Everyone loves a good ghost story, right? Creepy tales told 'round the campfire have been a longstanding tradition and, in modern times, that tradition has turned into sitting around the TV watching other people's ghost stories. Thankfully, for fans of all things spooky, there are plenty of shows out there that bring the hauntings straight to the audience's front door.

With no shortage of shows that hone in on the belief that the world is, in fact, very haunted, it can be tough to settle on just one. This is exactly why a specially curated list of shows both new and ongoing is exactly what every amateur ghost hunter needs for the perfect, creepy night in.

10) Project Fear

YouTube's Favorite Ghost-Hunting Group, Formerly Of Destination Fear

While still relatively new regarding ghost-hunting shows, Project Fear has had its viewers on edge since 2023. With episodes that are roughly an hour long, this documentary-style show follows experts Dakota, Chelsea, Tanner, and Alex as they explore haunted locations with an unsavory reputation.

The best part about this show? Fans are all too familiar with its experts since they're the same paranormal experts who were on Destination Fear. Project Fear became the new spin-off, thus bringing fans old and new into the fray investigating anything from decrepit asylums to haunted hotels.

William Shatner Takes Fans Down Every Rabbit Hole Possible

Hosted by William Shatner, The Unexplained is where the worlds of the paranormal and the metaphysical meet to create an entertaining - yet educational - show. During its hour-long episodes, fans will be introduced to anything from conspiracy theories to the world's most prolific hauntings, with experts to provide a solid background of information.

Kindred Spirits is an oldie but a goodie and is still a tried and true Travel Channel favorite. What makes this show so memorable and still has fans bingeing it to this day is its cast: Adam Berry and Amy Bruni were formerly from Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters Academy and brought their ghost-hunting skills with them when this show aired in 2016.

Rather than going to known paranormal locations, Berry and Bruni investigate the homes of those who claim they've been haunted. Their goal is to determine whether there is paranormal activity and then determine where it's coming from - and each episode doesn't always lead to a happy ending.

5) Ghost Adventures

A Little Drama Never Hurt Any Ghost Story

Ghost Adventures has been a SyFy Channel production since 2007 after it moved away from the Travel Channel, being led by well-known paranormal investigator Zak Bagans. While many accusations have been made about the show's accuracy, it hasn't stopped fans from continuing to watch every new episode as Bagans explores the world's most paranormal haunts with Aaron Goodwin, Billy Tolley, and Jay Wasley.

For those seeking a ghost show that adds a little more drama than the average, Ghost Adventures is a pretty safe bet.

Perfect For Fans Of Ed And Lorraine Warren

When 28 Days Haunted hit Netflix in 2022, it brought with it plenty of mixed reactions, although it's still not the worst horror-themed show. While some viewers argued about the legitimacy of the show's intent, others vouched for the intense nature of its 28-day lockdowns.

In an effort to prove famed paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, modern-day investigators spent 28 days on the sites of their most notable cases. This one isn't for the faint of heart, but also... take its speculations with a grain of salt.

It's Become A Cult Classic When It comes To Amateur Ghost Hunting

Ghost Hunters has had a myriad of spin-offs with the original crew, who are Roto-Rooters by day, and ghost hunters by night. As the team investigates each haunting, they attempt to use science and logic to determine whether a home is being haunted. Sometimes, it's a loud pipe while other times, it's a disembodied EVP that can't be deciphered by human ears. Either way, it's a fun - and also, nostalgic - watch.

Yet another Netflix series, Haunted dives into real-life stories of everyday people who have experienced something truly terrifying. While the show currently has three seasons, each one is scarier than the last, and there are no filters when it comes to the terror that each episode brings with it.

For those who are seeking a truly harrowing account of the paranormal, Haunted is a good place to start streaming. It's not Paranormal Activity-level, but it's pretty close.

Chris Claremont’s run on New X-men is just incredible. While some things aged poorly (looking at you Amara), there’s still so much to enjoy in this run. The characters are so lovable and they act like believable teenagers most of the time. This is also a must read for Magneto fans. He’s such a great headmaster to these kids.

Favorite Characters: Cypher and Warlock

Fallen Angels
