You run one of your hands through his hair, okay with sleeping in today

He returns the favor and kisses your cheeks, playing with some strands of hair

He is always on edge when the weather gets colder, you aren't like him, you can't handle it like he can

You kiss the top of his head, to show him you appreciate the thought

You stay like that until you both are ready to get up, that isn't for a while though

Both of these you fall asleep for another couple of hours, with him on top of you

It was a warm morning for you, a nice one

And it was a rewarding morning for him, a peaceful one

Cold reader- you don’t do well in the cold, you guys aren't TECHNICALLY dating..yet…, just fluff, he just likes being around you :3, I started to spiral towards the end >.<

No matter the season, the Artik stays the same

Except for winter.

Winter is the only month it manages to get colder than usual

You were not used to the cold and the challenges it brought with it

That meant you could not stay there for long- only for certain occasions

A respectable man he was, a good leader too

But he didn't only think about ways to benefit his clan

No, he thought about much more

He wanted the best for people outside his clan

A better life for everyone

It was a refreshing perspective, calming

He also wanted the best for you

Making sure you were safe, taken care of

Giving you a place to sleep when you need a break..

A way to relieve stress..

What you were you did not know

All you really knew was he could not have these two things at once

To be a good husband and a good leader while maintaining a relationship with other clans was too much

But a clear decision to make

You would never be his spouse, but you would continue to admire him like one

From afar, while he leads his clan to success

It's for the better

But when the winter comes, you visit him
