things we are getting from the ritsumao lookback:

mao actually met rei before meeting ritsu

the first thought mao has about ritsu is that his voice is cute

ritsu Hates mao at first !!! because rei brought him home and ritsu gets jealous that he is getting between him and his oniichan. he even threatens to kill him several times aldjsk "oniichans friends are ricchans enemies!!"

yes ritsu calls himself ricchan 🥺

even this young ritsu already feels lonely because rei is already leaving him alone a lot and threatens to kill him too with his rubber band gun. rei does promise him that he will stay with him and ritsu gets mad because thats just Not true

ritsu said his first maakun because he misheard rei saying maos name. and then it just stayed as maakun forever

during this first rtmo encounter ritsu is under that blanket (unbloomed card) for a good while until mao comes and way too easily takes it from him

back then mao is a bit taller than ritsu even when he is a year younger!

even if this was rtmo first actual meeting the two had seen each other before when ritsu went to see a soccer tournament mao was participating in

their houses are closer together than we thought!!!! they are door to door neighbours and ritsu can get into maos room through their windows and does so all the time!!!

mao is entrusted with helping ritsu come again to the kids assembly taking him out of home and make him open up a bit more with the other kids (and rei spies them with binoculars while theyre at it)
