The frustration hadn’t worn off. Or the embarrassment, but frustration was easier to chalk it down to. Everything for the past few days was just small inconsistencies piling up on top of each other to make Quackity’s life more difficult.

The fly didn’t help. Gods the fly did not fucking help at all. It wasn’t even his fault! So what, he got low and didn’t notice a stupid fly? How was he supposed to know a fly could kill him.

While he thought to himself his frustrations he hadn’t even noticed what he left on the stove was beginning to burn. Not until the a smokey smell rapidly filled Bad’s kitchen. It was enough to draw Quackity from his thoughts, shrieking at the pan on the stove and panicking a bit longer than he should have.

Quackity nearly tripped trying to get the pan off the stove, and by the time he did the contents were unrecognizable. Every feather stood on end. From behind his wings flapped as he hands slipped down his face. “God fucking dammit!”

After Bad sat him down Quackity didn’t move anywhere. In fact where he sat now he was still in. Not that he felt he could do a lot of moving.

It was weird seeing everyone again looking at each other so full of care. Funny, considering all he was doing now was trying to keep Tilin close, arm keeping her close, almost shielding him. Just for a minute. Just to remember his baby. Quietly trying to explain some of the new people like the Brazilians and French.

It was probably scary coming home to familiar and new faces all at once. This is it though. This is Quackity’s chance to leave his old self behind. He has two kids, an almost brother-thing, two best friends, and a plenty of people to know. All the useless cycles are over.

If tonight was just going to be spending time with his patito, Quackity wasn’t complaining.

The island never ceased to be interesting. Today was a breakout. Apparently? A big one at that. They were rescuin the kids and those who were taken out of the Federation.

Antoine wandered alone through the grass. Perhaps the most random thing was this ‘Luzu’. They heard a little bit about ghoul, but not a lot. It was simple things that made it very easy to label the other as a dead-beat parent. Disappearing randomly for months at a time really didn’t help Luzu’s case.

Unlike the others Antoine really held no ill thoughts to Luzu. Perhaps there was a reason Luzu was gone? Maybe Antoine volunteered to grab ghoul to ask these questions. It was much easier than drawing Conclusions. It seemed like no one has spoken to him much either. No one knows where Luzu’s intentions lie.

Now, Antoine didn’t actually know where Luzu lived. She was relying on her communicator to give a location of sorts.

“Bonjour?” Antoine called out, then remembered Luzu was not French. Disappointing. “Ah- hello? Are you here?”
