Breakfast Club except that one Bender up Claire’s skirt scene never happened and they were all platonic at the end⁉️🤯🤯🤯🤯

sooo yeah, watched the breakfast club recently. 8/10, a pretty damn solid movie. But I have 2 complaints that I think is pretty common amongst people who’ve seen this movie. Bender/Claire and Ally’s makeover. Bender and Claire felt… really forced. 3/4 of the movie was just Bender getting pressed about Claire even breathing. Also he literally shoved his head up her dress without her consent like who looks at that and thinks boyfriend material. Personally I would’ve liked it a lot better if everyone just stayed friends at the end or Andy and Ally were the only ones that got together cuz they were actually pretty sweet.

Or they coulda just had a big polycule but the writers were cowards/hj

Speaking of Ally that brings me to my next gripe, Allison’s makeover. It felt really wrong and out of place to just change her whole aesthetic when a good piece of the movie is about acceptance. Her old look suited her a lot more than all the white coquette shit.

Heyo!! It's me Marly/Scrunkly (Main blog is @scrunkalicious), and this is the writing blog for a story called "Textbooks and Sketchbooks"! MARTOR NATION RISE UP,,,,,,

This will be the official story/lore for Martor, Marly x Viktor WOOOWWW... and this will also be the easiest way for me to export lore to y'all :3

The story will take place before Arcane starts, and will eventually follow the episodes story when they happen (I CANT WAIT FOR SEASON 2). Sooommeee divergence from canon but we ball

The story follows an art student from Piltover's Academy, Marly!! Energetic, friendly and loud, Marly is always ready to chat and make new friends. She soon meets Viktor, intuitive and witty (i loooovee viktor). Blah blah they do stuff become friendz and they like art & science and maybe kiss and cuddle later on

Uhhh those like fanfic tag things that tell you what the story contains: Fluff (a lot), angst (a lot later), strangers/acquaintances to friends to lovers, maybe a bit of academic rivalry, some violence, discrimination (will add/edit as time goes on!!)

There will be some racism/discrimination scenes based off my own personal experience (I'm Filipino!!) sooo yeah,,,

ALSO. This will be an entirely SFW story. I don't plan on things getting too suggestive, but if anything happens to get a little 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 than I didn't originally planI WILL LET Y'ALL KNOW DW <33

One thing I like about the Martor story is that, in the grand scheme of things, I'm getting you interested in a side-story. Compared to the story of Arcane, all things considered, Marly is a side character. Someone who just happened to know be in the right place, right time, right characteristic to end up knowing Viktor. With Arcane's plot, she could be considered a character maybe comparative to Mel (heeyyy gorgeous). I may or may not have seen a video a few days ago about video games that have you play as a side character okay anywayz YAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY

you sigh. this was probably your worst nightmare; fern getting mad at you first thing in the morning. why? you don't even know! "come on, fern. you said we would go shopping to buy something to match, remember?"

"i never said that." she mumbles back, lips twisted into a pout, and arms crossed. "i said i would go."

your eyebrows furrowed, but there's still a confused smile on your face. "what? why can't we go together?"

her voice seems to clear up a bit, so you assume she's pouting less. "you were busy yesterday, and you're going to be busy today, so i don't want to bother you."

ah, so that's it? no wonder frieren's always going on about communication in the relationship to you. it's difficult to know what she's thinking.

"so... we're- well.. you're not going? it's already midday."

"i already went."

you blink in confusion and tilt your head. "when?"

"yesterday." the mumbling is back. oh no... "now you've ruined the surprise." oh no...

"oh... oh! i-i'm so sorry, fern." nothing's going well today, huh? you try to get a hold of her hands, easing your way through her crossed arms. "i.. i can forget that i even asked. then you can surprise me for real, yeah?"

she turns her head even further away from you. "...it's not gonna be the same."

"i'll get a potion from frieren. i'll do anything to make it seem like i forgot."

"please don't." her response was quick. maybe you shouldn't do that.

despite her stubbornness, you still can't help but smile, and as frustrated as you (sometimes) get, you can't deny how cute fern looks when she sulks. she always gives in to you quickly anyways, it just takes a bit of gentle prodding. you hum quietly, squeezing her hand just a bit in yours. "show me?"

once you let go of her hands, she just stares at you for a bit. tread carefully. you had to tread carefully here. that small smile remains on your face as you raise your eyebrows slightly, as a way to encourage her. finally, she reaches into her pocket and pulls out...

a silver cuff bracelet, and the remains of what seems to be the matching one, all broken into chunks.

"you weren't supposed to see it now. you were supposed to see it after i got it fixed."

"no, no! this is just fine." unhurriedly, you picked up each chunk of silver, eyes tracing over the flower pattern etched into it. "if i have it, we're still matching, right?"

"it's a bracelet. you can't wear this." as judgemental as her tone was, you remain hopeful. fern felt bad, and you could tell.

"i can. here, look at this big piece." you hold up a piece that has the largest flower on it. the bracelet is– or was pretty wide, so it takes up a good amount of space in your hair. "i could turn it into a hair clip if i stick something on the back."

"..."

maybe that was it? "and the rest..." gathering up the rest of the chunks, big and small, in your palm you pick out a few thinner pieces. "i could turn these into rings or charms. i have a lot of space all over me, y'know? not just my wrists."

"mm."

"yeah?"

"mhm."

good. the situation has been settled. "come on. let's get these flattened."
