So my party comp I’m planning for my run with Aerika is Gale, Karlach, and Astarion.

So it’s gonna be like 3 selfless altruistic softies dragging around a whinny toddler that just came along for the ice cream

Aerika: About the other night. I hope I didn’t come off too forward. I had intended to tell you how I felt in a less… untoward manner. However, to experience the weave in such a tactile form and be so close to you, I got caught up in the moment.

Gale: I am deeply flattered that you would desire the company of a codger such as myself. I don’t wish to dissuade you, but neither do I want to give you false hope. With my current condition I don’t know when, or if, we would be able to act on the more base aspects of that pursuit.

Aerika thought it a funny twist of fate to be drawn to Gale, after learning the wizard was once intimate with Mystra.

Maybe it was her doing? Divining the moment for them to meet.

But how was he to compete with a goddess? Their goddess. It was obvious he missed her deeply, the way one does when they understand what they’ve lost.

He wouldn’t hide the feelings stirring in him. It was always better to lay out how one feels. If Gale accepted and reciprocated, Aerika would count himself in Mystra’s grace.

I albsoutley LOVE this complicated romance being a cleric of Mystra.

Being able to have that understanding looking in to tell Gale whatever his intentions the end result will be the same.

It is so clear he hates that comparison, how sure he think he can be different, but still takes your concern to heart and reflects on it.
