Aging is an inevitable, natural part of life. Yet, the manner in which it is approached makes all the difference in one's experience and self-perception. Aging gracefully has nothing to do with the way time is avoided but everything to do with accepting the changes occurring in the body and mind in a positive, acceptable, and loving manner. Body positivity is on the forefront, teaching you how to love your body regardless of age or your appearance. The following are important tips on the celebration of body positivity as one ages:
1.Shift Your Perception Towards Aging The first step toward graceful aging is to change your perception of the aging process. Society always sets its focus on youthfulness, but aging must be celebrated with life experiences. Every wrinkle, gray hair, or alteration in your body is a mark of wisdom, strength, and the several moments that shaped who you are.
2. Practice Self-Love and Compassion Body positivity begins with loving yourself at every stage of life. This means acknowledging your body for all it has done for you. Practicing self-compassion is not judging yourself according to the standards of others but accepting and appreciating your own unique journey.
3. Focus on Health, Not Perfection Although a person may change his/her external look over time, his/her health needs to be intact. Try to feel energetic and capable, instead of seeking an ideal appearance. Physical activities should be fun and nourishing food must be taken. Also, mental health has to be focused on as the individual grows older.
4. Beauty standards need to be challenged The media would always make such beauty standards in relation to the youth, while the truth about beauty is above age. 7. Create a Supportive Environment Surround yourself with positive people who would encourage you towards body positivity and aging . It can be friends, family, or a community of fellow people who think like you; the point is, it all boils down to having someone support you through and through. In embracing your body, you help others embrace their own bodies too.

In the process of life, a human has different stages like childhood, adulthood, and old age. Strength and capabilities will change according to the age. In this article let us explore the things and precautions to be done in old age to lead a healthy, joyful, and blessed life.

Maintaining a Healthy diet style is very important in older ages. You should intake food with higher nutritional value and fewer calories. Include vegetables, fruits, brown rice, fibrous foods, etc in your diet. In older age, our body needs a good amount of calcium, and consuming food supplements like milk, eggs, and green leafy vegetables makes bones strong. Avoiding foods with cholesterol has a very good impact on maintaining a healthy body. What you take is what reflects having healthy food results in a healthy life. 
Maintain regular food timing. Along with having good and healthy food, it is also essential to take it at the right time. On aging variations in food timing will cause some uneasiness in the body. Fix a regular breakfast, lunch, and dinner timing to maintain a stable senior lifestyle.   
Regular Exercise
Regular exercise can keep your body lighter and more active. According to Medline Plus, movement of the body for at least 30 minutes a day can improve your health. It even has the power to keep you away from chronic diseases like heart disease, cancer, and diabetes which are the leading causes of death in the United States.
Balanced exercise can strengthen your body consult the healthcare provider before starting it. Exercise improves your mental health it helps you reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Take care of both mind and body to lead a balanced life.

Schedule regular health checkups with a doctor, dentist, and eye specialist do not neglect yourself. Regular consultants will give you feedback on health so that you can manage to make it normal and also prevent upcoming diseases. Sleep routine and Immunization
Schedule a fixed and regular sleep routine of seven to eight hours every day. Sometimes it varies due to your morning routine and also the tiredness, even some people tend to sleep at day time which might lead to being awake late at night. 
Immunization and timely vaccination to prevent illness and protect for harmful diseases is important. In older age immune system of the body will be weak and can be easily affected by diseases so precautions are necessary.

Self-esteem refers to how we carry or perceive ourselves. It is observed that self-esteem is high in adulthood when compared to old age. Self-value or self-confidence is important at all ages. It is seen that people with good health and better income possess self-esteem at older ages.
