#Aeneid actually top book with most depressing ending that makes you despair about humanity#the podium being 3rd place Iliad (yay some humanity gained by the end kissing the hands of my son's murderer yadda yadda)#2nd place Odyssey (baptizing my return home in blood but at least my bed is comfy I missed it)#Aeneid is like. well we lost all innocence and compassion in war and exile uh. we are also gonna loose everything that made us who we were.#tagamemnon
