There are variations of autistic confusion when it comes to changing and evolving special interests.
The autistic confusion when suddenly something decides to briefly become a special interest out of nowhere.
Vs
The autistic confusion when that something does not make sense because they are a pair of villains in a very bad relationship when you almost exclusively have interests around strong, good and storied female characters but then they throw the gay at you and suddenly you are trying to persuade your partner that they need a green dress at the very least for a con in a couple weeks time… dammit marvel, stop feeding me characters!!

hey so yesterday a really wanted to focus on any other thing rather than the news and i remembered that this was the first wednesday without Agatha All Along
so as any other sane person would do
i busy myself trying to do the bracelet (you know the one from episode 5 when they played the ouija)
and i thought (like the fool i am) that if the video i watched was 16 minutes long i could do it in the whole afternoon (bc i had never made a bracelet like this)
and i finded pretty similar colors,
begun to follow the tutorial,
realised after like 6 rows in that i only took the first video that appeared in youtube and the pattern on the 144pixels image that i found was diferent,
unstich everything (bc i was not going to continue nor was i going to waste materials),
re do,
got like 8 rows in,
did not like it,
unstich,
re do,
kinda like it,
7 rows in,
trying to not mess up,
oh fuck it's really late i can't see,
*whole other daily activities*,
finishing the bracelet and be satisfied with the result
so here it is

I’m bingewatching 999 playthroughs again because it has become my Homework Background Noise this year and so I of course have several AUs percolating. The ORV one will have to wait to be revealed because I ALSO just got a jolt of girl genius inspo.
Anyway. The hardest person to cast is always the Akane of the group—she’s dead. She’s alive. She burned in an incinerator when she was twelve years old and she saw through time to save herself. She’s the mastermind, she’s the victim, she’s the love interest. She’s shrödingers cat and chekov’s gun and the ship of theseus. How much is a lie? Who is she? Is she simply playing her part to keep the timeline stable? Does Akane Kurashiki have free will or does she simply don a mask and play her part?
But with Girl Genius, it’s almost too easy. It’s Anevka. A girl in a box. Is she dead or is she alive? If she says all the right things and we can’t tell the difference between her and the mask, is the mask a real person or is it just an executed series of programs? How much of her can you change before she’s no longer herself? Does the process of saving her own life change her into a stranger?
Anevka Sturmvoraus dies on a boat when she’s twelve years old. Her brother mourns. Her best friend never sees her again. Anevka Sturmvoraus makes it off the boat, except she can’t make it off the boat until nine years have passed. Agatha Heterodyne wakes up in a flooding cabin with a 5 on the door and a numbered bracelet on her wrist. It has to happen this way.
Anevka already saw it.

Ohhh my gods THANK YOU FIRST OF ALL FOR WRITING ALL OF THIS??
Agatha is an INCREDIBLYY COMPLEX CHARACTER AND IT MAKES ME SAD WHEN PEOPLE JUST GO "Agatha bad evil villain, she has no emotions >:(" like. There is more to it than that, there always has been.
While I may have never touched the comics or heard of agatha before Wandavision, she has become one of the most cherished marvel characters in my heart out of everyone else (with some exceptions) because of how she is. She's perfect character-wise, she has depth, she has complexity, she's like an actual person with thoughts and feelings.
(I want to agree to literally everything you've said but by bit but you wrote SO MUCH (thank gods) and I do not have the patience for myself like that)
AND AAUGH THANK YOU FOR MENTIONING THE STAN FIGHTING?? Like I was (and still am) a hardcore wanda defender and i just... agghd I think the subtle hints of agatha being sapphic in wandavision is what got me interested in her, and THEN THEY DROP AGATHA ALL ALONG ON US? OH MY GODS I FINALLY FEEL HOPE IN BEING A LESBIAN. I'm young, I know that, I've realized that I figured it out so much earlier than others have in their life, having representation like this IN A POPULAR FRANCHISE MEANS. EVERYTHING. TO. ME.
Wait wait wait a little detail about that: when they're on the ouija board, you can see two lesbian-colored bracelets on agatha's right wrist. Just needed to point this out (BECAUSE I CANT SHUT ABOUT THE COSTUMING DEPARTMENTTTT AAUUAGGHH)
I just needed and wanted to thank you for writing all of what you did, again. I don't remember the last time a series got my adhd riddled brain's attention like this.
I notice things, like if I am invested in something like this I Will Notice Patterns, Behaviors, and Motifs like fucking crazy. It's just hard for me to put them into the proper words without having a way to physically point them out, which is not easy to do if it happens like two or three episodes apart. The aspect ratio NOT CHANGING. The way everyone was acting Off. The salem seven starting off the episode but then Not Being There.
When I first watched it, everything felt OFF TO ME. I had to rewatch it twice that day to make sure I wasn't hallucinating just how weird it was making me feel.
WAIT WAIT THE BILLY THING. It felt forced, dropped like you said! Agatha's reveal was cool and intense! His was just "hey I wond-WHAT DO YOU MEAN-" yes it was cool, yes he's confirmed to be wanda's kid now, but that isn't the main focus of the show? Unless you're talking about how Utterly Betrayed Agatha feels now. She's putting up those walls and slipping the mask back on to both protect herself and to just become what others are always telling her to be.
Aaaaaaggghh I fear the obsession has me intensely for this show, currently rewatching wandavision just to get more of agnes/agatha in my system while impatiently waiting for wednesday...
I will be talking about AAA Episode 5 here so if you don’t want spoilers, don't read. This also is very long. So buckle in…
Right. I will put it into facts and theories and then my actual emotions on what has come out of this. Becausem god... But we will get to that.
Fact: that episode was off. What do I mean by off? I’ll tell you:
BIG ONE: the aspect ratio didn't change. First time this happened for a trial. This is a stylistic choice to tell us it’s wrong
Another big tell: the witches road is going down. Every trial they exit going DOWN. HERE THE EXIT WAS UP
Many people have pointed out how out of character they all are. And my friend gave a great sentence: “They are what Agatha fears”. Jen becomes vile. She is usually a bitch (love you girl) but she was down right horrendous. And after the whole endearing speech in her own trial. I can maybe reason at the end when she was reasoning that Agatha was the problem. But every other time she spoke it was with such viciousness when they were all laughing together mere hours ago. And LILIA AND ALICE! They have never talked like this. Agatha has helped Alice and she wants to ‘humiliate her’? Lilia immediately turned cold and dark? It felt like it was too quick. I would get it if there was build up but Rio outright said Agatha was scared. So to treat her like that isn’t right.
The trial itself. We’ll talk about the building. I’ve looked back and there is no moon engravings on the door. Yes there is the window BUT there are no other references to the moon when every trial has an abundance. And it was not complex. It was just… do ouija, talk to a ghost and leave. Which leads onto my next point
What the actual fuck was that trial?!? Every other trial has been about uplifting these witches. This trial only uplifted Billy. That's not fair. If this was agatha’s (only) trial then it was to literally punish her and leave her with her abusive mother. I know we laugh and go ‘oh yeah Evanora bad’ no. If you don’t understand abusive parents you will not understand HOW BAD that is. Its not being told ‘yeah you should have died’ over and over. I fully believe that Evanora beat her or at the very least was so emotionally abusive that even Rio (and if you know who Rio is then you’ll want to k ow I want to stress that name) literally screamed at her. Rio is most likely the only person Agatha has confided in with what happened. And that's just talking about it. So clearly Evanora is horrible on a degree greater than most parental figures we have seen in marvel.
So to have Agatha’s trial be A) The shortest B) just to punish her C) Everyone suddenly acts the way she fears
Because back to my first point: its all what she fears: everyone she is getting close to turns on her, she accidentally kills one and feels pleasure in the magic but you can see how taken aback she was (I'm not even going to because people saying she did it all on purpose and rebelled in the death needs to actually get checked by a doctor my god, if you can't understand the very obvious drugs metaphor for a morally grey character you may need to rewatch), being left with her mum because her mother was right, Billy being like Wanda, more powerful than Agatha, and punishing her. All of it was exactly what she feared
And the reveal was… well Agatha is the smartest one there. She is my girl… but it was kinda dropped.
And he just has magic… and has a crown. This will be explained next episode but… no there is a bigger part to this. Think about Agatha’s, now THAT was a reveal. The drama, the build up. There were hints throughout the ENTIRE episode. This was dropped. There were hints to him being nick. That’s it. It will be explained next episode but
It was the shortest episode. Just no
There were Westview and Eastview flags above the door… for Agatha? Nah
Everyone just… got over Alices death I mean Agatha looked more upset than Lilia and Jen. I mean, I guess its the most explainable part, maybe they came to the harsh realisation but SOMETHING was wrong
And I would like to state now, Agatha is a BAD PERSON. But she is STILL A PERSON OH MY GOD. We literally saw that in WV. Jac HERSELF said that Agatha wants colleges and friends. Not above power but you could see on her face, you can see in the way she was staring at her hands and- Christ I didn't think people would be oblivious. You could see that so clearly. It was not even a ‘read into it’, she was upset. Whether it was for killing Alice OR because she couldn’t control it again is up to you but she was upset. She is a bad person, and that's why I love her. At the end, she realises that no one is on her side (but Rio but she wasn’t there) and she puts all the masks back up. She becomes horrible because she has just been reminded of EVERY BAD THING that has ever happened (her childhood and nick) and accidentally, once again, killed someone and felt good about it. But this time she knew Alice was helping her. She can be both upset and enjoyed the physical sensation, they can both exist. And that’s the complexity. She is a bad person and you should not be surprised when she does bad stuff, but she does also feel things…
It’s a drugs metaphor. If you need it spelt out, Magic is her drug. She has been put on a cold stop, she now has nothing. It's like, let's take something pg, if you loved eating incredibly sweet things and then suddenly don’t eat anything with sugar in. Losing all of her magic must feel horrible on an atomic and spiritual level. So Alice attacked her and the rush of euphoria after being left with NOTHING hit her as she was being possessed. Evanora left her body and she couldn’t come to her senses because of how euphoric it felt. After having nothing against her will she finally feels something. And then it stopped and you can see the confusion and shock. She can both have enjoyed it and regretted how it hurt Alice at the same time. Because the lesson has never been ‘Agatha is a downright terrible person’ and if you think that you're watching the wrong show. She is a dark character. At the end, she shuts off all her emotions and goes back to what everyone thinks anyway, her safety blanket: being horrible, being the villain and pushing everyone away. If you believe she truly loved that she killed Alice or that she felt no remorse, I will be nice and stop swearing. But rewatch. Because that's not what happened. And the mask only came on when she realised the one person there who was standing up for her (except Rio) now sees her the same as everyone else and realises he is connected to Wanda, I don't blame her for being a bitch! And what a great bitch she was! Kathryn, you are a goddess-
Anyway. Lets stop collapsing her character. She is a bad person but she is a person. She did want to get closer to these women and she did feel bad. Kathryn did not act her ass off there for people to strip it of any emotion.
Right, so, theories because this episode can't be this off for no reason.
Someone said it was a vision. I don’t think so. Good theory but Alice did die. Rio stayed behind (and anyone who knows who she is will know why). I think that did all happen but not the way it should have
Someone said when Lilia removed her hands it let lose a spirit. It didn’t. Agatha didn't start the ritual because she said “Mother maiden crone”. She said it out of turn to not start it
Theory 1: Evanora ruined it. So, someone said that it should have been nick to talk and I slightly agree. Or at least, it shouldn’t have gone that way. Evanora put new rules into the trial. It should have been Agatha fighting through it or something (kinda loose here) but she turned it so that Agatha had to stay with her. Don’t mind this theory but it doesn’t explain why everyone was a bit whack and that ending. Also, the of character stuff only happens after she removes her hands and its her fear. Did Evanora affect how she sees things? Hmmm
Theory 2: This was someones vision. I mean… maybe? But what happened at the end was real because we see them covered in mud later. I think there is mental trickery but not all of it.
Theory 3: kind of my theory that I'm slightly alright with. This was all warped by something. By the seven. I'll explain
They are fighting. What a brilliant scene. But then they fly through a crowd of insects left by vertigo. Alright here is the factor. The Salem seven are finally joining the story and they are just… left? They are just there and then leave them alone? We know they can go around trials because they went around Alice’s so why not wait on the other side for them? Why be so utterly pathetic. If these are the ‘worst’… fuck me because Lilia was harsher in that trial than they were.
Now here is where my autism kicks in and my dedication to knowing everything about Agatha comes in handy: Vertigo is the leader of the S7. She is the insect lady. In the comics, she has telepathy on a level that can incapacitate and make them see things. She is ‘the mind’. Now my friends comment made it click for me, this is what Agatha would perceive as her fear. And it only really kicks in when she removes her hands.
We see her flick a lot of bugs off of her. She is the first one through the bug crowd and clearly the ones most attacked by them. I mean none of the rest have them on them as they enter the trial but they are all over Agatha. So, there's my proposition
What if the bugs affected her mind slightly? What if they adjusted her mind ever so slightly to see her fears OR equally it affects all of them but her the worst. I may even stretch it to say they orchestrated the whole thing. Because its the third trial and it skips right to blood moon AND it’s about Evanora right when they come in, the leader of the coven they are daughters of? Too many coincidences.
This explains a lot. Maybe also with how Billy and Rio are the least affected. Billy was at the back so didn't get hit and Rio is… well Rio.
And everything is attached to her fears: everyone hates her after they were being nice, Billy turns on her and becomes more powerful and punishes her over her mistake, Rio isn't there when it happens, her mother being right. EVERY SINGLE WEIRD THING aligns with her deepest fears. So it has to be directed at her.
Theory 4 that attaches to this slightly: so lets ay this is true and explains the behaviour. We have now TWO options in my mind:
A) The trial wasn’t a real trial
B) The trial isn't over
For A, the Salem seven could have affected it? Maybe? Maybe made it themselves to purposely break them up. I think their whole gambit is to tear them apart to pick them of so Agatha is left alone. So a lot can be explained through that. Also explains the aspect ratio, this is a part of the road
For B, It says that the end is when it clicks goodbye. The trials aren't affected by what happens to the people, its what happens to the danger. Here, nothing was completed. Alice died… and that's it. The ghosts business wasn’t completed. They failed because nothing was done. And what was the objective?!? Every other trial was to uplift each witch or to complete something. In the first, they got poisoned. They solved the poison. Second, stuck in a room with a curse. Killed the curse. Third, ghost appears, ghost… abuses the main character and only leaves after showing Agatha she was right. There was no objective. And at the end, nothing was completed. They distracted Agatha, after a fucking poor performance by Jen and Lilia. They had ages to try and wretch Alice away or stop Agatha and they stood there. And he said it too late. The 0 hit just as he said it. And then they heard Nick’s voice. The trial was still happening. The ouiji was still open. They didn’t accomplish anything.
The door unfolds way too late too. All the others, the exit appears mere seconds after. This took too long. And after Alice dies. That wasn’t the point. And IT GOES UP. It mostly likely responded to them failing OR it wasn’t real. This whole thing is not right. So I think they didn’t do anything. I think the actual trial will continue, maybe connected to the weird morgue room we see later with purple hues. Idk but it either wasn’t agatha’s real trial or it wasn’t completed. No way this was it. I prefer B out of both
Theory 5: love this one. My friend explained it better than I can so here we are,
Tumblr media
And to add, it was Agatha’s idea to summon people to the road. I know nothing happened with Rio but Rio is an exception (spoiler once again). The seven aren't. So the seven came on BECAUSE of Agatha, this could add to it
Because also… all of them just disregarded all the rules the entire time.
Theory 6: It wasn’t her trial. It was Billy’s. Honestly don't hate it given his spirit is from Wandas kids and blah blah idk. Kind of fits
Right so we all know that this whole thing was wack and will have an explanation later? Great! Onto my opinions. Lets start off with what I loved:
Kathryn.Fucking.Hahn. Her uncomfortability as they ‘ouija’ (not a verb, hehe), her humour at the beginning, the look of longing on the brooms, her hurt at her mother, her confusion and conflicting over Alice, and the end. THE FUCKING END OH MY GOD GET HER AN AWARD. THAT CHUCKLE. The chuckle made my bones chill. It was outstanding.
Rio this episode was the best she has been. Her defending Agatha. Ooooo you know that’s right.
I loved the broom scene. And their opinions. Agatha is more powerful than a broom. Its ‘undignified’ as she says. Lilia hates the stereotypes. Rio along for everything. Jen and Alice too. It was great
Alice. My girl… the way you could see her immediately soften when Evanora said it. She literally screamed for her to stop and tried to save her. Love you Alice. I know you coming back somehow because in the very first trailer we see a scene of her in a purple lit empty room. Can’t wait to see you again girl
The parallels between Alice and Agatha too. Alice’s discovery was that her mum was better than she thought. She was protecting her. Agatha’s is that she is worse. Even after centuries she is asking others to kill her. What a twat.
All the actors were phenomenal. That's a given
The entire thing looked beautiful
That whole talk with Evanora was heartbreaking. And clearly so much had happened and Evanora was clearly a terrible terrible person. And when someone said it mirrored homophonic religious parents my hear shattered. So good. Just so so good
I don't mind knowing rio’s spoiler now because it's an explanation on such a mysterious and… confusing episode. I like spotting the things now. One thing that makes sense 😭
What I am about to say is not a reflection on Joe. Although I did giggle because… well when Kathryn is giving an award winning evil performance and acting circles around everyone after such a devastating scene… eh I won’t make a joke. But I think he is a great actor and Billy is a good character. He's not my favourite. When you have an entire show of women I will only look at them. I will say the ‘BILLIE’ Eillish song at the end was a good touch. That aside I didn’t mind the reveal. I am excited to see what he looked up for Agatha in the flashbacks next episode. I’m just not fused about him 🤷‍♀️ not everyone has to love every character. I only care about him in relation to Agatha
Right, criticism now, and I hate criticizing this show. I have never done it properly before for this show because I haven't found anything to criticise, so the fact I'm doing this shows how weirded out I was. Most of this is based on people though:
Why the fuck was it so short. This must mean the other episodes are much longer but to have Agatha’s trial, real or not, and the centre episode the shortest? I didn't like that
These are now about the people
My own personal annoyance: we are now going to have to have a whole week of having to now focus on Billy when so much Agatha trauma was there. I knew billy would have his spotlight but now for everyone talking about the episode, that is the only thing that they will focus on, instead of everything else. But I can deal with that because I won't be focusing on it, because to me it is not the important part of the episode. My own annoyance is explainable and irrelevant.
I theorise on what I like. I will not be focusing on Billy unless it relates to Agatha. So I am not mad about that, it just ticks me off it happens in the episode they finally show a bit more of Agatha’s backstory
Right, my complaint about people. Fuck all of you saying that ‘this show has finally gotten good’ because billy has been revealed. Genuinely fuck you. Because once again, and I'm shockingly surprised because a LOT of these people saying billy is the only good part are coming from Wanda stans on twitter. But whatever. People are allowed to be a bit annoyed that, from surface level, 1) ‘Agatha’s trial’ episode was the shortest and then revolved around Billy in the end 2) people are allowed to criticise what happens. They should never hate on Joe, but I have seen people send threats over some people saying they don’t like billy. It is a fair criticism for some people to say that they don’t like that the one man that is is now going to get the attention of this episode
Also very mild proof that this is happening:
Tumblr media
Right, point two about how people have reacted and this is real. This is Stan feud, I’m not a child. I like hoes acting. I liked heartstopper and I think he’s doing great. This is about real life consequences: that fucking article. If you have been on Twitter you most likely know what I'm talking about. But a magazine article published an article saying “Billy has made MCU history” and the only article about Agatha, you know the MAIN CHARACTER with a ROMANTIC STORY WITH ANOTHER WOMAN, was basically saying “Are they gay? Hm I don't know”. And then, they released ‘all the gay characters in MCU’ and LEFT OUT AGATHA. FUCK YOU SINCERELY. This is why so many women struggle with coming out. Because no one takes us seriously. His boyfriend had been mentioned ONCE ON A FUCKING PHONE and he’s making history when the entire C plot of this show is about Agatha and her ex-wife and her relationships with them all. Fuck you. People in my life ask me why it took me so long to figure out I was gay. It's because of this. People don't take us seriously and this is EXACTLY what a lot of us feared. Billy, yay, amazing. I like that they are showing him a bit more. I want all of these characters fleshed out. But now, everyone's reactions to it are reinforcing that we are not taken seriously by the wider world, including some of the queer community. Agatha’s whole B plot is about her and Rio. And it was so beautiful in this episode. And even if you aren't interested in the romance, Agatha’s story was amazing! Painfully short but amazing! But now people only want to focus on the man. It's one thing to fear it because originally I dismissed it. But everything that has come out since then has reaffirmed this fear queer women hold. That sapphic relationships will NEVER be taken as seriously and will always be secondary to men. So fuck all of you contributing to that. Truly fuck you
Breathes in, breathes out okay. Rant over. I can just ignore these things. And I am. Its just infuriating to be reminded.
But in the wait, this feeling for many will get worse especially because some of you stans are reinforcing it. I think Billy is fine. I think his backstory will be interesting. But I saw someone try to theorise and someone said ‘Who the fuck cares. Billy is finally here to save the show’. It’s one thing to have a favourite character, it's another to do all of this
On the other side, people who are attacking Joe, that is not fair. Every character will have their spotlight. My critique is that it takes away from Agatha’s trauma this episode a lot but it is not his fault. So let’s never attack the real people
Also if you like his character, amazing. I like that every character is full rounded. But if people have genuine critiques, don’t be mad. People can have opinions. Just as don’t attack people for like him.
Let’s just be nice. Some of you need to go back to preschool “lets treat others how we want to be treated” my god
Rant over. Yay
Thank you to anyone who is still reading. I hope this bring to light a lot of the ‘off things’ with it and maybe show some opinions. I needed to rant because my god some of the things I've seen… But conclusion: everything is wrong. Its one thing for people to be out of character. Its another for the whole trial system to be fucked, the S7 sidelined again, Billy etc. Its wrong on purpose.
I think I will only form an actually feeling in this episode when I see the next one that will explain everything. I need an explanation to say whether I like it or not. But I will say, the other 4 are to me some of the best things ever produced ever. I want to desperately love it but I need to wait.
Anyway, hopefully now that the emotions have died down we can all start theorizing based on that. Here is my attempt haha
I would love to hear any ideas or thoughts! Just please be nice. I'm fragile haha
Your reward for reading to the end: Agatha and Rio being gay

THE FIRST TO BREAK
agatha harkness x reader x rio vidal
NSFW! when they can’t decide who indulges you more, agatha and rio find a way to settle it in competition. based on this ask i got. 1.3k words. i might have written this at 7am (that’s my excuse if it’s bad <3).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rio’s arms rest looped around your waist as you stand at the stove. Her head rests on your shoulder as she watches you work, as you pour herbs and spices into a pot —you got up early, stalking through the kitchen to create something to prevent the illnesses that will be coming with winter soon. You use your witchcraft in the way of herbs, a potion witch as they would call you.
“You don’t need any of this,” Rio whispers. She watches you stir, and her arms around you grow tighter. “I’m not taking you from illness.”
You smile softly. You’ve tried to explain to her before that it’s not just about life and death, but discomfort — how much life resembles the gleaming, shifting ideal of thriving. She is still learning, it’s a concept too human for what is ancient, for Death.
“You’re going to keep her alive forever,” Agatha’s voice rings out into the gentle silence of the kitchen as she speaks to Rio. You turn slightly in Rio’s grasp to look over at her, and as she pours a coffee for herself Agatha raises her eyebrows at you accusingly. “Don’t break my favoritism streak.”
You shake your head. “I’ll try.”
Rio rolls her eyes. She steps away from you, leaning against the kitchen island behind her as she turns to Agatha. “If one of us is treating her with favoritism, it’s not me.”
“Really? That’s a stretch. How do I treat her with favoritism?”
Leaving the contents on the stove to simmer, you turn to watch them argue over you. It is playful, but still endearing, because you know they both treat you with favoritism.
“You answer to whatever she wants,” Rio says, like it’s obvious. “Even when she doesn’t ask, you’re always giving.”
“That’s not a bad thing.”
“No. Stealing diamond earrings and a diamond bracelet in the same week from a shopkeeper you threatened to kill is a little much though, isn’t it?”
Agatha is quiet for a moment, taking a sip of her coffee. She drinks out of a black mug Rio got her, wears a dark blue robe Rio bought her, wears a wedding ring Rio proposed to her with. You don’t think you are the one being shown partiality.
Agatha sets the mug down and looks at you. “What do you think?”
Tumblr media
You didn’t think it had been worth bickering over. They had disagreed. Now as you lay on the bed with your hands tied all you want is for them to show you favor, to fuck you until they forget the petty competition they have created between them.
Two of Rio’s fingers slide into you as she takes advantage of her turn. The rules of their competition are simple: whoever lets you come first loses. You’re working up to the third time being edged, this is Rio’s second time on you and Agatha has only edged you once.
It was Agatha’s plan to make Rio go first, and now you can see why, because in the way she’s fucking you so greedily now with her fingers and in the low moans she lets slip as she sucks bruises onto your chest you can tell Rio will be the first to break. She wants to let you come as bad as you need it, her black nails digging into your hips as her free hand presses against you in a reminder to stay still.
“Look at her,” Agatha says, speaking to Rio as if you couldn’t hear, you were something to admire. “Doesn’t she deserve to come? She’s so beautiful for us like this.”
Rio lets out a frustrated breath, accusatory glance shifting to Agatha, who takes advantage of her proximity and pulls her into a kiss. You watch them above you, one of Agatha’s hands drifting to your breasts as she sits at your side. She’s trying hard to do anything she can to make Rio let you come.
Rio notices Agatha’s wandering touch. She pulls out of the kiss, pulling Agatha’s hand away from your breasts and replacing it with her mouth. The sensation elicits a gasp from you, and your back arches into the sensation of her tongue licking across one of your nipples.
“She’s so close,” Agatha whispers into Rio’s ear. She watches you with the same hunger in Rio’s eyes as she keeps fucking you with her fingers. “Think about how perfect she would look for you, how it would feel to have her—”
Just as you reach the edge of your orgasm, Rio pulls her hands from you. She compensates with kissing you — it’s not enough, though, and you can’t help but whine into the kiss. You need her touch, or Agatha’s, something to soothe the need growing in you so sharply.
When you pull away and look at Agatha, a conflicted expression occupies her features. You know she wants to give you an orgasm, but she also wants to win. As she takes Rio’s place and settles herself between your legs, head dipping down to kiss your thighs, you can see it — that there’s nothing she wants more right now than to feel you come on her tongue.
When Rio kisses you from beside you, Agatha delivers a sharp slap to the outside of your thigh. You tense, startled out of the kiss.
“What the fuck are you doing?” Agatha’s tone is demanding as she addresses Rio, who looks back at her with unbothered pride.
“I’m playing by your rules. You want to taunt me during my turn? It has to be even.”
“It will be even when I win,” Agatha says, and you’re overcome with the sensation of her tongue dragging through you. Your hands pull at the restraints above you to no avail. You want to reach down and weave your hands in her hair, or pull Rio closer to you as she watches.
Agatha runs her tongue over your clit. She does it harder, moaning against you when your legs begin to tremble on either side of her head. It’s almost painful how good it feels to have her tongue dipping inside of you and back up to your clit. With Rio’s lips crashing back into yours you can feel yourself slowly building into another orgasm — this time you need it.
“Please,” you beg breathlessly, hands pulling the restraints again. “You win, both of you can win…”
“Agatha,” Rio taunts beside you. She watches as Agatha draws you closer and closer to the edge — she watches when Agatha pulls away.
Yet when Agatha pulls away it’s not to let Rio take her place, but to slide two fingers into you and reposition herself so she can kiss you. You taste yourself on her tongue and a moan escapes you.
“Come for me, baby, give it to me,” Agatha murmurs. Your body responds immediately, any restraint you’ve tried to keep snaps as white-hot euphoria rushes over you. Agatha fucks you through it, fingers buried deep in you as she guides you through your orgasm. Vaguely you’re able to process Rio beside you as well with one of her hands between her legs — she’s gone with you, at the sight of you and Agatha.
Agatha kisses you again as you come down from it. You hear Rio breathing heavily beside you, and then Agatha is pulled away from you again so that Rio can kiss her. When they part, Rio looks into her eyes. “You fucking lose.”
“And you’re the one that got off on it.”
A smile makes its way to your lips. Playfully Rio shakes her head at you, Agatha moving to lay on your other side so that you’re sandwiched between them while Rio undoes the restraints on your wrists. You pull your hands down.
Laying down with them, Rio rests her head on her chest and loops an arm around your waist. Agatha holds her hand, and in their embrace you are enveloped by their love. There is no winner amongst you — the victory is shared.

Two professors and a student (Part 4)
Word count: 3850
Warnings: sex, fingering, choking
A/N: this became so much longer than I thought it would lol but I'm planning on writing one or two more parts for this. Hope you all enjoy!
Tumblr media
It becomes painfully clear to you when you’re looking through your closet the next morning that you own no good clothes.
You have “going out” clothes, sure, but none that would be really appropriate for a dinner with your two hot ex-professors.
Your two hot ex-professors that you had listened to have sex yesterday. Who knew you were on the phone. Who had purposely called you so you could hear.
A blush heats up your cheeks at the memories. Rio’s moans. Agatha telling her all the things she pictured the three of you doing. Agatha telling you to cum, assuming (correctly) that you wouldn’t be able to resist touching yourself.
And then your mind travels to how it felt to make out with Agatha. Her tongue in your mouth, hands under your shirt.
Fuck.
It is way too early to be this turned on.
You could get off now and relieve the ache that is steadily growing inside you, or you could not do that, let it simmer, and see what happens tonight.
Although the waiting will be torture, you decide to go shopping for a new dress instead. Rio had asked you to wear something pretty, so that’s what you’re going to do.
Your first stop turns up nothing. Sure, there are a few dresses that look okay on you, but none that are going to make their jaws drop. And that’s what you want.
They keep catching you off-guard, but now you want to turn the tables on them. Want to make them fight to keep their hands to themselves at dinner.
You’ve moved on to the second store when your phone buzzes. You assume it’s a friend, or maybe even Rio, but it’s an unknown number.
Good morning, sweetheart. Just want to check in and see how you’re doing after yesterday?
There’s only one person that calls you sweetheart. Your heartbeat picks up but you force yourself to remain calm and pick out a few dress options. Agatha had to have gotten your number from Rio. Were they talking about you again? Better yet, did they have sex while talking about you again?
You physically have to shake your head to clear your brain of these thoughts.
In the fitting room, you don’t reply yet. The first dress is green silk, but there’s something that just looks weird about it. The next one is lavender, but it looks more like something you’d wear to a family dinner.
But the last one. It’s black and almost mesh with a plunging neckline and an around-the-neck strap. It’s short, too, but just long enough to be able to be worn in public.
You look hot in it.
You watch a smirk spread across your face in the mirror as you get an idea. You grab your phone and text back: I’m doing great. Shopping for clothes for dinner tonight, actually. Can I get your opinion on this?
You raise your phone to take a teasing selfie, not enough to where you can see the whole thing, but just a hint of your cleavage. You chew on your lip while you examine it and then determine it looks okay.
You attach the photo to the text and send it.
The reply comes almost instantaneously.
Yes. Wear that. Please.
You chuckle and do a little spin in the mirror one last time. Yeah, you nod at yourself. This is the one.
You’re walking to the self-checkout when you suddenly have another thought. You don’t really have much lingerie, and the pairs that you do have are nothing special.
So you head over to that section of the store. You’re shuffling through pairs of underwear, feeling vaguely awkward and hoping no one else sees you, when you find a pair that’s green and black. Rio’s favorite colors, you’ve come to know. And you have purple bracelets for Agatha.
The dress is so low and is open in the back so you don’t even need a bra, so you take your dress and your pair of fancy underwear and go to pay for it. You try to avoid eye contact with the employee when she comes to take off the anti-theft prevention device and pretend to not notice her smirk at you.
You’re really not sure how you’re going to kill the next eight hours or so, especially now that the semester is over and you don’t have any work. You try to go for a run when you get back to your dorm, but your mind just keeps turning to Agatha and Rio. Same thing happens when you try to scroll through tiktok an hour later. You can hear your roommate clambering around in the kitchen and you’re tempted to go and hang out with her, but instead you busy yourself with deep cleaning your room.
That takes a bit at least and does help distract you, and then you make yourself something to eat for lunch. You turn on Loving Annabelle and half-heartedly watch it while you scroll through your phone. With every notification you get, you secretly hope it’s one of them.
But it never is.
Finally, finally, it’s time to start getting ready. You take a long shower and then blow dry and curl your hair until it’s light and fluffy. You get dressed, admiring yourself in the mirror one last time, and then you put on some light makeup. You take a few deep breaths to calm your nerves.
The restaurant is about a five minute drive from you, but you’re not sure if you want to take your car. If there truly is a nightcap at their place, are you just going to follow them there? If you don’t drive, they’ll have to take you and then drop you back off. Automatically more time with them.
Plus it’s only a fifteen minute walk from the dorm to Herb’s. You grab a bag and throw in some toiletries and some extra clothes and anything else you might need if you were to, say, spend the night.
That’s where this is headed, right? You hope more than anything that it is.
And just so you’re not walking around in a skimpy dress, you pull a hoodie over your head so no one can see it. You’ll take it off right before you get to the restaurant.
“Ooh,” your roommate whistles when you walk out of your room. Even though you have the sweatshirt on, you still clearly have put effort into your appearance. “Hot date tonight?”
Technically, you have two hot dates tonight, but you’re not going to even go there. You blush and lamely brush it off. “No, just meeting up with some friends.”
“Yeah, sure,” she mocks with a laugh.
“I’ll see you later,” you say, smiling tightly before leaving the dorm.
The cold air stings your face when you exit the complex and you wrap your arms around yourself. While you look good in the dress, it is winter in New Jersey, so perhaps it wasn’t the best choice.
It’s too late for that though.
You practically run to the restaurant, getting there just a few minutes before six. The heat inside quickly warms you up and you stuff the sweatshirt into your bag.
And then you see them. Agatha and Rio saunter up the steps to the restaurant, both of them clad in suits that hug their bodies just right. You think you might be drooling and you can already feel heat starting to grow inside you.
But when Agatha opens the door for Rio and they catch sight of you, it seems that you are also having a similar effect on them. Agatha’s mouth parts open, eyes running up and down your body, and Rio has desire written all over her face as she cocks an eyebrow at you.
“Wow, sweetheart,” Agatha murmurs appreciatively into your ear once they’re next to you. The pet name in that tone makes your stomach clench. “You look really nice.”
“So do you two,” you breathe.
The waitress leads the three of you to a secluded table in the back. Rio and Agatha sit across from you and Agatha orders a bottle of wine for the table without even looking at the menu.
“Have a good rest of the day yesterday?” Rio asks innocently.
You glare at her with playful anger. “You guys knew I was listening the whole time?” You know it’s true, but you just want them to say it.
Agatha shrugs coyly. “We thought you would’ve figured it out sooner.”
“I probably would’ve except my head was about to explode!”
Rio chuckles darkly. “We thought you would enjoy it.”
Your voice drops and you look at Agatha. “What kind of dream did you have the other night?” That was the one main thing you hadn’t been able to stop thinking about since the call.
The two of them glance at each other and Agatha turns back to you, Rio smirking.
“I had a dream that Rio was eating you out while you were lying against me and I was teasing you,” she says casually and your mouth falls open involuntarily. The air is sucked out of your lungs and all you can do is gape at her. “And then I fucked you with my strap-on while Rio sat on your face.”
You think you must have died and gone to heaven. Your hands are practically shaking and Rio snickers.
“I went down on her after she woke up and made her tell me all about it. She came so hard from the thought of you,” Rio adds.
You are dizzy with need and you have to forcibly flex your fingers so you don’t do something stupid, like touch yourself or grab either one of them from across the table and drag them in for a kiss.
Your mouth flops open and shut like you’re a fish gasping for breath while your brain unsuccessfully tries to figure out what to say. Rio and Agatha are both clearly enjoying themselves.
You finally think you’re able to force out a few words when the waitress comes back with the wine and to take your orders. Unfortunately, you haven’t even had a chance to figure out what you’re going to eat.
“Ma’am, are you alright?” It takes a minute for you to realize that she’s talking to you since you got distracted by Rio pointing at something on the menu and couldn’t help but think how that finger would feel inside you.
“Oh, she’s fine,” Agatha says with a dismissive wave. “She’ll have the pasta carbonara with pancetta.” You nod at whatever that is and force a smile and the waitress seems satisfied enough.
“You okay, doll?” Rio asks, and it’s the first time she’s ever used a pet name with you. “You did ask for it.”
“Yeah,” you say with a thick swallow. “I just didn’t realize it would be like that. I didn’t know you guys even liked me like that. Have you ever, you know, with another person?” You don’t really know how to ask if they’ve ever had a threesome. You certainly have not.
“Once or twice. But they were quick things, just one night after meeting in a bar or something,” Agatha answers. You’re still not quite satisfied.
“But what about this?”
“What do you want it to be?” Rio asks quickly before Agatha can say anything.
You mull it over while you take a long sip of your wine. What is this? Obviously, there’s attraction there. But could you be in a relationship with them? Would you just be their plaything from time to time when they get bored?
“I don’t know,” you admit honestly. “I really like you both. But you’re already in a relationship so I don’t really know where I would fit into it. I do want this though. Whatever this is and whatever it becomes.”
Agatha gives you a soft smile. “We’re good with that, hon. So you’d be interested in coming back to ours after?”
“Yes, god, yes.” But then another thought crosses your mind. “Wait, is this even allowed? Since you were my professors and everything? I don’t want anyone to get in trouble.”
Rio tilts her head from side to side like she’s trying to consider it. “Well, technically we’re not your professors anymore. But we would still probably have to keep it under wraps for a little bit.”
“Is that okay?” Agatha asks.
A rush of excitement runs through you at the thought of having to keep it a secret. It almost makes it hotter. “Yeah, I’m okay with that.”
“Good,” Agatha says. The waitress comes back with three steaming plates. You think this might be the fastest you’ve ever gotten your food at a restaurant before. “Now eat up. You’re going to need the energy.” She winks at you and you almost drop your fork.
You practically shovel the pasta into your mouth, suddenly so desperate for them. To no one’s surprise, they have a bit more composure than you do, politely cutting their food and eating it at a normal speed. You’re finished before they’re even halfway done.
“Someone’s eager,” Rio comments, an eyebrow raised. You blush and squirm in your seat, positively aching. You find yourself transfixed by the way Agatha’s fingers nimbly twirl pasta around her fork, the way her mouth opens so delicately for it. You want to feel her lips on you again.
And then they’re finally finished. The waitress comes back and your entire body is almost vibrating. The check will be paid and then you’ll be on your way back to their house.
“Can I get you guys anything else?” The waitress asks.
“Could we actually get dessert? Maybe a crème brûlée to split?” Rio asks and you almost make a noise of disappointment out loud. Agatha chuckles at your reaction. The waitress gives you another weird look and leaves.
“But-” you begin to protest.
“Patience, doll,” Rio cuts you off. “Good things come to those who wait. And if you don’t behave, we might just have to punish you later.”
You blush furiously at the thought. “I wouldn’t hate that,” you mutter under your breath, but from the amused looks on their faces, you’re sure they heard every word.
“I thought you liked being a good girl for us?” Agatha simpers.
“I thought so, too,” Rio muses. “But maybe you want to be a brat instead?”
You gasp a little.
“You need someone to put you in your place?”Agatha asks.
You nod slowly at first but then shake your head. “No, I can be good tonight. I promise.”
“Good girl,” Rio says in a low voice that makes you want to throw all caution to the wind and just have them fuck you on the table right here, right now. You take another long sip of wine to distract yourself.
The waitress comes back with the crème brûlée and sets it down with three spoons. You don’t grab yours, instead choosing to watch the professors reach for theirs. Agatha cracks through the sugar layer and lifts up the spoon to her mouth for a taste. She moans like it’s the best thing she’s ever tasted and you have to squeeze your thighs together at the sound. You’ve heard Rio’s moans, but hearing Agatha’s – even in this context – almost puts you over the edge.
“Don’t you want some?” Rio asks, nodding at the dish. Flustered enough as it is, you take the last spoon and scoop up some. You’re bringing it to your mouth when Agatha licks her spoon clean, eyes locked with yours. Your hand jerks reflexively and the custard falls off the spoon and onto your chest, which is basically bare because of your low neckline.
You wince at the feeling and without even thinking, you collect it with your fingertip and suck it into your mouth. You moan involuntarily at the taste, eyes closing, and when you open them, you find both women staring at you with their pupils blown out.
“What?” You ask, wiping at your face.
Agatha motions for the waitress to come over and whips out her credit card to hand to her. “Check, please,” she demands. Your heartbeat picks up.
Rio impatiently taps her fingers on the table while you wait in silence. It takes what seems like forever for her to come back with Agatha’s card and the bill. Agatha leaves a hefty tip and they practically usher you out the door.
“Did you drive here?” Rio asks, hand coming up to grasp your bicep.
“No, I walked,” you say and she smirks coyly, like she knew your exact thought process behind that.
Agatha’s car isn’t very far and you slide into the backseat before you can get too cold. The drive is pretty quiet, all of you too wrapped up in what’s about to come to talk.
It’s less than ten minutes before you pull into the driveway of a quaint two-story home in a cute suburban neighborhood. You’re not sure where you pictured them living, but it suits them.
“More wine?” Agatha asks once you’ve all entered the house.
“Sure,” you answer absentmindedly as you walk through the front corridor to the living room, trailing a hand on the wall, just drinking their space in. You can see influences from both of them in the color and the decorations.
It’s perfect.
“You know,” Rio says from behind you and you turn to face her. She’s leaning against the wall, openly checking you out. “You got to kiss Agatha yesterday, so I think it’s only fair that I get a turn now. Right, doll?”
You nod eagerly and step closer to her. She gets tired of waiting and clasps your cheeks with her hands and pulls you to her. Unlike your kiss with Agatha, which started out at least somewhat soft, Rio dominates this kiss. She sucks on your tongue, on your bottom lip, just taking complete control. Her hand comes up to hold onto your throat and squeezes roughly. You moan into her mouth.
“I leave you two alone for five seconds,” Agatha says, entering the living room with three glasses and a bottle of wine. You break apart to look at her, but Rio clearly doesn’t care as she sinks her teeth into your neck. You groan instinctively. “Y/n, come here,” Agatha orders, dropping onto the couch and patting her thighs.
You look back at Rio, who has an evil glint in her eye. She nods in permission and you walk over to sit on Agatha’s lap. She crashes your lips together. Like Rio, you can still taste the dessert on her tongue.
Her fingers play with the hem of your dress, slowly hiking it up your legs. She strokes her fingertips up and down your thighs while she kisses you, stealing all the breath from your lungs. You feel Rio come up behind you, leaning over so she can nibble on your earlobe and suck on your neck. Agatha finally cups you through your underwear and your hips jump.
She chuckles into your mouth and you whimper when she slides them to the side and runs her fingers up your slit.
“Fuck, you’re so wet, baby girl,” she says, gathering your wetness with her fingers.
“I bet she is,” Rio mumbles, tongue licking a hot stripe on your skin.
“Taste her,” Agatha says, bringing up her hand to Rio’s mouth. It’s like you’re not even there when Rio envelopes Agatha’s fingers and bobs her head around them but it turns you on even more.
“Fuck, doll, can’t wait for my turn,” Rio says and lifts the strap from your dress over your head to she has access to your breasts. She gingerly teases your nipples slowly at first and your head drops back against her from the stimulation. You’re so caught up in Rio that you don’t even notice Agatha’s hand sliding back down to your cunt until she slides a finger inside you.
“Jesus, fuck,” you swear, hand coming to grab onto her shoulder as she begins to move. Rio chuckles, the vibrations echoing against your skin as she goes back to sucking on it, both hands tugging and squeezing your nipples which are now hard enough to cut diamonds. Agatha’s thumb rubs your clit and you moan again. The older woman pulls you in for another bruising kiss and you clench around her fingers.
“Do you want more?” Agatha asks when you finally break apart.
“Of course she does,” Rio scoffs. “She’s dripping all over you like a slut.” Her degrading words only turn you on more and you plead for more with your eyes. Rio stops what she’s doing and grabs your jaw. “Beg,” she whispers in your ear.
“Please, Agatha, need more, need you so bad,” you babble immediately. It’s good enough for both of them, it seems, and Agatha thrusts two fingers in you. Rio turns your head so she’s able to kiss you and you can feel one of her hands leave your nipple, skim down your stomach, and slap Agatha’s thumb out of the way so she can rub at your clit. She’s rougher than Agatha was but you don’t mind. You already are so close.
Rio’s other hand comes to grab at your throat again and Agatha begins trailing kisses down your bare chest. She sucks a nipple into her mouth and your back arches at the feeling.
“Fuck, please,” you say, pulling away from Rio’s mouth, not quite sure what you’re asking for. Someone laughs – you’re not even sure who at this point – and your pleasure increases tenfold. Agatha curls her fingers with every thrust just right, Rio is playing with your clit just right, and their hot mouths on you are definitely just right. “I’m so close.” You’re basically riding Agatha’s fingers right now, hips moving up and down just chasing the high you so desperately need.
Strangely enough, it’s not the extra stimulation that puts you over the edge.
Agatha, with her free hand, yanks Rio’s head right next to yours and kisses her hotly. It’s like she’s trying to devour her girlfriend.
And that’s what does it. You cum with a loud moan, all over Agatha and Rio’s fingers. You can see them both smiling while they’re making out and they just keep fucking you through your orgasm like it’s the easiest thing in the world.
When you finally calm down, you slump against Agatha, panting for air. Someone’s hand comes up to play with your hair and Agatha pulls her fingers out of you and puts them in her mouth. Another flash of heat bursts through you when she moans.
“You okay, doll?” Rio asks, stroking your sweaty hair from your face. You nod with a laugh.
“Yeah,” you say, still breathless. Agatha pats your thighs and you stand up on shaky legs. “Wow.”
Agatha gets up as well, grabs your hand, and pulls you to the stairs with Rio trailing quickly behind. “Oh, baby girl, we’re just getting started.”

Found-Family headcanons for a³'s coven of chaos, part 3: (because they all deserved more time with each other)
(part 2, here.)
(part 1, here.)
There is, of course, a group chat. Billy initially named it, “Coven of Chaos💜” but Rio changed it to “sluts”
Jen immediately left the chat the second it was created, but Alice put her back in. There was a second escape attempt when they were all together, to which Lilia responded with an “🙁” expression, which was enough to convince Jen to reluctantly stay in the group chat.
Ironically, Lilia isn't even active on the group chat. She's terrible at texting & terrible at reasing messages. (“why is the print so small??”)
She is, however, surprisingly nimble with her phone outside of that. She needed to figure it out for business and stuff.
Sharon also doesn't know how to use the group chat. She had a flip-phone until recently—and only got a new one because Billy insisted she needed it. She keeps accidentally doing group calls by miss-clicking on her phone.
Sharon always calls Alice to “come fix her phone” because “it's broken again!!” Alice, each time, has to tell her that it's probably just out of battery.
Agatha is blocked on Jen's phone because she won't stop sending her spam, so they only ever text each other on the group chat, which Jen has muted.
Jen, Alice and Lilia have a separate group chat. Lilia hasn't even noticed, but they assume she has, because she leaves everything on read. In reality, she just thinks both group chats are the same group-chat and they always have to call her om the phone to make plans.
Alice wanted to add Billy to the second group chat too, but Jen told her that he'd probably be sad to not include the others so it's better that he doesn't find out.
Agatha claims she doesn't care what Billy does, but once she ran out of her house to his car because he forgot his jacket.
Billy made everyone friendship bracelets in prideflag colours, (like the ones agatha and rio wore in agatha's trial.)
“I hate bracelets” “don't wear it then” “fuck you, I'm never taking it off.”
“do you like it? :))” *chocked up* “it's fine i guess-”
Alice, Lilia, Sharon and Rio don't even play difficult, they just wear them immediately.
Agatha and Billy love doing matching Halloween outfits. Rio and Eddie would be offended, but like. They respect the slay.
Eddie would go as hulk (haha hulkling reference) and Rio would just wear a black t-shirt that says “BOO-bs” across her chest. And she'd draw nipples all over her body.
Billy makes them vote for best costume and he ALWAYS votes for Alice regardless of who actually has the best costume. Not because he's biased—just because hers are genuinely always his favourites.
Jen and Lilia will go shopping during the first weeks of October, when people start decorating for Halloween, and the moment Lilia spots a SINGLE pumpkin she starts bitching and moaning the WHOLE WAY HOME about how “the holiday industrial complex appropriates our culture through offensive stereotypes and absurd emblems and It's full of caricatures that stem from misogyny and female domesticity and villifying powerful women and AND there's so many racial micro-aggresions and it's all just exploiting us for profit and all these decorations and advertisements are just here to pressure people to buy products and--”
Jen stopped listening ten minutes ago. She SO regrets pointing and saying, “oh, that pumpkin is so cute!” as if she doesn't know who she's hanging out with.
So, obviously Lilia never dresses up for Halloween. Jen just dresses hot, so that Lilia won't be able to be mad at her.
Lilia has... No objections to that--
Rio's favourite thing during Halloween (but also just, always) is scaring the shit out of people.
They all have weekly movie nights :)
Rio picks “comedies” (Horror movies, psychological thrillers, slasher films, gothic fiction, dark comedies, survival horror, anything gruesome & grotesque & body horror & gore, post-apocalyptic fiction) Sharon “coincidentally” skips movie night whenever it's Rio's turn to pick a film.
Alice picked everything everywhere all at once during her last turn. Her and Lilia sobbed through it (for very different reasons) while hugging each other. Other than that, Alice usually picks action movies, crime films, and the occasional rom-com or coming-of-age.
Jen loves dramas. Any dramas. Unnecessary trope-filled miscommunication? Hit her up!
Sharon likes sitcoms and old hollywood productions with a romantic flair. She'll point at scenes and narrate stories about how, “me and my husband used to...”
Agatha watches a lot of reality tv because she loves to make fun of the people yelling at each other.
Billy will always pick musicals. (Lilia has forbidden a specific few—and I think we all know which few.)
Hilariously, Agatha uses her next turn to force Lilia to sit through Madonna's Evita.
Lilia herself hates historical movies and always points out the inaccuracies. Same with fantasy media, she just doesn't like it. She's the pickiest of them all with movies and she always chooses total obscure wildcards that nobody has ever heard before—and somehow they're always the best ones.
Billy's parents are very conflicted about these people. “How about you and Eddie just... Start hanging out with people your own age? Like!! Eddie's friend group!!”
Even when he starts hanging out with the Young Avengers, he still spends more than half of his free time with his coven of lesbian senior citizens. <3

Chin Up, Buttercup
Tumblr media
Pairing: Wanda Maximoff x Fem!Reader
Word Count: 3,084
Warnings: Fluff! Southern Mommy Wanda. More fluff.
Summary: It's your big break, but the one person you want to support you isn't there when you need her.
A/N: I wrote this in like 24 hours, but yolo.
Part Two Part Three
“I’m so proud of you, darlin’.” The woman’s voice filled the calmness surrounding the two of you with a certain… delicacy that could only be made by her. It had a certain drawl to it, words weighed down by the sticky sweetness of the southern accent that clung thickly to her honey filled words. Everything about the moment was soft, something Wanda gave you endlessly, especially after the hours upon hours you had spent on your work.
It had taken you years to get to this point. To be able to finally put it up on display for the rest of the world, except for one. Wanda. You hadn’t stopped talking about it for weeks. Had it marked on every calendar the two of you shared, and even then some more.
And yet, she had missed it. Had gotten scheduled on some bullshit meeting that could get her fired from the company. You had told her multiple times that you could support the two of you, that your book would break record sales and neither of you would ever have to work again. Of course, that was wishful thinking, but it’s what had gotten you this far, isn’t it?
Wanda had left early that morning, earlier than normal, with a kiss to your head, a silent promise that she’d be home that night. It felt like a silent apology that she couldn’t make it to your first booktalk.
It was okay, though. You were a big girl who didn’t need Wanda at your side for everything you did. You tried to tell yourself that for the rest of the day, that you could do it all by yourself, even if it pulled heavily at your heart.
You did your best to pull through your day. You ate breakfast alone, debating on tearing the sticky note Wanda had left you a message on like other days she didn’t have time to eat with you before. It felt far too literal, though. Like that post it note was your heart and every little tear made it hurt even more. You settled for crumpling it up, tossing it across the empty dining table, a hard reminder of how utterly lonely you truly were.
You sat alone when you were getting your makeup done, your outfit picked out. You would blame the tears in your eyes on your makeup. Wanda was the one who dolled you up. But she had work. For hours you told yourself you could do it. You could stand up in front of a crowd and talk about the book you had spent all of your adult and most of your teen years writing, pouring every ounce of love, hatred and everything in between in it. It didn’t feel real, though.
Since you had met her, you had envisioned her next to you at this moment. Instead, you stood by yourself with a podium in front of you, the small beaded friendship bracelet twisted between your fingers. Wanda had randomly bought the kit for you one day and you had insisted she make one with you. They were matching, the only difference being your names on the piece of string.
“Thank you all again for coming.” Despite your earlier feelings of loneliness, you smiled brightly into the microphone, more than aware of the amount of photographers and press there.
Gingerly closing the book, you stepped away from the podium, scooping the item into your arms. Agatha pulled you towards a secluded corner, your team surrounding you. Right next to Wanda, she had been your number one supporter since you brought the rough draft to her. She signed you within a few hours, taking on the role as your editor and publicist like it was nothing.
“Good job out there, toots.” The brunette clapped your back, a toothy smile brightening her features. You smiled up at her, hardly able to hear her over the roar of your own heart beating along with the crowd of people ready to have their books signed by you. “Say, you keep wooing crowds like that and you’re gonna sell out in no time, kid.”
“Really?” The hope in your voice brought forth a new youthfulness to you, like you were a kid again. In a way, you were. You had wanted this since you had started writing, and here you were, your first book published and with a second well on its way.
“With that cute tush of yours? Everyone will be wanting more, sweets.” Agatha threw an over exaggerated wink at you as she laughed, using the hand that hadn’t left your shoulder as a support of sorts. Your smile faltered just slightly, a blush coloring your cheeks. It was something Wanda liked to tease you about, how easily it was to get you riled up. You would deny it forever, even though you knew she was right. “Speaking of everyone, where’s that ragamuffin of yours?”
The smile on your face almost immediately sank. You had been so busy the entire day that you hadn't had time to think about Wanda, let alone the fact that she wasn’t there. Agatha hardly noticed your change in demeanor, too focused on the buzz around you. “She… she had work.”
“Oh, that’s too bad, toots. I’m always here if you need a plus one.” Rather than comforting you, the woman shimmied beside you, yet another wink thrown your way. You had learned that she was like that sometimes. Way too much to handle. So you smiled and nodded, trying not to let the thought that your girlfriend wouldn’t be there to support you.
“Only kidding! Well, unless you two say otherwise. You know where to call me!” Agatha stepped away from her, her hand finally pulling away from your shoulder. It was the first time you felt like you could actually breathe during the entire interaction. You loved the woman, truly, but she could be a lot. “Go enjoy your party, hot stuff, you deserve it!”
And with that, the woman left, presumably to find the bar, leaving you to be pushed around by the rest of your team. You knew enough about the events of the day that you’d be signing books for the next hour, if not longer. You were grateful for all the time Wanda had spent practicing your signature, a nice, loopy design that made you feel proud of yourself. It was all you could think about as you were swept over to the long table full of your book, pushed down into the singular chair at the table, a line that was longer than it should be waiting for your signature.

By the hour and a half mark, your hand was cramping, not used to writing with a sharpie for this long. The line felt like it had barely shrunken, still too long to see the end of. It was thrilling and disheartening at the same time; the faster you could sign all of these books and do whatever you were told, the faster you could get home to see Wanda. That had it’s own anxieties attached to it, but whether she could be here or not wouldn’t change how excited you were to see her. Sure, it sucked that she couldn’t be here. Really sucked, but you would be able to see her in a few hours and tell her all about your day. It would have to suffice.
Another hour passed before you could see the last ten or so people, the feeling of relief strong. You had been at it for over two hours now and, while you were beyond flattered and amazed to have this many people read your book, you were exhausted to say the least.
You wanted nothing more than to go home and curl up in your lovers arms, but you knew it would be at least a few more hours before that was even plausible. Faces began to meld together as the line continued to shorten, each person looking a little more like the next. As the last person approached, you breathed a sigh of relief, not even looking up as a book was slid between your hands.
“Thank you for coming.” You gave the person, a woman based on the high rise jeans and blouse they were wearing from where your eyes didn’t travel up their body, a tired smile just barely tugging at your lips.
“What? No sugar for me, sweetheart?” The words themselves made you feel gross, though the voice was recognizable. Something about the soft timber of it was reminiscent, like a fond memory you couldn’t let go of.
You were sure your confusion was evident all over your face, what with the way your eyebrows pulled together and your hand stopped moving, though you couldn’t care less if the signature was ruined or not. Your eyes traveled up the, yes, woman’s body, a familiar map of beauty stood in front of you.
“Wanda?” Your breath caught in your throat at the sight of her.
She had really gone all out, dressed as nice as possible for your big event. She wore high waisted black dress pants, paired with a deep purple blouse with even darker flowers printed across it. She was wearing your favorite wedges of hers. Her dark, faded out roots were pulled up in a half up, half down style, the long locks flowing down her back. It took everything in you to not let the tears that had filled your eyes to spill, pushing the book and marker away from you as you used the table to stand.
“Hi, pumpkin.” Wanda’s southern accent was the best thing you had heard all day, instantly warming you like nothing else had.
You all but flung yourself into her arms, uncaring of how hard you had hit the table with your thigh. Wanda would tell you to be more careful about it later, would kiss it better, you knew. You didn’t care about anything other than being in her arms, though.
“Wanda.” You all but whimpered into her neck where you had almost immediately pushed your face. She smelled the same as always, an earthy undertone that paved way to the light lavender you knew was her favorite perfume, even though she hardly used it. It fully encapsulated you, making the tears in your eyes burn even more as her arms wrapped around you.
“It’s good to see you too, sweetheart.” Wanda laughed heartily, dropping a kiss to the top of your head. Her hands ran up and down your back, a gentle strength to them that had you wanting more, to be held even closer. The hand holding your bracelet, her right hand, settled at your waist, while the other settled at the base of your head, softly carding through her hair.
She had held you like this far too many times to count, but you still melted in her hold, your breath hitching. The woman held you against her as you continued to fight off tears, taking in the sweet scent that enveloped you, as if the rest of the world didn’t exist.
Time was non-existent to you once again as she stood holding you, humming softly. The only thing that you knew was that it was nowhere near enough time when she pulled back, holding you at an arm’s length with a beaming smile. She traced her left hand up to your face, cupping your cheek as she searched your eyes. You couldn’t help but smile back, biting your lip as it continued to tremble. Wanda shook her head, tsking under breath as she dropped her hand down to grasp your chin, tugging your lip out from between your teeth.
“You did so good up there, sugar.” Wanda pressed a kiss against your cheek, easily turning your head with the finger on your chin to press another to your opposite cheek. The nudish brown pigment of her lipstick just barely transferred onto your skin, something the woman would take a wet thumb to in mere moments. She kissed your lips chastely before doing so, giving you barely enough time to process what was happening before she was licking her thumb and rubbing at the lip marks.
“B-but… you…” You did your best to protest, shaking your head from side to side as you tried to escape her grasp. None of it made sense. She would’ve just gotten off of work maybe half an hour ago and would’ve had to book it through heavy rush hour traffic to get to your talk. There’s no way she could’ve seen you on the podium, let alone giving your speech.
“I what, hun? Use your big girl words now.” The brunette fixed you with a stern look as she stopped scrubbing at your cheek, tipping your head up. You couldn’t help but stare at her. The nude lip she had brought out the green in her eyes, the bright sun shining through the open windows forming something akin to a halo around her. She was gorgeous. Something straight out of one of your stories. It helped that the main character’s love interest had more than a few things in common with the woman.
“You… you were at work.” Your head cocked to the side just slightly, something you had definitely picked up from the woman, eyebrows furrowing. You pulled at your bracelet, the elastic snapping at your skin with a nice popping noise as the beads rattled. Wanda tsked, shaking her head as she grabbed your left wrist, pity written all over her face.
“Oh my, precious. I wasn’t actually at work. I was tryin’ to surprise you.” Her lips turned downwards, bringing your wrist up to her mouth with a kiss. It was obvious she wasn’t pitying you because you had snapped yourself with your bracelet, but rather because she knew how worried you must’ve been all day. The bracelet issue just happened to be a part of it.
“And what did I tell you would happen if you kept snappin’ that bracelet?” Her tone was anything but mean, if not more questioning than condescending.
The words had you easily blushing, tilting your head down as if to hide it. “That I wouldn’t get it back until you say so.” Your right hand hung loose at your side, left still grasped by the woman. You knew her eyes would be full of sorrow if you looked up, instead keeping your eyes down as you scuffed the ball of your foot against the tile. “‘M sorry.”
“Then why do you keep doin’ it, love bug? It hurts mommy when your hurt yourself.” Wanda’s voice was as sorrowful as you knew her eyes were, a tone of hurt overflowing her words.
You couldn’t help but look up anyways, your breath hitching at the sight of glossy eyes and a frown. It wasn’t often that she got upset with you in public, yet something about the silly bracelet you wore every day had made her tear up. The sight made tears come to your own eyes, your frown mimicking hers.
“I’m sorry, I’m trying!” You pleaded softly, watching as she snaked her finger up your wrist, easily interlacing your fingers. It was hard resisting the urge to kiss her, rocking back and forth just slightly on the balls of your feet. You hadn’t meant to upset her, hadn't even realized you were fiddling with the elastic until she had said something about it.
“It’s okay, pumpkin. I know you’re tryin’ and I am so, so proud of you.” Wanda’s free hand came up to hold your cheek, smiling softly at you as her eyes roamed your body, finally taking you all in. She hadn’t seen you since the night before, unless the way you slept curled up against her this morning counted, and had been dying to see you for hours, but had held off in hopes of surprising you.
“My baby girl.” Despite the fact that you had both been moments away from crying, a fresh shade of red covered your face, a heat protruding off of your cheeks as the woman pinched it with one hand.
“Wanda.” You groaned, suddenly aware of the fact that you were very much still in public. Your body twisted with you as you glanced around the room, thankful to see that no one was paying you any attention. Which was funny, seeing as how it was your booktalk.
That being said, you could feel a pair of eyes on you that certainly weren’t Wanda’s, spinning in the woman’s arms once again until you saw your editor. She was looking at the two of you with something you couldn’t detect. Jealousy? Disdain? Whatever it was, Agatha sent you a smirk and a wink as soon as you made eye contact before turning away from you.
You turned back to Wanda, slotting yourself under her chin once more. “When can we go home?” You asked in a small voice, uncaring if she could hear you or not. Of course she could though, her lips smacking quietly together.
“Whenever you want, buttercup.” Wanda could tell something was wrong, the way her arms wrapped around you even tighter than before was enough for you to know. You took a deep breath, frantically running your hands through her long hair. It was curled, tighter than usual, but not terrible. You felt weird all of a sudden, like your editor hated you and the entire room was shrinking.
“Can… Is now okay?” You asked a little louder. Wanda nodded, only pulling away enough to lift your chin up enough to meet her eyes.
“O-okay, sweet pea. We can leave right now, that’s what you want?” The woman phrased it like a question, her voice soft if not a little confused. You had been so happy to see her just moments ago, but now wanted to go home. Sure, she knew you weren’t the biggest fan of crowds, she herself wasn’t either, but she thought you would’ve wanted to at least enjoy the party before you left.
Whatever it was, though, she was more than willing to take you home, leaving you with a kiss to let your team know you were leaving before leading you out to her car, buckling you in before taking her spot in the drivers side. She took your hand in hers, the letters of your names on your bracelets rubbing against each other as she drove off.
