Olympic figure skating 2018 live stream: Time, TV schedule, and how to watch Monday's ice dance online
Tumblr media
Medals are on the line when the ice dancers perform their free skate. Alex and Maia Shibutani of the United States are vying for the podium
Three pairs representing the United States qualified for the ice dance free skate, which will take place on Monday at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. Alex and Maia Shibutani finished their short program in fourth place and are battling for a podium spot, along with Zachary Donohue and Madison Hubbell, also a U.S. team, who are in third.
The dominant Canadian team of Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue took first in the short program, with France’s Guillaume Cizeron and Gabriella Papadakis holding onto second. It will be a tall order passing up either one for silver, let alone gold.
The ice dance free dance will begin at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN and will be broadcast by NBC after 9:35 p.m. It will also be live streamed online via NBC Olympics, and a simulcast of the primetime NBC television coverage can be streamed via FuboTV.
Evan Bates and Madison Chock, the third U.S. pairing, are still vying for a podium spot as well, though they finished the short program with a score of 75.45, in seventh place. Hubbell and Donohue scored a 77.75, just edging out the Shibutanis, who scored a 77.73.
Virtue and Moir set a short program world record with a score of 83.67. Cizeron and Papadakis had a fantastic performance and are right behind them with a score of 81.93. The free dance is longer and tougher and should be well worth watching on Monday.
Our live blog of that short program can be found here.
