her name is asarra! she’s jon snow’s twin sister. both are bastards and aren’t trueborn. IF YOU DIDNT KNOW LMAO

i’ve had this idea for a long while (since august of 2024), and after finally getting the books i decided to change her storyline to the main series!

she’s very inspired by ellen hutter—honestly nosferatu 2024 DID give me ideas, but her general idea was made before i saw the film!

either way, her fic is also made out of spite LMAO. i got veryyy sick of the same repeated hotd/got oc in different fonts bc apparently it’s difficult for people to come up with [more] original ideas? i am a hater tbh but i was driven to make her book out of spite

asarra’s my own take/delve into the horror aspect of asoiaf. my favourite part so far in the series is the prologue in a game of thrones, the first book, and MANN did it further my obsession!

asarra’s whole shtick is that she’s being punished for the sins of her father. in this fic her and jons parents are rhaegar targaryen and lyanna stark!

when she was a girl (8 years old) she went to the godswood and prayed for a friend. the old gods did not hear her, and instead this ancient god of punishment and purity did. she awoke him.

the next day she was lead into the wolfswood by a witch and killed, then resurrected. she believed that the old gods sent her to her death, and is terrified of them and the godswood.

guess what? still no friends!

anyways the resurrection part is also important! obviously bc she died at 8 and shit but WHATEVERR!! resurrection in asoiaf changes you (as we see throughout the series), and i wanted to explore a bit with a child and how their perception of the world, and themselves especially, change.

flash two years later when she’s 10, asarra prays to any god for a friend. for something, as she pushed her family away and is far too deep in her loneliness. this is when the ancient god makes itself known to her. not in a way of speaking or physical form, just by intimidation? i guess? it sparks a dread inside asarra, and she feels as if she is being watched, shadows closing in. she knows not what is with her, but it is of malevolence, and the feeling never goes away.

honestly it sounds silly when i explain it like this, but i dont have a very specific way of explaining her character? if this makes sense? asarra is genuinely my all time favourite oc, and i am SO glad that i have such an opportunity to share my fic online. and i am super glad that strangers are interested in her, no matter if they are in the same fandom!

imma share some fun facts too!!

so, the stark children in the books (and show) get direwolves, as they are the symbol of their house! initially i didnt want to give asarra a wolf for herself (despite jon, her twin and another bastard) getting one. not to set her apart and make her different, but mainly because i saw her more of a cat person.

in the end, i changed my mind and ended up giving her a wolf. black dog symbolism fits her so immensely well (as they are seen as black omens, death/impending death, witchcraft, the afterlife, etc)! i figured that it suits asarra more, despite the fact that she’s utterly TERRIFIED of dogs and in addition, wolves.

i decided to name it waithe, as a take on capelthwaite, though from my understanding i dont think that he is not an omen of death specifically. either way, it suits her a lot!

since asarra is afraid of dogs, she was VERY adamant on not taking care/owning the pup. unfortunately this did not work and her ‘father’ (ned stark) forced her to take care of it, in hopes that it would help with her fear. the direwolves in the show take after the stark children’s personalities and traits, so i imagine that waithe obviously would as well.

waithe would oft avoid her littermates and stick to asarra. she is very skittish and anxious, and afraid of the hunting dogs and the kennels of winterfell. it took asarra a long few weeks to get used to waithe, and now she cannot go anywhere without her (lest both waithe and asarra succumb to panic and anxiety attacks), and asarra cannot go anywhere near any other dogs with waithe.

in short, she both got over her fear of dogs AND made it worse! AWESOME!!

i believe that the stark children can also warg into the wolves as well (i.e switching their minds into the wolf’s, i think? i dont particularly remember!! oops!!) the first time that this happened to asarra she was TERRIFIED. terrified to the point where she refused to sleep in the same room as waithe, until eventually she managed to subconsciously stop it.

im unfortunately not too sure where her story is going to end up after a certain point as 1. i am a slow reader (i am 200/600 pages in on the first book and have had it for 4 months) and 2. i also forgot what happens in the show LMFAOO. but so far i do know that asarra does not go down with ned, arya, and sansa to kings landing (as ned knew she would hate it there and needed to stay in winterfell), despite catelyn’s protests. she stayed with bran whilst he was recovering and such.

i dont know YET when she goes to barrowton! i decided that she would become a ward to lady baebrey dustin, and im not sure if robb stark (elder brother) sends her there, if ned ordered it, or if she runs away when theon takes winterfell and such. idk yet! but as i read on i will figure it out!!

also she does meet her weirdo boyfriend in barrowton, another oc of mine that i’m still working on! his name is ravus bolton, second eldest son (and only living) trueborn to roose. he is genuinely so cool!! his first piece of inspo was from renaissance artists who cut open corpses to help understand the human body and muscles and such. so yeah!! sorry to yap omgomgomgomg but i did NOT lie when i said i would LMDAOO.

I mean, at first, I thought DND was a bit cringy (ever since everyone got into it because of Eddie Munson and all of that), but after maturing a bit, I started to like it, and since I make bots as a hobby, I'm quite good at making up things (well, I think so at least), I like gave my character a whole backstory and lore, since my group (me and my cousins and brother) are like more Lawfully or Chaotic evil (I'm Lawfully Evil), I made whole lore evolving why my character is evil and ye :3 (Lawfully Evil means you follow a code only YOU know, meaning you can pick that and make your code that you don't hurt children and what not or animals) But I'll have to make sure with my cousin if some of the things are allowed since he knows more about DND than me, but I think most champain depends on what the DM (Dungeon Master) allows, since my cousin (who is filling in the role as DM) is allowing pets that gives you a slight boost in things, I have a tiger, so he'll allow it to give me a speed boost and a slight heath boost, but he said if there are too many enemies on me (and the group can't help me), he'll allow that my tiger can step in as "another player", but otherwise, my tiger will not fight alongside me, but I'll be able to control what said tiger does and stuff, but my pet counts as a mount since of the size, he said I can use it as fast travel, but only two people can be on it- he said you can only have two pets, one small (counts as an accessory) and a big (counts as a mount) but you can only pick one of the two pets who can give you boosts, and the other will only be as decoration (unless its a mount, and if it's a mount, you can then only use it as fast travel and nothing else)

All i know is DND is suppose to be fun and fair for everyone, but if you want to get into it, I recommend using DND Beyond! You can make your own character sheet on there and pick what race you want to be (I had to pick human because Kalashtar wasn't available and I had to pay for it, it only really gives you the og races to pick from, but there is a place where you can see all the races, even the ones only available in DLC's, you'll just have to alter a few things depending on what race you pick in place of the race you want, because that's what I did), DND Beyond is a bit difficult to use since I'm new to it, but they do give you an tutorial to making your character! They mostly explain what each thing does, the place is also like an online DND playground i think, me and my cousins might use it at that too since they don't live where I live, they live in China (no, they're not Chinese, they just live there), but they're visiting so that's why I'm not as active

They definitely had the means (and heart) to pour into the game these kind of details - that's why I fear they were following sale patterns... such as other games that were considerably more popular and all!! I'm also curious about the Sage Leaf! I get the feeling that even if the others had tried to cure him, nothing would've happened. I just get the feeling he's been there for many years (despite the fact his space suit does look like every other castaway's. Would've been cool if it looked different if he indeed has been stuck on this world for years or so 👀 like an older model of previous space suits. Maybe even back when space exploration was new to the star folk!)

With a quick comparison to Koppaite uniforms - since they've been proven to be WAY more advanced in technology- the SAGE LEAF is such a mystery!! I went for something bulkier (inspired by older space suits in their... simply bulky nature)! If only there were more... in detail... rather than just Sage being in a regular "castaway" uniform... because, he has potential to reveal signs of wear...tear... HISTORY... because they've already delved into history with Captain Shepherd's records!!! Why not reveal more through Sage!!!

But! Absolutely! I truly hope they didn't merge the stories... because, they already established so much prior to - to change, I don't know what would come of it??? ;_;; I guess I shouldn't be too pessimistic, because... as you've mentioned, they have been consistent with PNF-404, the Pikmin, in all their mystery... so absolutely! I'll keep my hopes up!

It's so mysterious because...the game really doesn't delve into more of these implications than just to say, oh!! They're rescued now! It has me... pondering... like, only if Pikmin 4 increased the demand, the urgency, such as timing... as they had it in Pikmin 1. By chance, there could've been a heightened sense of... oh no, this characters gonna die... how would this change the trajectory of the game, the story line... and all, by posing intrigue!!!

What will the "death" of this character reveal to me? Will this force me to the beginning of the game depending on its significance? Does this make me care more about my mission?

MAYBE... That'd make it convoluted -

and hopefully not as superfluous as that planetary list, but i didn't say anything

being that there's quite a handful of castaways to rescue... but... not all of them are leaflings. If there was just a little more push... a different motivation, such as to say, "Come on, recruit!!! Lives are counting on you!"

BECAUSE!!! You're in the Rescue Corps! It's no longer solely in Olimar's perspective! So, perhaps a...setback... to the mystery of leaflings was the application of the "collecting" role/formula of gameplay, (i.e, the sparklium, ship parts, and pokos)....so... with a little less "collecting" and a little more story-telling and focus on castaways, it would've allowed more room for an expansion of leaflings! With this, they could've confirmed whether it was, as you said, parasitic or DNA integration - or, at the very least, come closer to a definitive answer rather than just... ope... everything's okay now because of glow sap!

I'm so stumped too, that, in one of Olimar's logs, he reflects of the circumstances of Pikmin 2 to be a "bad dream"...

But!! Could this just be his memory loss? A side effect of being a leafling for as long as he was? BAH! A girl can dream, it just seems Pikmin 4 tossed the concepts of Pikmin 2 not to mention the obliteration of Pikmin 3 for some reason seeing that they changed the whole purpose to why Louie is on PNF-404 to begin with... or... unless... Louie forgot too...............

but that's just a theory..........
