“I’m stuffed,” said Jensen that night, the kids running around playing soccer in the yard after dinner.
“I need that chicken recipe,” said Jared.
“I’ll write it down for you guys,” you said, sitting back in your chair. “You can do it with breast too if you like that better.”
“I want exactly this like, everyday from now on,” said Jared. Gen rolled her eyes and Jensen pulled out his phone. “Want me to take a pic?”
“I don’t need your freakishly long arms just yet,” chuckled Jensen. He turned around and took one of the four of you at the table before handing off his phone. “Mind getting one of us?”
“Your mom harassing you for engagement photos already?” asked Gen.
“By the time we were leaving they were both asking for photos and being obnoxious. Better than they were though,” said Jensen, smiling beside you. Jared took a few more and handed the phone back.
“I still can’t believe your parents would act like that,” said Gen. “I mean obviously I’m super happy it got fixed but that’s so unlike them.”
“They made a mistake is all,” you said with a smile. “I don’t know about you guys but I’m going to finish this beer in the pool.”
“I think I’ll join you,” said Jared. He stood up and had a look on his face you caught too late. Before you knew it he had you picked up and was jogging over to the deep end and jumping in with you.
“Jared!” you said when you popped up. He giggled and swam off to the shallow end. “After I helped pick up the plates ya big lug.”
“We got it,” said Jensen, carrying over two beer cans and handing them to you. “We’ll join you guys in a few.”
About ten minutes later Jensen was leaning against the side of the pool in his bright red swim trunks, handing you the other half of his cookie cake piece.
“So any big plans for the wedding?” asked Jared, sat on the pool steps with Gen.
“I have a thought,” you said, turning to Jensen. “I haven’t discussed it with Jensen yet.”
“Vegas. Shotgun wedding,” he laughed. You shook your head and he grinned. “You’re thinking the farm, aren’t you.”
“What do you think? It could be outdoor or indoor, whatever it needs to be depending on the weather.”
“I’d love that,” he said, giving you a squeeze. “That’d be perfect for us.”
“You own a farm?” asked Jared.
“Yeah, ten minutes from the brewery.”
“Dudes. You can open bar with your own beer. Oh and dibs on being a groomsmen.”
“Like that wasn’t gonna happen,” said Jensen.
“I don’t know on that,” you said. Jared’s face fell and you shook your head. “Sorry. I didn’t mean that you wouldn’t be one. Of course you would. I just don’t have a lot of close girlfriends. I think it’d be weird if Jensen had a ton and…”
“I don’t think it’s weird,” said Gen. “We didn’t have an even number at our wedding.”
“We got time to figure that stuff out,” said Jensen, holding your waist. You finished the last bite of cookie and hummed.
“So you two having a kid?” asked Jared. Gen whacked his chest and he shrugged.
“Jesus, Jare. Don’t ask that.”
“They’re our best friends and godparents to our children...although I guess Y/N didn’t know that she inherited that until now but come on, I know you’re wondering too.”
“Shut up,” said Gen, crossing her arms. “Obviously if they decide, they’ll tell us when it happens.”
“Yeah, I think there’ll be at least one,” you laughed. Gen lit up and turned to Jared.
“Last time they said they were having a baby guess what we did? I can’t handle no more babies,” said Jared.
“Can you even get that thing up anymore?” teased Jensen, sipping on his beer.
“You’re one to talk, old man.”
“That shit still works just fine.”
“Just fine?” shot back Jared.
“Oh my God. You’re both good at sex. Y/N be grateful you’ve missed this same conversation over and over for the past sixteen odd years,” said Gen.
“I’m still taller,” said Jared with a smirk.
“I can last longer,” said Jensen with one of his own. They narrowed their eyes at one another and Jared stood up.
“Go wrestle on the grass,” groaned Gen. They both huffed and got out of the pool before starting to playfully wrestle. “See, what you may not realize yet is you have another child right there.”
“Yeah but he’s hot,” you said, Gen laughing while you sat beside her. “Do you guys really talk about sex with each other?”
“Yes and no. The boys are you know, boys. They’d combust if they didn’t tease each other. I wouldn’t say there’s like, intimate details or anything ever shared. They’re both pretty private about that sort of thing. Dee and I would talk but more so say we had fun the night before. Shit we probably talked about sex toys more than anything.”
You stopped mid sip of your beer and she laughed.
“When your guy is thousands of miles away for that long out of the year, you gotta get off on your own. You get pretty good at phone sex too. You’re lucky. Jensen won’t be staying away so long ever again he said.”
“No, no. But uh...before Jensen I’d had the same boyfriend forever and he was as vanilla as could be. We didn’t do that stuff really together.”
“I can text you some links to stuff. It’s not like you have to go in some scary store or anything. It’s discrete and I think a small vibe would be great to start with. You can use it during sex or foreplay or whatever. Just you know, have fun.”
“Jensen and I kinda got busted by the cops a week or so back for...activities in the backseat,” you said. She started to laugh and you groaned. “Thankfully it was his friend that caught us so he let us off the hook but...it was kinda fun.”
“Good,” she said, sighing as Jensen pinned Jared down. “Hey so yeah about that wedding thing. Jared had two more groomsmen than I had girls. It doesn’t have to be matchy, matchy, you know?”
“I know. I don’t know if…” you trailed off. “I lost my friend group when I broke it off with my last boyfriend. We’d been together for over ten years and I kept turning down his proposals and they didn’t like that. I have some nanny friends but not a lot and no one I’m really close to. I don’t know if I’d even get more than five people to come for me. Everyone else is his family and friends and I didn’t think about that until just now. I mean what would they think, seeing that? I don’t know if I even want anyone there now.”
“I think what they’d see is someone they care about marrying someone he loves. Just because we’re Jensen’s friends doesn’t mean we’re not your friends too. I know we’re still getting to know each other but we’ll be as close as those two eventually. Ruthie was texting me and we’re having a girls night the next convention in Dallas. You literally have a built in crew ready to go from the show, the girls and the guys. You are so coming with me to the next night I have with my local girlfriends and you got our family. You even got Dee’s parents. You have more than you know, sweetie.”
“I never had a best friend growing up except for my mom. Until Jensen,” you said. “I’ve never really been good at the friend thing.”
“Were you bullied in school?” she asked quietly.
“Don’t tell anyone besides Jared but my dad wasn’t a good person. He hurt me and so I was afraid of getting in trouble so I didn’t talk to other kids all that much until I got old enough to understand what he was doing was wrong and that’s how I ended up being adopted.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Can’t do anything about it now. But I can have it not control my life too. I’ve been pretty good since I was nine in that department. My mom dying sucked and things have been up and down but I like where I am now. This is easily the happiest I’ve ever been in my life.”
“Jens’s not perfect.”
“I know. But he’s good enough. He gave me a certain confidence to live my life, like really live it.”
“He’s alright,” she smiled. “You know I have an idea about this bridesmaids thing you might like.”
“You?”
“Oh I would for sure but I meant more so I know two little girls that wouldn’t mind. Maybe there’s a boy too,” she said.
“I’m gonna need you to be my wedding planner at this rate,” you said.
“Job accepted,” she said. “I say we go farmhouse modern style.”
“Gen. I got engaged like two weeks ago. We have time,” you said. “We don’t even have a date.”
“At the very least can we go dress shopping?” she asked.
“I’m going to regret this,” you sighed as Jensen stepped back in the water.
“Get yourself a stronger man, Padalecki. That one is weak,” he said. Jared followed him right after and went to tackle him when Gen caught his arm.
“Boys, not in the water,” she said.
“Chicken?” asked Jensen.
“Losers pick up the tab for when we go out this weekend for dinner. Deal?” asked Jared.
“Well in that case, you’re on.”
Two Weeks Later
“Jensen,” you said, carding your fingers through his hair while he absentmindedly burnt some eggs. “You okay babe?”
“Yeah. We ought to pack up the kids, get on the road soon if we’re gonna hit the beach.”
“I’m gonna drive, okay?” you asked. He nodded and you got out the eggs again, making up a new batch. “Do you want to talk to Ray?”
“Why?” he asked quietly, leaning back against the counter.
“Anniversaries of traumatic events can be triggering,” you said. “My mom died two days ago. Well, you know what I mean.”
“Why didn’t you say anything?” he asked.
“Because it doesn’t trigger me anymore. But it did and this is the first time...the first one is the roughest.”
“Yeah,” he said. “I ought to talk to him.”
“Eat your breakfast. I’ll give him a call and get the kids ready while you guys talk, okay?” you said.
“Thank you,” he said. You kissed his cheek and hugged him before you went upstairs for your phone. It rang a few times but Ray finally answered, noise in the background.
“Y/N. Everything alright?” he asked.
“Hey. Yeah. We’re...we’re pretty good. Today’s the first anniversary of Jensen’s-”
“Ah. I understand.”
“Listen, I know it’s a Sunday and you don’t work the weekends but would you mind talking to him for a few minutes? We’re going down to Galveston for the week in a bit but he’s off this morning.”
“I’d talk to him even if he wasn’t your fiance but especially because of that. You know we’re actually down here ourselves for a few days. Just got down yesterday. If you guys are around...maybe we could get together for that swim.”
“I’d like that. You okay?” you asked.
“I always get a little down on the day but Sarah understands. You understand.”
“Yeah. I’m gonna put Jensen on and um, maybe we can meet at Arillo’s for dinner?”
“We got a reservation there ourselves tonight. How many in your crew? Five? I’ll call and ask for an update.”
“Yeah there’s five of us. Um, Ray?”
“Yeah?”
“I’m sorry for being so horrible as a teenager after mom. You loved her as much as I did.”
“Thank you but you don’t have to apologize for that. You got too much pain in your life. I’m glad you found the good stuff too.”
“Are Geroge and Taylor there?” you asked.
“Yeah kids are here. Taylor’s got some internship but she does it online half the day and George is some research assistant thing for one of his professors but same kinda deal. We leave them to work in the morning while Sarah and I have some fun. Want me to let them know you’re coming?”
“Probably a good idea. Not sure how they’ll react,” you said, Jensen poking his head into the bedroom. “Here’s Jensen.”
“Okay, sweetie. We’ll see you guys soon.”
You handed the phone to Jensen and finished up packing while he sat on the bed. You tried to leave him be but couldn’t help listening in.
“Yeah I’m anxious...I don’t want her to drive down today...you know why...I guess...probably...I don’t want to be freaking out for three hours in the car...because it’s today...I know...I know...so I have to suck it up...I don’t want to have a panic attack in the car with the kids...no I haven’t...I’m scared I will though...yeah...I understand...dude that sounds so stupid...that’s not medically anything...no I don’t have my doctorate...I don’t wanna ask her...I said I don’t want to, not that I wouldn’t...I know...I will...maybe I’ll try that too...yeah, Y/N said the first year is the roughest too...I’ll let her be in charge until we get down to the beach today. I think I’ll feel better after the car...yeah I kinda figured out what she was doing planning a trip on today of all days...I need it...really? Yeah, I’m looking forward to meeting up down there too...thanks Ray.”
You finished with your suitcase and had his open for him when he walked into the closet. He swallowed and handed your phone back.
“All good?” you asked.
“Ray thought it might be a good idea if I had something of yours with me on the way down, to keep on me since I’m...anxious this morning about being in a car.”
“Something of mine…” you said, looking at your side of the closet. “Why don’t you pack up and I’ll get you something before the road, okay?”
He nodded and twenty minutes and about three bathroom trips later the SUV was packed up. You hopped behind the wheel, Jensen tapping the arm rest from the passenger seat.
“Here,” you said, reaching into your pocket, pulling out a bracelet. It was fabric, the kind made from craft string, white, rusty orange and a light tan color mixed together.
“I’ve never seen this,” he said as he held it between his fingers.
“I got it on vacation with mom and Ray. Last one we went on,” you said, tying it around his wrist. “You have it.”
He stared at you as you turned the engine on, watching you backout.
“This is too important for me to take,” he said quietly.
“It’s fabric. I want you to have it, okay?” you said, pulling onto the street and closing the gate. He nodded and you turned the radio on low. “Coffee run?”
“Yeah. Coffee sounds good right about now.”
You were only about fifteen or so minutes away from the beach house you’d rented. The kids were either taking naps in the backseats or watching a movie on the ipad. You risked a glance at Jensen, his fingers absently toying with the bracelet while he looked out the window, the radio on low.
“How you doing big guy?” you asked as you pulled off to the exit ramp.
“Pretty good now,” he said softly.
“Mind navigating for me?” you asked. He hummed and picked up your phone from where it sat in the console the past few hours. About twenty minutes or so you were stretching outside of the car, Jensen opening the front door of the house with the code you’d been given. The kids climbed out and were good about each taking their own backpacks while you and Jensen gathered up the rest.
“Come here,” he said, leaving the bags by his feet and kissing you against the side of the car. You grinned and he picked you up in a big squeezing hug. “I love you.”
“I know,” you said. He set you down and kissed you again. “You seem like yourself again.”
“I needed that push, get over that fear. But now, I can enjoy my day with my girl and my kiddos and apparently we are having dinner with Ray and his family tonight?” he asked.
“If that’s alright,” you said.
“One hundred percent,” he said, Arrow jumping up and down nearby. “Honey, go use the bathroom in the house if you have to go.”
“No I’m excited!” she said. “Can we go play on the beach? Pretty please?”
“Hm, give daddy fifteen minutes and then we can go?” he asked. She turned to you and grinned.
“We’ll go really soon sweetie. I promise.”
“Hey guys,” said Jensen an hour later, the five of you down on the beach and mostly watching them build a sandcastle together. “Y/N and I want to tell you something.”
“Is it that you guys are getting married?” asked JJ, patting some sand with her shovel. You glanced at Jensen and he shrugged. “You were talking to Aunt Gen and Uncle Jared about it last night, right?”
“Well, yes we were,” said Jensen. “I suppose we were a little louder than we thought. But yes, Y/N and I have decided to get married. We’re not sure when exactly but in the next year I can say.”
“So we have a mom again?” asked Arrow, fixing her corner of the castle that kept caving in.
“Well you guys are kinda lucky. You’ll get two moms,” he said. “How’s that sound?”
“We missed mom’s day,” she said with a sigh. “Right?”
“We’ll catch it next year, promise,” said Jensen. “Do you guys have any questions or anything you want to say?”
“Do we call you mom now?” asked JJ.
“You guys call me whatever you want,” you said.
“Can we call you mom?” she asked. You nodded and she went back to playing in the sand.
“Anything else guys?” asked Jensen.
“Can I get a giraffe?” asked Zeppelin while he figured out how much water to add to the sand to get it to stick together.
“No sweetie. They wouldn’t fit at our house,” said Jensen.
“Darn it,” he said.
“I can tell you’re all so invested in this topic,” chuckled Jensen.
“Oh! Can my flower girl dress be purple?” asked JJ.
“Your dress can be whatever color you want it to be,” you said.
“Awesome,” she said. “Or black and purple. With lightning stripes.”
“Ah, I knew the classic rock would finally pay off,” said Jensen.
“Maybe Daddy’s suit can be black and white stripes, like a tiger,” you said.
“Like a White Snake music video more like it,” he laughed. “We’ll figure all that stuff out. We wanted to make sure you guys knew was all and if you have any questions or were nervous or anything you know you can ask either one of us.”
“Mom makes you happy again. Of course you gotta marry her!” said Arrow. “Oh and get her a pony. Girls like that.”
“Would you care for a pony, sweetheart?” asked Jensen as he shook his head.
“Are we talking mustang kind of pony?” you asked.
“That’s my girl,” he said, wrapping an arm over your shoulders, kissing your cheek. “Let dad get a picture of you guys. We’re on vacation after all.”
Five Hours Later
“Jensen,” you said, changing into a light summer top and a pair of denim shorts after your shower. He was standing by his suitcase undressed, trailing his finger over his scar. “Honey?”
“A year ago was the worst day of my life and today was a really great one. I get to meet Ray more and even Sarah and the kids who all sound great and...I’m really happy I’m still here to see all this.”
“Me too,” you said, wrapping your arms around him. “Wear your red underwear.”
“Is that a request?”
“I like how you look when you take it off,” you said, gently smacking his ass as you went to go fix your hair.
“I am so grateful I found you,” he said to himself. You smiled and brushed your teeth quickly before checking yourself over and taking a selfie. You sat up on the counter and opened instagram, still silently grateful you’d always had it on private. There was nothing bad on it but Jensen and Jared had tagged you before and all of the comments always seemed to be negative.
“How do I look?” asked Jensen, walking in wearing a short sleeve navy button down and his red underwear.
“So sexy,” you giggled, Jensen digging through his other bag and finding his khaki shorts.
“Can I get away with sneakers and a backwards baseball cap at this restaurant?” he asked.
“Totally. We always eat outside. It’s near the pier,” you said, putting up your post.
“Taking more pictures I can show off of you again?” he asked, grabbing your brush and getting some control of his damp hair back.
“Nobody even sees my instagram hardly,” you said.
“You know the internet knows we’re dating, right.”
“I’m pretty sure your fans still aren’t okay with that fact, even if they know.”
“Oh you’re mistaking the nutjobs for actual fans. The real ones, those guys are cool and nice. I actually got a lot of care packages and things from them last year. Still do. They really are good people. Those other ones that leave nasty comments? Fuck them. That shit don’t bother me anymore.”
“What are you saying?”
“I’m saying family and friends know. Can I show off the woman I love to the world?” You wrapped your legs around his waist and pulled him in front of you, his head cocking.
“Yeah,” you said. “Better late than never.”
“Okay,” he said. “For now though, I’m looking forward to this dinner.”
“I hope it goes well. It’s George and Taylor I’m more worried about. They were kids when I decided to stop coming around. I only knew them maybe two years, if even that. I know they were upset.”
“Give them some credit. Ray raised them too after all.”
“I’m all set!” said Zeppelin, walking into the bathroom with his paw patrol shirt and nothing else on.
“At least I was gonna wear underwear,” chuckled Jensen. “Little dude. Get some undies on and shorts in the next two minutes or else…” he trailed off as he came in and hugged Jensen’s leg.
“I love you, daddy,” he said.
“I love you.”
“Can we get a giraffe now?” he asked. Jensen rolled his eyes and you released him.
“Let’s go finish getting you dressed, buddy.”
“So you guys were Sarah’s fosters?” asked Jensen towards the end of dinner, all three kids passed out asleep in the stroller or on the bench besides you while you picked at your shared dessert. Neither George or Taylor had said much aside from introducing themselves.
“Guys,” said Ray, nudging Taylor. “I’m sorry for our children’s rudeness. I was afraid of this.”
“Shut up,” they both said, Sarah sighing.
“The kids were both big fans of Supernatural. They grew up watching it with me. It was something we bonded over at first in fact,” she said.
“Oh,” said Jensen, a smirk forming on his face. “Sam or Dean girls? George come on buddy, it’s okay.”
“This isn’t happening,” said Taylor, her eyes squeezed shut.
“So you guys don’t want to hear about the movie, gotcha,” he said, both of them snapping their heads up.
“He really is a dork,” you said.
“Movie?” asked George.
“Someday. You can count on it,” said Jensen. “Maybe I’ll go easy on you guys and ask what mom was?”
“You boys are a little young for my tastes but honestly the guy who played John was very attractive,” she said.
“Even I’d hit that,” said Ray, Sarah laughing to herself.
“You can see Ray wins his ladies over with his charm,” you said, glancing at Taylor and George. “Like you guys could literally ask anything you ever wanted about the show and get an unfiltered answer if you want.”
“Did you really keep the car?” asked George. Jensen nodded and held up his finger.
“When we’re back in town, you guys come over and you can take a spin in it,” he said.
“Okay, he’s cool with me,” said George. You cocked your head and he smiled. “That was the car from the show I always told you about.”
“Oh. I thought you were talking about batman or something,” you said, pursing your lips. “Sorry I wasn’t…”
“You always sucked at pretending to be happy,” said Taylor. You looked down and nodded. “We get it. You had to do your own thing.”
“Don’t hate me for leaving?”
“Maybe when we were little,” she said. “But we’re older and we get that you probably felt like a fifth wheel.”
“Yeah. A lot really,” you said. “It worked out though.”
“She’s a Dean girl by the way,” said Ray, cracking up as Taylor whacked his arm.
“Dad! Oh my God no I’m not! I like Sam!” she said.
“Want to talk to him?” grinned Jensen. Her face went red and you heard a quiet chuckle at the table. “You’re right, we’ll save that for in person.”
“You basically are marrying Dean Winchester without like, the trauma,” she said. Jensen tensed up but kept a smile on his face. You knew Ray caught it when he gave him a simple nod.
“Trauma’s not inherently bad,” said Ray. “Everyone at this table has gone through some.”
“I know, dad,” she said quietly. She looked at George and he nodded. “Our parents were in a house fire. So were we. I was five and Georgie was four.”
“She carried him out and went next door for help,” you said.
“I was in a car accident last year,” said Jensen. You turned your head. It wasn’t public knowledge that he was in the car. He’d flat out told you that aside from family and a few friends, no one besides you knew. “I almost died. My wife did but for other reasons. You can still have trauma and a really good life.”
“Very good point, Jensen,” said Ray. “You two rugrats wouldn’t be around if mom and I had moped around in our misery forever.”
“Was he always such a sap?” asked George.
“From the day I met him,” you said, Jensen grabbing your hand under the table. “Would you mind watching the kids for a second?”
“Not at all,” he said. You excused yourself and brought Jensen along with you, walking out to the beach area, the breeze cool but light.
“You alright?”
“Yeah. I can talk about it now. I went from having the worst year of my life to one of the best. Nothing bad’s gonna happen for saying what really happened. I want to let all that shit go and have the rest of that really good life I was talking about.”
“For someone who keeps a lot inside I sure have noticed a difference in you the past few weeks.”
“To quote both of the loves of my life, I gotta let that shit out more regularly,” he said. You smiled and wrapped your arms over his shoulders, giving him a kiss.
“You know that’s what we call growth, babe.”
“I very easily could have gone the opposite way this year.”
“But you didn’t, cause you tried even though it sucks sometimes. I love you but I extra love happy you and you’re definitely a happier guy now than when I met you.”
“So are you, honey,” he said. “Must make a pretty good team or something.”
“Oh yeah, maybe that’s it.”
“We should honestly get like, married or something, you know?” he teased.
“First I have to know though, are you willing to do cookie cake for a wedding cake?”
“I’m willing to make that sacrifice,” he said. “The real questions is, are you willing to deal with the eventual dad bod that will happen as a result?”
“I love this bod, but I don’t love you for this bod,” you said.
“Thank you for today,” he said softly.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” you said. He grinned and kissed your cheek, hugging you tightly. “What are best friends for?”
“Everything?”
“Hell yeah they are Ackles.”

Matchmakers
Pairing: Alex X Reader
Warnings: None yet
Series Summary:
Since I joined the cast of Supernatural, 5 years ago, they have made it their mission to find me a boyfriend, but things haven't been exactly easy. But when a new face joins the cast, the Padaleckis, the Ackles, and the Collins take it upon themselves to use the hiatus to become matchmakers.
PART 1
The last couple of weeks have been pretty intense. With reshooting scenes, doing voice overs, and making sure everything is done for the season finale, I don't think there isn't any bone or muscle in my body that isn't crying for a good sleep. But of course there are stunts left to practice, and scenes that still need to be shot that I know will leave me broken, emotionally as well as physically.
"You look like crap" I hear Genevieve's voice before I even see her but then she appears next to me with a mocking smirk plastered on her face.
"That's what ending a season does to you" I sigh dramatically as I rest my back on the chair, a few bones craking. "Jared didn't say you were comming. Where are the kids?"
I lean forward, trying to look for them as Gen takes the seat next to me.
"Jared is somewhere showing off to Jensen how Odette is taller than Zep" Gen says, clearly not amused by her husband's childishness. "And Tom and Shep are playing with a helicopter Clif got them"
"As Odette's Godmother and Tom and Shep's favorite not blood related aunt, don't tell Danneel I said that, I deserve to see them first" I try to sound offended but Gen just rolls her eyes with a grin on her face. "Even before their father"
"So" Gen starts, and I already know the tone in her voice. "I've heard that you and Alex are getting along quite well"
"You and Danneel seriously need to find a hobby other than messing with my love life" I recriminate her with my eyes but she just laughs with a sparkle of guilt in her look. "She literally asked me that a couple of days ago"
"I'm just curious" She looks at me innocently but I know her better, her mind is already making some wicked plan. "You are single. He is single. It's just a thought"
"He is a really good friend, just that" I blush a little because I know that it's not just that. I mean, we are friends. But we are both aware that we are single so a couple of flirty comments have been exchanged, but nothing more. But Gen can’t know that. "He's okay, I guess"
"I've seen him, Y/N" Gen huffs, insulted by my way of minimazing how Alex really looks. "And 'okay' is not the word I would use to describe him"
"You are a married woman" I laugh but I know she is right. We've all seen Alex. He looks like the type of guy Disney would hire to play the prince in their next princess movie.
"But not a blind one" She coughs when we see Jared comming our way with Odette sitting on his shoulders, alongside with Alex and Jensen.
"Ladies" Jensen greets Gen with a soft kiss to the forehead, and sticks his tongue out to me. Classic.
"Aren't you guys supposed to be filming a scene?" I reach for Odette but Jared has to help me out since the height difference doesn't really allow me.
"Misha is currently running some lines with Ruth so we have a couple minutes to spare" I barely catch Alex's words over Odette's babbling.
"Oh, that's good, I guess" I smile at Alex and I can see from the corner of my eyes, the look that Jared, Jensen and, Gen are sharing.
"Hey, now that they are both here, maybe it's a good time to tell them, Gen" Jared looks down at her wife as Jensen’s grin spreads across his face as he shakes his head a little.
"Oh, yes!" Gen's eyes light up and she looks between Alex and I. "Jensen's family, as well as Misha's will be joing us for the break. We are going to our beach house there so we thought it would be a good idea for all of us to go together"
"We are all planning to meet at the airport to start the trip together from there" Jensen jumps in, catching my attention. "I could look for your tickets if you decide to come"
A couple of days by the beach don't sound bad at lot, even if the guys want to use it to play cupid. I definitely need a few days to unwind and to relax with a few piña coladas in my hand.
"I would love to" I nod at Jensen, and I catch Alex bitting his lips, as if his trying to hold back a smile.
"Yeah, me too" Alex looks up and smiles at me. "Count me in"
"It's going to be amazing" Gen smirks widly as she winks at me. "I promise"
-
"I love that kid but sometimes I want to strap him to a chair, I swear" Danneel grunts as Zep keeps running away from her, constantly almost bumping in all the people that are in our gate. "I don't know why he is not like his twin"
I eye up Arrow, who's sitting next to JJ with a bottle between her chubby hands as she watches her sister coloring.
"Maybe he gets it from his dad" I let out in almost a whisper so that Jensen can't hear me, but when I turn around, he's glaring at me. "I'm kidding"
"West was a lot worse, I felt like if I wasn't careful, he would jump through the roof" Vicky exhales and I honestly feel bad for this woman, I love those kids, but I know the energy that they have. I've had to babysit them and I had to preper myself emotionally for the wild ride that is taking care of 8 kids.
"Everyday you give me more reasons not to have babies" I laugh, even though I know I actually want kids. Eventually, tho. In a far future.
"Oh but we want a mini Alex" Gen grins, which makes Vicky and Dee laugh.
"You are seriously still on that?" I roll my eyes, trying to hold the smile on my face. "Not happening"
"Oh, come on" Dee insisted. "I've catch him looking at you or the other way around, or that time on set when you were all over each other"
"We were not" I gasp, looking around to make sure Alex can't hear us. "We are just friends, even if you girls don't believe it"
"We know you are just friends, honey" Vick giggles and it's so quick, I almost miss it. "We are just going to make sure it doesn't stay like that"
"You are evil" I try to sound irritated but I know the grin that is creeping through my face doesn't allow me to.
Suddenly Jensen stands up, catching everyone's attention. Even Zep who can't seem to stop bouncing on the top of his carry on.
"So I'm going hand out the tickets" He starts sorting the papers through his hands. He looks up at me and then at Alex. "Alex, Y/N, since you guys joined later I wasn't able to book the seats with us but you'll be together, at least" Off course we are.
"Don't corrupt my child, Y/N" Misha is the first one to speak, making everyone laughs as I just feel my cheeks getting red and warm by the second.
"Okay, they are boarding now" Jared grabs Shep's hand and pushes their carry ons with the other. "Let's go"
We all start walking towards the gate and I can tell the little joke going around between the families as they giggle and share looks as they watch Alex and I walking side by side. This feels like middle school. We walk through the jet bridge, the kids running between us as they chase each other. A few 'stop it' and 'be careful' are shared between the parents and the kids, which only gets them more giggles from the five older munchkins.
We greet the flight attendants at the door of the plane as they guide us to our seats. Dee grins at me as Alex and I walk pass her since our seats are not with them.
"I think these are ours" Alex point at two lonely seats at the last row. There are a few seats taken close to us but overall lonely, the closest person is two rows in front of us.
Can they be any more obvious?
"Do you want the window or the aisle?" Alex asks me as he opens the overhead bin to place our carry ons inside. As he does so, his arms flex, making his biceps pop. Oh Chuck. "Y/N?"
"Uh, window" I blush as I realize he caught me spacing over his muscles. "If you don't mind"
"Not at all" His sweet smile spreads across his face and I push myself towards the window before I space out again.
-
"Y/N" I feel a soft tapping on my shoulder but I just shrug it off, pushing my face deeper into my soft pillow.
"Y/N" Something nudges me harder this time so I groan, ready to murder who ever dared to wake me.
"What?" I open my eyes only to find a very humored flight attendant and Alex blushing as I'm basically using him as my private bed. I feel my cheeks getting red by the second as I try to make up some words. "Oh, God, I'm so sorry"
I try to apologize to Alex as I move myself as far away from him as I can, until I feel my back touch the window.
"It's okay" Alex laughs as he looks at the flight attendant as she is waiting for me. "Mhmm, you have to order, Y/N"
"Oh, yes! Sorry" I look at her with a guilty look on my face but she just smiles in return. "I'll have apple juice and..."
"Chicken or meat sandwich?" The flight attendant replies as she notices that I don't know the options.
"Chicken will do" I try to ignore Alex as I grab the plate from her. "Thank you, and again, sorry"
She mumbles a 'it's no problem' before walking away, leaving us in dead silence. Great, now you have to make small talk.
"So, how long did I sleep" I question Alex as I unwrap my meal. He choose the meat one which actually seems better than my option.
"About an hour, I think" He smiles a little and then proceeds to take a large bite of his sandwich. "I slept, too"
I can barely make out his words but I manage to understand him somehow. We finish eating in silence, occasionally letting out a chuckle at the movie that's playing in the tiny monitors in front of us.
"I think I'm going to check on the others" I close my table, grabbing the left overs in my hands.
I try to push myself between the front seat and Alex's legs so he notices and tries to make as much space as he possibly can. While I'm squeezing myself past him, all I can hope is that there isn't any sudden turbulence that would land me on top of him. Please.
I manage to make it to the aisle without throwing myself on top of Alex so I give myself a mental high five. I walk to the back of the plane where a flight attendant takes my trash and helps me dispose it.
I make my way to the main aisle, looking for my entire group, which I thought they'd be easy to find since they are traveling with 8 kids so that means noise. But I notice they're sleeping when I find them, except for Tom, who's playing something on his iPad.
"Hi" I kneel on the aisle, between Gen and Vic, trying not to make too much noise since I would probably get murdered by all the grown ups if I wake even one kid up.
"Oh, hey" Gen smiles at me tiredly and I know she was almost falling asleep. "How's everything back there?"
"Good" I nod my head more than I should've, totally acting normal. "Nothing out of the ordinary"
"That's not what I saw" Vic raises her eyebrow as she looks for something in her bag. She pulls out her phone and then looks for something until she is basically shoving it in front of our faces. "Looks like cuddling to me"
I gasp as I watch myself resting on Alex's side as he has his head on top of mine, just as asleep as I am.
"When did you take that?" I try to grab the phone but Vic is quicker, pulling it away from my reach.
"When I went to the bathroom" She throws the phone back in her purse, giving me a triumphant smirk.
"Not even a day into the trip and you are already getting busy" Gen teases me as she wiggles her eyebrows exaggeratedly.
"I fell asleep" I grunt, pushing my head between my hands. "I wasn't doing it on purpuse"
"Sure, sure" Gen nods her head, with a mocking tone in her voice.
"Okay, I think I'm just gonna go" I stand up as Gen rolls her eyes, muttering something about me denying the truth.
I walk back to my seat to find Alex watching something on his phone. He looks up at me and then proceeds to give me space to take my seat. I'm about to say something when the flight attendant speaks through the microphone. Her words are really hard to make out but I manage to understand that we are starting the landing process. "Finally" I sigh, putting on my seat belt.
"Good to know you enjoyed my company" Alex laughs, obviously teasing me.
"I didn't mean it like that" I roll my eyes. "Besides, you made a really good pillow"
"Good to know" He grins so before my cheeks give me away, I look out the window.
-
Before we left the airport to drive to the Padalecki's beach house, we decided to rent some cars. Obviously each family picked a car so Alex and I are sharing a car together. Just the two of us.
"So what are you must excited about?" Alex asks me as he drives while I look out the passenger's side.
"Just relaxing in general" I breath out as I catch a beautiful house in a distance which I asume is the Padelecki's. "You?"
"Just getting a little bit of sun" Alex slows down as we aproach the house, Jared driving in front of us and Jensen and Misha following behind. "I love Canada but I seriously need some warm weather"
"Tell me about it" I sigh as I feel the beachy breeze through the car window. "I can't wait to get off this clothes and into my bikini and just take all the sun"
"Make sure to invite me" Alex winks at me and parks next to Jared's. He's out of the car before I can even react.
I don't give myself time to blush because I'm Y/N. I can flirt if I want to. And he is not going to intimidate me. Well, at least I won't let him know that he does.
Alex comes up at my side, opening the door for me so I take my chance. "If you keep being such a gentleman, maybe I will" I hold myself by his bicep before giving it a light squeeze. I walk towards the others and I know Alex is walking behind me, trying to hold back a smirk. I know this because I am doing just that.
"Let's get the luggage inside so I can show everyone their room and then we could go down to the beach to watch the sunset" Gen suggest as Jared unloads their bags from their car.
"Y/A" Gen calls me as Alex goes back to the car to get our things. "The house has four rooms so we are all taking one so..."
"Let me guess" I roll my eyes as Jared and Gen share a guilty but totally on purpose look. "Alex and I are sharing"

Sooo, this is my first Supernatural story. I don't know why I chose Alex as my first because I'm usually a Sam girl, occasionally a Dean girl, too. This is the first part of the series, I don't intend to make it really long but we'll see as we go. Hope you like it and if you got any tips or recommendations, just let me know! English is not my first language so bear with me if I make any mistakes. Thanks ❤️

Imagine the fans being thrilled to find out you've been dating your now co-star, Alexander, for a very long time because they've been shipping you ever since your characters' first interaction in Supernatural.
“I'll tell you, we were just filming some episode that I don't really remember and I was having a break and I spotted Jared coming to me with that- with that-” Misha laughed, looking at the taller man “With that grin, you know that one? Yeah, the one that says I found my next victim! But I had no idea who he really meant!”
“He still even remembers every word I told him, I swear!” Jared said through his microphone and you giggled, understanding how true that could actually be.
“Absolutely! But I'll tell you, I never in my life imagined I would be teaming up with Jared Padalecki on pranking another person but oh times are really changing my friends!”
“Am I supposed to say you're welcome or something?” Alexander asked through his own microphone and you and everybody else laughed.
“Probably!” you told your boyfriend with a chuckle before looking back at the fans “Of course they weren't gonna let this perfect opportunity slip! I mean, they've known we were together ever since we, like... got together, yeah?” you asked, looking back at Alexander who nodded his head.
“Yeah, ever since- ever since the third date I think?” he chuckled and you giggled, nodding your head.
You grinned when you looked back at the fans that were 'aw'ing at the two of you “When all I wanted was to escape from them and have a romantic night with the guy I like and I just end up running into my living nightmare!” you breathed out and the boys laughed even more, Misha snickering.
“Needles to say-” Alexander spoke up, going serious for a moment “I booked a table for two but ended up taking two people back home!”
“Oh come on, you know you had more fun with me there!” Misha exclaimed as the fans laughed “I'm being honest! Admit it, the third date was the best one you've had with (Y/n) just because of me!”
“Just when I thought I could somehow escape from him, nope!” you shook your head “And now, that Alex works with us too it's all so much worse I feel like my dad is all the time around the corner spying on me!”
“I'll confess that- that me giving Alexander the speech about hurting (Y/n) and what I could possibly do to him, not to mention Jared and Jensen, was not really planned but-”
“You did what?” you breathed out, looking at the blue-eyes man with wide eyes before looking back at your boyfriend who just chuckled, shrugging.
“I will confess something too, when he threatened me that he'd be sending all of heaven after me if I did anything to (Y/n) sounded pretty intimidating!” he pointed out with a laugh “And I almost took a step back for a moment but then, I know there is no way possible that can happen so I don't have anything to worry.”
“Can I ask-” the fan continued with a giggle “What was really you guys' reaction to finding out Alexander would be on the show?”
“First, and I mean it first and freaking foremost we isolated their trailers. Like-” Jensen made face “Put them as freaking back and away as possible from the rest of ours. You- you can guess why.” he shrugged as you gasped, hiding your face on Alexander's chest as he chuckled and wrapped an arm around your shoulders, the fans laughing as well.
“Ackles!” you squeaked, laughing with red cheeks; glancing however at your boyfriend who winked at you knowingly. You hit his side with a small scowl and he only kissed the top of your head. Well, Jensen was joking about the first part but if only he knew about the second and how true it really was.
“I mean, we pretty much had our guns loaded and waiting ever since we found out they were together so that out of the way.”
“Oh yeah, and we had all of Crowley's torturing devices gathered, we were prepared for that!”
“It's both funny and scary because I too don't know if they're joking or are serious!” Alexander
“Then we pretty much started planing everything we could do to him, we already had a good few ideas. (Y/n)'s family to us, it's no surprise we'd act like that and threaten every guy she's seeing.” Jared shrugged with a grin “Being with her the longest Alexander has probably had to suffer the most, but nothing too much don't worry!”
“You're making his life a hell you guys!” you laughed, knowing that it was far from that only because you were used to the three of them. Any other sane person would have run away the first day with those two.
“It's all fine, as long as I have my heaven right here-” he kissed your forehead “And with me, then it's ok.” he grinned at you as he saw the shy smile on your face and how you just hid your face away when the fans went crazy and cheered for the two of you.
“Alright, next one! Cause this guy's made it his life's purpose to make me blush fifty shades of red today!” you giggled when he took hold of your hand and squeezed it, locking fingers with yours.
“Hey! Ok so my question is actually about Alexander.” she explained and you saw the guys put on the grumpy act.
“Again getting all the love! Do you guys even need us here?”
“Or are we bothering you? Should we probably leave too?”
“Guys!” you gave them a look as they snickered “Go on.”
She laughed as well “I wanted to say first and foremost that finding out about the two of you has been one of the biggest surprises of this season and we still are unable to comprehend it!”
“Yeah, I- I uh saw it was trending on twitter? All we did was upload a photo and it took down the entire internet, so sorry for that!” he laughed.
“Oh by all means, we loved that! Do it more often, it's both amazing to know you are together and sad that we don't get that many videos or photos and we have to rely to fanart.”
“Fan-fanart? Is that like the ones you've been showing me?” he asked you and you giggled, nodding your head as you squeezed his hand.
“Guilty pleasures here, but even if I didn't love Alex this much already, I knew I would have fallen head over heels for Jack anyway! I ship us, and I ain't even gonna hide it!” you said with a simple shrug as your boyfriend laughed next to you.
“And you're not the only one!” Jensen pointed out, glancing at Misha who shrugged innocently.
“I don't know what you're talking about but I am not going to be embarrassed for my choices and even more ships!” he said proudly and you grinned at him
“I have never agreed more, I think Jack really does have a soft spot for her! I tried not to let it show from the first moment but it'll get more obvious as time goes by, that I promise!”
“This is honestly so much more than I wished to hear, so I'm trying not to freak out now!” she grinned “But I don't think there is a person that can deny the connection between (Y/c/n) and Jack. And I wanted to ask you, is that or something else your favorite thing about being in Supernatural?”
“Oh uhm there are lots of thing to love about this show and- and this character, Jack, it's uhm it's all so much more than I expected, but all definitely pleasantly overwhelming. Even-” he chuckled “Even the pranks, that too I don't think I would be able to live without. But I know that the one thing I love more than anything about what- what this show has offered me, other than such an amazing new family, is-” he grinned, looking at you as you gave him a perplexed smile.
He looked back at the fans, shrugging innocently “It gave me the chance dream of a future family as I spend all the time I can get with my soulmate.” were all the words he needed to say before the crowd erupted into cheers and your eyes widened at his words.
“Wh-what?” you whispered as he gave you an adorable grin, leaning down to kiss your lips tenderly.
.
..
…
“You know you still will have to ask for my approval, right?” Misha raised an eyebrow, asked in a very serious voice tone.

40 Never Looked So Good
Title: 40 Never Looked So Good
Pairing: Jensen x Reader
Word Count: 1833
Warnings: PURE FLUFF!!
Summary: Reader makes a toast in celebration of Jensen’s Birthday.
A/N: This one is in celebration of Jensen Ackles 40th Birthday. I can’t believe he’s 40. Damn, how can a man be that attractive?! It should really be illegal. **Also, for the sake of this fan FICTION, Jensen is not married to Danneel. I love her and their family and would never do anything to disrespect them. ** Italic are the Reader’s speech. It should be easy to follow.
Disclaimer: Gif not mine.
**HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY JENSEN!!**
When did it happen? Where did it even begin? I wasn’t too sure, but one thing was certain, I had fallen in love with my best friend, the best man I’ve ever known. He had been there for me through everything, the good and bad, and in turn I’ve always been there for him no matter what. I was convinced that it was normal for best friends to be this close despite all the jokes about us being practically married always getting thrown our way. We shrugged it off knowing that our relationship was strictly platonic, even though I secretly wished it wasn’t. He was my best friend and I was his.
Way back then, Jay had no idea how madly in love with him I was, but Jared wasn’t one to be fooled. He had instantly become one of our best friends when Jay got the role of Dean Winchester. The three of us even shared an apartment together. Gosh, those were some crazy times. I still have the scars to prove it, mentally and physically.
The crowd laughed, Jensen and Jared sharing a look as the taller of the two patted the other’s shoulder.
I remember the time when Jensen met Danneel. Man, how I wanted to hate her but it was impossible. How she managed to do that? I don’t know. Then they started dating! I was completely furious with their relationship and especially myself for not being able to hate this perfect woman! I know, I’m something else!
More laughter ensued. Danneel lowered her head in hopes to hide the tinge of pink spreading through her cheeks. Misha rubber her back, chuckling softly. “Your ears are red,” he whispered, Danneel, lightly hitting his chest with her clutch purse. You giggled at the sight.
But really, unable to hate her, I eventually moved into a new apartment and shut myself out of his life despite all of his attempts to pull me back in. I am not going to lie; it was the hardest thing I ever had to do in my entire life. I had become a terrible friend and even to this day, I can’t forgive myself. Thinking back, I’ve hurt a few of the people I loved the most, and still love. If it wasn’t for Dee, I don’t think we’d all be the kind of friends we are today.
While I was no longer in Jensen’s life or he in mine, things weren’t going well for Jay and Dee, and eventually it didn’t work out between them. I’ve heard the story from both of them and I am not ashamed to say that I cried like a little… B-word (there’s children around), and as guilty as I felt knowing that they couldn’t be happy together because of me, I no longer have an inch of guilt left in me. If it wasn’t for Danneel, I don’t think that Jay and I would ever be this close, I don’t think all of us would be this close. It was Dee that got us together, as weird as that seems. She is literally an angel.
I will admit, I can never repay her for what she did for us. Not only did she sacrifice her chance at love, she had a plan to get me and Jay together. Locking us together in his room was one hell of an idea. How she managed that was beyond me, the timing was impeccable.
I can remember it like it was yesterday even if it’s been about 20 years ago. Dee called me telling me that Jensen was hurt and that it was bad. I remember the fear I felt. I’ve never drove so fast in my life. Yeah, I see you over there, Dad, don’t shake your head at me. It was an emergency… or so I thought.
When I got to his and Jared’s apartment, I rushed right to his room. When I got to his bedroom door, a heaping mess, I almost ran into Dee. She sent me a sad but yet, content, smile before placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder. Before she left, she whispered in my ear. Those words… I could never forget what she said to me.
“He’s in love with you, got get’em tiger.”
Your voice cracked a little at the memory, Jensen taking hold of your hand and squeezing it tight, Danneel doing the same with your other hand.
I proceeded into his room as Dee closed the door behind me. Jay was hunched over, his face buried in his hands when I sat next to him. Just seeing him like that made my heart ache. He really looked hurt. When he lifted his head up, the look he gave me made my stomach drop and the butterflies swirl around like a hurricane all at the same time. It was the first time I’d seen him in over 3 months. I was going to tell him how sorry I was when he engulfed me into his arms. At that moment, I broke down hard. I missed him so much that being held by him was too overwhelming. It felt like years since I’ve felt that safe, warm, content, like everything was going to be okay. I was a mess those 3 months I had been away from him and I don’t think I could ever do that again, nor do I ever want to.
We stayed in his room all day as well as all day the next day, cuddled in his bed, only leaving to use the bathroom or grab a snack. It was one of the greatest days of my life. Being wrapped up and consumed by the man I was still head over heals for again was like a dream come true.
After that, things were different – a good different. Everything felt different. We were different. Jay looked at me different, and I could tell that he finally saw my true feelings for him for the first time. No words were needed, it was just… we just knew.
Few months later, as fast as that may seem to some of you, but I’ve known him for most of my life, he had proposed to me in front of all of our family and friends. We weren’t even officially announced as boyfriend and girlfriend before he asked me to marry him. It was like we were still best friends who cuddled more, hugged more, and kissed a lot.
You giggled, the room joining you.
But yeah, he asked me to marry him and my answer? Babe, you wanna tell this part?
“Yeah,” Jensen agreed, standing from his seat between you and Jared. “She told me, ‘is that even a question? Just put a ring on it,’ and so I did.” The room erupted into laughter, along with you and your friends at your table. “Right then, there was not a doubt in my mind that she was the one for me,” Jensen added, leaning down a little to place a chaste, yet loving, kiss on your lips before reclaiming his seat.
Of course I did the whole stereotypical girl crying bit, c’mon now, I’ve got emotions! So yeah, that was my way of saying yes.
The wedding came quickly and our family started. I was now Mrs. Jensen Ackles with our first child on the way. Everything was just perfect, including all the up and downs we had, but we worked them out. We are best friends after all. Even when we weren’t married, we could never leave the day mad at each other, so you could only imagine how tough it was during that 3 months without each other.
With one beautiful child, two more came. Our beautiful twins. Jensen had literally given me everything. He gave me the world. He gave me a life worth living and gave me purpose. Not to sound like I’m idolizing him or anything, but he’s my everything. I feel like God has blessed me with this man, and I know… even if weren’t together I’d still be just as blessed. I know that despite being apart for those 3 months, we would have eventually gotten back together as friends and things would have worked out. Even not together, we would have ended up happy, but I am SO glad that we are. I am so happy that we’re married, partners for life.
You looked down at him, capturing his mossy green orbs with your deep ones.
You have been nothing but a gentleman the whole time I’ve known you, and sweetheart, that’s a long time. You’re caring, kind, compassionate, passionate in more way than one, selfless, talented, adventurist, brave, and so much more. So. Much. More. You are so good with our children that I can’t even begin to explain. You are like Superman but better, no, you’re not a superman, you’re a super human. JJ, Zepp, and Arrow are so lucky to have you as their father, and I’m lucky to have you as my man.
Everyday I’ve been with you has been nothing but the best days of my life, even when we’re going through a tough time, it lets me know how strong we are together. I am so happy to have you in my life, to be able to call you my husband and the father of our children. You’re amazing!
Happy Birthday Babe. 40 never looked so good.
Everyone cheered, raising their glass just as you did, shouting Happy Birthday and other incoherent things, Jensen smiling widely as the corner of his lips reach his eyes. God, you were so in love with this man. Your best friend forever and eternity.
**Alternate Ending**
Everyday I’ve been with you has been nothing but the best days of my life, even when we’re going through a tough time. It lets me know how strong we are together. I am so happy to have you in my life, to be able to call you my husband and the father of our four children. You’re amazing!
Happy Birthday Babe. 40 never looked so good.
The room went silent, everyone seeming to catch your little announcement, except for Jensen. Jared, Danneel, Gen, Misha, and Victoria were staring with wide eyes and smiled that overtook their entire faces. Jensen had yet to realize anything.
“Son, don’t make me beat you up in front of your wife, kids, and friends!” Jensen’s father shouted from the table next to ours.
Not even a second after Jensen’s eyes widened with uncertainty, whipping his head backwards to look at Jared who’s face said it all.
He turned back to you, his majestic green eyes boring into yours before dipping downwards at your flat stomach. “Did you just say father of four?”
You grinned. “I sure did.”
Tears welled in his eyes before he crashed his lips into yours, love overflowing through you. God, you were so in love with this man. Your best friend forever and eternity.Everyone cheered, raising their glass just as you did, shouting Happy Birthday and other incoherent things, Jensen smiling widely as the corner of his lips reach his eyes. God, you were so in love with this man. Your best friend forever and eternity.
Feedback Would Be AWESOME!

Acting Your Age (Part 6)
Summary: The reader spends Thanksgiving with the Ackles family for the first time but not everyone is eager to meet the new girlfriend...
Masterlist
Pairing: Jensen x reader
Word Count: 5,200ish
Warnings: language, age gap, angst
____
“Alright,” you said on the phone while Jensen drove into some Dallas suburb. “Mhm. Say hi to everyone. I’ll talk to you later.”
You sighed when you hung up, Jensen chuckling to himself.
“Your mom missing you for Thanksgiving already?” he asked.
“Apparently. It’s not like we went down on Sunday to have dinner with them or anything,” you said.
“Well Christmas you’ll be all theirs,” he said, turning down a side street, parking behind a car on the side of the road. “Ready to go face them?”
“Uh, still a hard nope,” you said as you undid your seatbelt. You both got out of the car, following him to the trunk.
“You get the dessert, I’ll get the bags,” he said. You swallowed and reached in to grab the platter, Jensen slinging a few bags over his shoulder. “Hey.”
He grabbed your hand and gave it a squeeze.
“Don’t be scared, kiddo,” he said. “You’re shaking like a leaf.”
“My parents are one thing. I mean, they already knew you and I had older boyfriends before,” you said. “The biggest age difference you ever had was a few years, not-”
“Y/N,” he said, cupping your cheeks with both hands. “Relax. I love you. My family will love you. I’ve told them you’re a little bit younger than me already. They’re good people. Sarcastic, but good people. Please don’t be afraid.”
“What if it goes to shit?” you asked.
“Trust me,” he said, giving you a quick kiss. “I promise.”
You took a deep breath and nodded, picking up the platter, hanging back some as Jensen shut the trunk and started to walk up a driveway. You caught up with him, Jensen barely opening up the door before it flung open the rest of the way.
“Jensen!” said an older woman with a big smile, her gaze going to you, a curious look on her face. “You must be Y/N. I’ve heard a lot about you.”
“Nice to meet you,” you said more quietly than you were hoping for. Jensen gave your hand a squeeze as she gave him a hug and took the platter off of you, giving you a side hug as well.
“Jensen, drop those bags off up in your old room,” said his mom. He took off, his mom looking over the plate. “Did you make these?”
“Yes. Jensen said no one has any food allergies so I made some sugar cookies,” you said, her head tilting again. “He said that was okay.”
“Sure…” she said, whacking Jensen when he came back downstairs.
“Okay, I’ve been home less than a minute. What could I have done wrong?” he asked.
“She’s nervous,” she whispered. “What did you tell her?”
“Nothing!” he said, grabbing your hand. “We’re both a little nervous.”
“Well get unnervous before your brother pounces. You know how he is,” she said. She headed down a hall and you followed towards the back of the house, finding the family spread out in an open kitchen and family room area, every head in the room turning your direction. “Everyone, this is Y/N.”
“Hi,” you said quietly, giving a small wave that you cringed at yourself for doing. A guy a little taller than Jensen with a similar kind of build walked past with a beer in his hand. You could tell he wanted to make a comment but he kept his mouth shut as he kept going. Conversation started back up and Jensen pulled you into the kitchen, his mom going back to a stove as an older man approached the two of you.
“Y/N, this is my dad. Dad, this is Y/N,” said Jensen, putting on a smile.
“How old are you?” he asked.
“Twenty six,” you said, the conversation in the room dropping again. You glanced at Jensen, ready to bolt for the door if his hand hadn’t been wrapped around it. You could feel the tension in the air before a kid in the family room laughed and people started talking again.
“You’re younger than I thought you’d be,” he said.
“Yeah,” you said, starting to gnaw on the inside of your cheek.
“Well wine’s on the counter and beer’s in the cooler in the garage,” he said.
“Is that really all you’re gonna say?” asked Jensen quietly.
“I think the both of you need a drink before one of you keels over. You look like you’re walking into a funeral,” he said.
“Dad-”
“I don’t give a shit how old she is, no offense,” he said to you. “I don’t know if you’re aware but you make my son happy. Obnoxiously and annoyingly happy to the point where sometimes during his weekly calls, I’ll put the phone down and just walk away only to come back and find he’s still talking about you. It’s cute. I haven’t seen him like this over a girl since he was a teenager. So that must make you pretty important and nobody here is going to care how old you are. You two got that?”
“Okay,” you said with a nod, Jensen shrugging.
“Help your mother, Jensen,” he said, waving you to follow him. He went past and you looked back at Jensen. “We’re not the Mansons, kid. Come on. I see this is going to be like pulling teeth.”
“Here,” said his mom, rolling her eyes and handing you a glass of red wine. “Leave the poor girl alone.”
“No, no. I’m just introducing her to the rest of the family is all,” he said, putting a hand on your shoulder, leading you away from the kitchen.
After ten minutes you had most everyone’s names down and had started to feel a bit better. Until Jensen’s dad wandered off and you were stuck standing there with his older brother.
“So where’d you guys meet? The playground?” he joked, taking a sip from his beer.
“Um, my brother’s party. Jared, who did the show with Jensen-”
“I know who Jared is,” he said.
“Yeah, so, uh, Jared’s my older brother. I’d just moved back home from the UK. I’m living with him right now,” you said.
“Never heard of you,” he said.
“I wasn’t really super close with my family until recently,” you said with a nod.
“Cool story,” he said, giving you a glare. You bit your cheek again, excusing yourself to the kitchen.
“Can I help with anything?” you asked his mom.
“Oh no. We got it. You’re the guest,” she said. You forced a smile and headed back to the family room, making sure to stay clear of his brother.
“Y/N,” said Jensen after dinner as you were helping wash some plates. “You okay? You’ve been quiet all day.”
“I don’t think your brother likes me,” you said.
“He doesn’t even know you. How could he not like you?” he asked as he dried off a plate.
“I got the feeling was all,” you said, handing him another plate.
“Hey,” said his dad, slapping you both on the back. “Fire in the backyard is going so whenever you two are done, come on out.”
“Thanks, dad,” he said, looking over his shoulder as he walked away, catching his brother staring at you. “Hey, Josh. Come here a sec.”
“Jensen,” you mumbled. “Don’t.”
“Yeah?” his brother asked, Jensen spinning around when the house was quiet.
“You don’t like Y/N?” he asked.
“I never said that,” he scoffed, his brother giving you a dirty look.
“Well you seem to be the only person she’s actively avoiding,” he said.
“Maybe she doesn’t like me,” he said.
“Jensen, it’s fine. I’m sorry, Josh,” you said, glaring at Jensen.
“It’s not fine and don’t apologize to him,” said Jensen. “You don’t have to like everyone but don’t be an asshole and write her off because she’s younger than me.”
“She’s living at home with her rich brother. Why do you think she’s with you, Jay? It’s not that hard to figure out,” he said. Jensen scowled but you could tell he was upset, more so than you’d ever seen before.
“Hey,” you said, stepping up to his brother. “I love your brother. You don’t have to like me and you can think whatever you want about me and why I’m with him. I know why I am and so does he and that’s all that matters. But please don’t upset your brother.”
You put the last plate down on the counter and brushed past them both.
“Y/N,” said Jensen.
“I’m kind of tired from the drive. Maybe I’ll come down to the fire later,” you said, still walking until you found the stairs and got up them, looking in open doors until you found a small bedroom with your bags on top of a bed. You smiled as you looked around, some pictures still up from when Jensen was younger but it was obvious the space was used more as a guest room now for when he came to visit. You pushed the bags to the floor and lay down, frowning after a moment and going to Jensen’s duffel, pulling out his hoodie and pulling it over yourself. You could smell him on it and you felt a bit better with it on.
“Y/N,” said Jensen, knocking on the door a few minutes later. “Can I come in?”
You didn’t say anything and you heard the door open, Jensen sighing when you had your back to him.
“Apologize, asshole,” said Jensen. You sat up and turned around, his brother standing next to him, looking you up and down. “Hey. Now.”
“You know he’s had girlfriends before that were only after one thing and it wasn’t him,” said his brother. “You know that?”
“Yes,” you nodded, glancing at Jensen. “But I can’t prove you wrong.”
“Apologize or leave,” said Jensen, his brother seeming to ignore him.
“No. You can’t,” he said. “I don’t know how you got him so good so fast but you do.”
“Yeah, well,” you said, sniffling your nose, wiping off your face before you started crying. “I’m just some slut after his money. You know, you can think that about me if you want. Go ahead. But think about what the hell that means you think of your brother. Do you think he’s stupid? That he just cares about sex?”
“No,” he said.
“Well that’s what you’re telling me when you think that about me. So think what you want but don’t you dare disrespect your brother,” you said, scrunching up your face. “You tell him you don’t think those things about him.”
“I don’t,” he said.
“Well good,” you said, wrinkling your nose and staring down at the bedspread. “Please go away.”
You heard him leave and saw the bed dip, one of Jensen’s hands sliding over to you.
“I told you,” you said, pulling his hood down to cover your face, tucking your knees into your chest to hide them. “I told you for weeks what your family would say about me.”
“Josh is being an overprotective dumbass right now,” he said. “He’s always been that way with me. He’s scared for me. He doesn’t want me to get hurt again is all.”
“I don’t want you to get hurt!” you said. “And look what happened anyways.”
“The only thing that hurt me was him. You’re crying in here because of him. Someone I love hurt someone I love and that fucking pisses me off,” he said. “Maybe I made mistakes before but no one would ever have stood up to my brother and told him to stop hurting me. You only cared that he wasn’t hurting me. He’s an idiot if he doesn’t realize you were trying to protect me just now.”
“I’ll be okay,” you sniffled. “Go hang out with your family. I know you haven’t seen them in a while.”
“I don’t want to hang out with them. I want to hang out with you,” he said, scooting closer on the bed, wrapping his legs and arms around your back, pulling you into his chest.
“Why on earth would you want to hang out with someone like me?” you said into his shirt. He pushed back your hood and tilted your chin up.
“I love you, kiddo,” he said, a small smile on his face before he kissed you. “He’s just gonna have to get fucking used to you being around.”
“He’s your brother.”
“You’re my girl,” he said. You smiled and gave him a hug, resting your head on his shoulder. He ran his hand up and down your back, making you all kinds of warm and helping you calm down.
A knock on the doorframe made your eyes pop up, Jensen’s dad looking back.
“Well that doesn’t look good,” he said. You ducked your head down, Jensen staying close as he turned his body some, his dad coming in and sitting down on the end of the bed.
“I don’t think Josh and Y/N are going to be the best of friends is all,” said Jensen.
“Go get your brother for me, would you?” asked his dad.
“I don’t think Y/N’s in the mood for anymore fights,” he said.
“There ain’t gonna be no more fights,” he said. “You kids have a fight, you make up. No one goes to bed mad, that’s been the rule since before you even existed. Now go get your brother.”
Jensen sighed but let go of you, heading out of the room. His dad tapped your knee, your gaze flickering over to him.
“You want to tell me what’s going on before the buttheads get back?” he asked.
“I think Josh is being protective of Jensen is all. It’s okay. I’m the one that overreacted,” you said.
“Maybe. Maybe not. You don’t have to like each other but you respect each other, understand?” he asked. You nodded, feeling his eyes on you. “You care about him.”
“He’s my best friend,” you said.
“I don’t think he ever dated his best friend before,” he said. “Other pretty girls. Some nice girls but never his best friend.”
“I don’t really understand what you mean,” you said.
“He’s been in love with a pretty girl before. He’s never been in love with his best friend, not until now. There’s a difference. There’s a big difference,” he said.
“What’s your honest opinion of me?” you asked.
“I think you’re a bit younger than we were expecting. But you care about protecting him, even if it hurts you. Kid, I don’t care how old you are. Honestly. But we’re not gonna go through you feeling second class around here because of what year you were born,” he said.
You nodded as you heard the boys come up the stairs, Jensen glaring at his brother as he stepped inside.
“You’re a grown man. Use your words. What’s your problem with Y/N?” asked their dad.
“Nothing,” he said.
“Yes. Clearly,” he said, waving at you. “Try that again.”
“You’re really shitty at finding girlfriends,” he said, turning to Jensen. “When you were younger, it was all normal stuff and I didn’t worry. But since the show got big, you got money. You got some sway in that business stuff and how many girlfriend’s since then have pretended to like you just get stuff? All of them.”
“Some of them liked me,” said Jensen quietly. “They just weren’t ever going to work out.”
“And you think the twenty something is? I know she’s Jared’s sister but come on, be smart. How do you know she isn’t pulling the same thing?” he asked.
“Because I do,” said Jensen.
“You’re still as gullible as ever,” he said.
“If she hurts me then she hurts me. That’s not your fucking problem,” said Jensen.
“She’s just like the others! Why on earth do you think she’s hanging out with a guy as old as you?” he said.
“Sorry. I didn’t realize me being happy pissed you off so much,” he shot back.
“Boys,” said their dad as he stood up. “Josh. Maybe try getting to know Y/N before you make assumptions about her.”
“She already said she can’t prove me wrong,” he said.
“Yeah and she asked you more than once to stop hurting me. Not her. Me. Yeah, she must be some horrible person to try and defend me like that at her own expense,” said Jensen, stepping into his brother’s face. “But I’m just an idiot that no woman would ever want for me, right? That’s the point you’re really trying to get at, isn’t it? I’m just a good looking dumbass that has nothing to offer except money and connections, right?”
“Jensen-”
“Come on,” said Jensen, grabbing the bags from the floor. “Y/N, come on. We’re going home.”
“Jay,” said his dad as he righted himself.
“Thank you for proving our fears right,” he said, grabbing hold of your hand when you stood. “Don’t expect us to stop by for Christmas.”
“Jensen,” his dad and brother said as he pulled you down the hall and downstairs, outside and shoving your things in the trunk quickly. He was in the driver’s seat before you had a chance to blink. He honked the horn and you jumped in the passenger side, Jensen already down the road when you saw his dad step onto the front porch.
“Jensen,” you said, reaching over and grabbing his hand. He let out a sigh and turned down a few streets, parking in a small parking lot for a park before he shut off the car and rested his head against the wheel. “Honey.”
“I don’t want you around someone that makes you feel like that. I know you could care less about money and the spotlight and fuck him,” said Jensen.
“He’s trying to protect you. He went about it in a bad way but that’s all he’s doing,” you said.
“Why? Because he knows I’m pathetic?” he said with a shrug.
“Jens.”
“My siblings are all married, they all have kids. I was feeling good you know? I didn’t show up alone this year, maybe I’m not hopeless after all. And he just…” he said.
“Never talk about yourself that way again,” you said, leaning over and giving him a hug. “There’s nothing wrong with you. You’re mine and I’m so happy you are. This is the happiest I’ve been in a long, long time, Ackles. Maybe not tonight but I’m not going anywhere.”
“Maybe there is something wrong with me,” he said, lifting his head up, turning to face you. “Jared did the show too and he managed to find someone. Maybe it’s just me.”
“You found someone,” you said. “I’m right here. There’s nothing wrong with you. You worked hard and you got dealt a few bad hands. You’re kind and intelligent and you have helped me enjoy life again. There’s not a damn thing wrong with you, understand me?”
He nodded and rested his head on your shoulder. You rubbed a hand up and down his back, spotting a car pull into a parking spot nearby, Josh climbing out.
“Stay here, honey,” you said, pulling away and out of the car like that, storming over to meet him. “Leave him alone.”
“No offense but you’re not really gonna stop me,” he said, walking past you. You jumped in front of him, stopping him from opening Jensen’s door. “Move.”
“No. You have no idea how much crap you stirred up for him so you can leave him alone until he gets it out of his system,” you said.
“I said move.”
“I said leave him alone,” you said, staring up at him.
“Fine. You come with me,” he said, nodding as he walked onto the sidewalk. You paused for a moment but followed him, his brother quiet.
“You’re not like, gonna murder me, are you.”
“No,” he chuckled. “No. I came to apologize but since you’re willing to rip my head off, I should probably apologize to you first.”
“I’m not after your brother’s money,” you said.
“Yeah, I sort of got that after I realized he had a point,” he said, shoving his hands in his pockets. “Listen. I’m sure you think I’m a dick, rightfully so. But I’ve seen him been taken advantage of over and over and over again. I mean, I was going to be skeptical of the new girlfriend whoever it was but then seeing how young you are...it made it pretty clear in my mind you only wanted one thing.”
“All I want is your brother to be happy,” you said, crossing your arms as you walked.
“I know. I don’t think you’re a slut or money hungry or...I’m sorry for being a jerk. It was wrong,” he said.
“It’s fine,” you said with a shrug.
“No, it’s not,” he said. “You were a guest. You’re someone my brother cares a lot about. I was rude and ignored you and I ruined your first time meeting us when you were chicken shit scared to walk in that door. But you did it for him. You probably have to put up with a lot just because you’re dating him and not some no name guy.”
“It doesn’t matter who the person is. You put up with stuff no matter what,” you said.
“Like asshole big brothers?” he smiled.
“You need to have a serious conversation with Jensen. There’s probably going to be some groveling involved,” you said.
“I haven’t even started groveling here,” he said.
“Well, I’m getting used to people not liking me. Just make up with your brother,” you said.
“I don’t not like you. I don’t know you,” he said.
“I would try being kinder to people you don’t know from now on. World would be a better place,” you said, catching Jensen get out of the truck. “Go talk to him. I’ll be in the park.”
“Hey,” you heard about half an hour later, the two guys wandering over to where you were hanging out on a swing.
“Hey,” you said. “You guys talk it out?”
“Mhm,” said Jensen, nudging his brother.
“I feel like I didn’t finish apologizing to you. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot of each other and I want us to be friends...not just people who say hey at holidays. We’re a pretty close family and I don’t really know how to make it up to you yet but I’m really sorry,” he said.
“Why don’t you two go to lunch tomorrow? You don’t have work, right?” asked Jensen.
“You’re not going shopping with the girls?” Josh asked you.
“Not a huge fan of shopping,” you said.
“I like you already,” he said with a smile.
“How about Uncle Jensen spends some times with the kids while you two take a few hours, hang out, try to realize you’re both overly protective of me and I love you both so please get along before I have to kick Josh’s ass?” asked Jensen.
“You can’t kick my ass,” he said.
“Pretty sure I could,” said Jensen.
“Guys. Uh, yeah, we can try that before we escalate to ass kicking,” you said.
“Good. Let’s get back before they send out a search party for us.”
“Well how did it go?” asked Jensen when you got back to his parents place the next day. You huffed as you looked at Josh, getting a dirty look back. Jensen’s face dropped but you started to smile, his brother chuckling. “I hate you both.”
“It was Y/N’s idea,” said Josh.
“Was not! It was totally his,” you said.
“I like her more than you. At least she can race a go kart,” he said.
“You took her go karting?” asked Jensen.
“Yeah. It was fun,” you said. “We were talking on the way home and said for Christmas we should get everybody to go. We were gonna stop down the weekend after. We thought it’d be a good idea.”
“That sounds fun,” said Jensen, smiling as his brother excused himself. “It really go okay?”
“Well it was awkward for the first ten minutes but we talked and we both care about you a lot and he really relaxed once we got that out in the open that we’re on the same side,” you said.
“I’m happy you could work it out,” he said.
“You feeling any better today?” you asked, getting a nod from him.
“Yeah. My parents really like you. They’re friends with your parents so I guess they kinda like already knew about you more than I knew. Your mom and my mom talk about their single kids to each other a lot apparently,” he said.
“That’s kind of cute,” you said.
“My dad says I better pray I never piss you off,” he chuckled.
“You can piss me off. But I’ll stick up for you too,” you said.
“I love you,” he said, kissing the tip of your nose.
“Well isn’t that adorable,” said his dad as he walked by.
“Excuse him. He’s senile,” said Jensen.
“I like him,” you said.
“Excuse, Jensen. He suffers from that middle child syndrome. He used to tell us as a kid that he had emotional pain from it whenever he wanted something,” he said.
“You did not,” you said.
“I had to get something out of it,” teased Jensen, his dad ruffling his head. “At least I didn’t wind up as the baby.”
“You were the baby for seven years, kiddo. You’re still baby boy,” he said.
“I’m a grown man,” said Jensen.
“Hey, Y/N. We didn’t show you embarrassing childhood photos of Jensen yet, did we? That’s my favorite part.”
“I hate all of you.”
Four Days Later
“Hey,” said Jensen when you curled up next to him on the couch that night, throwing your arms and legs around him. “You okay?”
“Yeah,” you said, resting your head on his shoulder. “Just happy to be home.”
“I’m so sorry about how things went on Thanksgiving,” he said.
“S’okay. I’m not going to be upset over the fact that you have as protective of a big brother as I do,” you said.
“I guess that’s what we get for being the little siblings,” he said, nuzzling his cheek against yours. “I know why you’re really here.”
“The cuddles,” you said with a smile, Jensen laughing to himself.
“Obviously,” he said, picking up the TV remote and turning it on mute. “I wanted to talk to you about something.”
“Shoot,” you said.
“That acting job I wanted I talked to you about a few months ago. They made a final decision. I got it,” he said.
“I told you you’d get it! I’m so proud of you,” you said, giving him a kiss. He smiled and ducked his head down, turning his head away for a moment before he sighed and looked back. “What?”
“It’s for a Netflix show. Eight episodes. I’ll be gone for about four months,” he said. “It films in Vancouver.”
“Oh,” you said, Jensen looking away again.
“Long distance is hard,” he said. “Jared and Gen did it for years. I know how hard it can be. I’ve done it before. It always drove us apart.”
“Jensen,” you said, grabbing his chin and turning him towards you. Big green eyes stared back at you, worry all over them. “What part of you’re mine Ackles don’t you understand? It’s only four months. We can get through it.”
“I love acting. I love telling stories. It’s not just four months. This is my life forever. Cons start back up again next year and that’s weekends away and part of this will always have that long distance element and-”
“If you don’t love me anymore, I’ll go. But I can handle this. We can handle this. I can come visit you. You can visit me. We can facetime and skype and send flirty texts all day and I want you to have this job. You don’t have to give me up, ever,” you said.
“I’m just scared it’ll be too much. What if the spotlight comes back on me? What if it’s bigger than before? I don’t want you to be delegated to my girlfriend and that’s it,” he said. “I don’t want this job to break us.”
“Then I’ll come with you,” you said.
“What?” he asked.
“I spend most nights here. If you’re that scared, I’ll do what I can so you’re not,” you said.
“Kiddo,” he said, a soft smile on his face. “You’re building your clients up here. You have work and your business is doing really well. You can’t throw that all away for me.”
“Then we try. We talk to Jared and Gen, get some advice to make it easier to handle,” you said. “Look at us. We aren’t scared of stuff we should be.”
“I do have one other thing I wanted to talk about then,” he said. “Would you maybe want a drawer here?”
“Yeah,” you said. “I’d like that. I’ll make some space in my room at Jared’s for you too.”
“Okay,” he said, reaching over to the end table, grabbing a key and fob off of it. “Um, this is a key to door and this is for the gate. I figured...you know.”
“You have a way with words, Jensen,” you said, giving him another kiss. “You getting serious about me?”
“Been serious,” he said. “I know after the holidays, we’re not gonna see each other as much. I want to spend the time with you while I can.”
“Me too,” you said, snuggling into his side. “We’ll be okay though. I promise.”
