I have been a J/C fan since I was 21 in 2006.

When I discovered last week that KM calls RB “Sweetheart” in a 2020 zoom I was overjoyed.

Because:

Yes, it’s cute, but more than that, I finally had a term of endearment I could use in fic for J/C that was “canon adjacent” and that seemed to fit them.

And after nearly 20 years of trying to figure out what term to use, this one works for me.

(Other fandom friends have their own that work too, or don’t want to mix actor names with character ones and that is totally valid. This just helped me out of my almost two decade conundrum and I was so thrilled that I just had to share.)

It’s here in this video below between 13:20-13:40. She says it quickly after “You’re looking well” Don’t blink your ears or you’ll miss it. ;)

His nonchalant response says he’s used to it, making it likely something KM does or has done, at one point or another, often, making me even more comfortable using it for J/C as well.
