i am eternally in a state of holding back the biggest goddamn rant about how the idea of one film based spider-man being deemed ‘the best’ is both arbitrary and also leads to so many people not being willing to interpret spider-man and other characters in the franchise as anything but the specific version that they curated of him. ESPECIALLY when it comes to deeming venom/v2 ‘bad’ without realizing that they’re not fight based movies, but character and relationship based. not everything in the tobey mcguire movies is gospel dipshits!!!

#oh my GOD when i tell you i could talk about this for hours it makes me so angry #it’s all ‘ohoho comics’ until they don’t acknowledge that the comics v/v2 are based on SPECIFICALLY market themselves as a love story #just bc sp-man3s venom was about addiction doesn’t mean every one is #ANYWAYS hi im autistic and me and my brother have a mutual long term special interest in spider-man that we talk about constantly
