#Adhd brain be doin the adhd thang and not letting me finish a single thought before jumping to the next

Okay minor theory/interpretetion. Brain be pingponging all over the shop. So just enjoy some adhd rambles that may or maynot make any sense.

People are talking about how they think Varric is going to die, especially based on the game play sneakpeak we got, he definitely appears like he's expecting to die with how he tells rook to take care of the team for him. But, I wager, theirs no way they kill Varric but that doesn't mean they wont make us think they have for a bit.

I reckon, us as Rook, pushing the statue into the current magic ritual and setting off unknown affects. Likely 'A', probably hits us with some weird affect in some way cause they like to do that in Dragon age, give us a reason we can't leave the situation and magic going wonky seems to be a big theme the coming game anyway. (Plus the person in the trailer with wings, the wings are purple and purple seems to be our colour as rook?) But also 'B', I think Varric and Solas likely get caught up in it, maybe sucked into that shit he was opening/started opening after we fucked with it, the two together stuck in some in-between space/ fade/ some shit along those lines. Perhaps even Varric tackles him into it in hopes it'll stop him, sacrifice himself type style, very 'been around Hawk too much' of him which I do feel like fits what he talked about a bunch in Inq, wanting to be better and make up for the times he says he tried to pretend he didn't see things happening. I mean he's also standing in the optimal position to body tackle Solas into it. Like come on.

We're told Varric plays a big and important part of datv but I don't think it's dying for our character progression. I think we may believe he's dead for a time, while he's in fact trapped in some unknown magic something with Solas, and in doing so leaves the veil wonky, thin, and weak? Leaving other elven gods to free themselves and be a pain in our ass.
