How To Balance Your Daytime and Nighttime Activities So That You Don't Burn Yourself Out More Than You Already Have

Communication is good. It's wonderful, even! But screaming matches? Especially ones that last this long, aren't healthy in the slightest. In fact, all they do is damage relationships. So, after convincing Barbra and Tim to go upstairs, promising that he'd be up in a few minutes with Dick, he went back to where Bruce and Dick were screaming at each other.

Nothing had been thrown yet. Small mercies.

God, Danny hated being a mediator. Why couldn't people just work out their problems by talking? It'd make his life so much easier. Was that so hard to do? Too much to ask? Apparently.

"And you-!" Bruce rounded on Danny the second he closed the door behind him. "You don't get to come into my house and-"

"Let me stop you right there, Mister Wayne." A few days into his running away, Danny discovered a new power. He can't control it, but sometimes, when he's angry or needs people to shut up, the inside of his throat goes cold and his eyes narrow. It's really cool, from Danny's perspective, and pun fully intended. Something about Mister Wayne had brought that power to the surface, and thank the gods for that because Danny really needs to be listened to right now. "I told you earlier that my name was not a fight you wanted to pick. I think I should reword that. I am not a person you want to pick a fight with."

Bruce narrowed his eyes, meeting Danny's glare with his own. "Is that a threat?"

"Yes, Mister Wayne, that was a threat. And you can hold me to it. I will win any and every fight you try to pick with me."

Dick kept glancing between the two. He had a bad feeling about these two interacting like this, but something was stopping him from getting them apart.

"I have your name and your face. It won't be too hard to get you arrested for several crimes."

"Framing a child, Mister Wayne? Good luck with that. I don't exist anymore. Besides, I can threaten the same thing about Batman, and that holds significantly more weight than anything you could do to my name."

"If you're not scared, then you'll give me your whole name."

"That was a horrible fish for information, Mister Wayne. You're slipping. You must be getting rusty in your old age."

"Danny-"

"Dick." Danny held his hand out to his - on paper - responsible adult, "C'mon, Tim and Barbra are waiting for us upstairs."

Danny lead Dick out of the room, Bruce staying behind and obviously glaring at the back of Danny's head. When the door shut, Dick sighed, every bit of tension he hadn't felt melting off of him. "Sorry about him."

Danny shook his head. "Don't apologise, Dick, you didn't do anything to spark that. However," he glanced at him from the corner of his eye, still holding his hand, "Screaming matches aren't going to fix anything between you two. I don't know if you even want a relationship with him, but he's right. We came into his house, so it's up to us to be polite. You may be his kid, but you are a guest in his home until you two can form some kind of positive relationship. The hostility between y'all right now? That demotes you to 'house guest' instead of 'visiting child'. Got it?"

"..yeah."

"Good. Now, Tim and Barbra are waiting upstairs; go find them."

"What about you?"

"I'm going to go apologise to Alfred."

"Alfred? Why?"

"Bruce may claim this as his house, but Alfred's the one who takes care of it. It's his haunt, so I'm gonna go apologise for almost starting a fight."

"Um, alright..?"

Dick found himself wandering into the room that had been given to Tim. It was bare bones and barely looked used, but that's where he found Tim and Babs. He sat next to her.

"Where's Danny?" Tim asked.

"I- He's gone to talk to Alfred for a minute."

"Oh? Why?"

"I don't..he wasn't really clear on that."

"Oh."

The three lapsed into a silence that hovered somewhere between comfortable and uncomfortable. Tim was on his bed, messing with something on his phone, smiling occasionally or chuckling softly. Dick and Barbra sat together on the couch against the wall between the two windows. None of them spoke for a while.

It was a lon twenty minutes of sitting, doing nothing. Sometimes one of them shifted, but no conversation was made.

The door opened. "Wow. Did I end up in a graveyard or something? Y'all're quieter than the dead." The three flinched back as if struck. "Sorry, that was in poor taste." He closed the door behind him and sat on the foot of Tim's bed. "Seriously, though, why're y'all so quiet?"

"Waiting for you," Tim answered, "What'd you talk to Alfred about?"

Danny waved his hand in the air as if to physically dispel the words. "Nothing you need to worry about. Good news, though, I have a standing invitation to the Manor, so.."

"Is that a good idea?" Barbra asked, "You and B, well...You didn't really.."

"Yeah," he smiled, "Alfred's given me permission, and that's all I need. I won't be going with you guys to the Bat Cave, though."

"What?" Tim's voice pitched up a bit, "Why?"

"That's Mister Wayne's haunt. Because he doesn't like me, I'm not gonna risk even thinking about going down there."

"But you'll come and go from his house?"

"Yes."

"Weird."

"I don't make the rules, Timmy." Tim snorted softly. Barbra smiled.

"I hate to be the one to bring the mood down again," Dick said, "But why were you wanting to go to the Cave?"

"I just said I wasn't."

"Yeah, but why would you ever need to go down there?"

At this, Danny looked a bit sheepish, turning to look away from the others and rubbing the back of his neck. "Alfred said we're staying the night."

"What!" Dick shot up from his seat.

"Are you coming on patrol with us?" Barbra asked Dick, her eyes expectant.

Tim grinned. "That'd be so cool! You two should totally join us!"

Dick shook his head. "I really-" He cut himself off, making the mistake of looking Barbra and Tim in the eye. He sighed. "Alright, I'll join you guys for the night. But I don't answer to Bruce."

"Yay!"

"Wouldn't expect ya to."

"What about you, Danny?"

He shook his head. "Nah, I don't do the whole vigilante thing anymore."

"'Anymore'?" Babs raised her eyebrow, "That's a story I wanna hear."

He blushed. "It's really not,"

"You'll be on comms, though, right?" Tim wondered.

"I, um.... Sure. I'll join you guys on comms."

"Yes!"

"But I'm still not going into the Bat Cave."

coughs this up as my first post about this AU

I wanted to see how well Phantom Infinite and scythes would work so I used Spinel from Steven Universe as a reference to get started....then it spiraled out of control and I rendered everything (but rendering's fun to me somehow so it's fine sngjreg)

Not gonna say much about the AU rn except it's just a rewrite of Forces and Infinite happens to be the final boss (so if you have critiques on this design of him, they would be widely appreciated!!)

Okay so I've watched Dynasty, and I get that people are upset that Mox won again. But here's the thing;

Wrestling never lets lightning strike twice, Swerve winning 1 year after winning the title before at the same event already felt like there was the risk of fuckery to rain on the parade. Swerve was also mega protected in defeat and while Moxley's reign does lack in luster, the villain does have to win sometimes - it makes his defeat all the sweeter.

Swerve losing here however might just be a necessary evil. If Swerve won, the Owen would be locked for Hangman on the same night the first round began - at least now Ospreay is back to being considered as a potential winner too. And it's not to say that Swerve won't get a second chance, All In Texas is 3 months away; Spring BreakThru, Double or Nothing, AND Fyter Fest are in between that, there's still time to deal with the Bucks and use winning as stakes to get a second chance.

Are there places AEW still needs to improve? For sure, all companies have that; several talents are absent in all divisions, several talented wrestlers fall lower in the pecking order than their talent should allow, and several talent who are over are in need of something substantial even if it's feuds that'll lead into challenging for a title. But if you can endure 2 years of Bloodline main events you can endure a bit more of the Death Riders. Dynasty was still good, AEW is still good, don't let Moxley retaining make you forget that.

druids can NOT speak in people’s minds. when they are before a high priestess, they can pray to her directly and she can hear them (hence the scene between morgana and mordred when he spoke in her mind).

merlin who constantly has this buzzing in the back of his head that he can never understand besides the occasional odd word which makes no sense. but when he’s closer to a druid or when their prayer is super strong, then he can make out what they’re saying.

merlin who brings up the fact that druids can speak into peoples minds to gaius who casually unfurls a scroll containing his ongoing list of reasons why merlin is/evidence of merlin being a god of the old religion.

There isn't any sort of celebration as far as I know of? I've passed houses and Lerkrims of people hosting parties and the like, but that's the closest I've seen. But no, I don't think anyone does holidays here. If they do, I haven't seen anyone celebrate it. Hey, maybe that'll be something someone can do. Set up a haunted house year round. Randomly go decorate. Make a halloween costume just for the sake of it. Seems like fun to me.

Okay, so, this is just random but I've been obsessing over jihoon recently, been losing my mind and desperately trying to look for fics admiring the man that he is but I can't find many, and so I'm genuinely really excited for your where you're convenient jihoon fic and also more jihoon scenes in camp seventeen because, I need to simp over my man. Also, please let me know if you know any good fics that would drive me crazy for jihoon, and well, just worship him. I love that man.

Also, I totally agree with tumblr user todayiscloudyday when they said that the houses were so well described. The character descriptions were literally so good that I read both the prologue and the character descriptions multiple times before the 1st chapter came out. The houses, their companions, the symbols, their jobs, I have to say, you've really done such an amazing job with them.

Anyway, I just came around to rant about my woozi brainrot and also to let you know that I am genuinely excited for your upcoming fics. Honestly no, I don’t see Mary traveling that much. She goes out alot, be it to party and get wasted or just find a new victim meal. But she doesn’t really go out her way to go anywhere special. Maybe the beach sometimes.

But other than that, she just sorta rots in her room and stays chronically online. On da hell internet🤡

So it’s a 50/50 on those two things, depends on her mood that week.

💤 SLEEPING SIGN - is your oc a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? how are their sleeping habits?

Shes a decently heavy sleeper at times. But often she tries to be aware of whats going on, in case anyone tries to mess with her or her things.

She hogs the bed and the blankets and if she starts spreading her limbs around, you know theres a change some parts of her might shapeshift in her sleep.

If you’re a close friend or partener, you risk being hit by appendages.

🤒 FACE WITH THERMOMETER - does your oc get sick easily?

Not really. Unless you count a bad stomac ache at times. Now dead and in hell, theres not that many risks of illnesses for demons. At least not in the having a temperature and stuffy nose way.

With the ungodly food combinations shes making tho, she might throw up from that. But shes been doing decent… And thats somehow worse. Someone take her away from the kitchen please.

Well hes a rather stressed and easily annoyed guy, so their mannerisms usually reflect that. Things like clenching and unclenching their hand alot when they’re talking to someone that annoyed them. Or their snout’s tip twitching.

Emoting with their tail or ears at times.

But otherwise he tries to keep his mannerisms in control in public and show as little of them as possible. They’re usually aware of their body and their voice is flat unless they need to gain something when speaking to someone.

🐶 DOG FACE — does your oc have any pets?

Yeah!

There is his beloved cat, Miți. Shes a joke character. Which is to say a communist cat who ran for town mayor and won. Well I say shes a joke character but all 4 are joke characters.

Theres his dog (or tamed wolf I guess, because minecraft) Sonya. She’s Miți’s secretary now.

His second dog, Raul. He is stupid and has no thoughts. Just vibes.

The so called “Church Cat” is his partener’s cat, who was left with them while hes in a hospital in another town. She stays around/inside the church, hence the nickname.

Priest Lev and the only other furry npc in town are the only ones who can understand the animals.

We didn’t really name the town or the ones around it. But father Lev moved here. When they did, the town wasn’t in the best state. They were a simple, humble fisherman back then.

As for their birthplace, when they hatched, there was no one around. No parent or sibling, just cracked eggshells. So he has strong opinions yeah and not good ones.

I wanted to do the 100 favourite films game that I saw half my dash doing, but the moment I tried, I immediately felt as though I had never seen a single film in my whole entire life. Everything I had ever enjoyed went out of my head. Thus, the obvious solution: books!

(I suspect there of being quite a lot of recency bias in this list - I've read several of these for the first time within the past three years - but I do really love them all...)

do u know how much easier my life would be if the nhl app could give me player-specific notifications like mlb app can. like, mlb app can tell me if specifically julio rodriguez is on-deck or hits a homer without burdening me with additional popups, but in the nhl app my options are either "nothing" or "phone buzzes every godforsaken time something happens to the toronto maple leafs" (things happen to them SO MUCH), when all i REALLY want to do is know sooner than 2 days later when i remember to check on it that max pacioretty score goal. cmon.
