Sorry to hijack this post, but I feel like this had to be added.

There’s this manga called Kanawanu Koi no Musubikata (sequel called Tsunaida Koi no Kanaekata and spin-off/manga related /prequel Akai Ito No Shikkou Yuuyo) where they talk about this.

Kamisawa has the power to see the strings to connect people and have the power to manipulate all of them with the exception of the red string (love one) because even if he can cut it, there’s a factor of nurturing that can make it reapead (Akai Ito No Shikkou Yuuyo).

Those mangas are fully BL/yaoi, so of course romance is a key element. However, Kumisawa doesn’t have his red string connected into someone and he struggles to form romantic loves because he knows people will leave him behind. They explore the concept of wanting and knowing that it’s your other half despite not having that string connected to each other.

As an aromatic who has a screwed up relationship with romance and the concept of soulmates, what I liked about this manga they portrait te red string, but soulmates as a general concept, as something you have to work. It is not granted that you can have your happy ending. You have to work for it.

heyo! this isnt an aro culture is ask, but i want to ask for some help! I'm working on some concepts for a webcomic i'd like to create one day, "the love death of ava ohlmes" it's about ava, a girl who is born with a magical ability called "seeing" seers are individuals who can see soulmate threads. (think: those red strings in soulmate stuff all the time) Except all the threads she finds don't lead to true love. She's aromantic and possibly aspec, and i would really love to see what other aromantic people think of this story idea, and if there's anything about this (especially about the way i handle the concept of soulmates) that i should avoid? I have some ideas already, but i don't want to rant and bore you with it hahaha... thank you for reading this though!!

(sorry it's taken so long to post this. i'm going to otherwise post without comment due to a personal boundary of discomfort with any soulmate related content)

I AM TOTALLY BESIDE MYSELF RIGHT NOW.

I KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO BE GOOD BUT-

I DIDN’T KNOW THAT IT’LL BE THE BEST???

I’m not going to talk much about the plot here since everyone knows that it’s amazing so I’ll be jumping straight into the technicalities now. 👌

After Saitou Soma’s seme stint in Kakkou no Yume, I was completely convinced that he just wasn’t cut out to be a seme so I was very apprehensive in listening to this. Had it not be Akaito that he was doing, I might not have picked this up honestly. His Mafuyu just manages to pop out in every role he has done so far whether it be a seme or uke role. 🤷 

But I’m glad that I did.

BECAUSE YO BOY TURNED OUT TO BE A FUCKING G???

He was PERFECT for Hiro’s role. I can’t think of a better seiyuu for him after finishing the CD. I DID NOT HEAR MAFUYU ANYWHERE. I’m suddenly worried about Furukawa Makoto’s Uenoyama ass. Man, when he whispered Keiji-san’s name into his ear-

I wonder how Nakajima Yoshiki handled that with a straight face. 😂 

So yeah, we’ve got excellent voice work and chemistry - the mattress mambos were so cute and 🔥🔥🔥. Please have a glass of water nearby. 😂 I was really pleasantly surprised with how great this casting turned out. Good on you, Brilliant Prin. 👏

I almost forgot to put Eguchi Takuya’s name up in the cast because I’m steadily praying for there to be a CD adaptation for Kanawanu Koi no Musubikata too! And if it becomes a reality then Eguchi Takuya’s going to be the uke ofc!  😭😭 😭 I wonder who’s going to be the seme??? What if they choose Furukawa Makoto??? 😱 Uenoyama getting back at Mafuyu??? 

This was a pretty good adaptation in all fairness. I was literally squealing and convulsing while listening to it - it’s that attention grabbing lol. There are some parts of the manga that they have cut out and other parts which they just added in but, nothing really that changed the story. Reading the manga along with listening to the CD is definitely possible and for all of you new to the CD scene, this’ll be a good learning experience. 👌

I would definitely recommend this to everyone who’s a fan of the series. I hope y’all enjoy it like I did. 😂
