Springfield Armory has unveiled a series of optics-ready 1911 pistols, incorporating the new 1911 AOS (Agency Optic System) that provides compatibility with modern red dot sights. Developed in collaboration with Agency Arms, the AOS is a plate-based system allowing users to mount various popular optics by simply attaching the appropriate plate. The lineup includes models like the 1911 Ronin, Operator, and Emissary, available in both 9mm and .45 ACP, with barrel lengths of 5 inches and 4.25 inches. The new offerings retain classic 1911 aesthetics while integrating advanced features, such as the Springfield's Gen2 Speed Trigger on the Ronin and Tactical Rack sights on the Operator. The AOS system emphasizes flexibility and future-proofing, offering shooters the option to switch optics easily. Jeremy Tremp, the author, tested these models equipped with Vortex Defender-CCW red dot optics, finding them to significantly enhance shooting accuracy and ease of target acquisition.

Prowl is so empty on fuel and so dehydrated I'm so glad ratchet immediately hooks him up. If Prowl thought he was messy before, the moment his systems actually start receiving proper fuel, his mess gets so much worse. He's just constantly leaking and pissing all over the med berth now.
This time he's finally stopped resisting. He has marked his Prime as his mate and he wants to keep it that way. He needs to drown his mate and his nest in his scent.
Ratchet swears as he tries to check Prowl's systems, which Prowl makes very difficult by not listening and constantly just trying to paw at his new mate. He keeps having to force Prowl back down, shoving his servos wherever they have to go to be able to check on Prowl.
The touches make the poor bot in heat arch into them and moan. It doesn't matter that he already has a mate, he also wants Ratchet. He could have both. He could take both their spikes. He could take them at once.
Just the thought alone, the thought of being stuffed ao full of two thick spikes, makes Prowl keen and roll his hips, pushing out another gush of liquid.
Ratchet gets grumpier by the minute as he confirms that each of Prowl's subsystems have seen better days. The combination of low fuel, inefficient cooling and lubrication, and excess charge means everything is in pretty poor condition.
The fuel he's dealing with. The cooling and lubrication will sort itself out once Prowl starts processing and absorbing the liquid from the fuel, but... he could speed it up.
Ratchet uses his medical overrides to transform away certain patches of armour, making quick work of applying new coats of grease to joints and topping up on coolant in coolant tanks. Prowl keens so loud and squirms. Every brush to his gears and motors, every cold infusion of coolant- It's so much physical stimulus that he's been craving for days
Of course then there's the excess charge. Of course the idiot Prowl wasn't able to overload himself hard enough to truly dissipate the charges. Ratchet takes the matter into his own hands, literally, and starts fingering the tactician.
Poor Optimus looks pretty shocked and maybe also mortified when he gets front row seats to watching his SIC get fingerfucked in his sopping wet valve
Oh Prowl wails the moment the first two digits enter him. He wails and jerks his hips down so hard and almost immediately overloads, shaking as his frame convulses and Ratchet continues to fuck him on his fingers. Every time his fingers go in, wetness squelches out, a sticky mess of lubricant and waste fluids. It sounds obscene along with Prowl's enthusiastic noises echoing in the empty medbay.
Ratchet is a professional after all and pushes Prowl into overload a few times in quick succession. He notes that the charge does go down slightly.... but it's not good enough. He gives Optimus a look, and poor OP looks back with wide optics like 'me?' whilst also being very pink the cheeks from the energon in his lines.
Even though Optimus has been quiet, the heat has really been affecting him. The moment he had smelt and laid optics upon Prowl in the hallway, his modesty panels had immediately pinged to retract. But there were more important things at stake. He knew Prowl would have needed a doctor in the state he was in. It would also he unbecoming of him to take advantage of his old friend like this........ But now that Prowl's desperate pleas are supplemented by Ratchet's look... well.... it's not looking very good for Prime in the self restraint department
It doesn't help when, apparently now fueled, Prowl suddenly has the strength to finally sit up and all but tumbles off the berth onto Prime's lap. The wet heat of his exposed valve grinds down against Optimus' manually locked panels. He knew if he had left them to normal protocol, there's no way they would not have popped by now
His spike pings him incessantly in an attempt to pressurise. It pushes against his modesty plating with such force that it hurts. More warnings for an emergency panel release are popping up. All of this gets worse as Prowl whimpers Optimus' name and starts nuzzling into his neck, sniffing him, and continuing to rock his hips whilst leaking all over his commander.
Prowl looks up at him, still looking up despite sitting in Prime's lap, and gives him such sad pleading optics. He's desperate. He whines and begs and tells his leader how much it hurts.
He needs it. Please. He needs his good and strong mate to take care of him. He'll be so good. He promises. He just wants to be taken care of.
Prowl leans in, pressing his faceplates into Prime's neck cabling. "Optimus..." he whimpers, a desperate plea, "please... I need you...."
Prime's resolve finally snaps and his panels retract with a click. He grabs Prowl by the hips (gently, but Prowl yowls at the contact anyway), and shifts him forward slightly so that Prime's spike pressurises directly into Prowls aching and swollen valve
Prowl screams then. He screams until his vocaliser cuts out into static
AAAaah I can't stop thinking about needy, squirmy Prowl forcefully pissing all over the bed, trying to mark both Optimus and now Ratchet with his scent... he's just so far gone that his processor is only focused on mating, no clear thought in mind, no room for shame. Ratchet has a horrible time getting to his medical ports when Prowl won't stop moving. Thankfully, he doesn't necessarily take issue with being pinned down. In fact, he likes it. He likes it a lot.
hrghh the moment Optimus' spike slips into him, Prowl's valve squeezes and refuses to let go. It almost hurts, after such a long time of uselessly fingering himself until he passed out, his pussy is so needy that when it finally got what it needed, it got confused. He's a drooling, dumb thing in Optimus' arms, grinding his aching valve against his spike until he manages to milk out all his transfluid. Poor Optimus... he did not sign up for this, but what wouldn't he do to help out a soldier in need? If getting his lap completely soaked is the price of Prowl's wellbeing, then fine...
Awww, but I do want to imagine that while Prowl's charge does go down, his heat hasn't subsided in the slightest. Cybertronian heats are long, and he's just hit his peak, and will stay there for a while. Ratchet has to keep him quarantined, and when the Prime is not around... he has to keep his satisfied, too. He tried to resist at first, that was his patient and he obviously wasn't thinking clearly... but who wouldn't get turned on if they walked into the room and the moment that needy, horny thing noticed them, he started to gush piss all over the berth uncontrollably, inviting them in...

WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE~? <3 || Still Accepting
@salvajecho asked:  ‘ – woah. i – wow. i mean. look at you! you look – incredible tonight. ’
Despite not much celebration of Valentione's Day in the First, some of the Scions—despite their own concerns—had conspired with The Exarch to hold a sort of festivity for the people. To lift their spirits, to celebrate the return of night, and to give those who had been at the helm of it all, some reprieve and light ways to remember to have fun. Even if the idea the Warrior of Darkness would have offered was something more akin to a tournament or some sort of feat of strength, it had been decided upon without her input to instead hold a ball of sorts.
The entirety of the Crystarium had become decorated with pink streamers and moderate décor, enough to transform the main plaza between the large Aetheryte and the Tower into a place of reverie. A band of bards played various tunes, ranging from lively music that the swarm of dancers took to using for an impromptu performance, to the slow melody that drew even the masked blue mages to cup their gloved hands against palms of locals in slow steps. A celebration for all, and something that the woman would do her best to be ready for.
Asking Zerah to attend with her earlier in the day had been nothing short of natural. After all, their friendship was blossoming, and even if she could not show off her martial skills in the night, his company would be better than others who simply speak nothing but hot air at her. Koya knew him well enough that if she wanted to escape to the Amaro pens, he would happily join her. It was a win for everyone involved, at least in her mind.
Even if she wasn’t going to plan on staying for the entire event, she did have one look she could don—a piece of equipment long shoved into her inventory. A long dress that swept at her ankles in a soft crimson, offering a strikingly similar semblance to an Ao Dai, the slit of the skirt teasing at the edge of her hip, revealing the creamy skin of her thigh with the slightest of movements. Long violet hair swept across her back, untied from her ponytail in a very rare occurrence. Black gloves rushed up from her fingers, halting just at her bicep, complementing the black heels that gave a small click when she stepped onto the wood flooring of the hallway.
What Koya did not expect was as soon as she opened the door was to see Zerah there, hand risen to tap on the barrier she had depleted between them. Blue optics were wide upon the man’s surprised gaze, soaking up his astonishment along with his fumbled words. True, normally even when she donned her casual wear, it was strictly attire to be worn in a fight, even if it offered a revealing curve here or there.
This time, he was able to see her with a small shade of pink adorned to her lips, which only seemed to pale in comparison to the crimson hue beginning to coat her cheeks from his surprised breath about her. “Just…J-just somethin’ I found, nothin’ too…” Her chin tilted away, each syllable bringing on more of the blush across her face. “Too much…is it?”
Tumblr media
Swallowing, the small stir in her chest was strange—she wanted him to look at her. Admire the work she had put into calming her wild tresses of hair, in the way that the dress hugged her in a manner she would adore his arms to. No, she couldn’t speak of such things—She and U’Zerah were friends. He a Scion, and she the Warrior of Darkness.
Koya had to clamp down on those emotions, unless they get the best of her.
“Y-you don’t gotta stare, Zerah.” Her more intimate utterance of his name was all the give she would offer him, reaching down and taking up his hand in hers, cupping palms. “Come on, everybody’s probably waitin’ for us down near the Crystal Tower.” A short walk from the Pendants, but still, it was something to think about aside from that way that Zerah had looked at her.
And the way it made her heart thrum in her chest, and how she felt so bare without her chest plate now to hide it. For once, she was rather glad her hair was down—that made a decent barrier for her to obscure her burning face.
“Let’s…Let’s go have some fun.”

I’ve ended up creating a whole team of Shadowrunners now just so my unplayed character ideas wouldn’t get lonely and i’m gonna write a little bit about em. The team is composed entirely of upper class jerks who ended up in the shadows one way or another, I’ll put individuals below a cut.
First on the list, and the one I REALLY crafted with the hope of playing as him at some point, is Firewire, real name undetermined. The core conceit I built him around was “cybersoldier with absolutely no trust in wireless” while the end result ended up more like “Cyber Mr. Hyde”. His backstory as it stands now is that he was a scientist for the UCAS military specializing in both biotech and cybernetics. He had a concept for a new breed of enhanced soldiers, but UCAS wouldn’t give him the go-ahead for metahuman testing, so he underwent his procedures himself. He laced his bones with aluminum, augmented and enhanced his muscles, replaced his heart, installed auxiliary air tanks and a wired reflexes system, and placed multiple datajacks in his skull. Under laboratory conditions it all worked exactly as he intended - he was stronger, faster, and more durable than anything UCAS labs had produced before, all on top of his pre-existing genius. It was when he LEFT the labs the failures became evident - the cutting edge myomers he used to enhance his musculature turned out to be sensitive to solar radiation, and being exposed to the sun tended to cause constant-but-minute spasms throughout the body, essentially afflicting him with palsy-like shakes that cause constantly shifting minor pain. These side effects alone were enough to rule out the procedure’s use on anyone else, but things kept getting worse for him - as time wore on and his aversion to the sun isolated him from society, he came to truly despise normal metahumans, regarding them both as inferior creatures AND his tormentors. He took to shadowrunning mostly as an excuse to kill, and his preferred weapon is a heavily customized Ruger 101 rifle with his old lab assistant VI running on an embedded commlink - the VI is about as sentient as a chatbot but he considers it his only true friend. Firewire’s name comes from his distinctive visual appearance when on a job - his aversion to wireless means all of his gear is ultimately connected via optical cable to one of his datajacks - or more accurately to one of the data pass-throughs in his signature helmet. His helmet is one of his earlier creations, the “Situational Awareness Lightweight-Longwear E-War Tool”, or SALLET, and it boasts a sensor suite that can detect just about anything you can imagine as well as integrated goggles and headphones to ensure nothing escapes notice. With his head completely encased and his body wreathed in wires he could easily be mistaken for some sort of walker drone, but when he’s not wearing his combat gear he could almost be mistaken for a regular fit human - only the small bulges of his dermal plates and his chrome teeth give away any modification at all.
------------------------------------
The second member of the team is rather unconventional - the rigger Overwatch, real name Hannah Madison. Hannah is a changeling with what she would consider very unfortunate defining features - a mermaid’s tail and functional gills. Many in her (very wealthy) family thought it was a blessing, but she grew up despising her “deformity” - she had no desire to live a carefree life frolicking with dolphins, she just wanted to work with machines. Her lack not only of legs but of a typical metahuman motor cortex to connect cybernetic or bioware legs to have meant a life spent in a wheelchair, something only the poorest of people would typically consider these days. Her affinity for machines did however result in her construction of a drone chair that she can control more naturally, though it leaves her own body slack in the seat which many find uncomfortable.
Hannah’s family never resented her, but she always resented pretty much everyone around her. She felt that whether they mocked her or pitied her or avoided her, no one could simply accept her, and so she came to reject the real world as well, living instead in the matrix or vicariously through countless drones of every kind. Her detachment from society eventually led her to shadowrunning, which she took to with great enthusiasm once she found a team that could look past her physical limitations.
She could not, of course, simply go with a team on a mission - her chair was well made, but not so versatile she could expect it to handle any situation a runner might encounter. Instead she modified a GTS Tower blimp drone with hardware and software to hide it from view and a rigger cocoon that could safely take her up with it, while modifying her own body with top of the line electronics gear and enough nutrient and waste storage to allow her to stay afloat for days without an issue. From her invisible perch above the mission site she remotely pilots both the crew’s wheels - a heavily modified van that can carry the blimp as well as the crew - and a small swarm of armed rotoddrones through which she actually supports the team. She later added a heavy silenced rifle mounted to the underside of her blimp, allowing her to discreetly eliminate many threats before the team even enters the AO.
-----------------------------------------
The third member, Anthony “Adder” Veracruz, is probably the closest to out-and-out evil. Adder is a Dwarf follower of the Black Magic tradition, as are many other members of his prominent family. He is actually a mystic adept, and while capable of a variety of powerful spells (focusing on Manipulation as his tradition tends to do), he generally prefers to demonstrate the superiority of his magically enhanced physique by dancing around his enemies’ blows and taking them to pieces with his monofilament whip.
For Adder, running the shadows is more of a hobby, and while his family may not entirely approve of the “low class” company he keeps, they have no real moral qualms about his “little adventures”. Adder himself doesn’t regard his companions much more highly than his family does - he holds the same certainty of his superiority that Firewire does, and he’s not shy about showing it. On top of the superiority complex, Adder is also a compulsive braggart and extremely vindictive - he cxan’t stand to let anyone think there might be some area in which they exceed him, and he’s liable to “correct” those who won’t back down with force.
Adder’s skills can cover many roles, though he prefers an all-out fight with a strong opponent above all else. Of course he doesn’t really consider anyone he encounters a truly worthy opponent, so he’s been known to hang back and support the front line or even stretch his social skills from time to time. Whatever his role may be, Adder is ultimately there for his own entertainment and nothing else.
----------------------------
The final member of the team, Mix, is the closest they have to a reasonable person for all that’s worth. Mix is a female Ork rapper, but not an “Orxploitation” rapper as she’s quick to point out. As far as talent goes, Mix is squarely middle of the road - if you know her, she’s probably the best rapper you know, but she’s not on the same level as international stars. Nonetheless she thought she had something to bring to the table, and at least one corp agreed, picking her up as a teen to guide her on her way to stardom. Of course, they expect a certain return on their investments now...
Her road has been bumpy, to say the least - for all the talk the corp suits did about her talent, it quickly became clear they DID want her to become just another disposable Orxploitation cash-in. She figured that out around the time they started working lessons on shooting and gang culture in with her musical education, and to her dismay she turned out to actually be better at that than she was at backbeats or freestyles. Though she gained some recognition locally, her managers never really found a niche for her and she ultimately turned to the shadows seeking revenge against a system she blamed for wasting her talent.
In the fiction of her career, Mix is known for her stylish armored coat, her matching ballistic mask War Face, and her twin submachine guns Business (suppressed and concealable) and Pleasure (loaded with exploding rounds and equipped with a monster gas-vent system). In the field, these assets serve her well but hardly scratch the surface of what she has to offer. Before the team even gets the job, she’s usually the one talking business with Mr. Johnson, and she can talk her way through most any door. She is also shockingly capable at infiltration - under her imposing armor she wears a chameleon suit and she has the skills and agility to go with it. Though it has never appeared in any of her trids, Business actually has a chameleon coating as well, and she often carries a gas grenade launcher for less-lethal force.

New printer creates extremely realistic colorful holograms

More
Researchers have developed a new printer that produces digital 3-D holograms with an unprecedented level of detail and realistic color. The new printer could be used to make high-resolution color recreations of objects or scenes for museum displays, architectural models, fine art or advertisements that do not require glasses or special viewing aids.
“Our 15-year research project aimed to build a hologram printer with all the advantages of previous technologies while eliminating known drawbacks such as expensive lasers, slow printing speed, limited field of view and unsaturated colors,” said research team leader Yves Gentet from Ultimate Holography in France. “We accomplished this by creating the CHIMERA printer, which uses low-cost commercial lasers and high-speed printing to produce holograms with high-quality color that spans a large dynamic range.”
In The Optical Society (OSA) journal Applied Optics, the researchers describe the new printer, which creates holograms with wide fields of view and full parallax on a special photographic material they designed. Full parallax holograms reconstruct an object so that it is viewable in all directions, in this case with a field of view spanning 120 degrees.
The printer can create holograms from 3-D computer generated models or from scans acquired with a dedicated scanner developed by the researchers. The high-quality holograms can even be used as masters to produce holographic copies.
Building a better printer
When developing the new hologram printer, the researchers carefully studied two previously developed holographic printer technologies to understand their advantages and drawbacks.
“The companies involved in developing the first two generations of printers eventually faced technical limitations and closed,” said Gentet. “Our small, self-funded group found that it was key to develop a highly sensitive photomaterial with a very fine grain rather than use a commercially available rigid material like previous systems.”

More
The CHIMERA printer uses red, green and blue low-power commercially available continuous wave lasers with shutters that adjust the exposure for each laser in a matter of milliseconds. The researchers also created a special anti-vibrating mechanical system to keep the holographic plate from moving during the recording.
Holograms are created by recording small holographic elements known as hogels, one after another using three spatial light modulators and a custom designed full-color optical printing head that enables the 120-degree parallax. After printing, the holograms are developed in chemical baths and sealed for protection.
The hogel size can be toggled between 250 and 500 microns and the printing rate adjusted from 1 to 50 hertz (Hz). For example, if a hogel size of 250 microns is used, the maximum printing speed is 50 Hz. At this speed it would take 11 hours to print a hologram measuring 30 by 40 centimeters, about half of the time it would take using previous systems based on pulsed lasers.
High brightness and clarity
The researchers used the new technology to print holograms that measured up to 60 by 80 centimeters showing various color objects including toys, a butterfly and a museum object.
“The new system offers a much wider field of view, higher resolution and noticeably better color rendition and dynamic range than previous systems,” said Gentet. “The full-color holographic material we developed provides improved brightness and clarity while the low-power, continuous wave lasers make the system easy to use.”
The researchers say that as technology improves, especially 3-D software, it may be possible to expand their hologram printing approach to medical or other advanced applications.
