S's adventures in attempting to find love this week: (1) Filling in the survey at my tennis club and telling them to put on young people's social tennis nights (and getting my tennis friends to put that too), and (2) navigating Nepalese beauty stores to find some mascara because I forgot mine and what if the love of my life is on my Bhutan trip?

Ughhhhh I hate this fucking ex, I hate him. I stg he is psychic and knows exactly when is the right time to send me another random dumbass text. Ngl at this point I’m seriously tempted. Lately I’m thinking about random tinder hookups anyways and it’s like pulling fucking teeth trying to force myself to use this stupid depressing app, at least with this guy I know that he’s pretty and well-endowed and smells nice. Sigh this is so fucking stupid. Dumbass idiot. Both of us.

I'm 99.99% sure this guy was a scammer. I didn't save all the messages, but he started by telling me he was from Switzerland and therefore he spoke French. (Which, possible... but not highly likely.) He said he could guess if I was a coffee or tea drinker (my profile literally says I like tea!) and that he could guess where I like to go for coffee. I pushed pretty hard some more to meet in person, and refused to answer questions about investing in crypto and refused to tell him if I was a homeowner, and he unmatched. :)

I just love love love that there’s a guy wandering about Dungeon Meshi going, ‘but what are the socioeconomic and geopolitical consequences of this fantasy quest adventure, both while it’s ongoing and after its inevitable completion?! The skillset required to find and kill a Mad Mage is different than that required to responsibly, benevolently and effectively rule a kingdom. Kabru would demand to know if Aragorn is familiar with Gondorin tax law. His isekai energy is off the charts, because this is all exactly what I would do if dropped into a fantasy quest adventure, right down to repeatedly dying due to not actually being suited to the genre conventions.

It's not you babes, it's the guys who do this. Has happened to me too many times, guys negging at the slightest opportunity to make me feel unstable so I get addicted to gaining their good opinion, that it's the only one that counts. It's just another form of abuse. Block and move on. Don't even give it roomspace on your mind. My therapist said guys like that are red flags who want to subjugate women they find attractive but can't meet them as equals, having to insult them to ensure submission without overtly doing so on the surface. It's just a subtle form of control to make you doubt yourself in everything. You dodged a bullet there.

This dude really thought he did something with that comment. On a selfie where I look really cute, I might add. I was so shocked, like I literally thought we knew better than this, but apparently not. His profile is a whole ass red flag, too, so it's a hard no from me.

In conclusion: Dating is the worst.
