Why Do We Get Acne Scars?
Acne scars are tell tale signs of inflammatory acne on face and unfortunately they don’t go away with creams or tablets. Those pits/ depressions in the skin require multiple sessions of skin treatment in dermatology clinics to get better. But why do they happen in the first place?
1) Acne scars usually occur in big/ painful/ deep looking pimples. These pimples have a deeper component inside the skin and hence cause more damage.
2) Poking/pinching and scratching on your pimples can trigger more inflammation and although it may feel better for visible part of acne but its never good for deeper component of acne.
3) Many of us believe that leaving the acne as it is and not treating it is the right way to approach pimples. But that's a wrong concept.
Always keep a pimple cream handy if you have acne prone skin. The quicker we arrest the inflammation in acne, the lesser the damage and chance of scarring. If you have already developed acne scars and want to treat them, Reach out to your dermatologist!
