Me, now, aged 23 with a far more developed brain: Why the fuck are these CHILDREN in charge of SAVING THE WORLD?

Fragment Friday
The idea was made by @dragonagegayz
So for Fragment Friday I want to see some fragments of the work you've been working on! Be it arts, writing, gifs, collages, etc! Whatever work you got cooking, let us see! (Can be anything!) Also, highlight/color a fragment that you are particularly proud of!
I wasn't explicitly tagged but @becausedragonage had an open tag SOO. All my stuff is gonna be under the cut
I will be tagging @antivan-sprig @booksncatsworld @a-mumbling-nerd @wardentabriis @ezriell @madrabbit014 and anyone else who wishes to join. Y'all do not have to if you don't want to!
first, I have an edit I've been working on for awhile
Next is a lil thing I've been reworking and redoing for awhile, It's going to have it's own place in my Davrin and Aria fic "everybody but them" It's a Conversation with everyone's favorite Assassin Zevran.
He chuckled at her confusion and motioned for her to sit across from him. She slowly pulled the stool out, taking her seat. “You said that people call you Rook, no? My wife has told me about the one called Rook who is fighting elven gods. I guess it’s strangely fitting that it’s you.”  “I- wife?” he nodded a bright smile on his face as he lifted his hand and wiggled his ring finger. On it was a golden band that glistened in the dim light. “Oh, when? Who? And how does she know?”  “I met her on my contract, you could say it was love at first sight.” he swooned, a playful smile on his lips as he rested his head on his hand. “I tried killing her, she beat me. While covered in other people’s blood and I was on the ground bloody myself. She let me live, I guess it was my charm.”  “You tried killing her?” “I know, a real love story huh.” he chuckled “as for who? She has many names. Warden Commander, Arl of Amaranthe, Hero of Ferelden but to me and you she is Adahla Mahariel. I think that would answer your third question, would it not?” She laughed and she couldn’t help but do so. Her uncle had managed to marry one of his marks and she is one of the most renowned women in all of Thedas. The memory of Weishaupt seemed to slip into her mind, oh maker she was a warden. “Was she at-” “Weishaupt?” Zevran seemed to sit up straighter “Not originally, word got to her about the darkspawn, and you understand self-righteousness. She had to be there.”  “Wardens.” Aria sighed. “Yea, I’m assuming that your friend there is the Warden who slayed the archdemon, no?”  “You heard about that too?” “Txavo, news like that always finds its way around.” Didn’t she know it. Throughout her two months of dealing with these blighted Gods everyone seemed to know the name ‘Rook’ and what she looked like. She hated it, assassin’s weren’t supposed to be known like that even Lucanis’ identity wasn’t truly known, only the name given to him by the Tevinter News sheet. It was off putting to say the least. “Speaking of your friend.” his smile was devious as he leaned closer to her “is he your lover?” “Por Hacedor, Zio!” She could feel her face begin to warm at the mention of Davrin in that way which only caused laughter to erupt from her uncle, amusement flashing in his eyes. “He’s just my colleague. Why would you want to know that? To gossip?” His laughter still hung in the air as he spoke, “I just want to know what my niece has been doing, or who.” he winked at her, his smile only growing on his face as she felt heat flush through to her cheeks. “But my dear, colleagues do not look at each other the way you two look at one another but I will not pry.”  “Thank you.” She was exasperated. He was insane to say something like that, of course they were flirty but neither had crossed that line. ‘The way you two look at one another’ what in maker’s name does that even mean. He barely saw them interact for two seconds, now this was something that’s going to bother her for the rest of the day, possibly for the rest of the week.  “You’re thinking about it.” he hummed, watching her expectantly. He wanted her to reach some conclusion, but she wasn’t sure what conclusion that was. “Do not dwell on it too much Txavo. Wardens always seem to make it clear eventually. "
Speaking of my Aria and Davrin fic "everybody but them" I want to share my rough draft of chapter two. It's from Harding's perspective.
The silence was interrupted by the faint sound of laughter. For a moment Harding thought it was the sound of her friends in distress but as she grew closer it was clear that it was Aria’s laughter filled the space followed by Davrin’s low chuckle. As she grew close, she could see it, Aria running in the snow her weapons on the ground. She held something in her hand. She turned her body away as a thing of snow pelted against her. Harding’s gaze followed where the snow came from and caught on to Davrin who was crouched down desperately trying to pick up some snow. Smiles lit both of their faces. Aria’s pitch-black hair was highlighted with the white of snow from other attacks. Her cheeks were flushed red from the slight cold. Davrin had snow linger in his hair while he clearly got Aria, she also got him. Assan ran in the snow running back and forth between the two elves before he took off in the air to circle them from above. Harding didn’t want to interrupt and bring an end to their enjoyment so for a while she decided to stay back and watch them. She watched for the first time as Aria let loose, a bright smile on her face and her laughter only growing as she ran around trying to stay out of Davrin’s fire. She tossed the ball of snow in her hands hitting him square in the face even as he tried to move so it would hit the back of his head instead. “Oh, come on Warden that the best you got!”  “Tough talk for a crow that’s about to get iced!”  “Your trash talk could use some work!” “So could yours!” he hid behind the mining cart that sat unmoving on the rail tracks. Harding couldn’t help the smile on her face as she watched. Aria seemed to dance in the snow as she moved quickly and quietly to get the upper hand on Davrin. Harding had never seen her so relaxed or seen that big of a smile on her face even her laughter was different. There was no strain, no stress, nothing holding her back she was just her and she seemed to only be like that with Davrin.
This one isn't with my Rook, Shocker I know! This one is instead my Inquisitor, Aelon Lavellan.
“So you are adventuring off without me? I’m hurt.” Aelon couldn’t help the smile that stretched on her lips as she turned to see her closest friend, Dainara. They were around the same age, and many would say they were a lot alike but in truth Aelon was alot like Dainara while Dainara wasn’t anything like her. Everything Aelon did was a mimic of her friend. What she would do in her position and how she would handle situations. It led to a lot of problems but also helped Aelon through them when she didn’t know how to make her way out. “I wouldn’t dream of it, the Dread wolf would have to take me for that to happen.” she retorted back.  “You say that and then he will.” Dainara nudged her. Her choppy red hair lightly danced in the slight breeze that ran past them. “I can help you pack, Maybe I can convince the keeper to allow me to travel with you?” “I doubt she would agree to that.” The two girls began to walk together. Around them everyone of the Clan slowly became more lively. Children ran around chasing one another while also being chased by Aelon's mother and sister, Harhen Ashiril and Dar'Elgara, the children squealed as they tried to move away from the two older elves.  “What will your Mamae say?” Dainara kept her voice low as they Walked past them. Her eyes watch Ashiril wearily before returning back to her friend. “Everyone is aware how she feels about anyone going away from the clan, much less the World of the shems.”  “I will just have to handle it. Come help me pack? And we can try to brainstorm what I will say.” Aelon grabbed her friend's hand. Oh, how she will miss her while she’s away but no matter it shouldn't take her long, a couple months is what she hopes. She would just be there to listen, nothing more.
Finally, is rough draft of an argument between my Warden, Adahla Mahariel and Alistair.
“Then what do you mean?” she could hear the small hint of sadness in his voice as it slightly cracked. She felt his hand touch her shoulder, a simple and gentle touch one that she wanted to keep, to have as her own but it wasn’t her own. He wasn’t and couldn’t be hers, he was a Human and she was an elf. She dropped her hands into her lap and turned to him. She felt her heart break as she was met with Alistair’s sad expression.  “We can’t…” she mumbled “You are to be king.” “I don’t need to be king, Anora can remain the throne and-” “No, Alistair… you need to be king.” In the moment sadness seemed to completely vanish from Alistair, replaced by frustration and anger as he removed his hand. “What do you mean? I do not want to be king especially if it means that I can’t have-” “Alistair listen..” “No. I’m sick of listening.” he stood up “Everyone tells me what I have to be but I don’t have to be. I don’t need to be king and I don’t want to be king. You seemed to have understood that and now you are throwing whatever we- we have so I can be something I don’t want to be.” “You need to be king!” she stood up, matching his energy. “You are the only one who should be on that throne, Alistair. You want revenge and Loghain to pay for his crimes? You think Anora the current queen and his daughter will rightfully do that? You can help your people and my people on that throne with that power!”  “There’s more to it, isn’t there? Is it Zevran!?”  “What would he have anything to do with this?!”  “I’ve seen you two! I know something is there but if you think he loves you I think you may be strongly mistaken by that idea.” “This isn’t about him!” She closed some of the distance between them. She looked up at him, their faces only a couple of inches apart as anger swirled around them causing the once cool night air to turn warm. Tension passed between them a familiar feeling, she’s had arguments before with Tamlen where they wound up in the same position. Faces only inches apart and a fine line between them kissing or fighting. She had to create space before that line was crossed, she felt her foot begin to take a step back but Alistair’s arm seemed to snake around her waist and pulled her in.

Oc voice claims/accents
@heraldofwho tagged me!
Tumblr media
Emma Sparrow - Noomi Rapace
Emma’s speech is a magnificent clusterfuck of influence from the people she grew up speaking to the most: her adoptive father Rémy Sparrow, who’s Orlesian (his voice and face claim is Rufus Sewell, but obviously with a French accent), her tutor and employer, Professor Callum Mayhew, who’s from Starkhaven, and her estranged mentor/biological father Isalas, who is Rivaini Dalish. She ends up sounding almost exactly like her voice claim, except it’s slightly heavier on the Scottish bit. People can usually pick out that she’s from Starkhaven if they listen to her for a while.
Tumblr media
Lux - TJ Ramini
(Anthem spoilers btw!!!) Accent and mannerisms are actually...pretty much spot on, really. Except...obvious things that Lux would never do. <.<
Tumblr media
Eren Lavellan - Devon Terrell
Eren has only a very slight accent, but it’s something of a rarity among Lavellan to have actually ever heard him speak. Those who have say it was the most beautiful way they’ve ever been told to piss off and stop touching someone’s stuff.
Tumblr media
Tasalin Lavellan - Daniel Henney
His accent is only a bit thicker than Eren’s, but you’re definitely going to hear it more often, and he’s loads more charismatic with how he uses it. Even his dad jokes sound lovely.
Tumblr media
Rexus Leventis - Simon Pegg
Fun fact: Rexus’s voice was Emma’s favorite thing about him, is my favorite thing about him, and probably the only reason she bothered spending any time around him at all.
Tumblr media
Silver - Jude Law
Yeahh. All I hear when I try to think of Silver talking is Gigolo Joe, so...yep. Just like that, but with the tiniest hint of an accent like Atilia’s, since he grew up in the same general area she did. He does his best to sound like he’s never set foot outside of Minrathous, but it slips through sometimes.
Tumblr media
Isalas Telahsalin - Taika Waititi
He’s from a reclusive clan in Rivain that’s devoted entirely to the twin gods, Falon’Din and Dirthamen, and they all have this kind of New Zealand accent.
Tumblr media
Atilia Curio - Shohreh Aghdashloo
Rexus’s mother is an unholy combination of Chrisjen Avasarala and Olenna Tyrell, so this was kind of a no-brainer. She’s originally from Qarinus, so I headcanon her accent being like this, too.
Tumblr media
Falani Lavellan - Ayelet Zurer
Falani still has some of her native accent - she’s originally from a clan in Nevarra, but she’s been with Lavellan since she was seventeen.
Tumblr media
Aelon - Graham McTavish
...Listen, I just wanted a villain character with a god damned sexy voice, okay? What else was I supposed to do??? Erik Dellums??? Huh?????
;) I WILL TAG: @bladeverbena for totally not duplicitous reasons at all, @ourinquisitorialness, @saphyremelodies, @lavellanlove, @thereluctantinquisitor, @chaitea09, @lyriumsings, @sunshinemage, @fleshwerks, @idrelle-miocovani, and anyone else who wants to do it! No pressure if you don’t want to or don’t have any, as always. <3

I'm curious...
Fellow Dragon Age fans, did you ever come up with a nickname for Varric to call your Inquisitor / Custom Hawke? Seeing as the man seems to be incapable of calling most of his friends their actual names, I figure that he'd give the Inquisitor one, even if he doesn't in-game!
I'd love to see people reblogging and tagging / replying with their PCs' nicknames... and maybe why or how they got them! My own Inquisitors' nicknames are under the cut! It'd be a very long post, otherwise...
Mallory Trevelyan: Girly, a very literal nickname. Before coming out as a cross-dresser, there wasn't a moment where Mallory (or Mallie) wasn't in a full face of makeup. He was always worrying about getting his hair messed up or complaining about having to wear things like pants or unflattering, manly armor. Even when Varric learned that Mallory was actually a man, the nickname stuck around. It still applied, after all! Mallory doesn't mind the nickname, but he does find it hopelessly unoriginal.
Kiora Trevelyan: Pep, a clear joke of a nickname. Kiora, a somniari, struggles with narcolepsy caused by her strong connection to the Fade. Both Kiora and Varric think that calling the girl who nods off after half an hour of sitting down in a loud tavern very funny.
Aelon Lavellan: Twitch, an unfortunately literal nickname. Aelon hates it, and Varric can't help but be amused the way that Lavellan's nose and ears twitch every time Varric calls him by the nickname. Lavellan is a very anxious, slightly paranoid person, and he certainly fits the nickname.
Ashavise Lavellan: Cuddles, an affectionately ironic nickname. Ashavise is one of the least cuddly people he knows, clearly not very interested touching anyone in the world of the living for the majority of her time in the Inquisition. Even if it's a joke about her, Ashavise does think that the durgen'len's stupid nickname for her is kind of funny. Not that she'd tell him, of course.
Ademamar Cadash: Big Guy, an obviously ironic nickname. Ade is about an inch taller than Varric, but the two of them are obviously the shortest men in the Inquisition. Ade's constant flirting with the Iron Bull only makes Varric think the nickname is all the funnier. Ade likes it, and cites it to Bull when he's trying to convince the quinari to sleep with him.
Harta Cadash: Madame, a literal and relatively respectful nickname. While she and Varric are friends, he tends to be a little careful around a woman still very deeply tied to the Carta. Especially since she admitted, very cheerfully, to having met Varric before the Inquisition, her family having wanted to check up on one of the Merchant guild men involved with the mess in Kirkwall. Harta loves the nickname.
Ozol Adaar: Willow, an affectionately literal nickname. It took him a while to come up with something that wasn't too obvious. He finally settled on Willow, even if a tree joke was a bit basic. The combined factors of Ozol's towering height, strength, and his long silver dreadlocks made Willow a perfect nickname. Ozol thinks it's very nice. Far better than most of things he's called by bas.
Semiha Silva-Adaar: Bouncy, a soft and literal nickname. Semiha's personality is very go-getter and cheerful, and she tends to fidget by bouncing a little on her heels. Her twin puffs of silvery afro hair only add to the perpetual motion. She thinks it's a great nickname, and smiles every time Varric calls her it.

Day 10: Nomadic
(Dorian x Aelon Lavellan)
Of course the Vint would have some stupid questions about the difference between Skyhold and the nomadic lifestyle the Dalish lead. Aelon Lavellan does his best to answer him while also trying to focus on helping Blackwall ready the stables.

Made some cute little picrews of my Inquisitors using the "Little Guy Maker" (Link)! While both my Adaars are grey-skinned in reality, I figured I'd give them their non-Qunari skin tone for the sake of the picrew. I'd hate to leave them out!
Here's a link to the post about my Wardens!
I'm planning on making a proper series of posts to serve as reintroductions to my Wardens and Inquisitors, but I couldn't help but share these adorable little versions of them! I've added little descriptions of them below in the Read More!
First up is Mallory Trevelyan! He's a lovely little (six foot) guy who got caught up with the Inquisition in full crossdresser garb and just kept up the ruse for as long as he could. He fully identifies as Mallory, but has no issues with being referred to by the name and pronouns (she/her) his female "persona", Mallie. Disowned at 20 for being a gender-nonconforming homosexual, Mallory made his way to Ansburg and quickly formed a friend group made up of sex workers. The fact that he ended up the Herald of Andraste while trying to meet up with his estranged father at the Conclave never ceases to baffle him. I do hope it's no surprise that he fell in love with Blackwall! Not a Warden, Thom? Not a woman, Inquisitor?
Next to Mallory is Kiora Trevelyan! While a rift mage in game, she really functioned as a magical cuddle therapist and budding somniari back in her Circle days. She's a narcoleptic, her intense connection to the Fade often pulling her into sleep incredibly often and quickly. She's often encountering demons, but she's become incredibly proficient at tricking or coaxing them out of her over the years. Thanks to her, Skyhold is full of little black cats, all of which she's named. She adores her girlfriend, Sera, as she's one of the few people who never fail to keep her awake.
Below Mallory is Aelon Lavellan! He's a chaotic little man, obsessed with tinkering and order. He barely identifies with his Dalish heritage, and quite enjoys all of the new things the human world has to offer. He just wishes it was less full of humans. With the exception of Dorian, of course. The stress of battling Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and likely several other issues has left his incredibly soft ginger hair with many grey patches. He has few friends in the Inquisition, but that doesn't stop him from somewhat enjoying it.
Next to Aelon is Ashavise Lavellan! A woman who cares far, far more for the dead than the living, it's no wonder that Cole is her closest companion in the Inquisition. She has a deep love for elven history and uses her summoned spirits to help her learn. As soon as Solas started talking about his trips in the Fade, she instantly started flirting. What better way to get a man to tell you about his ancient knowledge than to offer him a beautiful woman's body? The day he told her that her vallaslin were slave markings however, she realized that an ancient culture is nothing compared to the one she was blessed with in the present.
Below Aelon is Ademamar Cadash! His mother was from Antiva, his father was from Orzammar, and his mostly-faux confidence knows no bounds. Regardless of the Iron Bull's insistence that he'd break, Ade never let that stop him from trying to ride the Bull. He got there, eventually, of course. Deeply romantic and social despite never having been romantically kissed nor having had friends, Ade would kill and die for the members of the Inquisition, especially Bull and his Chargers.
Next to Ade is Harta Cadash! A very proud member of the Antivan branch of the surface Carta, Harta is a bundle of joy and poison. She loves wine, romance, and all things warm and sunny. Having to live in dreary Skyhold and not beautiful Seleny is one of the biggest drawbacks to being the Inquisitor, in her mind. While she initially flirted with Cullen, she quickly moved on to pursuing Dorian. It's no wonder why her attempt at romance didn't work out, but she couldn't care less. After all, she got a best friend out of it!
Below Ade is Ozol Adaar! A Tal-Vashoth by choice, Ozol is the world's largest pacifist. Originally an Arvaard, he helped his saarebas escape the Qun, unable to tolerate the cruel way it treated mages. Once in the South, he renamed himself Özil—Öz- meaning self or essence, and -il meaning city—but, with time, the name morphed into Ozol thanks to the non-Qunari accents of his mercenary company. While initially hopeful that the massive qunari would be a good fighting force, Cassandra was incredibly disappointed to hear that the massive mercenary was the tax guy for his company. He won her over, in the end. Pie and poetry go a long way in wooing a Seeker.
Next to Ozol is Semiha Silva-Adaar! Found at the edge of a wheat field in a town outside of Markham, Semiha was adopted by two older human parents. Her birth parents left her with only the word "Adaar" scrawled onto a piece of paper. While she wishes she knew them, Semiha doesn't resent the Qunari who left their daughter, only a few days old, out in the elements. Semiha was incredibly proud to be deemed as the "Herald of Andraste" despite being a grey-skinned farm girl. Her adoration for the grace and charm of Josephine quickly turned into a full-blown crush, and it was only through the lack of available livestock that she didn't try to woo her using cattle.

Last line written tag game
I was tagged by @ezriell thank you so much for the tag! 🙏🙏
Context: this is a peice I'm working on for my Inquisitor, Aelon Lavellan, as not a full rewrite of Inquisition just bits and peices of her story that visit me in dreams like any good story idea. This part is specifically about when she left clan Lavellan. It's clunky, but I'm just trying to get basic ideas down before I fix it up 100 billion times.
“Aelon! Creators, there you are!” Aelon turned to find Elgara approaching them. She could hear Dainara rustle as she stood up. “Come, keeper is looking for you.” Without letting her gaze linger on her baby sister, Elgara grabbed ahold of Aelon's wrist and began to practically drag her. In a moment of desperation, Aelon turned to Dainara, who only gave her a small shrug and followed the two sisters. Elgara was much stronger than Aelon, being trained to be a hunter rather than a keeper like she was. It was hard to believe that Elgara shared the Vallaslin of Sylaise instead of Andruil, like Dainara, or even Elgar’nan. The stories that she heard from her older sister about some of her hunts, the physical fights she got in with other hunters, and even the one time she wrestled a wolf. There was no use trying to fight against Her, so she let herself be dragged, only trying to match her pace so she wouldn't stumble.
“What's going on?” Dainara piped up as she began to walk alongside Elgara, keeping her pace with hers.
“Keeper is gathering everyone to announce the… trip.” Elgara didn't face either of the younger girls, keeping her eyes in the direction of the camp as it began to enter their view. Her dirty blonde hair swished from her intense movements, causing one of her braids to threaten to let loose from its hold on her head.
“She's going to do it in front of everyone?” Aelon began to panic, her eyes looking to Dainara in desperation. the other girl could only give her back a sorrowful look. “But I hadn't even- fenedhis!”
Elgara came to a sudden stop that caused Aelon to go crashing into the hunters back. She released Aelon's wrist before turning to her. “I know, whatever speech you had planned is just going to have to work. There isn't much time, we have to leave today if we want to get there before too many shems arrive.”
More than a line, I know, but shhhh I haven't shared much of my inquisitor, so what better way to do that!
Low pressure tag: @ghastlyang3l @hedwigoprah @starlightarchery and anyone else who wishes to join in! Just say i tagged you 🤭

WIP Game!!
I was tagged by @antivan-sprig Thank you so much, Lowkey been waiting for this 🤭
Rules: You get a word and share a sentence/excerpt from your wip(s) that starts with each letter of your word.
My word was: Warmth
“What will your Mamae say?” Dainara kept her voice low as they Walked past them. Her eyes watched Ashiril wearily before returning back to her friend. “Everyone is aware how she feels about anyone going away from the clan, much less the World of the shems.”
“Are you alright?” he moved his attention from the now dead darkspawn to Aria. His hand reaching out for her softly landing on her arm. She didn’t pull away from his touch or stiffen up as Harding had seen happen time and time again instead, she seemed to relax moving into his touch.
Really? Now they show up.  “What are you afraid of? I don’t understand it.” the anger in his voice was beginning to build more.
“Mamae? Papa?” she sobbed removing her head to look up at him. She had her mother’s pitch-black hair and one of her green eyes while her left eye was a blue violet like her fathers. They were misty and red from tears that drenched her face.
Tension passed between them a familiar feeling; she’s had arguments before with Tamlen where they wound up in the same position. Faces only inches apart and a fine line between them kissing or fighting.
His laughter still hung in the air as he spoke, “I just want to know what my niece has been doing, or who.” he winked at her, his smile only growing on his face as she felt heat flush through to her cheeks. “But my dear, colleagues do not look at each other the way you two look at one another but I will not pry.”
Some of these are from older WIPS that I haven't touched up on in a while and others are pretty new. Now to Tagging the next victims (Positively) do not feel pressure to participate!
Your word will be: Basement
Low pressure tagging: @woundedsoul12 @i-creatied-au @alystrin03 @so--whoonos @ghastlyang3l and anyone else who sees this and wants to play!

Inquisitor + Companions Blackwall #1 if you're still taking asks for this
I am absolutely taking asks for any and all things! Thank you so much! Since you didn't specify an Inquisitor, time to think about all of my little guys!
From this post!
Blackwall 1. Did they suspect his true identity at all? Were they taken by surprise when he revealed himself?
Mallory Trevelyan: Mallory had no reason to doubt the identity of the Warden Blackwall. None at all. He was far too distracted by his own lies concerning his identity that he failed to see the liar right in front of him. He assumed Blackwall had some issues dwelling within him, but didn't everyone? Mallory was genuinely blindsided by the confession on the gallows, but he wasn't... he wasn't really that hurt by the lie itself. Thom had his reasons for doing what he did, and Mallory knew that being upset would only brand him as a hypocrite. Frankly, he was happy Thom wasn't a Warden. It meant that he didn't have to abandon any Greater Duty to be with Mallory once the Inquisition served its purpose.
Kiora Trevelyan: Kiora knew something was strange. She could feel it. She's a very insightful person, and she wasn't blinded by romantic love like Mallory was. Blackwall was kind and compassionate and gentle, more concerned with matters of people than matters of Darkspawn. If he was a Warden, he was a very human one. When he revealed himself, she was certainly horrified, but she recognized that his crimes took place before he became the good man that she knew. She turned him over to the Wardens to let him finish what he started, making him promise to not lose what made him good.
Aelon Lavellan: Aelon is paranoid about everyone and everything, but he wasn't paranoid that Blackwall wasn't a Warden. He was paranoid that Blackwall didn't love him. He looked up to Blackwall like the man was his father. When he revealed his true identity as Thom Rainier, Aelon couldn't care less about why he lied. All he cared about was knowing that Blackwall, Thom, whomever the hell he was, still cared about him, that him running off to die wasn't Thom abandoning him. That he would come home to Skyhold.
Ashavise Lavellan: Ashavise didn't know a damn thing about Wardens other than the fact that the Hero of Ferelden was apparently a former Dalish. She rarely asked Blackwall anything about the Wardens, caring more about his general knowledge on shemlen goings-on and battle strategy. Besides, she was already distrustful of any and all shemlen. One of them turning out to be a murderer didn't surprise her. While she was disgusted by the revelations, she figured it was better to keep Thom by her side than ship him off to the Wardens.
Ademamar Cadash: Ademamar really liked Blackwall. They were drinking buddies, Blackwall would always come on missions with Ade, Dorian, and Bull, and they generally really appreciated each other's company. They both, however, knew that the other was hiding some secret. Ademamar didn't have a clue what Blackwall's was, but Blackwall... he was able to gather pretty quickly that Ademamar was tied up in the Carta. While the reveal was a surprise, Ademamar didn't judge Thom for it because it was obvious he wasn't that person anymore. Ade's hands weren't exactly clean, either. That, and Ade almost... appreciated the fact that, once the first body in Lord Callier's family fell, so did the rest of them. Nobody would be left to linger on while their loved ones perished.
Harta Cadash: Harta was pretty damn confident that this man was, at the very least, not nearly as high-ranking of a Warden as he said he was. As an Antivan member of the Carta, she needed to be decently familiar with the workings of the Wardens thanks to the Hero of Ferelden's lover being an infamous slaughterer of Crows. The Wardens were both heroes and villains in Antiva, and knowing how they worked was essential to not pissing them off. Thom's reveal, however, of not being a Warden at all and instead being a murderer? Not just a regular one, but one of children? Harta was appalled. She didn't care if she'd killed numerous people on behalf of the Carta. Of course, if he'd simply told her in confidence, she wouldn't have been angry at all. She turned him over to the Wardens, the Ferelden Wardens, in particular. Once he was done with the Inquisition, he could go slaughter Darkspawn alongside a blood mage like the real Blackwall intended him to.
Ozol Adaar: Ozol has pretty much the same suspicions that the Iron Bull had. That is to say, he knew that something was up. That Blackwall didn't seem to perfectly believe in the cause he claimed he was fighting for. Ozol recognized some of himself in Blackwall, some of how he felt before he became tal-vashoth. He wanted to talk to Blackwall about it, but he knew that pushing for an answer wouldn't lead to anything good. He'd let Blackwall go at his own pace. Did he think that his own pace meant running off to Val Royeaux in the night to go get himself hanged? No. No, not at all. The information about killing an entire family was certainly disturbing, but Ozol knew that, not only did he regret it, but he had made it his life's work to do as much good in the world as he could. He respected that. Deeply.
Semiha Adaar: Semiha didn't suspect a damn thing. She looked up to Blackwall, looked up to a man who was a part of an organization that didn't care what you looked like, so long as you wanted to keep people safe. Blackwall was noble and admirable and cared for her. What reason did she have to think that a clearly good man wasn't actually a part of an organization designed to do anything and everything for the greater good? When it was revealed that Blackwall was Thom Rainier, a man she had heard whispers of back home in Markham... she was horrified. Truly, genuinely horrified. How was that possible? This man that she knew was good. He wasn't a monster like they made him out to be. So maybe he wasn't all good or all bad. He wasn't black and white. He was grey. Like her.

Day 29: Navigator
(Dorian x Aelon Lavellan)
Aelon Lavellan is a Dalish elf, yes, but that doesn’t mean that he’s a natural-born navigator. When he and a group of non-elves get lost in the woods on an outing, he’s forced to clarify some unfortunate assumptions.

Day 25: Scarecrow
(Blackwall & Aelon Lavellan)
There are rabbits getting into the small garden in the Skyhold courtyard. This is unacceptable. Thom Rainier, still living under the alias of the Warden Blackwall, watches as the Inquisitor, Aelon Lavellan, rigs up a scarecrow full of gears and runes.

I love coming back to my Dragon Age characters after quite a while and thinking about them more. Like, staring at my Inquisitors and thinking, hey, why does Aelon Lavellan need to have magic? His personality is so... misaligned with the freeness of magic, that it doesn't make sense. Like, sure, there's a juxtaposition between a very practical, no-nonsense person being a mage, but I think that it solidifies him more to have him be a rogue, to let his affinity for crafts be a way to work around not being magical as opposed to being something in opposition to him being magical.
That, of course, and having him be able to stare at Dorian with a blank look in his eyes when he talks about whatever magical project he's working on.
Aelon: Of course, dear (sarcastic), you could do all this complicated magic. But have you considered... a fuckin' pully system?
Dorian: I may have... neglected to consider the possibility.

Veilguard spoilers!!
I'm a HUGE sucker for happy endings and also Angst. so, I have two worlds so I can have both. I have my canon world state
Hof (Adahla) survives, Hawke isn't in the fade, (Aelon) Inquisitor is happily with her true love in the fade, (Aria) Rook saves the world.
then the other one.
Hof Dies, Hawke is in the fade, Inquisitor dies (I'll explain), everyone Rook grew to care about is dead and now they are stuck with the one person they hate.
I think the reason Adahla wouldn't accept the ritual is because she never came to terms with Tamlens death. He died but she didn't, she is still breathing and is able to fight while he, who was her fighting spirit all throughout their childhood, is gone. Even after finding love once again, she just isn't able to accept the fate that she lives. While Hawke obviously is very self-sacrificing so no matter in both worlds, she offers to stay to fight the fear demon, so the decisions is more so Aelon's. Aelon would pick Hawke because she can see how tired she is, knowing that if they got out there is no certainty that another fight isn't waiting for the Champion one that she doesn't want any part of, she also believed that the Wardens need Stroud. without Stroud the wardens would fall once again.
NOW we get to Inquisitors death! Veilguard Spoilers!!!
I saw someone mention on Tik Tok about the idea if instead of Varric going after Solas and ultimately dying it was Lavellan and that got my evil wheels turning. Aelon being the one with Harding and recruiting Rook because she believes so heavily that she can stop him by talking to him, just as Varric did. The altercation would be different. Aelon reminding him of their moment at Crestwood and that she received his letter even if he didn't sign it. Solas is too prideful to listen as he states he is doing it for not just the world but her. when Rook disrupts Aelon goes in reaching over him to grab the dagger only for his fight or flight to kick in and he turns jabbing the dagger into her chest. For a brief moment Solas sees her face, and while it's in shock she smiles before falling back. He is Irredeemable now. The rest of the events is sorta the same only one major choice Aria has to make that completely shifts everything for her.
Aria instead of choosing her home chooses minrathous completely cutting off all ways for her to grow because after seeing the destruction she reverts back to 20-year-old her. she doesn't talk often to the others, she's blunt and struggles trusting them. She pulls more risky moves in hopes they'll kill her. by the time she fights Elgar'nan she is done. she doesn't care how it ends but it'll end, finally death will catch up to her as it should've years ago, she was never the right person to lead this team. At the end she ends up alone just as she always felt she was but this time it's true as she fights one of her gods. The Dread Wolf, the one who she has tattooed on her arm oh the irony. She ends up pulling him in the fade with her to save the world, to keep the veil in place. she is stuck with the god who took everything from her and lied to her every chance he got.
To add to that, Aria's hero is the Champion of Kirkwall during this fight she adorns the Champions armor, someone who lost everything despite trying and in the end Aria lost everything and got trapped in the fade just as her hero did. History repeats.
