What is your opinion on the perception of Ravio being a coward?
“What do you mean by perception. Of course Ravio’s a coward. Hilda knows he’s a coward. Zelda probably knows he’s a coward. Even Ravio flat out admits he’s a coward. Don’t get me started on his ridiculous fear of chu chus and buzz blobs. Those are the weakest monsters out there. And even to this day he’s still anxious about taking off his hood outside of the house despite the whole incident with Yuga passing ages ago. It’s not like it’s some big secret he’s a coward.”
“I wouldn’t say that’s a terrible thing, though. Not in the least. My problems with people making fun of him is when that’s the only thing they see in Ravio. He’s smarter than people give him credit for. He knows how to run a business on his own. And as much as I hate to admit it, the craftsmanship on the weapons he makes are great. Probably one of the biggest reasons why he can get away with charging so much.”
“He’s also funny and optimistic and he cares a lot about Lorule and it’s people. Enough that despite being a coward he took the risk to save everyone by reaching out to me of all people. Sheerow cares about him enough to trust him with his life and try to help his best friend. And it’s hard to get animals to trust you like that. That says a lot on his own. In a world that wants to rip everyone to shreds it was good to see someone who still wore their heart on their sleeves like that.”
“I’m not going to deny he’s got a bad streak, especially when it comes to being greedy and a coward. But if folks are willing to ignore all the good in him just to make fun of a few bad traits everyone’s got, maybe it’s not Ravio who’s the problem. It’s the people who can’t look past that.”
“He may be cowardly but at least he’s not an insecure jerk.”
