthday, but in dangerous conditions. Will she be able to get out despite her condition?

SR. LT. ALEKSANDRA AKIMOVA // SQUADRON NAVIGATOR OF THE NIGHT WITCHES

“She was a squadron navigator of the Night Witches, Russian lady bombers who bombed the hell out of German lines in WWII. They had the oldest and noisiest planes in the entire world. The engines used to conk out halfway through the missions, so they had to climb out on the wings mid flight to restart the props. The planes were also so noisy that to stop Germans from hearing them combing and starting up their anti aircraft guns, they’d climb up to a certain height, coast down to German positions, drop their bombs, restart engines mid air and get out of the dodge. She was one of the youngest navigators in the regiment, and excelled in the position. She helped train seven new navigators and by the end of the war, had made 680 combat sorties as navigator on a Po-2 biplane, for which she was nominated for the title Hero of the Soviet Union in May 1945. In 1994, she was awarded the Hero of the Russian Federation title for her actions in the war.”
