Shri Venkateshwara University School of Nursing held a fresher's party for the newly admitted nursing students.

The School of Nursing at Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute hosted Dream Fest 2025–a fresher’s party for the newly admitted students.

The university management welcomed new students, promising to prepare them for international opportunities and encouraging them to engage in national service.

At the event, the senior students presented an excellent cultural program that made the event memorable.

The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, CEO Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, & the Nursing Dean Dr Ana Erik Brown inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.

Later, the students danced to various Punjabi & Rajasthani dance songs that made the event worth mentioning. Then the students took part in the fashion parade ‘Ramp Walk’ that made the audience clap incessantly.

The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri complimented the new students for their bright future & exhorted them to give their 100 percent towards national service.

He said the NEP 2020 is exemplary because it offers tremendous employment opportunities to students of all streams. But there cannot be a humane and noble profession like nursing. The role of Nursing Professionals is no way less than that of doctors.

In the last 1 decade, the Venkateshwara Group has nurtured thousands of skilled nursing professionals in different areas.

It’s a matter of pride that our nursing professionals are working in reputed Hospitals/Health Centers in India & abroad. But we need to train our students according to the changing national/International demand so that they create a mark for themselves at international forums. The NEP 2020 strives to do the same.

The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi asserted in the last 1 decade our Nursing, Paramedical & Medical Professionals have a done a commendable job and made the country proud. We are committed to offer a stable & secure career to our nursing professionals.

Dr Ana Erik Brown, Principal School of Nursing, emphasized that the Nursing courses have a vital role in ensuring human health and wellbeing. Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute students have carved a niche for themselves at international forums.

Where will these bizarre turn of events take Saloni’s relationship and with which one of these two men will she finally end up setting up her happy family? I have heard pre-release speculations that this rom-com will spoil the mentality of the modern-day youth as it justifies open relationships. But after watching this film I must say that this happens to be a sort of an awareness rom-com rather than a movie which just justifies open relationships. If an ex-wife sees her ex-husband enjoying with other girls after their divorce, then the automatic human instinct may tell her to pursue other men and move on in life. That’s exactly what Saloni did after she saw social media posts of her ex-husband Akhil enjoying with an unknown woman. She forcefully made out with her boss Gurbir even when Gurbir was not ready for it. It’s just human instinct as you can see. But an unexpected twist in the tale happened after she had moved on. Her ex-husband came back to her and apologized for his deeds. So, the situation led her to make out with both on separate occasions. The best part about this rom-com is that it teaches us how to handle such bizarre situations. When it looked like Saloni would succumb to her destiny, the way her ex-husband handled the tense situation by making a major decision at the climax was indeed praiseworthy. It will leave you stranded with emotions and will also give you a hint of the true meaning of sacrifice. I must tell you, the screenplay is laden with twists that will churn your mind! Nowadays, Triptii as a lead actress has been gaining a lot of spotlight, especially after her pairing and fiery intimacy with Ranbir Kapoor in Animal. The cinematography of Bad Newz is pleasant and of good quality. Rather homely visuals, I must say. The editing was crisp. The movie didn’t stretch long and had an apt timing of 2 hours and 20 minutes. Some of the tracks in Bad Newz are ultra-rocking! I enjoyed the nostalgic tune of Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik’s “Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam” playing in the movie. It brought back the nostalgia of the 90s-era Bollywood songs. You may wonder why this legendary song is in this Hindi movie? Actually, this was supposed to be the title track of this film as its original title was decided as "Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam". However, it was later changed to "Bad Newz" before its release. “Husan Tera Tauba Tauba” from Bad Newz: Presenting Vicky Kaushal with his Groovy Dance! https://youtu.be/LK7-_dgAVQE?si=Q7kcWeVlP90zPZ1k The Bad: Bad Newz created a lot of pre-release controversy as people were claiming that this movie would negatively impact India’s conservative culture. Moreover, certain intimate scenes of Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri had to be censored and were omitted from the film before its release. I would like to ask the makers, why include such unacceptable scenes in the first place when you are aware of India’s conservative culture? Keep it family-friendly! Also, I was disappointed with Ammy Virk’s performance. Sardaars are stereotyped as either extremely funny like Santa and Banta or extremely aggressive like Tara Singh from Gadar. Over here, I was expecting to see the funny side of a Sardaar in the character that Ammy Virk was playing. But disappointingly, Saloni’s Sardaar boss-cum-boyfriend didn’t match up with the aura and personality of her ex-husband Akhil played by Vicky Kaushal. Throughout the movie, Sardaarji appears as if he is struggling to be comical and his expressions are lifeless. This Sardaar character lacked life to be precise which was not expected. Even during the most hilarious comical scenes between Sardaarji and Akhil, I was laughing at the witty punches thrown by Akhil and sadly, nothing much came out from Sardaarji. Honestly, if Vicky Kaushal was not there, this movie would have failed. Believe it or not, heteroparental superfecundation is a real deal! Bad Newz is said to have been inspired by true events where a rare incident of heteroparental superfecundation really happened in China. Analytical Application 1: Ideology and Culturalism

Alexa Loses Her Voice – Amazon Super Bowl LII Commercial

Definition: The ideological state apparatus is when institutions such as the media, education and churches coerce the masses to maintain their own position of the ruling class. For example, when a company such as Amazon pays absurd amounts of money to celebrities to act in commercials so people will buy their products.

Analysis: In the Amazon commercial “Alexa Loses Her Voice,” we see a woman brushing her teeth and receiving the weather from Alexa when Alexa, just as the title says, loses her voice. It quickly becomes a national emergency. In the next scene, Jeff Bezos is watching the news on the TV when a colleague approaches him and tells him Alexa’s replacements are ready. Gordon Ramsey, Cardi B, Rebel Wilson and Anthony Hopkins make cameos as new “Alexas.” Gordon Ramsey does what he does best by yelling at a guy for not knowing a recipe. Cardi B is asked how far away Mars is and she responds by questioning the validity of the question. Rebel Wilson makes a sexual joke about the Australian joke and Anthony Hopkins feeds a peacock. None of it makes any sense except for Gordon Ramsey yelling, but even then, all that matters is the presence of these four celebrities. Louis Althusser wrote about how the ideological state apparatus shapes the viewer's consciousness to accept the ruling class's ideology. Bezos is the perfect example of this as we see it with his public persona, commercials and movies. Amazon assumes that if celebrities are funny then people will buy the product. They are using their power and resources to manipulate the viewer into buying their product since celebrities must use it as well. Amazon has become a media company, with Jeff Bezos at the helm, that has an overabundance of money which allows Bezos to shower the public with his advertisements.

Definition: Aura is a work of art in time and space and the presence it amasses due to its uniqueness and singularity with the process it was made. Walter Benjamin wrote about how art was produced manually, but the invention of the printing press and camera has had a negative effect on what he calls “aura.”

Analysis: “The Greatest Gift” is a stop motion advertisement from Sainsburys where James Cordan sings a song in the background that is essentially narrating the commercial. The commercial begins with a man shutting off his alarm and getting ready for the day with his family. He takes the train for work and looks at his list of presents he has to buy for his family since Christmas is approaching. After work at the toy shop, he gets in the queue at the shop to buy the gifts. Fast forward and the commercial becomes a three minute ad about the importance of family. The aura of this commercial is due to its use of stop motion animation. Without it, the commercial would be just like any other Christmas ad about the importance of buying gifts for your family members. There's a certain authenticity to stop motion since it truly takes a significant amount of time to produce this type of animation. Walter Benjamin was very critical of films due to its use of retakes and cutting which he believes depletes the aura of a work of art. But, stop motion breaks his philosophy because of its delicate production process. It's difficult to appreciate something as genius as stop motion animation without seeing how they do it in person, yet that would be my only critique about its aura. Other than that, the authenticity of stop motion is immense. The audience can identify with the physicality of the art form since real miniatures and sets are utilized.

She's Always A Woman – John Lewis

Definition: Ideologies are ideals put in place by a ruling class to create a notion of a traditional way of life being superior. This creates labels and categories for people to live under which makes it so no one can truly feel they perfectly fit the mold of the ideology as it's impossible.

Analysis: Ideology is apparent in the John Lewis advertisement, “She’s Always A Woman.” It begins with a baby crawling as it smoothly cuts to her slowly getting older and experiencing all that life has to offer… for a woman. The commercial's message cannot be shrugged off as it's blatantly sexist and puts women into the category of motherly, instead of anything else. In most of the ad, the woman is married or pregnant and not actually doing anything for herself. So why is this a commercial for a British department store? I couldn't answer that. But, what the commercial does exceptionally well, is put people into a box. The ideology John Lewis is sharing is that mothers and grandmothers shop here for their families. Why doesn't the dad or grandfather shop there? Why doesnt anyone else shop there? The commercial has a clear target audience with traditional family dynamics. I also find it frustrating how they had to show a whole person's life in three minutes just to say, “shop at our store.” Louis Althusser wrote how ideologies compel people to fit within a specific role like what is shown in this ad. I agree with Althusser that ideology is ingrained in our society because traditionality is inescapable. Ideology is materialistic because this department store is spreading the message that you are living the right way if you grew up with our products. And the right way they are showing is a traditional family lifestyle that only applies to a specific target audience.

Thank You Mama – P&G

Definition: Culture industry is the equivalent of factories making meaningless goods such as Hollywood making a film just as entertaining as it is mediocre to sell tickets and gross millions of dollars. Horkhaimer and Adorno wrote about the culture industry and how films, radio and magazines demand has increased so there is a rush to release newer products resulting in lower quality.

Analysis: In the P&G commercial “Thank You Mama,” mothers from all over the world raise their children who eventually become professional athletes. The viewer is shown the ups and downs of the hardest job in the world. However, the commercial is still capitalistic manipulation, so the audience will buy its products. Horkheimer and Adorno wrote how the culture industry utilizes the commodification of cultures. Displaying mothers from countries such as Brazil, England and America is blatantly obvious that this company is exploiting people to ensure people empathize with the struggle of motherhood so they might buy Tide Pods. To maintain capitalist interests, companies must unify their products just as P&G created the illusion of a meaningful advertisement about feminism, just to endorse Tide, Pampers, Gillete and Duracell. Horkheimer and Adorno wrote how even though a commercial like “Thank You Mama” might appear to be artistic, in reality an ad like this is dependent on the industry and is just for the purpose of making more money. The commercial was made to please the consumer, not because P&G was so righteous it needed to share this message. They also spoke about the culture industry manipulating and homogenizing the masses, to maintain its capitalist power and wealth. It's wrong to make an important statement about the importance of something so significant like motherhood, just to slap logos at the end so people will buy what the brand is selling. It completely ignores the message the entire commercial was about. P&G was essentially saying, buy our stuff because you, the viewer, care about moms.

Tide Super Bowl Commercial 2018 It’s a Tide Ad

Definition: Dominant hegemonic position is when a message is decoded by the audience the way the creator indented it to. For example, people willingly accept the message of a piece of propaganda created by the ruling class which maintains the power dynamics in our society that keeps the upper echelon powerful.

Analysis: David Harbour drives in a silver automobile like Mathew McConaughey in every Lincoln ad. Harbour then appears at a sports bar and later in the ad, he is mocking local advertisements. All of this to say, “It's a Tide Ad,” over and over again. Tide utilizes its dominant hegemonic position by mocking commercials like a Lincoln ad or any other commercial. Tide is essentially punching down from its high horse that is able to afford a big celebrity like David Harbour to shape the audience's views and advertisement norms. Hegemony maintains a capitalist society because these massive companies have so much power on people and the culture that a simple commercial like “It's a Tide Ad” benefits Tides authority with market dynamics. Tide is contributing to public discourse while setting a precedent that it's superior to the other ads it's making fun of. Stuart Hall wrote how the viewer processes the intended meaning of a message as it was intended to. Hall also spoke about an alignment between the audience and the message because of a shared cultural background. The audience accepted the ideology of Tide because the commercial was displayed to the largest American audience during the Super Bowl. Even though hegemony is not inherently bad, dominant hegemonic positions still can set standards that have a negative effect on people and influence the public for the worse. Hall made an important discovery of the context of media and how it communicates to the audience, whether it's manipulative or positive. Bade Aache Lagte Hai 3 | Episode 5 | Heartbreak and Honeymoon

Priya is crying her heart out in Ram's guest bathroom. Ram is outside the bathroom thinking hisJaan is in. He is godsend at this point in time saying things which would make one believe in the love even for the one who have just experienced excuriating heartbreak. There was a beautiful moment when they both place their one hand on the bathroom door and Ram could sense her energy. She is after all yin to his yang. Ida to his pingala.

Heartbreak sucks. Every cell of your body claims the part it's missing making you feel alive and lifeless at the same time. Focusing on your breath and reminding yourself that thoughts or emotions come and go all the time. You can change your thoughts and emotions just like you created them. Emotions are stubborn of the two of them though. They like to take their own time. Ice cream and chocolates help too :)

It will passes though. Until then you have to feel what you are feeling head on. Let it know you are not scared of it. It is scared of you too. Let it test you, consume you, drain you. And it will release its cruel grip slowly but surely. Real changes take time.

I love how Priya's family is by her side in this. I consider her mum capable of displaying her sense of vanity even in sensitive moments like this. But was pleasantly surprised when she didn't. Her father was her rock as always.

Jaan informed the guard she was going to a 5 star hotel and to tell Ram he will get the bill. Drama runs in the family. Ram was pissed learning Jaan had to take an auto. All 8 cars of the house were not available courtesy house occupants other than owner and one closest to the owner. Shardul had to call the cab for Ram. At a signal, a person selling bouquets on streets requests Ram to buy one. The one that Ram bought was handed over to Priya by the florist per Ram's request to give it to someone who requires it. Helping her second time unknowingly to get through this difficult day.

Ram found Jaan eating vada pav in an eatery from their struggle days. They were laughing, eating, reminiscing, singing in no time like nothing happened. They pull each other's leg by addressing each other as King and Queen Kapoor. Super sweet. About the song, it was Zindagi ki yahi reet hai. Classic. And was revealed in this conversation that Jaan is diabetic.

Cut to next scene where Ram is WFH which Jaan refers to as WWF. Cute. Ram is testing a feature to deliver food within 10 mins to their customers. Testing is happening in 2 cities Bangalore and Mumbai. Love these small details the writer's adds. Bangalore is the center of high-tech industry in India. Any new feature has to be rolled out there first. It makes sense. Bangalore has a special permanent place in my heart.

There was a sweet conversation between Shonalika, aka Sona by Ram, where she asks him to promise her he won't give Akhil a job in his office should her father request him the same. It's because her brother hires based on the candidate's capabilities and she didn't want him to break rules for her, explains the sister sweetly when questioned by her even more sweet brother. Shona has a foreign accent.

Ram has not met Akhil just yet.

The honeymoon period is on the full swing for Alika who is preparing spineless Yuvraj for the upcoming father's visit. Ew. Ram was surprised with this piece of information but wishes him the best.

It's June now of the same new year Ram and her Priya met. Priya was not shown during the time lapse then symbolizing there was nothing worth mentioning in Priya's life during that period. She just cried her heart out and just about existed.

It's raining outside symbolizing the season change/new beginnings. Both Ram and Priya are watching it.

Kriti takes a rain check on Ram and her plan. Red flag. Considering this alone in isolation is not but putting it in context with everything else is. She is the emotionally unavailable one in this relationship. But there is not a single authentic conversation of how it's making them drift apart. And both are at fault for this.

Priya still loves rain. It puts a big smile on my face. She promises herself no more shedding tears for that spineless Yuvraj. Attagirl.
