PREMIOS METROPOLITANOS DE TEATRO Alfombra Roja
INVITADOS Aarón Balderi Alejandra Bogue Alejandro Calva Alejandro de la Madrid Alfonso Borbolla Alma Cero Arcelia Ramírez Ari Albarran Ariel Miramontes Carolina Reyes Christian Ramos Conchi León Dalilah Polanco Daniel Miranda Eugenio Rubio Francisco Rubio Gaby Ruiz (Chef) Garçonne German Ortega Karol Sevilla Laura Tamayo Leticia Huijara Leticia Pedrajo Lisardo Ludwika Paleta Luis Arrieta Mabel Cadena Manu Nna Margarita Gralia Maria Aura María Elisa Gallegos Marte Calderon Maya Zapata Mel Fuentes Michelle Rodriguez Mónica Dionne Mónica Huarte Regina Blandon Regina Voce Roger González Sofia Espinosa Verónica Langer Verónica Toussaint Vicky Araico Ximena Gonzalez Rubio
Aída del Río Alejandra Ley Alex de Hoyos Álvaro Cueva Ana Sofía Gatica Anabel Ferreira Andrés Elvira Armando Espitía Armando Hernández Begoña Narvaez César Romero Chumel Torres Diana Bovio Efraín González Elizabeth Guindi Elsie Flores Estefania Hinojosa Faisy Fernando Memije Germán Bracco Gustavo Helguera José Ramón Berganza Luis Carlos Villareal Luz Aldán Manuel Balbi Marcela Alvarez Marcos Radosh Nacho Riva Palacio Nailea Norvind Natalia Téllez Pablo Rodríguez Plutarco Haza Ricardo Fastlitch Ricardo Peralta Roberto Romano Rossana Najera Tiaré Scanda Vanesa Restrepo Yolanda Ventura Yuriria Sierra Zoraida Gómez
FIM CEV Repsol curtain-raiser in Estoril
After a long winter, a new season of the FIM CEV Repsol commences this weekend at the Circuito do Estoril, Portugal with the first round of a full calendar of eight events looking for this season’s new champions.
With current Moto3™ Junior World Championship title holder Dennis Foggia and such riders as Jaume Masiá, Alonso López, Makar Yurchenko and Red Bull Rookies Cup champion Kazuki Masaki now competing in the Moto3™ World Championship, Raúl Fernández (Ángel Nieto Team), Vicente Pérez (Reale Avintia Academy), Jeremy Alcoba (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0.0), Sergio García (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0.0), Ai Ogura (Asia Talent Team), Aarón Polanco (Leopard Junior), Apiwath Wongthananon (VR46 Master Camp Team) and Aleix Viu (Marinelli Sniper Team) will be part of the new group of riders battling for the Moto3™ JWCcrown along with other riders such as Marc García (Max Racing Team), reigning WorldSSP300 champion.
After an ill-fated 2017 season, Raúl Fernández (Ángel Nieto Team) will be the man to beat after his team’s change of bike (from Mahindra to KTM) – though he won’t lack rivals in this first round with up to 46 riders registered. Worth noting among the challengers are newcomers Deniz Öncü (Red Bull KTM Ajo), champion of the Asia Talent Cup, and his brother Can Öncü (Red Bull KTM Ajo), as well as riders like Alex Toledo (Cuna de Campeones) and Andreas Pérez (Reale Avintia Academy) coming from the European Talent Cup.
Moto2™ sees the return of the ex-champions Jesko Raffin (Swiss Innovative Investors Junior) and Edgar Pons (AGR Team) to a Moto2™ European Championship where Héctor Garzó (Team Wimu CNS) must be the man to watch, along with Lukas Tulovic (Team Wimu CNS) and Dimas Ekky (Astra Honda Racing Team), after the departure of champion Eric Granado, Steven Odendaal and Joe Roberts to the Moto2™ World Championship.
Once again the ETC will be the first step towards the World Championship after a brilliant inaugural 2017 season. 49 riders have signed up for the first round at the Estoril Circuit where representatives of more than 15 different nationalities will be taking part. The arrival of new teams, including several ‘junior teams’, means that this category will have the largest grid of the FIM CEV Repsol. With so many participating forecasting is no easy task, but riders such as Francisco Gómez (Larresport Bradol), Iker García (Reale Avintia Blumaq HMA) and Alejandro Díez (Honda Impala) will surely be among those looking to take over from Manuel González as champion of the category in 2018.
The first round in Estoril comprises a two-race program for the Moto2™ and ETC categories, with one race in Moto3™. The European Kawasaki Z Cup returns this year to the FIM CEV Repsol although the first race won’t be until the second round of the season in Valencia on April 29.
This year’s opening round in Estoril marks the beginning of a season that continues in the Ricardo Tormo circuit on April 29, with a Moto3™ JWC race in Le Mans on May 19. All categories will return for the round in Barcelona on June 10, followed by MotorLand Aragón on July 29. On the 30th September Jerez hosts the sixth event of the season before Albacete, on October 14. The season’s final round will be in Valencia on November 25.
Next Sunday’s race schedule is as follows:
ETC Race 1 (16 laps): 11.00
Moto2™ Race 1 (18 laps): 12.00
Moto3™ (17 laps): 13.00
ETC 2 Race 2 (16 laps): 14.00
Moto2™ Race 2 (18 laps): 15.00
The entrance to grandstands A, B and E will be free over the weekend with a paddock pass which will also enable fans to take part in the Pit Lane Walk on Sunday. The meeting point will be at the control tower at 10:05.
The FIM CEV Repsol’s TV presence continues to grow both in Europe and in the rest of the world. In Spain, Movistar MotoGP broadcasts live all of the scheduled races of the Moto3™ Junior World Championship, Moto2™ European Championship and European Talent Cup, as does BT Sports in the United Kingdom and Ireland. In Italy, Sky will broadcast live the Moto3™ Junior World Championship and the Moto2™ European Championship races.
Eurosport, through Eurosportplayer (France, Germany, Holland, Belgium and Romania), will also offer live coverage of all of the Moto3™ Junior World Championship, Moto2™ European Championship and European Talent Cup races. In Portugal, Sport TV consolidates its commitment to motorcycling by broadcasting live or recorded versions of all the races scheduled throughout the season. For the first time Hungarian fans will be able to enjoy the European Talent Cup thanks to recorded broadcasts by the Spiler TV channel.
Fans in Latin America, the United States, Canada and France will be able to experience recorded versions of all the races through Motosport TV, while their OTT will broadcast the races live. Band Sports television extends its coverage of the FIM CEV Repsol by showing recorded versions of the Moto3™ Junior World Championship and Moto2 ™ European Championship. Also joining TV coverage of the championship, the Edgesport Channel will broadcast live all the Moto3™ Junior World Championship, Moto2™ European Championship and European Talent Cup races, as well as being available 24/7 on various platforms with coverage in Abu Dhabi, Belgium, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Mongolia, Myanmar, the Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, Pacific Islands, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Solomon Island, Thailand and Vietnam.
In addition, in those countries without television coverage, all races will be broadcast live through the championship’s Youtube channel.

Granado and Gonzalez take last two titles
Eric Granado (Promoracing) and Manuel González (Halcourier Racing) were declared champions of the Moto2™ European Championship and the European Talent Cup respectively in the final round of the FIM CEV Repsol season, joining fellow champions Dennis Foggia (Junior Team VR46 Riders Academy) of the Moto3™ Junior World Championship and Raul Martínez (Motorbike Moya Competition) of the European Kawasaki Z Cup.
Jaume Masiá (Cuna de Campeones) won the first Moto3™ race, his second consecutive victory of the season after winning in the last round at MotorLand Aragón. The Cuna de Campeones rider snatched victory in a thrilling overtaking manouevre in the last corner, leaving Dennis Foggia (Junior Team VR46 Riders Academy) and Vicente Pérez (Reale Avintia Academy) trailing.
The race was marked by a multiple crash on the first lap which brought out the red flag. The restarted race was reduced to 12 laps. Jaume Masiá (Cuna de Campeones), Dennis Foggia (Junior Team VR46 Riders Academy) and Aarón Polanco (Leopard Junior Team) formed an initial leading group, soon joined by Alonso López (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0.0), Kazuki Masaki (Asia Talent Team) joined ), Vicente Pérez (Reale Avintia Academy) and Sergio García (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0.0). Finally Jaume Masiá (Cuna de Campeones) took his chance in the last corner to win the race and the Repsol free fuel cheque.
In the second and final race of the season, Dennis Foggia (Junior Team VR46 Riders Academy) bid farewell to the Moto3™ JWC from the top of the podium. Alonso López (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0.0) and Jaume Masía (Cuna de Campeones) joined him on the podium after a four-way race along with Kazuki Masaki (Asia Talent Team).
Behind them, Sergio García (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0.0) and Jeremy Alcoba (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0.0) led the chasing group but with little chance of the podium. Kazuki Masaki (Asia Talent Team) crashed out with five laps to go. Aarón Polanco (Leopard Junior Team) and Vicente Pérez (Reale Avintia academy), started out as possible challengers but fell on the second lap. In the end Dennis Foggia (Junior Team VR46 Riders Academy) took the win and the Repsol free fuel cheque. Jaume Masiá (Cuna de Campeones) finished the season as Moto3™ JWC runner-up.
Eric Granado (Promoracing) was crowned Moto2™ EC champion, winning the last race of the season and notching up his fifth win in a row at this circuit in the FIM CEV Repsol.
The Promoracing rider started from pole position with a 16-point advantage over Ricky Cardús (Team Stylobike), who was hampered by a shoulder injury aggravated by a crash in the Moto2 World Championship just a week ago.
Joe Roberts (AGR Team) surprised the other riders by taking the lead of the race from the off, followed by Steven Odendaal (NTS Sportscode T. Pro) and Hector Garzó (Team Wimu CNS), who started second ahead of Ricky Cardús (Team Stylobike). Eric Granado (Promoracing) held fifth and the Team Stylobike rider seventh in the opening laps.
With the race more than halfway through, the Moto2™ EC leader overtook Steven Odendal (NTS Sportscode T. Pro) and then Joe Roberts (AGR Team) to take the lead. Three laps later Ricky Cardús (Team Stylobike) abandoned the race because of his shoulder injury. Eric Granado (Promoracing) thus automatically became champion, no matter what happened.
In the end the new champion won the race, followed by Steven Odendaal (NTS Sportscode T. Pro) and Joe Roberts (AGR Team), with Héctor Garzó (Team Wimu CNS) coming in a distant fourth. Daniel Saez (Champi-JJ Saez) was the best in SSTK 600 in the Moto2™ category and Steve Odendaal (NTS Sportscode T. Pro) was awarded the Repsol free fuel cheque.
In the ETC, Manuel González (Halcourier Racing) was proclaimed champion after finishing fifth in a race won by Alex Toledo (Cuna de Campeones) followed by Víctor Rodríguez (Group Machado CAME), debuting in the championship, and Andreas Pérez (Reale Avintia Academy). The only rider in a position to dispute the title with Manuel González (Halcourier Racing) although at a 20-point disadvantage, Meikon Kawakami (Playstation Laglisse), finished ninth.
As in the first Moto3™ race, this one was brought to a halt on the first lap with a red flag when Alexander Díez (Team Honda Impala) crashed; before him, poleman Francisco Gómez (Team Larresport) had gone down. The Team Larresport rider was forced to start from the pit lane in the restarted race, which became a tussle between up to 12 riders and which was not decided until the last corner. Alex Toledo (Cuna de Campeones) won, earning the runner-up position in the ETC and taking the Repsol free fuel cheque as winner of the race.
In the European KZC champion Raúl Martínez (Motorbike Moya Competition) dominated after Joan Sardanyons, who lead the race after starting from pole, crashed on the last lap.
Next season’s 2018 FIM CEV Repsol will start in Estoril on March 25. You can check the 2018 calendar here.

Alonso Lopez wins in Le Mans
Alonso López (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) took his first Moto3™ Junior World Championship win after beating Dennis Foggia (Junior Team VR46 Drivers Academy) in a thrilling race today. The rider showed his winning form at the FIM CEV Repsol event which took place this weekend at the Le Mans circuit coinciding with the MotoGP™ World Championship in the HJC Helmets Grand Prix de France where teammate and leader of the category, Jeremy Alcoba (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0), took the third step on the podium.
After a difficult weekend with wet qualifying sessions, the race was run in dry conditions which prompted more than one comeback: both Dennis Foggia (Junior Team VR46 Drivers Academy), who set off eighteenth, or Jaume Masiá (Cuna de Campeones), who started eleventh, ended up challenging for the lead.
Markar Yurchenko (Reale Avintia Academy) made the most of his pole leading off the race followed by Somkiat Chantra (AP Honda RT), Jeremy Alcoba (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0), Aarón Polanco (Leopard Junior Team), Alonso López (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) and a large group of rivals. After a few laps the group split in two, leaving a chasing group composed of riders such as Sergio García (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0), Vicente Pérez (Reale Avintia Academy), who again made a great comeback, Ai Ogura (Asia Talent Team) and Yuki Kunii (Asia Talent Team).
With the halfway point of the race passed, suspension problems put Markar Yurchenko (Reale Avintia Academy) out of contention, while Jaume Masiá (Cuna de Campeones) took the lead followed by Dennis Foggia (Junior Team VR46 Drivers Academy) and the Junior Team Star Galicia 0,0 riders Alonso López and Jeremy Alcoba, who would fight for victory on the last lap.
On the last lap Dennis Foggia (Junior Team VR46 Drivers Academy) sneaked past Jaume Masiá (Cradle of Champions) to take first place and the Valencian rider went down trying to respond to the Italian’s move, leaving three in the leading group. Dennis Foggia (Junior Team VR46 Drivers Academy) was holding first place until he made a mistake on the last corner and Alonso López (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) took the unexpected opportunity to achieve his first victory, with Dennis Foggia (Junior Team VR46 Drivers Academy) coming home second ahead of Jeremy Alcoba (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0).
After two races, Jeremy Alcoba (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0), winner of the inaugural race in Albacete, continues to lead the Moto3™ Junior World Championship with 41 points followed by Dennis Foggia (Junior Team VR46 Drivers Academy) on 33 points and Alonso López (Junior Team Star Galicia 0.0) on 25.
The third round of the FIM CEV Repsol season will take place in Barcelona-Cataluña on June 17 and 18.

Makar Yurchenko debuts with pole in Le Mans
Makar Yurchenko (Reale Avintia Academy) nabbed his first pole in the Moto3™ Junior World Championship, after beating Jeremy Alcoba (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) by just 0.081. The Kazakhstani rider dominated the two qualifying sessions disputed in tricky conditions due to rain and became his country’s first ever rider to achieve a pole in the FIM CEV Repsol, which this weekend shares the stage with the MotoGP™ World Championship in the HJC Helmets Grand Prix of France. Together with Makar Yurchenko (Reale Avintia Academy) Jeremy Alcoba (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) and Aarón Polanco (Leopard Junior Team) will lead off from the front line of the grid in Saturday’s race, after posting second and third qualifying times respectively.
In the first qualifying session, which was also the first contact of the Moto3™ Junior World Championship riders with the Le Mans circuit, Makar Yurchenko (Reale Avintia Academy) set the fastest time of 1:54.120, followed by Celestino Vietti Ramus (Junior Team VR46 Riders Academy) and Raúl Fernández (MRW Mahindra Aspar Team).
In the afternoon session, Makar Yurchenko (Reale Avintia Academy) once again was the fastest rider and set the day’s quickest time of 1:50.987, giving him his first pole ahead of Jeremy Alcoba (Junior Team Star Galicia Galicia), who trailed the Kazakhstani rider by a mere 0.081 thousandths and who had dominated part of this second qualifying session. Aarón Polanco (Leopard Junior Team) takes the third spot of the grid in a unique front row. Somkiat Chantra (AP Honda RT), poleman of the first round in Albacete, will start from the middle of a second row led by Raúl Fernández (MRW Mahindra Aspar) with Filip Salac (Montaze Broz Racing Team) in the last slot.
However, Jeremy Alcoba (Junior Team Star Galicia 0.0) will be ready to defend his overall leadership in the standings in a race where the weather might be the deciding factor, just as it was during the qualifying sessions.
