It had been a whole few months since I last drew Ishi, so I had to fix that.

In my mind they are canon, and that's enough for me 😌

First art of the new year and it's who else but he!

In case it isn't abundantly clear by now I care him very much.

Super happy with how his costume came out. I never thought I'd have the skills to make it look right but here we are!

Some highlights of his gear:

Stingers of the Scorpion - the straps around his hand house two claw-like metal stingers each. The claws come out of the metal nubs when a button on the palm of the strap is pressed and collapse back when pressed again. These stingers are connected to a line hidden in his body suit the laces the claws with his own paralytic venom stored in a reservoir on his back between his hoodie and body suit.

Boots of the Scorpion - While just a simple pair of boots at first glance, the treads are outfitted with nanotech that functions like a scorpion's ungues and allow Aculeus to grip to walls and even unside down on ceilings. This effect is harder to perform on extra-smooth surfaces like glass and certain polished metals.

Eyes of the Scorpion - This pair of tinted glasses is outfitted with a HUD that gives him information about his environment, target, mission, etc.

Belt of the Scorpion - Not just good for holding up pants, this belt is the perfect place to attach pouches when additional storage is necessary. The buckle also hides a secret compartment for a cyanide capsule. A spy's secrets must die with them after all.

This is the result of me trying to learn how to use Sai in conjunction with still trying to get used to a digital art tablet.

If anyone out there who is good at art can give me some tips on proper shading I'd appreciate. For now, I'm improvising.

I don't typically share stuff about my OCs cause I never feel like it's good enough for anyone to care, but I actually like how this one turned out!

I am slowly figuring out how to shade. It's not great yet but it's better.
